Jayshree was my optician and she was absolutely brilliant. Very thorough, diligent and so polite and gentle. Would highly recommend her and this branch of Optical Express. Just visited Optical Express in Westfield for a consultation for possible corrective eye surgery. I was really impressed by the the level of professionalism as soon as I walked in. Yasmin who greeted me, and who then conducted the visual tests was brilliant. Yasmin put me at ease, explained what each piece of equipment did and was very thorough making sure she was happy with each test. I then saw Aashni, the Ophthalmologist who explained what procedures were available to me, the potential risk, the benefits, what the likely outcome clearly setting my expectations and went on to explain the after care support. I have been sincerely impressed by the rigour of the testing, the professionalism of the team, the range of ways to pay but what impressed most was the overall honesty without a hard sell. I am now going to think about my options but if I do go ahead I will use this clinic confidently. Thank you Yasmin and Aashni, you both ensured my expectations were exceeded.

Was served a young lady called Amana who gave me an excellent experience from as soon as I walked in. She was very welcoming and helped me select my two glasses and she made sure they suited my face as well as the fitting being right. she was very patient and was extremely thorough with explaining different types of lenses, also helping me to decide on the right glasses frames. I have been wearing glasses for over 10 years and I can honestly say the customer care I received from Amana was the best, she helped me to feel very confident that I chose the right pair of glasses and will deffo be returning in the future!

Had gone through all the palaver for multi focal lens surgery for my mum, we both took days off work and arranged travel to and from the clinic, only to be told that my mum was not eligible for that surgery after all!!! She was offered mono focal lens but completely defeated the point for her to have it. Dr Occhipinti (her surgeon) was exceptional in explaining why this happened and honest about her prospects for which I have respect for. I just wish that this could’ve been flagged up before all the talks and consultations as it was a complete waste of time and now have to wait max 28 days for the refund to be paid. There was also very little help or customer service when we had issues finding the clinic- which is inside a really big shopping centre. It was disappointing to see that no one had time to call to check up on us as when we tried to call the line was busy (the store itself was not busy when we came in…..) I guess this is what happens when a company gets too comfortable about their income due to how popular and big they’ve gotten.

My experience at White City was amazing. I was greeted by Klaudija Aashni a consultant who would help me start my laser eye journey. She was extremely helpful and very knowledgable especially around longevity and the types of available treatments. I initially went in to enquire about the treatment, however - due to Klaudija’s exceptional customer service. I actually felt comfortable enough to go through with the plan and currently have my appointment booked this month! Wish me luck! Brilliant team, brilliant consultant! Update: in 10th January I had my laser eye surgery with Dr. Dipak Parmar. I am so impressed of how quick and painless was the surgery and the results: amazing!!! I am still pinching myself when I wake up in the morning and I see bright colours and clear surfaces, read clearly the subtitles and drive without no visual problems 🤩 I felt safe and well attended, everyone was kind and answer all my questions. I especially want to thank Klaudia who was wonderful from the beginning, all the way through I don't think my experience would have been the same without her 🥰 Thank you Optical express ......... I had yesterday my laser eye consultation and my experience was amazing! Everyone was kind, attentive and very informative. I spoke with Klaudia, very nice and supportive lady that made me feel at ease, myself being very nervous, answered all my questions and assured me I will be taking care off. Brought me to all the machines, explained what exactly was doing and i relaxed and enjoyed the experience. So I arrived later than expected due to my terrible ability to navigate Google maps, but I luckily called ahead of time to let them know that I would definitely be late. Thankfully Rahul agreed to see me and was extremely warm and welcoming. Rahul explained how the process worked, what tests we were going to be done and answering any questions along the way. After several tests completed with Rahul, he escorted to me Thameena who provided an optical examination and was kind to educated me in the science behind each procedure. Thameena was great in providing explicit details, on what would occur the day of the surgery, step by step. Once all tests were completed I was then sat with Faisal who oversaw the whole consultation and finalised the payment. Faisal provided exceptional customer service and extremely reassuring answering any final questions comfortably. Great service with a great team. Would highly recommend ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I was very apprehensive about having lens replacement surgery and many friends were dubious about me going to a High St venue rather than an eye hospital. Fortunately my instincts were spot on. The customer service aspect of this service is critical and it was miles better than anything i've experienced in a hospital either private or NHS. It's now fairly routine surgery and if you're diligent with the aftercare nothing will go wrong and so all the appointment organisation, the approach to covid care, the attitude of the staff made what's a scary experience and extremely efficient and effective one.

I went in for the free eye consultation for laser eye surgery to assess whether I’m eligible for the surgery and to check my eye health. I must say the attention and care I received during the consultation were unparalleled. I think they spent around 2 hours with me running different tests and answering whatever questions I had very patiently. The patient advisor Nusreen took me through a series of machines to test various things related to my vision, must have been around 10 machines. She explained to me in detail what was happening and she answered whatever questions I had. I was then examined by the Optometrist Dr Jayshree who was extremely professional and an absolute sweetheart. I was very anxious about my eye health and the surgery, and she was very reassuring. She explained step by step how everything works and really encouraged me to take this step, and she corrected my information about the procedure as I didn’t fully understand how it works. I also had a few other concerns relating to my vision which had nothing to do with the laser surgery yet she answered all my concerns with utmost patience and attention. I will definitely come back to them for any eye-related concern I have and would definitely recommend visiting them and having a consultation with them! Many thanks for the lovely service :)

I had an excellent experience in regard of Optical Express! On the consultation day, every member of staff was professional, each explained everyhing to me and answered my questions in details. Everyone was corteous and professional. The end result is fantastic! Many thanks to everyone at OE, such as Faisal, Martha, Gloria, Julius, Dr Venter and all the rest of the staff. I would recommend OE to anyone, in terms of the end result. The only hiccup happened on the day of my surgery. My op was scheduled for 1pm but, after the paperwork and initial checks, nothing happened for ages. Other patients were waiting too but nobody came out to explain the reason behind such a long delay. Eventually, after we asked a few times, someone came out and told us about some unforseen circumstances. Although these things can happen, I feel that they should have informed us and gave an estimated time, rather than leave us to wait with no news. Communication is vital, I feel. I had nearly nothing to eat all day, thinking I would have had some lunch after surgery. Instead I came out of surgery past 5pm (4hrs later than original time).

Having normally shopped at David Clulow, I was extremely surprised at the wide selection of top designer brands offered, and that they were able to squeeze me in for a last-minute eye test appointment. The customer service provided by Rakhee was fantastic - she helped me to find the perfect pair of glasses and sunglasses, as well as telephoned the lab ahead of time to make sure I could get my prescription lens fitted before my holiday the following week. Both arrived in store for collection sooner than I expected. The store and facilities were extremely clean, all the staff were friendly and attentive, and the overall service from start to finish was first class. This has been the best decision I have made this summer. It feels great having much better vision for football, swimming etc. I had a very detailed and well explained consultation which allowed me to decide whether to go ahead with the procedure, and it's free! Once the surgery was confirmed, I received plenty of reassurances from the surgeon and Optical Express team about any concerns I had. The procedure was a little daunting as it would be for anyone doing this, but it was literally quick and painless. The follow up care was also thorough and excellent. Optical Express really took great care of me and it is definitely money well spent!

I attend the Westfield store of Optical Experess for my lens replacement surgery on Saturday 30th December at the appointed time of 1pm and was informed I'd be there for 5 hours due to a course of prep time before 10 mins surgery for each eye. I wasn't at all happy but the staff were very professional throughout so my heightened feelings had somewhat simmered. However, I was only informed on the day I would have to return the next day, Sunday for a check up, which is understandable but I should have received advanced notice. The Sunday was more waiting around and notably other patients began to vent their frustrations. It was evident their was a distinct lack of organisation, which I can gather was at a senior management level; certainly not store level, but which impacted on the store's performance and the service. That said, the staff were very professional, competent and respectful and in the midst of corporate failings they won on both days. I take my hat to them all, especially Hasib, who on the Sunday diffuse a potentially explosive incident incited by the father of a patient, which in my view, was without provocation. The surgery for the moment seems pricey but only time will tell.

Overall it was a really great experience. September 2018 Review - I went back again on a Saturday when the store was busy to get my glasses fixed since the lenses came off. Always go annually and had a very good visit this year. Had my eyes tested within 15 minutes of arriving and then had Rahul help me choose glasses, along with having a peripheral vision test, which was done a couple of times to clarify that there were no minor errors on the test. After having chosen the glasses, Rahul informed me that it would take up to 2 weeks for them to arrive but they came within 4 days. They were also very thorough in ensuring that the glasses fitted and if they needed adjusting, gave me a free screwdriver especially made for tightening or loosening the screws. Very good opticians and would definitely recommend them to other people.

I have done my eye Lense replacement surgery end of September and I am very pleased with the results! I was very worried to do both eyes on the same day, but relaxed straight after they operated the first one, as I could see just after they finished. My second eye was done as quickly! Basically you go to the laser room. Then another room (anestetics) to get more drops to numb your eye, a drip/sedative in your hand to relax you. (You will be fully awake the all time, just local anestetics) Finally you have the surgery, your lense added to your eye. I did not feel anything, only the liquid/drops they constantly add to clean your eye I presume. The operation lasted 10min. You cannot see anything, just lights/shapes and the other eye is under a sheet. Then you repeat (rest/ laser/ anestetics/ surgery) for the second eye. After the operation, you go to recovery room with a hot drinks...and have a good talk with a nurse that will explain the after care as we have different drops to take for a month... In 4hours I was in out. Most time was spent filling papers, checking my eyes, getting drops...as said the surgery itself was very quick. The next day I had to come back to check my eye, I had more than 20/20! I went yesterday for 1 week check up. Again more than 20/20. Eye healthy. Very pleased. I work in a office, the air conditioning dries my eyes, so I have been given extra drops, to make it more comfortable. I am also more sensitive to LED lights, bright, white, but this will reduce in the weeks coming. It's amazing to walk without glasses and see everything! Watch tv, read... Lense replacement, multifocal (see far/near) improved my life so far. I hope that my sensitivity to bright lights will totally disappears as planned. I recommend this surgery if you can afford it financially. Good luck!
