I had an eye infection and booked to come on my lunch break. I was seen quickly, checked my eyes thoroughly and asked all the important questions. My optician was so lovely and professional - very efficient and fast, I was so impressed with her! Then I spent 10 years trying to select new glasses and all the staff were super helpful whilst I seemed to have tried on the whole wall. Had a lovely experience here and glad this is nearby my work.

I have been a customer for more than 6 years now and this time around I have had the best customer experience I have to say. Ade, who is a new member of staff was absolutely amazing. She managed to connect with me in order to understand what I was looking for but the problem was that I wasn't sure. She has a talent for advising what kind of frames would suit your face. She was key in helping me make a decision and find the right frame which suits my face and my personality. This is what is missing in customer service: the element of connection with the customer. Ade knows that very well. Hooray for this key asset on that team!

Efficient, thorough, professional eye examination. The tests were very detailed and everything was explained clearly to me. They also gave good advice to protect my eyes from future damage. You are taken from the exam straight to the shop to choose your glasses. There is plenty of choice, but when I said I wanted to have more time they were happy to just leave me with my updated prescription.

I have went with a problem with my new glasses. Luckily I was very good attended by Wafed Kadam. He is so professional. He tried to fix my problem but unfortunately he couldn't do it. However, he recommended a new front best adapted to my needs. Also Wafed Kadam helped to my boyfriend with his glasses few years ago, he keep wearing them. Very professional service. Initial testing was thorough and the optician inspired confidence in the follow up session which included my assessment and fitting for new glasses. Another great experience - the staff are all really friendly, helpful and very patient. Zainab was great helping me choose a pair, and after I changed my mind and decided to add a pair of sunglasses, Jade was super patient, recommending me loads of different styles and discussing my options with me. She made my experience really pleasant, especially when I was quite unsure of what I was looking for. Sunil was really helpful and put through an exchange for me with ease, and made sure I had all the correct documents to send through to my health insurance. Whenever I ask for a bit of help, the staff are always so great and I can't thank them enough!

I was seen on time and given a very thorough check up for contact lenses and eye test. The people were polite and friendly. The price they charge are very good ( my local optition charges three times as much and is nowhere near as thorough). I felt the people who saw me were very expert in their field. Brilliant service from the team at Vision Express Oxford Street, so many attentive staff - big shout out to Bea who did first checks on my eyes, and the wonderful Oman the optometrist, hugely professional. After picking out endless frames to try I was then helped by another gentleman, who pulled out a couple of other less costly frames for me to compare and I loved them both - more than the very costly designer ones I’d chosen! Had an amazing experience thanks to Wafed. I went in to do my eye test and contact lens fit and was served by the most amazing Optometrist Sumayya. She was very caring, explanatory and throughout. She did my eye test with the greatest care as well as fitted me with the most comfortable contact lenses, advised on the processes of putting it in and taking it out! I was later served by Miraj who showed professionalism and dedication in the process of the selection of the frames; he put lots of effort and showed me display as well as back stock pairs, he was very knowledgeable in the materials and designs and advised with the biggest care on what suits me. I had an urgent contact lens issue that I needed to resolve, and decided to come to Vision Express, as my original optometrist is based overseas. Zelal was very professional and nice, she listened to all my concerns and took her time to understand my situation. None of them were 'overselling' their products or services in my opinion. I also had my glasses readjusted whilst I was there, and the guy also took his time to explain why my glasses felt a certain way when worn. I had such a great experience yesterday in this store. My optician, Sumayya was really lovely, passionate and knowledgable, examined everything and when I had questions I felt comfortable asking away and she had all the answers! She made sure that my eyes get all the attention which was needed and was patient with me during the examination. This is the first time I’ve come to a vision express. I’ve always preferred smaller independent stores but I wanted a change in style where a much varied range of eyewear is available. It’s very nice to be greeted and shown around as it was my first visit to the store. Sumayya was lovely and there were no concerns as she explained all areas were sanitised. Very kind professional exam. All details were clearly explained. She even went through other options for contact lenses which I wasn’t to explore. Alasdair really helped me pick out my new frames. I’ve been wearing the wrong shape for some time. I felt bad as I was trying so many pieces on knowing they have to be sanitise them but I was encouraged. Kept comfortable and advised on what was a good fit and style. Masroor was great. He checked the fitting and put through my purchase. I needed third opinion so he was very helpful. Great team. I much prefer the experience in a larger store. Highly recommend.

I would highly recommend you visit Oxford street store (Alistair - store manager and his highly professional and friendly team). Very happy. Little background: I have been with vision express for now 17 years as a loyal customer. But in recent year’s I have seen service has gone down at Ilford store which was my regular store. Most recently I visited Canary Wharf branch who are really good but all the staff I know have left and after my visit in January 21. I had some covid symptoms. I notified and cancelled my up coming appointment. I tried to book an appointment at Westfield branch which is 10 mins away from my house. But although I wanted to book 2 months after I had covid, westfield branch and head office refused to book me although at that point I had no contact lenses as I had lost one or had any glasses. I struggled for over a month with migraine and poor vision through a scratched up old glass I had as my prescription is minus 10 prescription. After numerous complaints at the head office, Alistair the branch manger called me couple of weeks ago and offered for me to visit Oxford street the flag ship store. I can not thank Alistair enough as he made all the arrangements for me and my husband and his staff provided excellent service. I would highly recommend the Oxford Street branch. The store manager is very professional and the staff are very friendly. Excellent service to Alistair and his team!

I visited Vision Express on Saturday to do eye test and glasses for my son and myself. I had an appointment pre-booked. It was very well organized, I didn't have to wait to be seen. For the glasses, we got helped by Wafed. He was very helpful. He seemed to be well experienced, and gave us good advice. He was also very patient as it took us a while to decide on the frames. My son's glasses took an hour to prepare, which saved us another visit to come pick up the glasses. In general, it was a good experience, and I will go there again next time.

Friendly staff with a lot of knowledge on glasses and frames. The reason why they have expensive frames and lenses is because of brands they offer as well as aftercare. I currently own Oakley and have struggled with the fitting as I was used to wear tight frames. I have visited the store several times to get the fitting right and I was never left unsatisfied. And since they offer lifetime warranty, you do not have to pay for any minimal repairs.

I’m not particularly fussy, but I had tried and failed on many occasions to find a new pair of glasses that suit me, while my then current glasses were broken and the prescription out of date. One last try in one last shop before just getting new lenses for my old glasses… I was met by Department Manager, Sib. I warned him that no glasses seem to suit me; he told me not to worry and called over a member of staff who took a good look at me and made a few observations about my face and jaw, before going away and coming back with five or so pairs of glasses… each of which I would have been happy to go away with (!). The end of the day (a Sunday too), still, Sib organised an immediate eye test – more great service from the optometrist – and even tried to find the correct lenses in store to see if I could take the glasses away that day. Thanks to all the members of staff – great service from start to end.

Amazing experience!!! I’ve just got a new glasses and lenses, and all the service from the first to the last step was perfect. I only actually popped in to have a look at frames, but ended up with an eyes checked and glasses ordered same day! One of the front of house members (really sorry I don’t remember her name) helped me to choose frames, I was struggling with my choice but she was so great helping me out! After that I only waited less than half an hour to get my eyes checked, Joana explained me all the checks she had to make before seeing the doctor and was really friendly and professional. I’ve been seen by doctor Natasha, as well super nice and friendly and informative, quick but thorough check left me confident I’m getting my eyes sorted. Then I’ve been seen by Dorota to measure frames and she explained me all the thinning options and I believe I’ve got the best option. Very informative as well and professional. Glasses was ready in 3 days and was perfect! And then I’ve got contact lenses fitting, I’ve been seen straight away by doctor (sorry I don’t remember his name), very professional and polite, very thorough check as well and I was never more confident that my lenses will be perfect! I’ve never got separate contact lenses fitting before, and I was impressed with it, feeling so good! Then again I’ve met Dorota and she even remembered me from the frames fitting, double checked with me if everything is good with glasses and explained everything about lenses.. Overall, all the team is very professional and polite, super customer focused and incredibly productive in such a busy location.. it always looked so busy but I almost didn’t have to wait and I’ve been taken care of with special attention. Wonderful experience and I’ll be definitely coming back. Thank you!!!

Great experience. Vikita is an absolute rockstar! I was a little disappointed that, after I returned to pick up my glasses, I was told by a staff member that it would be an additional 45 minute wait (that I could not accommodate on the day). Luckily I have a second pair that could get me through till I'm able to get back to pick them up.

I've seen the negative reviews so I wanted to share my very positive experience. I have very poor eyes (highly myopic) and I struggle to find high street vendors that get it. I end up knowing more than the employees half the time. I had a full eye exam and ordered glasses. My experience was superb. I was seen within 5mins of my appointment time. The optometrist was professional and really knew the issues around my vision challenges. When they dilated me, I was literally blinded and was escorted personally back to my waiting husband. When I went to select my glasses, I was given excellent advice about what size and shape were appropriate for my high prescription. Despite being very busy, I always felt we were being taken care of. Lastly, my glasses were delivered earlier than promised, and pick up was seamless. End to end flawless. Will return.

I don’t usually write reviews but after the top notch quality of service I received from Mariam at the Oxford Service branch it had to be acknowledged. I’d been to many vision express stores, including this one, but didn’t meet anyone as helpful as Miriam. She provided a client focused and tailored approach. She assisted me in selecting a lovely pair of frames using her expertise and remained patient. She went above and beyond and even stayed behind after her shift to finalise the purchase. Overall, the assistants were helpful and polite. Glasses were fine, very happy with end product, and the job was done in less that five working days, which is truly brilliant! However, there might be an issue with waiting times, which I especially experienced when I went to pick up my glasses. It was strange, as there were so many assistants in the shop who seemed to be redundant and yet people sat there waiting for somebody to serve them. If f this is the norm, it certainly doesn't help the customers' experience... Perhaps, management should think of a speedier and more efficient system, and/or indicate the approximate waiting time on the website so that people can budget for it, and, crucially, if there is a problem, explain what is happening to the customers. However, in all fairness, this did not detract much from an overall very pleasant and very professional experience,... Not a full 5 but a 5 nonetheless... Thank you!!!

Excellent service at this store. I was greeted with smiling enthusiastic staff which made for a warm welcome. My appointment with optometrist (Lawrence Tang) was the most insightful test I have had yet. I learnt more about the health of my eyes than i had in all previous eye appointments combined. I really love being a customer at Vision Express. The staff are very customer-friendly, approachable and professional. I would recommend going here if only for the digital retinal scan. Which brings me to my main gripe with this place. I've been a customer since 2010 and every time I go, I leave my email address with the staff and I'm told my scan will be sent to me. When it hasn't arrived by the agreed date, I call them and ask for it. The phone usually rings for an age before finally being answered. I then have to keep them on the phone whilst I open it to ensure I'm not fobbed off. If this didn't happen, this would probably be a 5 star review.

Great first experience. Eye test was carried out very well by the optometrist (Janisha) and it truly showed in the quality of the glasses. As soon as I tried the glasses on, I was blown away by the quality. Staff were very kind and asked if my glasses needed adjusting. Process of choosing the glasses proved how much effort goes into making sure you leave with the glasses that are right for you! They were honest and let me know which glasses looked the best with my features. Would definitely recommend to anyone who wants an eye test done to perfection. I found the service to be really good for a busy store. The staff were friendly. There was a delay with my frames but they called and explained and were apologetic. They were helpful when I then wanted to change the frames after a week as I wasn't entirely happy with them, which was entirely my issue. I popped in on my way past and was amazed to see such a huge variety of glasses esp designers, i didnt even know they sold Chanel!! Il def be back when i need new glasses. They repaired my glasses which i bought abroad for no cost which was amazing. Its a busy shop so bear in mind if you go there then there is a wait although all the staff are very firendly. I waited in the shop for 30 minutes to get my glasses fixed and everyone seemed very nice and attentive. The shop manager who had broken her leg came to speak to me to make sure i was ok and offered me a drink, she was so friendly and was talking to a lot of customers. They do eye tests and contact lenses also and its only a few minutes walk from Oxford Circus underground station, def worth popping in.

I came into Vision Express in Oxford Street with my own prescription with my friends. Other people approached me told me about the promotions etc. One of the staff wasn't friendly at all so that gave me a bad impression. So another young girl approached me to see if I need any help with anything. She was a young girl, wears a black scarf ( her name is Selina/ Shelina/Celina) she was very friendly and very pretty. She understood with what I wanted in style of glasses and lenses choice. Shelina gave me the confident that I didn't have before because my prescription went up quiet a lot and she told me not to worry about it because I was worrying a lot about it. She was with me for a 1 and a hour and she is very patient. I wanted a person who's honest about the glasses if it suits me or not and I'm glad that she helped me with the glasses because she helped me a lot more than my own friends. I can see why she works at the flagship branch with the service she gives to other people and her pretty face.

Although I was happy with the eye test but discovered that I’d like it stronger and a closer reading distance than standard on the day the glasses were ready. The optiocian I was lucky to have (his name is Sunil) tested my eyes patiently and carefully, for a second time, even more attentively than the first time, listening to my concerns precisely, responding to my numerous questions and changed the whole newly made glasses for me. My first time getting contact lenses. I knew it would be difficult, because I have very small eyes. This is where Maryam was very supportive and her bubbly personality really helped. After two appointments I managed to walk away with my contacts in. From beginning to end Maryam was efficient and friendly, which really de-stresses the whole situation for me. If you want an optometrist that really cares, you know who to ask for :) Down to 3 stars! However their telephone service is horrible, with no one answering the phone and a super annoying advertisement sound track on repeat. At no point does it mention you are in a queue or on hold waiting for someone to answer. The constant advertising after 15min waiting on the phone is unbearable.

Had an appointment on 14th feb. Kajenthini did my prechecks which was well explained and smooth process, abbiniya did my actual eye exam which she did professionally and she was easy to talk to. She was really thorough with her questions and checks which was great to see and makes you feel valued, once she printed my prescription sunil discussed with me which frames would suit my face and my budget, at no point did i feel i was being pressurised to buy glasses which was great. After spending some time and chosing my frames mohammed finalised my order and he explained about all the different coating my lens would get and returns process. I visited the oxford St branch after I was given a flyer for a free eye test outside. I was directed downstairs and was not kept waiting long at all. Difficult to rate, as they are let down by an easily fixed problem: Its takes over 15 mins for the telephone to be answered, and you have to listen about their "Outstanding Service". Appointments ran approximately 30 mins late with no apology or explanation. However the actual staff conducting the assessments and examinations are professional and take time to explain the detail of your prescription. So if "Time" is not a concern they are worth a visit, if it is a concern go elsewhere.

Came here to get my glasses done, did my eye test in Purley so Im not sure about the eye test but I'm sure it's great, my NHS voucher was int he Purley store, but the team were very understanding and proceeded to measure the size I needed, they gave me full service and even gave a cheaper fee than normal for the lenses, on pickup I gave my voucher and was very satisfied, usually you need to give the voucher at the measurement session so it was very kind for them to save me a trip from Purley to Central London,It was a massive help, Also, the frames at this store are actually surpringsly cheaper and they have a wide variety especially for kids, if you are able to definately go here for kids frames, I would usually expect them to be more expensive,after going to boots, Specsavers and a few other stores,I couldn't find anything branded for my budget until I came here and settled on a Lacoste pair, 100% recommend at least a visit,
