I have learnt over the years that being drawn in by the 2-4-1 offers doesn't quite work out like that when you get the final bill. I've never needed anti glare, anti scratch or any other add on features as I've been lead to believe. Having recently learnt this is how they earn their commission on each prescription. This time round I ordered two pairs of beautiful frames from Amazon and asked that they use these instead. I was heavily discouraged with excuses like * we can't guarantee the quality * they look like cheap designer copies * if they break don't blame us. I let the sales rep know that they have a very boring and limited choice. At 2 pairs for £14.99 for Tom Ford replicas I'm quite prepared to take the risk and assume all responsibility. They turned out to be absolutely perfect. The actual test was very thorough and informative and I was even examined by a second professional for added reassurance. Having said that though I was advised to use a particular eye drops which are unavailable on prescription on the NHS. Over the counter is (£12.95) so God only knows how much they are here!

I was not happy with the service I received. After ordering my glasses I had been told to arrive at the store at 10.30 am the following Monday to collect them. On that day I waited for 35 minutes with several people asking me questions ,name date of birth etc but my glasses couldnt be found. Finaly someone came and told me they were still in the lab and if I came back in half an hour they would be ready. I went back 40 minutes later to make sure they were ready. Once again I was asked to take a seat but after a further 10 minutes there was still no sign of my glasses. At this point and very frustrated I decided to leave and asked to be contacted when they were in store. I wasted 2 hours of my time including the journey to and from the store and then waited a furtber 3 days before being contacted.

Excellent service was actually a friend who went and she was nervous with mask and everything at moment but the staff made her feel very comfortable and she was blown away by service and came out of there very happy with products sorted and also service received. Time’s are hard at the moment and she was made feel like normal person and treated with respect and that made her feel very comfortable and less anxious than she was initially waiting on appointment thank you 😊

Overall nice friendly staff and helpful. Optician very good and understanding to what you say. Helpful on advising which frames best suit your needs such as for varifocal and no hard sales pitch on which to buy but listen to you and help as needed. Good store and recommend to anyone looking for a good range of frames from cheaper end to designer end frames.

Super helpful members of staff. Made some good recommendations (for glasses and contacts) that helped me rather than made them more money, which shows great customer service. I’ve been going to this opticians for many years and they’ve always been fantastic.

Not sure what happened with them but their front of desk people have become more rude and unhelpful. I went in today and the young girl didn’t even want to serve me and then turned around and said “how may I help you” in a sarcastic way. The professionals who do eye tests are great though, really helpful. The young lot standing at the desk need more training ASAP otherwise I will do a better job myself.

Fantastic service, warm, friendly and professional. Thank you for my routine eye test today. My optician spotted a small abnormality at the back of my eye from a photo taken from machine.
