I was very nervous about corrective surgery and what options would be available to me as I have such severe short sightedness (-8 in both eyes). I met with Faisal who took me through my initial assessment and then spoke with Sheetal who explained my suitability for iLASIK. They were both so nice and reassuring, answered all my questions and gave me a lot of information. I’m booked in to get my procedure in a few weeks and I’m SO excited.

I had a laser eye surgery a month ago at Optical Express and I must say it's the best decision I have made in my life. I now have a 20/20 vision and able to see without the hassle of glasses and contact lenses. The staff at Optical Express are very friendly and make you feel at home. Especially, I found Osa really helpful and friendly. She was able to answer all my question and took me through all the details I needed to know before the surgery. Arranging and attending the consultation was trouble free and with reasonably short waits. Detailed forms to fill in a necessity. The examinations were extensive and pleasantly and efficiently handled by professional staff. I felt like I was in good hands. Next step will be lens replacement surgery. Trying to fix a date for that is a little tricky but I expect to get the date I want because I am booking in advance. Will post again after the surgery etc. Good expectations.

At the Eastcheap branch of Opticalexpress I had a consultation which was very thorough. Everything was explained well. Although there is much to take in, there is plenty of opportunity to get any questions you have at the time & post consultation answered. The staff are very friendly from the moment you are received at reception, to the qualified staff who explain all aspects & give you the tests required to discover what type of treatment, if any, is right for you. I would thoroughly recommend seeing them if you have any thoughts about improving your vision through laser surgery.

It was almost like a biblical experience when, after only four or so hours I removed the dressing from my right eye, to find my vision so much improved. Brightness, colour enhancement, definition all vastly improved. First time I was able to watch TV without the need for glasses plus I can now see where I have hit the golf ball when I play!!!!!!!!!!!! The staff in all departments were very helpful, efficient and friendly in the manner in which they each performed their appointed tasks. The continued checks show that Optical Express are concerned that a thorough job has been done to everyone's satisfaction. Well done.

I recently had laser eye surgery, and purchased some sunglasses. The store was clean and in good order. The staff were polite and knowledgable. I'm happy with my experience but there is definite room for improvement. At moments I felt I was rushed but that's based on my perceptions of the world. The price was a bit of a surprise which I felt was hidden till the last moment and wasn't clear in comparison to the attractive offers they advertise. Really excellent service from the entire team. The eye tests with Amar were professional and took little time. It's certainly welcome to be recommended the best option for you instead of having simply the highest priced option pushed at you. The salesperson spent half an hour with me choosing frames and actually seemed happy to help which is a rarity in retail.

I had a swollen painful eye, and due to other health issues was worried it could be a serious issue. I was seen on the same day. Amar reassured me that the issue was straightforward and gave me great guidance on treatment options. On the day the branch was experiencing some computer issues which caused delays. I understand that these things can happen, and I was kept informed throughout and offered suitable alternatives. Amar, in particular, was exceptional at looking out for my comfort and kept in touch with me during the short delay while I waited for my appointment.

I came for my consultation on friday and I'll be honest, deep down felt very anxious. A massive thank you to Yiota who helped make the experience comfortable, put me at ease and in a much better state of mind to take in all of the information that would subsequently be given to me by the opthamologist. I honestly think that if i didn't have that initial consultation with Yiota I would not have been ready to commit to getting my eyes lazered. If only this level of service was given elsewhere. I have been a patient of Optical Express for a number of years. The staff at Eastcheap have always been polite and helpful and I cannot complain about them. However, I have some concerns about the organisation itself. Firstly, prices are very high, which may of course be common throughout the optical industry these days. Also, more than once items intended for me have been sent to the branch at Bluewater, and have had to be sent on to Eastcheap. So there is room for improvement regarding organisation and communication somewhere along the line regarding this.
