From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a smile and a warm welcome. We had a few people come in behind us so the start of our eye tests was delayed but all the staff were apologetic and letting us know we wouldn't be waiting much longer. The optician was friendly and explained everything as we went along and even when we were finished the staff went above and beyond, there was no pushing to buy glasses there and then, and no sales pitches. Just a genuinely friendly experience. Would highly recommend and will be returning when I need my glasses!

One of the best branches with amazing workers. Always are so welcoming and helpful, they never make you feel uncomfortable or unwelcomed. A family member of mine finds it very difficult in going out in to the public and specially for appointments and check ups walking in a busy environment however they feel so comfortable going to this branch in tesco because the workers are amazing 👏. We have been to a different branch in hanley and they didn't feel comfortable at all neither did I. Thank you to tesco hanley vision express team for being so amazing.

I took my mother to this store for an eye test, she is 90 years old, uses a wheelchair and has dementia. Both the optician and the staff were excellent, very professional, friendly and caring. Will definitely recommend.

Fantastic service very thorough from the ophthalmologist, the eye test was for my Nan and she was very looked after and very pleased with the examination. She picked some lovely glasses with the help of lynne and another lady there not sure of her name. They helped a lot deciding what suited her best. And the price was good also. Thank you 😊

My experience was great, staff were lovely and vey helpful. The reason for only 3 stars is value for money. When it was Tesco opticians they did free eye tests and much better deals on glasses enabling you to add on this like anti glare. I had 2 pairs one of which a cheap pair and it would of cost more to have the anti glare on than the glasses cost me. Think I will look around next time

I went to your branch in Hanley Tesco.The staff were amazing.they made me feel so comfortable.really helped me choose 2 pairs of glasses as I didn't have a clue what I wanted.but all of the ladies helped me so much.i literally would not go anywhere else for my eye care.the optician who did my eye test was so friendly and his customer service and care for his clients were brilliant.he went through all the options for my contact lenses as I really suffer with dry eyes. My overall experience was outstanding.the service and care I received was above and beyond.Thank you to all of the team.i really appreciated your help

I drive a fair distance just to come back to this VE in Tesco simply because the people there have always been so friendly and helpful. The inevitable sales pitch to buy glasses has to be expected, it's a business after all, and they actually do it remarkably well! Not too pushy, not too laid back. If VE only competed a little better on price I'd definitely pay a all premium for the service but tbh, it's generally too great a premium. That said, I might well buy some cheap glasses for spare use next time I pass.

Wish I could leave more than a 5* review for Mandy at Vision Express. We are new customers, I booked an online appointment and called in to ensure this was booked Mandys customer service skills over the phone today were phenomenal and this is just what you need when you go anywhere as a first time customer. She was so sweet and welcoming and reassured us that the store and glasses are kept clean and tidy at all times so that we don’t worry about anything when we attend.
