The staff in this store are super kind, very helpful, and also quite funny (Anita was brilliant!). Sometimes a bit short-staffed so good to time a visit. Would absolutely recommend this store which is far better than the mess of an online customer services experience. In person is much better :)

Great place, really friendly and helpful. Appointment was actually for my 13yr old daughter and they were really good with her. She has social anxiety and she was fine with them they got her to relax and talk. Found out information about what children get under government that we never knew aswel whilst there aswel which was helpful. Would recommend this place to anyone who likes to be treated well and taken care of. Thank you to all of you did a great job, I really appreciate it.

very accommodating, sometimes a bit of a factory line process and the staff can be a bit 'and now conversation 2' ' and then number 3' but the formula works and the deals appear to be good. Still can't get out of there without spending a few hundred pounds. They do fix glasses well and with no fuss. Glass frame selection is good and their records are good

Exceedingly professional - a review on behalf of The Recipient of a so called souvenir. The duo of the gentlemen went above and beyond in providing the service. Not only did they act to dispel my concerns, they were polite and courteous. Various experiences and symptoms were analysed and discussed. The appropriate language was used throughout my visit. The words of a type stare were only used to aid the accuracy of the tests. My belongings were placed, for my convenience, at the distance that allowed to make an effort in order to reach for them. I was alerted about the possibility of a distress caused by the non contact tonometer machine. Yet, the force with which the initial air shots were delivered, triggered flinch responses. I am relieved, this type of a test, which I have experienced as an air being cannoned into my eyes, as opposed to puffed, despite a couple of air puffs that followed, is performed rarely. Assistance and kindness accompanied me during frames' selection process. My shortsightedness and limited exposision challenged the time in which this task could be completed effectively, I would therefore appreciate more an input of a female assistant in that regard, had she not been obliged to attend other customers. The visit was finalised with a plenty of advice and useful information on topics such as financing the purchase and the VE's continues care commitment.

It was my daughter's first visit to the opticians, she was extremely nervous and had a few tears but the staff in Vision Express Southampton were brilliant! Have been going to Vision Express for my eye tests & glasses ever since they opened in Southampton and have always been happy with the experience. They now have a permanent optometrist so I saw the same person again when I had my recent eye test. Have been referred to have a cataract operation in both eyes. Very useful information & advice. Staff are all very friendly & helpful. I have recommended them to my friends.

No one attended to us when me and hubby were looking for specs. Well, someone gave me a tray and told me how to use it and that’s it. So I got another tray and gave it to dear hubby. Did our own searching for almost 15 minutes, found the specs we wanted then we have to call someone’s attention to sort our payment. Could have been a better experience if someone was there to guide us just like the other customers who were there with us.

So glad i made an appointment here as I've not had an eye test for many many years, would highly reccomend popping in if ur due as I was quite impressed with all the state of the art xray machines and various tests they carry out there an then. Turns out my eyes still work pretty good but iv ordered some prescription glasses that will assist night time driving even more which can only be a bonus and should be receiving them in about a week or so. As for the staff again it was a pleasure as they were all chatty/professional and seemed like they enjoyed been there and Anita found me the perfect pair of Oakleys, cheers 👌

I find the service & expertise at VE is the best I’ve had, and that’s why I’ve stayed with them. Large selection, and the place for designer brands if you want them. Many other frames at reasonable prices. I had a manufacturers fault with one pair of my frames, they were replaced no quibbles. Just ordered prescription sunglasses 🕶 & loving them send to home service too 👍🏽 Postscript: I’ve had a further issue with the same frames but this was resolved entirely to my satisfaction.

Couldn't be happier. The staff did everything they could to see me as an emergency as I had damaged....well actually completely broke my only pair of glasses would be more accurate. Within 2 hours I had an eye test and had been fitted for two fantastic frames. A brilliant service with a smile.

Efficient friendly staff. Range of colours is pretty limited. When its about the only visible part of my face I want to make a statement and look like Prue Leith, but no, there was hardly anything really colourful and stunning to try on. So I went for black again. Very posh and pricey but dull again!

This would have been 5 star except for the delay in receiving my prescription sunglasses. I ordered 4 pairs of glasses here. The sight test was very good and the optometrist who was a locum was also excellent. Once i had my new prescription i was well looked after by Mariam. She was so patient, kind and with good humour. She spent well over an hour helping me choose both lens and frames. There was no pressure whatsoever and she couldn't have been more helpful. I would say in terms of customer service, she was one of the best experiences. My sunglasses were delayed due to issues in manufacturing. The staff did absolutely all they could to help resolve this. Thank you.

A friend recommended to try Vision Express. They had spare parts, though dwindling, and replaced both legs in 10 minutes FREE OF CHARGE. Happy to say glasses are usable once again.
