Plymouth is extremely fortunate to have an independent ophthalmic practice like Iconic Opticians in the city. Having experienced both, Iconic Opticians is comparable with the high quality of service one would expect from a Harley Street clinic.
My routine appointment today was not rushed, lasted for an hour and involved a range of comprehensive and holistic diagnostic testing.
The staff are very friendly and professional; I came away feeling like a valued customer. A very different experience to chain store opticians. The practice is decorated in a scandi-chique style and is a comfortable and calm environment.

Ordered a pair of prescription cycling glasses and found the whole process from start to finish to be very thorough and professional . There was no hard sell and i left feeling very happy with my purchase. I was greeted by Sam, who quickly fixed my lens and replaced the nose pads, as he noticed they were well worn. J. S.Having had two appointments at spec savers ( and I really shouldn't have gone) they were very inadequate in the service they gave me. Paid nearly £600 for two pairs of glasses and on both occasions they was poor to say the least. After a full refund from them I happened to pass iconic opticians and I have to say that they were brilliant. Very friendly and helpful with outstanding customer service. The optician gave me numerous options and I had two pairs of glasses ready within and hour and a bonus third pair two days later for a significantlower price than spec savers . I would highly recommend that anyone reading this that is looking for a very good local opticians should definitely pay them a visit.....I should have gone to iconic 🙂
A. F.Having worn glasses for over 25 years, I can honestly say without any doubt Dinesh and his team are hands down by far the best opticians in the Plymouth, Tavistock and surrounding areas. The level of service, range of stock and aftercare can not be bettered - nothing is too much trouble.
Will be visiting the fantastic new branch in Tavistock again shortly to purchase some new sunglasses.

T. W.I needed to get my specs sorted out after a cataract operation (to get a clear lens fitted to match my new 'perfect' lens). Iconic did the job in 30 minutes for a very reasonable cost last Saturday afternoon. After 4 days I'm now getting used to the new lens combination, which is better than fine. Thank you to all staff at Iconic, especially Dinesh. They provide a friendly, calm and very professional service. You'd have to go a long way to beat this level of professionalism and customer care..

I lost my glasses and was only in the country for 6 days, I checked EVERY mainstream optician in Plymouth and not one offered me an appointment within the time scale I had, let alone offer me a pair of glasses ready within 30 minutes of my check up, in fact 1 week or more after I wait over a week for an appointment was the best offer I had. I've always preferred smaller businesses over the big names and only stumbled upon the store by chance and I'm so happy I did. The next time I visit my family in Plymouth I'll head straight back for another check up. 10/10 for service. A very very happy customer indeed!

We arranged with dinesh an appointment and then welcomed with smiles from all of the team.
We weren't rushed and a very pleasurable experience I would recommend anyone to go here to get your eyes tested.
I love the fact your not rushed and my they arnt after money and are honest my fiance didn't need any glasses and they were very open that I would benefit from glasses but don't need them persay so good to feel welcomed and relaxed will see and use again in the future.

R. B.Simply the best opticians I have ever used. I've been visiting Iconic for a couple of years now and would highly recommend their services, so far ahead of the major high street chains (and I've used them all over years,) that I wouldn't consider going anywhere else now.
The staff are without exception friendly, professional and welcoming. They take time to do a thorough job be it in a consultation, fitting or aftercare. They offer a wider range of frames that I've come across in many opticians and the glasses I've been wearing for the last two years (Tom Ford & Ray Ban,) were made so well that I only needed some new lenses recently. I have previously worn out all other frames over the same time.
If you need lenses, glasses or an eye test (including a detailed and unprecedented level of ocular health checks available,) support a local business and give Iconic a go. I honestly think they're the best, congratulations to Dinesh, Rupinder and all the team - first class!
J. R.Iconic Opticians are without doubt the best opticians I've ever been to! When carrying out the eye test they're so thorough, patient and you don't feel like you have to quickly make a decision about which lens is better than the other as is sometimes the case.
They're really good at explaining things and all the staff are lovely and friendly. When it comes to choosing frames etc they have a fantastic selection of gorgeous frames and will happily bring you more and more and more when you just can't decide which is the best! They're absolutely brilliant, definitely a 5 star rating from me and I'd highly recommend them.

R. S.I recently purchased some Maui Jim sunglasses from Iconic Opticians. Despite the fact that these are simply the best sunglasses I have ever worn there was a tiny mark on the frame. Dinesh from iconic opticians did not hesitate to order a second pair and swap them immediately. The after sales care from this opticians has been second to none and deserves a great deal of praise. But they made up some excuses and refused to use my own frame. I went across to Iconic Opticians and the chap readily agreed to use my own frame and had some reading lenses with in a day. J. C.All things being equal I prefer to support independents - however Iconic isn't equal its superior to the chain store. They took twice as much time testing my eyes as Specsavers takes on my wife eye test - extremely thorough and precise.
In addition they are just really nice people to deal with.

I happen to have Hyperopia in one eye and Myopia in the other and the difference between the two is quite large, so making the right lenses to make both eyes work correctly together was quite a challenge but Dinesh and Rupinder worked tirelessly with me to ensure I was happy.
