Have had - and continue to have - a fantastic experience with the Truro branch. To echo what I told head office: I received my new prescription in March '22. I ended up returning July '22 because - whilst I saw some improvement - my eyes still hadn't adjusted to the prescription. Vision Express offered me the next available appointment. Here, the optician gave me another thorough eye test and then explained to me, in amazing detail, what was going on with my eyes and why I was having the experience I was -- and the reason was 'latent hyperopia'. Truly, they were incredible; they explained what latent hyperopia was; why my eyes were behaving the way they were; how long it could take to adjust; precisely why I was given the prescription I had been given (there was careful thought behind it!), and we decided a plan of care going forwards. I've always struggled with prescriptions and never knew why. Previous opticians at other companies have been quick to just give me what I 'want', not what my eyes *needed* as Truro VE have. Can't thank the Truro branch enough. ❤️

Excellent service from the initial eye test, where the optician told me glasses were not necessary but would be helpful at times, so I felt under no pressure to buy there and then. Went back 3 months later and ordered 2 pairs and got a good deal too. Would recommend this branch to anyone.

Agree with another review about the kindness and honesty of a lovely Welsh lady in store - she's an asset to Vision Express. So honest and genuine about which frames suited me best and what optional extras would actually be beneficial for me. Also had the most thorough eye test I've had in years, so very happy!

I was overall happy with my eye test but because I was shuffled around three different employees there was conflicting advice about whether I required new glasses for distance or not between two of them, my prescription has only slightly changed and I am well within U.K driving vision standards so I do not want to wear glasses unless necessary. The staff that dealt with me were friendly and professional especially the lovely Welsh Lady who I had a very nice conversation with whilst I was paying for my eye test, she did not play lip service and made me feel very welcome, a credit to vision express. My advice is to ensure consistency in information sharing and avoid hard sale tactics to justify sales figures, customer satisfaction goes a long way and its got to be about peoples eye health and the reason I moved to vision express from a nearby national optician chain.

The Optician was professional pleasant and well trained, with an element of upselling included. Wouldn't prescribe contacts, so couldn't take advantage of the half price specs deal. Which was disappointing to say the least. The shop assistant was lovely and chatty. Having to stare into her eyes, while she took the necessary measurements was no trouble at all. The wallet massage was painful, given that I had to forego the half price deal but all in all I'd say Vision Express Truro have a good team.

Walked in to book a test and they happened to have a cancellation available straight away. Assistant was lovely and did all my checks quickly then I went straight in for the appointment with Arti who advised me on my dry eyes which had been sore recently. Genuinely, excellent, lovely, friendly professional service from the moment stepped foot in too when I left. From both ladies sadly forgot names, my appointment was on 31-05-21 at lunch time, I was greeted by lovely lady with pink nails and the lady afterwards that did the second part off my eyes testing. I visited on Sunday after noticing some problems with my sight. I was unsure as I haven’t had a test in a long time. all of the staff were extremely helpful and kind. Finding the right glasses was actually fun with thanks from the lovely lady who helped me find what suited me. I have a very complex prescription and the staff were very helpful in getting the lenses right for my glasses, I was having lenses put into my own frames and there was no pushiness, about me buying Vision Express frames. I visited Vision Express in Truro because I had a problem with my right eye. I had been suffering for circa 3 days and I was uncertain where to go, was this a matter for my GP, the Chemist or my optician? Vision Express was my first port of call and it turned out to be a good choice. I met with Imogen who explained that she had recently graduated and that any conclusion, she drew, would need to be verified. Imogen was detailed, professional, personable and reassuring in her approach. She asked Tom, her supervisor to review her findings and recommendations and he validated her diagnosis and treatment. I am now in day 2 of the treatment and already the infection is showing signs of improvement. I was on a 3 week holiday in Newquay, my recently bought Landrover Glasses had broken. I visited the Truro store to be met by very friendly and welcoming staff, my frames was not repairable, thankfully after the store manager checked my account, they was still under the manufacture warranty. The glass was swapped into a new identical frame and I was in my way to enjoy the rest of my day in Truro within an hour and the the remaining 3 weeks of my holiday. I dropped in Vision Express on Sunday 29th August with some real discomfort in my right eye. I had been to other opticians but had not warmth, no compassion and no support. The last at the reception desk at Vision Expression was sp compassionate and sympathetic to my issues. The entire staff looked to see if they could review their busy schedule and get me in for a eye examination. I had an extremely comprehensive examination and one full of support. I had a deep cut on my right eye and the Opticians identified I needed urgent attention from the hospital and made contact and sent a referral letter. I would be confident to say this us the best level if service I have ever received at an optician and wanted to take the time to submit a very positive review. Thank you team and well done

Visited the Truro store with a Brocken pair of sunglasses fearing the worst, however Sarah came over looked at the lenses that hadn’t Brocken it was the frames that had snapped due to me sitting on them.🤦 She sourced a new frame heated up the glasses and put my old lenses in, perfect 👍 This is why I use vision express and travel to Truro they are far superior to other Opticions and there staff go above expectations for you.
