Such a beautiful surgery, the state of the art equipment ensures your eyes are ok, then beautiful frames to choose from in a relaxed and stylish environment. The staff are so knowledgable, helpful and patient, they helped me choose the most beautiful frames that worked with my prescription. My eye test was incredible, such amazing equipment. and lovely optician, I know my eyes are healthy and I have the best lenses for my eyes. Thanks to you all.

I've used the Concept Eye Clinic in Gosforth High Street for a fair number of years. It provides a really first-class, quality service. The "front of house" staff (Rahil & Gabriel) are very friendly and provide excellent advice regarding the choice of lenses and frames.

Bought my glasses early March 2019 and the friendliness, service and support by the staff has been just brilliant. These are my first glasses but the nice variety and clear explanation made it a pleasant experience. Concept Eye Clinic were the third optician I visited and I normally don’t write reviews but thought this team needs a mention. And in the end they provided the glasses before the expected date and gave me tips and made me feel welcome to pop in anytime.

The level of care I have received from concept has always been nothing other than exceptional. I attended the older clinic and Gosforth and more recently had my first appointment at their new flagship store. I was blown away when I went in from the fantastic decor to the broad range of high end glasses. The compliment this the level of detail that was provided from my eye examination unbelievable. My optician friend (not local) said at 57yrs I should get an eye check if buying specs off ebay. Latest kit, very professional, very slick and thorough eye examination which is worth paying for. Most refreshing was the complete absence of a hard sell to buy some vain glory frames that I would lose or break within a month. OK it’s glitzy for those who need that sort of thing but behind the front of shop is professionalism and competence. Will return when invited for my next follow up

Stunning clinic recommended to me by a client. Visited for my eye examination which was incredibly thorough. The clinic is designed to the highest spec and they held a fabulous range of glasses to choose from. Possibly the best service I have ever received. I am not from the area and actually live near Milton Keynes, some 4 hours away. I was up visiting family when my contact lens ripped and I had no replacement. Having tried another opticians and been turned away, I wasn’t too hopeful about my hanged of obtaining a lens. I met a lovely French man who’s name I did not get. He called my opticians to obtain my prescription. He didn’t have the right lens’s but took my number and said he will call other outlets and call me back. An hour later he called me to say not only did he have two weeks worth of daily lens’s for me, he will give them to me free of charge. I now have my lens’s and all it cost me was a smile and a lot of gratitude. What a fantastic company with incredible staff.

I usually wear contacts as I've struggled to find glasses I liked over the years, but my new ones are amazing - they look great and I can honestly say I've never experienced such good vision from glasses. All the staff here are really friendly and helpful. Gabriel in particular spent a long time working with me to figure out what would suit, both giving good advice and patiently leaving me to figure out my preference. He even ordered in some additional pairs that he thought would fit the bill - he was right. I opted to go on the plan because it suited me (I can get my contacts on it too) but there was no pressure to do so. He also took time to fit them properly (fit on nose, position of pupil etc.) and go through the different lens options - I had no idea what a difference this would make to the final outcome. Both myself and my partner have been customers of Concept Eye Clinic for some years now and I have never experienced anything but friendliness, politeness, professionalism and a very warm welcome. The eye examinations are thorough and Vik Kumar, the optician who deals with me, always keeps me informed regarding the equipment he is using, what it's for and why he's using it. I never feel rushed and he and all of the other staff make me feel that nothing is too much trouble and that I'm a valued customer. I would say that it would be very difficult for anyone to find a better opticians' than this. Highly recommended. The following review is from my partner, Anthony Major. After many years of dissatisfaction as a patient of well known high street optician chains, it was highly recommended to me that I try Concept Eye Clinic in Gosforth. My immediate impression was the way I was treated as a valued patient rather than just another number. Vik the optometrist has the rare combination of skillful technical expertise, the latest state of the art technology (he was always obliging when I asked questions regarding the equipment he was using during my eye test) and an amiable and affable manner. The after care that I had from Gabrielle and Rahill when choosing my glasses was flawless. Since my initial visit I have returned for minor adjustments to my frames and the after sales service was also impeccable. Concept Eye Clinic is highly recommendable. My experience of this deceptively cosy, elegant and friendly eye clinic was excellent. The service was simple, streamlined and very informative - a product of individuals with great personalities who have been selected carefully for the best customer experience. I have subscribed to the Gold Plus membership scheme which provides huge discounts on frames, sun glasses and contact lenses and was shocked at how low the price was, particularly because I was given the impression by friends and family that I should expect to pay £20-30 for a decent contact lens scheme. I think these guys have spent a lot of energy thinking about how to optimise their customers' experience because my visit felt not only quick and efficient but also very laid back. My optometrist, Jim was approachable and informative and quickly (and sensitively) dispelled some misinformed perceptions on eye care that I had been carrying for quite a while. My eye test took approx 20 minutes and I was then handed over to Louise who gave me a crash course in contact lens care which was both light hearted and confidence building. I normally expect a bit of a fuss when getting checkups/ new frames etc. but was made to feel totally relaxed here. More than this though I was impressed to learn of the various programs that the business has developed within the community - providing free eye tests and access schemes to students and people with social and mental health issues. It may be a personal preference but I feel that every business should be keeping such things front and centre. I will definitely be passing on my recommendations to friends and family and look forward to the day that this rapidly growing business touches base in Manchester where I live and work. I'd give them a 6 if I could. If you want high class service. To not be a number. Have a choice of superb stylish products. High quality lenses, frames, sunnies on a quite unique and gr8 value for money scheme then bingo. If you want a simple pair and are happy to sit in say specsavers then CEC is not for you. No idea what these people are on about who say the style is pushy. It is not like that at all. It is 1 on 1 service. If you dont want something just say no. The quality snd experience compared to other opticians and your cattle market ones like specsaves is different level. If you loce a bit of tlc quality anf choice there is no better plane in an NE post code than CEC. Top marks guys!

I have been a customer for years and the service and staff have been outstanding . What has impressed me even more is the recent experience of my wife who was not their customer but on my recommendation did go there resulting in a diagnosis which has potentially saved her from loosing her sight in one eye . My wife was suffering a lot with her eyes and repeated visits to her optician was not curing the problem . However when she went to Concept they did what may be called an MRI scan of her eye as a precaution which showed her potentially likely to develop Glaucoma and referred her immediately to the RVI eye clinic for preventive treatment . On querying why this was not suggested elsewhere I was told that most Opticians do not have this machine and indeed there are very few all over the country as well who have it . Due to this she is much better and indeed the RVI said she would have developed Glaucoma had she not had that scan in time .
