New glasses after getting my last pair from here in 2015 (my own fault, hadn't bothered getting another test). Bit of a hard adjustment for a week or so, absolutely fantastic now. I purchased them with one of those vouchers for an eye test from my employer. I was getting two pairs so I have a backup and the lady who served me went out of her way to figure out the most cost-efficient way to put it through their systems, running through several different ways of doing it and checking her working out before finally settling on the cheapest possible option. In all it was about a £50 saving vs the original price quoted, for the exact same glasses. The benefits of knowing how the system works. Very good, will definitely be back.

I visited the Tunstall branch of Specsavers today, my first time at this one, and to say that I was happy with how my appointment went would be an understatement, it was great, better than great, it was fantastic, wow, just wow! The staff at this branch were amazing, they were so welcoming, happy and friendly, I can't speak highly enough of them. From the minute that I walked in the door to the minute I left, I honestly felt like a valued customer, something that can be all too lacking nowadays in stores and shops, but not at this branch of Specsavers, it was absolutely spot-on, not over the top and pushy, just right to make me feel comfortable and relaxed. As I mentioned before, this was my first time at this branch of Specsavers, but I will 100% make this my branch of choice in future without doubt, keep up the good work, and thank you a thousand and one times.

The glasses that I received were great and the eye test carried out efficiently. I am a little disappointed that there is no appointment slots to have my glasses checked as my everyday glasses seem a little loose and drop forwards on my nose

I've just had my new pair glasses from here along with my eye test. Given the current situation they were very conscious of how many people and how many staff were in the building. The price range is also affordable and have a great range of glasses.

Having to wait outside is a bit annoying especially when you are on time for your appointment and the weather is cold. Dislike the idea that it is assumed that you will almost automatically be buying new glasses immediately following your eye test

Good Morning Customer Services staff at Spec savers Tunstall. I visited your branch for the first time yesterday to sit a Field of Vision assessment and was immediately struck by the friendly and welcoming customer service. This put me at ease straight away and I felt very comfortable sitting the Field of Vision assessment , something which had concerned me for several days prior. My first time at the Tunstall Specsavers. The staff were fab. The young girl at the door was so friendly and helpful, she helped me with my choice of glasses. The guy who did my eye test was so professional and put me at ease straight away. If I had any concern it would be the salesman I was very confused as he was very fast with how he conducted himself and because of these I didn’t buy the glasses there and then.

Recently had an eye test at Tunstall specsavers. Met at the door by a very pleasant lady who talked me through the booking in system and pre exam, all within 10 minutes of arrival. Also adjusted my frames whilst I waited. She invited me to sit on a well distanced chair. The optician came to show me into the room only a few minutes later. She explained she was a pre reg student and asked if was OK to continue. She was very efficient pleasant and answered any questions I had. Following the examination she had her paperwork signed off and escorted me to the door. A safe friendly atmosphere. Thank you

As a family we have been happy customers of Specsavers Tunstall for years. The staff have always been helpful and friendly. This week however they have been absolutely wonderful. Two days ago my husband had some issues with floaters/shadows in one eye. On phoning for advice he was made an immediate appt which resulted in a detached retina being diagnosed. He was immediately referred to hospital and operated on today. I can't thank Andrew and the staff enough as this could've had a far worse outcome if not for their immediate attention. I suspect customers were kept waiting whilst my husband was seen so I apologise for this. Thank you for everything!

I went in and had rebecca for helpung me pick frames she spent two whole slots to help me pick and was absolutely patient and was so relaxing to feel like my needs were looked afrer i did not feel rushed and was so happy with the way i was looked after I went in for contact lenses and stephanie looked after me and was so helpful and patient and encouraging I will only be seen by theese two but i am sure everyonelse is good to

My son was treated at the doctor's for over a week with what they suggested was an eye infection. It turned out to be an ingrowing eyelash that was protruding into his eyeball. In his growing discomfort I contacted Specsavers for advice. They were extremely helpful and the optician, Andrew Butler, responded to my photographs at 10pm at night and assured me that an appointment would be made the next day. Sure enough, shortly after 9am they rang and booked him in for a same day appointment. Stringent social distancing measures were in place. The optician reassured Daniel and made him feel at ease before treating and removing the eyelash. Reassuring advice and professional treatment followed. It's not often you come across this in my experience. Many thanks, I can highly recommend this optician.

Following my Daughter’s complimentary remarks about how good the service was at Specsavers Tunstall branch, I made an appointment myself a couple of months ago. This was in the middle of the COVID lockdown restrictions, but as my need was urgent and because of my underlying health issues, I was seen quickly. The social distancing facilities were efficient and faultless, the staff were wonderfully polite and helpful. My examination was conducted by Andrew Butler in an expert manner, clearly indicating the cause of the problem I was experiencing, while suggesting my prescription needed to be updated. Having taken his advice, I selected two new pairs of glasses, helpfully assisted by the girls in the shop. My chosen glasses were manufactured and supplied very quickly, while the price represented excellent value for money. I have been very pleased with the whole experience. Then, a few days ago, I was carrying out a DIY job, using an angle grinder. Despite wearing (basic) eye protection, a spark entered my eye. I thought the problem would pass, but the soreness in my eye continued. My Wife told me to contact Specsavers, but to be honest, I only thought they did eye tests for glasses. I did not realise they are specialists in all types of eye care and treatment. When I did contact them, I was told to attend straight away, so I could be examined between appointments. So I went to the shop, where again I was treated with courtesy and efficiency and after a short wait was seen by Andrew Butler again. Andrew discovered a sliver of metal was embedded in my eye, he even took a photo to show me! He then undertook a successful, surgical procedure to remove the metal. Following that, he made arrangements to refer me to the Hospital eye department for a precautionary check up to ensure the issue was resolved. I have no hesitation in recommending Specsavers in general and Andrew in particular to anyone requiring optical care or treatment. My five star grading is well deserved.

I used to use Specsavers in Hanley years ago but after a number of less than satisfactory experiences I changed and moved away from Specsavers completely. My husband and I decided to try the one in Tunstall because it would be really convenient for us, so we both booked appointments. All of the staff were absolutely brilliant!!! The ladies on the front desk are so friendly and welcoming, even down to remembering us when we returned to collect our new glasses. They are fab with kids as well, letting our girls try on what must have been hundred of pairs of glasses and giving out stickers!! They offered help and advice when choosing our new frames and were able to book a follow up appointment for myself at a convenient time without me needing to wait ages. It's only a very small branch but I was able to get around in my wheelchair and the staff were willing to do anything needed to accommodate my family and I. Honestly can't praise these guys enough and we wouldn't ever go anywhere else now!!!
