Very welcoming and friendly service. All the equipment you'd expect to see. Lots of choices for frames, now just need to get my new glasses to see (pardon the pun) how good the service really is. Update. New glasses arrived and yes they are I'm happy to say very good. The glasses I bought for driving/riding my motorbike are just perfect, hardly noticed I was wearing them even after 3 hours in a crash helmet.

The first impression when you visit is politeness with a smile. All the staff are very proficient and take the time to explain what is going on. Eye test are professionaly carried out. Overall you are not rushed into making rash decisions because time is spent to make sure you are completely satisfied

Not the best visit I have ever had with them this time. Long story short they have made 2 files under my name, but to start with they didn't know this, I was made to feel like I was lying to them about my previous visits and a purchase of glasses from them.they told me that they had no recent prescription for me I felt it wasn't a very friendly atmosphere there.

Brilliant service, although I was a bit nervous the ladies soon put me at ease, my test went smoothly and the gentleman who tested me was mindful of my hearing problem and spoke to me clearly and concisely. The shop itself, is well laid out, bright and inviting and the staff are genuinely interested in you and making you feel comfortable, happy and their smiles lit up their eyes, not like some places where the smile is plastic.

I was really pleased with how the staff were and how caring ,attentive and thorough they were during my examination. It was done at my pace and everything was explained to me along the way. It was my first visit to an opticians after lockdown and I was very anxious but the team at Burton settled me down from the outset.Thoroughly recommended.

I was seen at my appointment time and everything just went smoothly from there. All the checks and tests were explained as we went along. Woukd highly recommend (although don't go if your eyes are fine, as that would just not make sense). If you do visit then I recommend a trip to the German Doner Kebab restaurant that is just a few minutes walk away. Glasses and a kebab, you just can't go wrong.

The eye test was very thorough, and I was impressed with the detailed answers to my questions. Happy with my choice of frames and lenses, not so happy that there is a massive charge to have lenses put in my prescription frame sunglasses that I previously purchased from Vision Express. I can understand if the sun glasses were purchased elsewhere but not when purchased from Vision Express. I know they have to make a profit but there is a massive mark up on frames and lenses and unfortunately we have to pay it. I used to get my glasses through my uncle (now retired) who supplied frames etc to opticians and I paid a fraction of the price that they charge. shame we have to pay through the nose.

I was concerned about my eyesight which had frightened me so made a quick appointment ,I had extensive tests and a further appointment for 3 days later. The standard of care was excellent and I came out feeling reassured. I am very grateful for the service I received.

Thank you Vision Express I felt that your staff were really supportive when I had my eye test. I was greeted in a friendly and pleasant way. My optician went out of his way to explain everything he was doing again in a friendly and pleasant manner. All my questions were answered and at the end of my appointment I felt that I had been "in safe hands".

This was my first time with vision express in the past I’ve always used another competitor . However I was very happy with the welcome and efficiency of the receptionist . I did nt have to wait long and was greeted professionally when having the field test and X-rays . When it came to my eye test I found he was thorough and picked up on something that could easily have been missed . . Very nice and easy to talk too he did nt rush the test as some fo when swapping over lenses . In all I was pleased with service and the honest opinion of the girl assisting me with my frame choice . Have to mention the Brillaint service I received from Vision Express. The Optometrist was fantastic. Great customer focus listened to all questions and explained all test and storyline of my eyes. I have my own frames and they are trying to get another set i desire. A fantastic experience all round.

Emily did my eye health checks and helped me to choose some frames for my new prescription. She was very friendly, helpful and patient. Obviously with Covid-19, all the frames I tried on had to be sanitised but it was no bother to her how many I tried! I felt I had received a thorough eye exam by the optician and can’t wait to collect my new glasses! Thank you to the Vision Express Team, see you in two years!

Excellent customer service and the most thorough eye test I’ve ever had. Encouraged to try as many frames as I liked even though they needed to be sanitised afterwards. Nothing was too much trouble. Can’t recommend the Burton branch highly enough.

The glasses and contact lenses have been excellent but I’m a little miffed that at no point was I offered the buy one pair of glasses get one free even tho I brought two pairs spending £400 (found out after) plus 6 months later had contact lenses (£42 a month) to find out after that there was another offer again but wasn’t offered anything. I find this very bad customer service.

Wouldn’t go anywhere else! After 60 years of wearing glasses/contact lenses and using other local opticians, I went to Vision Express as I was unhappy at being told that there was nothing more that could be done to improve my vision. Mark spotted the problem and I have never looked back! Efficient, friendly service.

I stumbled on VE Burton because I had an eye test 24 months ago I booked with a competitor. The eye test was thorougher. But it went down hill after that. Their dispensing optician looked and acted bored, and I don't think he'd cracked a smile in his life... so I took my rx and went round to VE BURTON. All of the staff at Burton were so welcoming and friendly. Unfortunately I have a high varifocal prescription and it has been changing every 6 month's. The optician and contact lens consultant (My first pair of multifocal lenses, and I love them) and both with my change haven't given up on me to get it right. However, more info as to why and not just get given my rx would be helpful. And maybe the optical assistants could be more on hand to offer advice when it comes to choosing glasses(many moons ago I worked for 16yrs as an optical advisor for an independent opticians ). So I have previous knowledge, and I know that extra personal touch goes a long way. Saying that I'm converted, and I travel out of my local town to use Burton, and I've on a couple of occasions bought them cakes to show my appreciation for being chuffing good.

I had a good consultation but I was advised to use Hycosan drops 3 times a day for an apparent dry eye problem with my contact lenses which I had not noticed. For me these drops produced a bad reaction. My eyes and eyelids were red and stinging and later I developed really dry sore eyes and had to stop wearing my lenses. I stopped using Hycosan and my symptoms are now subsiding. I assume I had an allergic reaction. Very disappointing given the claims that are made about this product.

Thank you to the friendly member of staff who happily repaired the arm of my glasses that had fallen off as the result of a screw coming loose. She also sorted my frame which had gone slightly skewiff and cleaned the lenses without my asking. This is typical of the service you receive at vision Express in Burton. A couple of months ago I ordered prescription sunglasses, they should have taken longer to arrive but as they knew I was going away they fast- tracked the order.

After many years of terrible service from Specsavers, and the trauma of my last ones from them, I decided to give VE a go.. what a brilliant service.. i am terribly short sighted and due to my astigmatism in both eyes Specsavers told me that I’d never be able to have glasses over a certain size, and that my vision was the best I could get. I could never have the ones I picked and I could never have proper sunglasses. And my vision was always terrible. I collected my new mulberry glasses yesterday.. and I can see, probably the best I’ve seen in maybe 6 years, I’ve also been able to have a proper pair of Ray ban sunglasses. I’m elated. I will never go back to Specsavers! The VE optician was thorough, honest and efficient and the dispensers really knew what I wanted and needed. They made me feel important and most of all listened too!, and best of all I can see well for the first time in years, with minimal Adjustments! Brilliant
