I used to go to a high street chain for my glasses. But a friend recommended me to come to Solent Spectacles. I was so pleased and very well looked after! I ordered two pairs of made to measure varifocals. I was very well looked after by the staff, they took their time, no pressure to sell additional items, just gave me good advice. I had a better quality of frames and lenses and they price matched it all! I will for sure come back here again! Thanks so much!

I had a pleasant experience with Solent spectacles. Vision express wanted to charge me hundreds for new lenses. Solent spectacle quoted £40. They ordered my lenses, called me 2 days later to notify me they were ready to be fitted. The sit in service took no more than 30 minutes which was brilliant! Staff were friendly and professional. Highly recommended!

Good people. Very helpful. Kept in touch through out. Good range of products. Reasonable prices. I had a pair of transition lensed glasses and I had pair of Oakley wraps re-lensed. They told me the curve of the Oakleys would be strange before they started, but you get used to it.

After-sale care is also excellent; they have fixed missing parts and adjusted arms to extend the life of the glasses they have provided. Like many of their other customers I've been coming to Solent Spectacles, a well established family business, for several years now. There's never been any pressure to buy but they always offer a friendly and professional service as well as keenly priced and a well stocked choice (branded and non) of frames. I've just purchased a new pair of distance glasses and cycling glasses (hey you cyclists out there these are amazing!) and some vdu glasses are on their way. Everyone should do this! I had my prescription and quote from my opticians. Mid range varifocals £199 plus frames of £50 upwards. Thought I would check out Solent Spectacles. Great welcome and service. Quoted my lenses at £90 and frames were from £25 - some designers from £55. Nothing at all wrong with the £25 frames, good choice and no different to any other opticians. Total cost for my glasses £115, ready within the week. Impressed! Go along and check them out, great choice and service. Thanks guys.

Managed to sit on my glasses that were not bought at Solent Spectacals, but I have had dealings with them. I broke the nylon that holds the lens in place and severely bent both arms. I took them into Solent Spectacals, half expecting to have to buy a new frame, but they said they could repair the existing frame. This they did, in 24 hours, and when I collected them and asked how much, they said that it was free of charge. His words were "just a bit of nylon". Quite amazing!
