Great service. I had to wait a little bit for my appointment, so when I was buying my contact lenses the man serving me gave me 10 free contact lenses to say sorry. Nice gesture I will be returning.

Really friendly staff. Was very happy with the opticians prescription, she offered a good explanation also. The shop was very busy even though they operate on an appointment basis. Lots of people huddled around desks at one end of the shop, but there are screen dividers and the staff were constantly cleaning and disinfecting which was reassuring. One staff member saw me waiting outside with a walking stick when I was just collecting the glasses and kindly brought me in and cleaned a seat for me to wait. Very thoughtful and kind. I'm happy I went there.

Amazing personal service. I called to ask them if they could help me, since I stupidly left the house to go to football without putting in my contacts. I asked if they happened to have anything in stock they could give me, and the amazing person working there gave me some trial lenses that are better than the ones I normally get for completely free as a stopover so I could play football in the rain without needing to wear my glasses. So glad I called and they were so sweet to help me out.

Although covid restrictions make appointments slightly longer the staff here are very helpful and try to ease you through as quickly as possible. Store is kept clean and staff wear face masks.

I solely come here for my eye tests because the team are so friendly and knowledgeable and helpful. You can tell they all enjoy their jobs and work and really go above and beyond to put you at ease. I find eye tests a bit nerve-wracking for some reason but the moment I step foot in the door here I feel instantly looked after and reassured. Plus the tests are quick unlike the Boots one I did once that was unbearable slow. Highly recommended!

Not often one to leave a review, but really friendly staff, the guy on the door with long hair was lovely, Ed who helped me find a pair was great and very patient. I can't remember the lady who did my eye test, but she too was really friendly. Considering it was simply an eye test, it was a genuinely lovely store!

Came in for an eye test. The branch is a bit small but the staff and service was fantastic! Very professional service and the optician gave me great advice. There was zero pressure to purchase anything which was amazing as I know most of these corporate companies pressure their staff to sell sell sell!! Can't fault the optometry here, all the staff are very professional and I am never disappointed by the care received here. However, on my most recent visit it became clear the manager was going to great lengths to upsell more expensive eyewear and on realising I was not biting moved me to a more junior member of staff to finish the process. Collection was just comical when the staff member squeezed the glasses behind my ears in an attempt to convince me they were correctly fitted. I will be trying vision express next time.

What would have been a negative review turned positive with great customer service. The waiting time was something that was a negative and I began to get quite frustrated with what seemed like an endless wait. However I was called in by one of the optometrists Athaur Alkas and his charming personality and his friendly nature helped me to forget about the long wait that I had previously. His examination was thorough and his knowledge was exceptional. I finally understand the reasoning behind the tests I always get done. If this is the standard of future opticians then I believe a lot more people will value the importance of getting eye tests done and I for sure will return in the advised two years to see him again. I would definitely recommend getting an eye test with him.

I went to Specsavers Clapham Junction on Sunday and it was very busy but I was welcomed by Nicola and was attended by Alan. He was exceptionally helpful and listened to the issues I experience with my glasses which I purchased from another Specsavers branch. Alan did something magic on my glasses which solved the issues!! Went for annual check up as my eyes were getting tired and a bit blurry. Arrived on time for my prebooked appointment and was seen straight away. The ophthalmologist was very warm, friendly and professional. My only disappointment was that I had to fork out money to pay for a new set of glasses. Silly me thought I could use my old glasses frame but that's not possible. Collected my two pairs of glasses today, happy with the choice I made!

They have prescribed my dad (who is a haulage driver) wrong glasses. Firstly, his astigmatism was taken into the account with all of the previous glasses. When we have mentioned it to a consultant this time he had no idea what this condition is. Secondly when he has noticed that he can only see on long distances with the new glasses and cant see speedometer in his truck as it is too close we came back to this store so they could fix it but were rudely turned back by their consultant saying that it is our fault and we were meant to tell them that he needs to see the speedometer too. And we have to pay more to add this option. Who will pay us for waiting for another week because of someones mistake??? In fact we have told the optitrician that he is a haulage driver but we were never asked about the type of glasses he needs so it was decided by the optetrician. Saying that, this is a common sense that the driver needs to see the long distances and speedometer. We are paying to get the service from professionals we are not meant to tell them what to do as we are not educated enough in this field. We just want to pay and see! UPDATE: the issue has been resolved by customer service team and branch manager. Thanks.

I've been using this branch for decades. I've always found them excellent and pro-active. Okay, so some customers may have had the odd bad experience they've mentioned here, but that's just human. The staff were so helpful that once, when there was a delay in my prescription sun glasses getting back to the store, they sent them on to me on holiday in the USA so that I wouldn't be without them for too long! That's considerate service!!

I have used this branch for a few years and recently went in for an eye test and new glasses. The staff had changed but I was once again impressed by the attitude and politeness of the people there. It is so good to be dealt with by people who know what they are doing. They are real professionals in a time when so much around us is inefficient and uncaring.

Not the biggest selection on view, but excellent service, affordable pricing (I have terrible eyesight so have to pay extra for ultra-thin lenses and these guys are the best value), and very thorough eye tests. Really helpful and knowledgeable staff too.

I went to the clapham Junction straight after work in the hope that they could fix the arm on my reading glasses. I depend on these for any close up work, and since they broke 3 days ago I have been struggling to see properly. I went in store today and explained my plight to the store manager Graham Tritton. Not only did he have excellent customer but he also gave me a brand new frame. All this and it had already gone 7.00 PM. Cannot explain how grateful I am. 5 stars are well deserved to him for his persistence to leave me satisfied. At first he thought that they were out of stock? But he searched and searched found them and then he just fixed it. Brilliant...#happyicansee

Visited the Clapham branch today to get a pair of rose gold circular glasses and the help there is absolutely amazing. The young man who helped me with the broken wrist (I’m very poor with remembering names) took initiative to make sure that the glasses would be perfect, especially when I’m around so much technology and glaring screens on a day today basis. He is definitely the role model of helpful staff.

Yannick was extremely helpful, so the 1 star is not for that, it's just for the hidden costs... not because of that 10GBP but if they do an OCT photography test and it costs you extra money they should tell you beforehand not when you're paying... I bit feels like rip off or being scammed...

The set up is ultra hygienic the guy who did my eye test on poit and Lady Nasser has the illest taste ever, chose a pair the suited me down to a cellular level, my thanks my lady. Staff members are polite and several apologised for delays. Unfortunately can’t rate higher because every year, regardless of branch, they always run 30-60 mins late. They should focus on fewer appointments and have a better system than clipboards.

I was visiting London for a month and needed to get replacements for a broken pair of prescription sunglasses. Walked into the shop without an appointment, was quickly met, got an appointment since I could not locate my prescription, had an eye exam, ordered two pairs of sun glasses (second pair free, except for polarized lenses). All in one visit. Came back a week later, both pairs done. Only flub was they had not contacted me when they were ready. Basically everything one could expect from an optical shop.

Small shop, but as I've found with other branches of Specsavers they are willing to help when you have problems with your classes. The bridge on my rimless glasses had broken, and they found a similar one of the right size which I could use whilst waiting for the correct part and repair, which was not even being done by them! Hats off, that's customer service!!

Amazing staff working at Specsavers - Clapham Junction! I want to thank Sukaina and Adeeya in particular for attending to me so quickly. The day of my visit I had an ocular migraine which I had never experienced before and those who have experienced this, know how scary it can be when your vision begins to blur. I was in such distressed, but I was welcomed by Sukaina who helped calm me and did everything she possible could to see I was attending to immediately. These girls are absolute angels and cannot thank them enough. Definitely visit this store, cause the staff are great humans.
