My daughter wanted to try contact lenses. She has a small face and small eyes so was finding it tricky. They gave lessons 3 weeks running until she got it. Very patient! We use them for glasses as well and they are always brilliant.

Excellent customer service from caring staff. Have been going here for a few years and always feel looked after. The only negative is I can never get through to the branch on the phone, but someone is always available to help when I visit the branch.
They have been open & operating all throughout the Covid pandemic and have excellent protocols in place.

I’ve never had any issues at all, everything is always so smooth and efficient and Ruben in particular is an amazing member of the team. I've been coming here for my glasses since the above bar branch closed. Hannah the optician is very knowledgeable and has always given me useful advice for protecting my eyes as someone who works constantly with screens and suffers with dry, sensitive eyes. She's kind and helpful as are all the staff I've come in contact with. Ruben one of the sales staff has twice helped me pick frames out that I really ended up liking that I might otherwise not have considered. I highly recommend this branch.

Absolutely fantastic service!! My mum went to get a new pair of glasses and the optical assistant Ricki was just amazing! Nothing was too much for her, she was so helpful and friendly. Best customer service we've ever had at Specsavers and my mum looks gorgeous in her new glasses. Thank you Ricki!

Sight test ok but seriously let down by aftercare employees. Loathe to share documentation regarding lens options dealing with the salesman was like pulling teeth. Unnecessary assumptions made the process harder as did incorrect information regarding specs readiness. The single vision specs were not suitable but my opinion was not accepted, futile repeated tries eventhough 'but that's what the prescription says'. If I can't see distance with distance specs they are useless. Have to visit again as only one set (not wearable) ready when it should have been two.
Addendum 02/01/21 modified review to 3 stars. Unwearable specs inspected properly and returned to manufacturer for fitting of distance lenses. Contacted that both pairs ready but again, even after visiting 3 days later, only the single visions. The other bifocals arrived later same day after collecting distance so had to return to shop.
Staff polite but still making assumptions.

They were great when I actually got my eye test but I showed up the first time and they had cancelled and not let me know, I've just been to collect my glasses and they forgot to let me know they're not ready. Again, waiting my time.

Booked an eye test for 1.20pm, on arrival was told that they had moved my appointment to 2pm! I had booked online a week ago and given email confirmation of the appointment. No effort to contact me! Pretty poor customer service. I have now booked elsewhere and hope for better service!

The glasses just fall a part went in and they strait said it's not manufacturer fault no warranty but you can buy new one.of course they can offer a bubble priced frame.

Manager very good at this opticians helping set up a contact lense charge which enabled me to continue at Specsavers. Optician also good as she fixed my left eye contact prescription that was done wrongly at vision express.

Just popped into the Bitterne branch to see if I can get my glasses mended as I had broken them at work. Even though it is not a manufacturers fault and it is my fault Rueben and his, team have sorted it out for me in under five minutes. They replaced my case too. They even wished me happy birthday for the weekend. Now that is excellent customer service which is so rare these days.
