Had a really great experience at Canary Wharf vision express. The optician Darshni was lovely and got me tested and contact lens fitted in no time. The contact lenses recommended have been excellent. Shah was amazing at helping me choose some frames and all the paperwork was completed easily. My lenses arrived in 2 days and my glasses were ready in 4 days! All amazing. Really pleased and such a friendly service - certainly my optician of choice from now on.

My first time at this multiple and I was blown away by Tasnim Shalim the optometrist. Her professionalism, extensive knowledge and great bedside manner kept me reassured throughout the eye test. I purchased my first pair of verifocal glasses abosolutely love them But. Here’s the but. The lenses have falling out of these frames ever since having them I only got them the end of September 21 and it’s so annoying been back to this store once jut to mention another on holiday finally took them back The assistant was great she helped me find a new frame so glad I was able to return and change within the 100 day period Just waiting now for the new frame to come. What I would say is surely when you select a pair maybe they should say these may cause an issue with lenses as metal and the shape is not great Was advised to go for a plastic frame which I found a nice one and hope these will be better Waiting to see, so fingers crossed

My Vision Express visit was definitely a game of 2 halves. The eye exam was lovely. Everyone was very chatty, friendly and helpful. Things were explained, discussed and I came out of the exam feeling quite good about the visit. However, then comes "The Sell". The pressure to not leave the store without buying some glasses was palpable. I wanted to do some research on varifocals and possibly return with my partner but the assistant seemed to be saying that I wouldn't be able to buy varifocals if I left the store and returned later. I had to really press to get her to admit that this was a possibility. I think the pricing card for varifocals is REALLY misleading. So much so I am considering contacting the ASA as I think it might break their guidelines. The big headline is 33% off the price of varifocals and then some prices. What is not clear is that the prices listed already includes the discount. Not what I was expecting. I was disappointed to find out that "re-glassing" my reading glasses would cost £69 BEFORE the cost of the lenses. Not really a great policy given the world's focus on recycling and sustainability. The online price that I found for this service was £52 INCLUDING the lenses. Definitely not great. Suffice to say I will not be using VE for this. I did return the next day, with my partner, to buy some varifocals. The service from the sales staff on this occasion was much better. I still felt that the prices of frames were massively overblown and I'm not happy about the overall experience. I felt like I was charged way too much for my glasses and I will probably go elsewhere for my next eye exam.

I was seen for an eye test in Canary Wharf. The service was extremely professional and the optometrist took her time to check me out and ensure that all angles were covered. I was impressed. After the test, she passed me on to a sales clerk who tried a soft-sell approach. I didn't need anything done at the lament, but I will consider them when I do.

Great optometrist at the Canary Wharf branch!!!! She carried out a great and accurate examination!!! Not so great the sales assistant Nicole, she was clearly bothered by the fact she had to assist me, at the end I ordered a cheap frame just because I need new glasses but if end when I’ll come back I’ll make sure she won’t be the one assisting me! The only thing that she knows how to do is loosing customers.

I booked an eye examination at Vision Express as David Clulow's eye specialist fell sick last minute. Tasnim Shalim Boptom at Vision Express carried out the eye examination. We’ve been a few times for my children. One of my children’s myopia dropped -0.5 in five months but was told by one of the optometrists that there was nothing to worry about and I should just let her be. I have no experience with myopia myself so I followed the advice. My child ended up with moderate to high myopia at a young age. The most recent visit I was told by another optometrist that I should have intervened earlier because myopia progresses a lot faster with young children. Now my child is having myopia treatment but I deeply regretted that I had listened to the first optometrist’s advice and lost so much time. If your child is young and short sighted please seek treatment as there’re a few effective methods. Myopia itself is irreversible and with small children their eyes can get worse so quickly. We have seen quite a few optometrists lately, both private and NHS. All of them told us with myopia progressing that fast you need to intervene as early as possible. Thank you very much Vision Express for letting us sit around and do nothing. I gave three stars because I appreciate that the last optometrist was being professional and honest.

I did have an emergency appointment on Tuesday as I woke up with a burning red eye. I called the branch and got an appointment right away. Dashnee was very thoughtful, understanding and took a long time to check the health of my eye. Her consultation was very friendly and professional and she asked me to come back the next day to make sure I get the right help. I ordered new sunglasses after her advice and will also get my contact lenses with this branch after my trauma is fully healed. I can just repeat my last rating with 5*! Best optician! I have been to this branch the second time this year and was again impressed by the expertise, friendliness, professionalism & service of the staff. - A special THANK YOU to Andrew! Andrew took my concerns about my condition serious (floaters) and examined me immediately and with a kindness you can't ask for at your optician. He even took the time to explain all steps of the examination in detail (I am not a native English speaker and he made sure I did understand everything in detail). I left the store without any fear left which I had when I entered. In February I bought my glasses in this store and will make sure I will buy my next one there as well- best optician!!!

Absolutely fabulous staff. All of them!!!!!! I used to go to Specsavers, but won't bother now. The young lady, who tested my eyes was so thorough and answered all of my questions. She explained everything into such a detail and also with such a care. She genuinely came across as a caring person. Not just like someone, who wants to sell something. Then I was looked after a young man, who shared his doughnuts with my daughters, bless him. It was his last day there, so I think that's why he had some. He did ask my permission though first. He also gave them some paper and pens, to colour, as my appointment was very long one. I had an eye test and also contact lenses consultation, that's why. Then I was helped by a young lady, as I started to chat to her, and she too was helping me to find glasses, I may like. I ended up with prescription ones and also prescription sunglasses. They found a really good deal for me, which was very nice of them. I don't know how are other Vision Express branches, but I surely won't go anywhere else from now on. Thank you so much, for all your help and care and also being so nice to my children. Just to say, the branch is in Canada Place. Near Hobbs and the food shop Waitrose at the back.

Bought contact lenses. I have been to another Vision Express store last year, but the lady there couldn't explain properly on how one should go about wearing & removing the lenses. I found it difficult & gave up. Visited this store to give another try. Mez did fabulous job in explaining every little step. I was with Vision Express Canary Wharf in 2010 but somehow lost touch and went on to various Opticians. I finally visited again and regret leaving them in the first place. I was looked after by Tasnim (Optometrist) who was professional, efficient, and thorough with my contact lens check up and eye exam. The rest of the staff were friendly and caring. All in all, it was a very positive experience and I highly recommend giving them a visit.

Excellent service. Appointment booked on line and confirmed over the phone. The shop only had patients with appointments. Any specs tried, must be left out to be cleaned before returned to the display. Everone wears masks and all staff are polite, attentive and have time to answer questions and concerns. The optician was attentive, gave full explanations. Old specs can be recycled. But it is cheaper to buy new cheap frames and new lenses, than be eco friendly and just get the new lenses, and that is why service is 4 star and not 5 star.

What can I say...Incredible, Amazing, or ... WE LOVE DR ANDREW! We had a disaster this morning in which my girlfriend had run out of lenses and was virtually blind. I have used Vision Express twice in the last 3 years and overall I am very happy. Making appointments on the day is easy, very efficient and good customer service. I only had an eye test 18 months ago and I wasn't pressured to change glasses. I had another test last week again brilliant optician and I only wanted to change just the lenses. The sales person was also very accommodating to my needs didn't push or oversold and I got a free case too! I have recall using this shop back in 2008 and again cannot recall any of the feedback on here...people seem very petty on here.

My partner and I made 5-6 visits to this store over the course of a month, separately and together, for eye tests, selecting frames, collection and adjustments. We were served to the highest standards on each and every visit. Our special requirements were taken into account - private pilots - and we received great service and advice at each step of the process. We were both very impressed by the service and range of products available and would happily recommend this store to anyone for their eyewear needs. I was mainly served by Jacye and my partner by Ali. Although relatively young, they were both very knowledgeable about all products. It was very nice to see the senior staff stepping in to help with more complex technical aspects when required, but not taking over the sale. Jacye helped me to find the best frames to make the best of the 2 for 1 offer the store had on at the time. Ali helped my partner find the best colour sunglasses for flying. Ali was also able to help adjust my existing and new frames to fit better. A big thank you to everyone in store who helped sort us out with our new glasses and sunglasses!

Surprised to read all those bad reviews here. Got a free eye test voucher and made an appointment in canary wharf. Apparently smth was wrong with the system, receptionist couldn't find my appointment booked, but still got me time to see optician. Had to wait literally 5 min. Optician was very young Chinese (I think) guy, but he was super polite and knew what he was doing (not my first eye check) and done his job very quickly and explaining everything. Got my prescription and definitely will be back to order new pair of glasses from them.

Vision Express Canary Wharf are very convenient if you work in the area, as you can get an eye test at lunchtime or after work. I wear contact lenses and glasses, so have used them for both eye health and sight tests. Their opticians are polite and professional, and have always provided me with useful advice. I once had a problem with the contact lenses I was wearing, so I stopped by and they gave me a free pair of replacement lenses. The negatives of Vision Express are the sales staff, they're pushy and only interested in up-selling you on everything they can. After a dreadful experience recently at the White City branch, I was pleased to find that the one person who had been very helpful there in the past, Dariusz, is now at the Canary Wharf branch, so, as I was passing, I went in to see him and talk about what had happened at White City, which seems to have gone downhill again since he left, in my opinion. The Canary Wharf shop is much smarter and seems all round more efficient and professional. I didn't trust the recent eye test I'd had done at White City, so had it rechecked at Canary Wharf by Zara (I think), who was very thorough and helpful and confirmed that the recent test at WC was indeed wrong, which was good, if a little frustrating, to know. Big thanks to Dariusz, who was amazing again - super-helpful and really knows his stuff, so the whole process of taking measurements for the frames and varifocal lenses etc. was smooth and reassuring, as he'd done such an excellent job of that for me a year ago at WC, where he'd sorted out a few problems I'd had with (my first) vari-lenses. Collected my new glasses from Dariusz yesterday and I'm happy with them so far, but I know that if I do have any problems, he'll go out of his way to help with that. I cannot comment on the rest of the staff or store, but from my first experience at Canary Wharf, I am very pleased to be able to leave a good review. I think a lot of the experience you get in places like this depends on the member of staff you see. They need to clone Dariusz and put one of him in every branch, and then I think the ratings would generally go up..!
