I was extremely apprehensive about having Refractive Lens Replacement surgery because, you know ... it's the 'eyes' and you're awake for the procedure. I needn't have worried, you actually cannot see what the surgeon is doing, just bright lights and you certainly cannot feel anything because of the anaesthetic eye drops. Mr Gonzalez was very informative all the way through my procedure (which took approximately 20 minutes for both eyes) and put all my anxieties at ease. This is my first day post surgery and I'm writing this review without my glasses. Best decision I've ever made! I cannot highly recommend Optical Express enough. Mr Pedro Gonzalez and his team are brilliant and caring people and make you feel at ease from start to finish.

I have recently had lenses replaced to correct my short distance vision. The process from start to finish was very thorough, the actual process was painless and over within about 20 minutes. I would strongly recommend Pedro the ( surgeon) who put me at ease. Iam currently going through the recovery stage, after 1 week the eyes are slightly gritty and light sensitive as expected and pre warned, with realistically 48 hours I noticed the difference. Hopefully the remainder of my recovery will be as straightforward as the actual surgery. Thanks Wayne Stanley

My lens replacement was carried out by Mr Gonzalez at Optical Express, Nottingham on Friday 22nd April 2022 and throughout the whole process, Mr Gonzalez and his support staff were very professional, friendly, approachable and open. It is now the day after and I am so pleased with the results at this stage. I have just returned from my post-op check up appointment and results have exceeded the normal results for 24 hours post op. I had Lens Replacement surgery on both eyes yesterday, Mr Pedro Muel-Gonzalez was the surgeon. I cannot recommend his services enough, he and his team were fantastic throughout. Fully informative with a huge amount of checks and balances. I was asked the same questions a number of times pre surgery just to confirm each time. I had the surgery on 29/06/22 and my vision is superb today on the 30/06/22. I have just been for my day 1 check and have been advised I am fit to drive if I feel ok. I can already read the small print on the drops they have given me for my eyes, before I could not even read the large print. It really is remarkable. I am not getting too carried away as this is day 1 but my mind has been blown away by this success and its down to Mr Gonzalez. Thank you very much. Superb. Oh and I am typing this on my laptop with no glasses at all and can see every detail perfectly. No glasses required. Incredible.

It took a long time for me to make the decision to have lens surgery, I did my research reading reviews, reading about the Surgeon's and how the procedure is performed. After having my consultation and meeting with Pedro and his professional team I was happy to go ahead. The Manchester hospital is a very nice quiet place and all the staff on both visit were very professional. The nurse who looked after me after surgery was fantastic. I have just had my post Op appt (less than 24hrs after surgery) I was very pleased to be told I have 20/20 vision.

Having lens replacement surgery was a no-brainer after discovering that I was developing cataracts at the age of 50. Pedro and his team were very friendly and reassuring, doing their utmost to put me at ease. The surgery itself was incredibly quick, and I was amazed to have some vision immediately afterwards. By the following day I was able to read thr smallest font size on my mobile whereas before surgery I needed the largest font. What a great team, and what fantastic results. Very well cared for by all the staff, who were all friendly and put me at ease. The surgery itself was quick and the surgeon put me at ease by explaining what I should and should not feel and what stage we were at. I was anxious, but once the surgery started and I realised it didn’t hurt I relaxed. I had both eyes done and afterwards the staff looked after me and explained thoroughly how I had to look after my eyes in the coming days. Post surgery follow up was also thorough.

This for me has been a life changing operation ,from wearing annoying glasses that constantly need cleaning ,or pinching my nose and causing headaches, just a few of the reasons I wanted the procedure carried out. Having cataract surgery was inevitable. The whole team in Manchester were very friendly. Pedro's manner and assured approach was reassuring and helped to put me at ease. The surgery itself was incredibly quick and all through it I felt I was in good hands. By the following day I realised how much I had been missing: the leaves in the distance were clear and the colours were brighter. It was the equivalent of buying an UHD television!! After wearing spectacles for virtually all my life, I now only need reading glasses off the shelf. Would recommend Pedro and the team to anyone thinking of making a life changing decision.

My experience of having multifocol lens replacement with optical express was superb from start to finish. The entire team of people from initial consultation through to actual surgery made me feel relaxed and confident that I had made the right choice. My expectations we're that if I obtained a level of eyesight inline with that of wearing my glasses I would of been quite happy but I can honestly say that I am overwhelmed with how good the results are, everything is sharp and clear and this is only day two after surgery. The procedure is relatively quick and causes moderate discomfort which is well worth it for the results. Many thanks to all the team and especially Pedro my surgeon.
