Had used select specs for a few years, but suddenly had to start paying extra that they didn't advertise, so swapped to glasses direct. Got my first pair in the post today, a lot cheaper (still branded frames though!) Thinned down, with no hidden extra costs. Fit is excellent and they seem a lot better put together than any I've had from select specs, and the lead time was a LOT shorter! Very impressed, thankyou!

Great value glasses via mail order. Able to try pairs on at home before you place order. Web site is easy to use. Cost is far less than buying glasses from your high street opticians even if you need to thin the lenses.

As always great service from Glasses Direct. I was kept up to date through all processes of my order by email, ordered last Wednesday and two pairs of glasses arrived the following Tuesday by 1st class post so the whole process took less than a week. The glasses, from the budget range, are very good quality and the vision is excellent. I have ordered glasses from them many times and have never been disappointed and have recommended to others. I did look at the glasses available on another online optician to perhaps give them a try but found the prices advertised for their budget range is not necessarily the price you pay, they do not offer free basic lenses unless your prescription is very low and once you pay for the 'recommended' lenses a pair of '£6' glasses would end up costing over £30, even with the cheapest available lenses. With Glasses Direct you know exactly what you have to pay and a £9 budget pair of glasses costs exactly that including basic lenses. So I won't be trying anywhere else. I am sticking to what I know and where I have received excellent service and quality from whichever price range I choose and that is Glasses Direct. I also know if I have any questions regarding my glasses then the customer service is excellent and I have always spoken to polite, professional and friendly advisors who make you feel valued as a customer. The fact you are able to select 4 frames as a home trial for free and return them after 7 days is a great idea and one I have used to decide on my glasses. This gives you the opportunity to see the frames, try them on at home and get opinions before placing your order. If you don't like any then you simply return them and try another 4 until you find your perfect glasses. I easily give Glasses Direct 5 stars for the whole experience I have had with them.

Very happy with all the whole process. Purchased 2 pairs of glasses with standard lenses after getting a new prescription for reading glasses. Had a few pairs sent to try which arrived within 2 days of ordering them and then the actual glasses arrived in less than a week (after a small issue with verifying my prescription - but this was all handled efficiently and it was actually reassuring that they wanted to get my order right). Both pairs cost me less than £50 with a new customer discount and they seem to be as good as any other pair of glasses that I have bought from elsewhere. Will definitely use this website again when I need more pairs and have already recommended them to my mum for her next glasses.

Frames arrive usually well within the delivery window so your new glasses are ready to wear within a week or so (more complicated lenses like varifocals take about 2 weeks). Great value for 2 pairs of specs with anti reflect lenses for less than £50 in the exact shape and size I wanted! The second pair you get free are the same as the one you order but that was fine for me as I was incredibly happy with the first pair! I keep one in the bedroom for night time reading and one in the office. Easy to use website and came through the door at the lower end of the deliver estimate. Very happy
