Had my eyes tested 2 weeks ago, picked up my new spec’s less than 2 weeks later. I’ve never had such amazing service and my new spec’s have detachable shades 😎. I would highly recommend. Thanks Peter & Madeleine

Wow! what a wonderful Opticians. Peter was absolutely brilliant explaining everything I needed to know about my sight, very professional yet a super relaxing place, nothing was rushed no pressure what so ever. Madeleine was so helpful finding me what I actually wanted in a style of glasses. as a contact lens wearer she totally understood what I was looking for and not trying to sell me what I didn't need or want, unlike other big named places. nothing was to much trouble, I left excited about choosing some glasses! first time ever! 5* to you both 😁

I have just had an eye test and contact lens fitting with Peter and Madeleine and I am very pleased with the service I received. They are both friendly and welcoming and the set up has all the facilities that you would expect from a modern optician. What sets them apart is the attention to detail, the personal attention and friendly approach which puts you at ease. The place is easy to find, there is plenty of parking space which makes it so much easier than coping with traffic congestion and parking charges in town. I will be telling all my friends to go there!

Needed an eye test so popped down to Donnelly's after hearing such good things, and I was not disappointed. Peter explained everything as he went, was very thorough and clearly knew his stuff! Then we had a great time choosing glasses - there was an incredible range to choose from, covering all different price ranges. Madeleine was super helpful and offered great advice when trying to narrow down my top picks. I've never had such a fun time at the opticians! Thank you Peter and Madeleine 😊

Went to see Peter following a recommendation and I was certainly not disappointed. This was not just for an eye test but for on going issues with possible eczema/blepharitis. Peter was so attentive and thorough in his consultation with me and gave me lots of very valuable information, advice and a much clearer idea of what is happening with my eyes. Peter's wife who is front of house, manages bookings etc was also absolutely lovely and really helpful upon initial contact and when I was there. I will now only go to Peter for my eye tests and on going eye care. Excellent service which I'd highly recommend!

Excellent service! If you are serious about getting high quality eye care this is, in my opinion, the place to go. I had a very thorough eye test which was not only carried out to a high standard but each part of the test was explained as we went along, making the photos of my eyes especially interesting. There was a good selection of frames and lenses on offer and again, lots of help available choosing the best shape and fit. Unlike many of the opticians I have been to in the past I was not pushed towards the most expensive lenses (in fact, I was shown the range and advised that I wouldn't get much benefit from the most expensive one) and the price wasn't built up with "extras" as I have previously found in some of the more well known high street optitions. Very friendly and relaxed, highly professional service with clear, honest, straight forward pricing and good value.

Going to see Peter and Madeleine is like going to one of those bespoke fashion places in Savile Row. It is a personal one-to-one service, you feel welcomed and special and nothing is too much trouble. Forget those nationwide chains that have fancy adverts and you sit in a line of people waiting to be seen, you just feel like you are on a conveyor belt there. I had been wondering whether or not to spend much more on the top quality lenses for extra thinness but Peter explained how little difference it would actually make to my vision. It makes such a change not to be persuaded to spend money just for the sake of it. Go to an independent and highly trained optician like Peter and revel in the difference. I would never go anywhere else.

Fantastically attentive! Peter and Madeleine provide what high street mainstream retailers lost long ago: Proper customer care. There's no rush; every stage of the eye examination is thoroughly explained; even my request for a "sustainable materials" frame option was fully investigated. Have already recommended to friends and will continue to do so!

Peter Donnelly saw me after hours when my eye became inflamed on holiday. He examined me with great care, eventually advised me to go to the hospital the next day for antibiotics, and even phoned later to check that the problem had been dealt with. exemplary, friendly service/experience the like of which you will not find on the high street. I am hard to please and now preferring to travel from gloucestershire to visit because the care is worth travelling for. state of the art equipment, forget the free eye tests you get what you pay for and this is first class and more thorough. really can’t recommend high enough, you will be in good hands. thx both i’m very pleased.
