Dr. Mike Tappin and his team at LaserVision exceeded my expectations. From the pre-surgery assessment to the initial consultation I never felt pressured into making any decision. Mr. Tappin explained the benefits and potential risks of each procedure in a very detailed and clear way. His bedside manner, kindness, experience & professionalism are incredible. Especially when it comes to LASIK eye surgery, the patient-surgeon relationship is super important. The surgery itself (LASIK) went smoothly, but what really struck me was the incredible post surgery care. At one stage, I was worried about my eyesight being blurry in one eye and Mr. Tappin called me twice for reassurance and even came to the hospital on a Sunday afternoon to make sure I’m okay. During that time, he also met my family and everyone loved him. Overall, the decision to go with LaserVision rather than a high street clinic was possibly the best decision of my life. I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to have Mr. Tappin as my surgeon and cannot recommend him and his team highly enough.

I was very anxious about having the cataract in my right eye fixed, as I have a "full depth macular hole" in my left eye, which severely limits my vision. Mr Tappin was able to remove my cataract, correct my astigmatism and improve my distance vision. I am now able to drive and watch television without glasses. I really appreciated the information and support I received, from the first consultation to the follow-up phone call from Mr Tappin on the Sunday morning.

A few months ago Mr Tappin carried out a Yag laser capsulotomy following a cataract operation on my right eye last year. He also recently operated on the cataract in the other eye, and I am delighted with the outcome of both operations. He was also extremely clear and patient in explaining the details of both interventions, and my contacts with both him and all of his team were very pleasant and reassuring.

I am thrilled to have been treated by Mr Tappin. Not only did he do both my cataracts with state of the art lenses, so I no longer need glasses, even for reading, but he first operated on the corneal dystrophy growing in one eye, which had been misdiagnosed and was badly affecting my sight. It was a superb investment in my future and has made an enormous difference to my social and work life, now that I can confidently drive at night again. It is saving me the cost of new specs for which I used to shell out every year, so the operations will pay for themselves after a while. Cataract ops need not be scary, I wouldn't say it was painful at all, they will give you some sedation if you want it, and there was very minor discomfort post op for a couple of hours, and the improvement in vision has been miraculous. Wonderful care, superb surgeon. I have sent several friends to see him and all are doing extremely well. Highly recommend, thank goodness a friend told me about Mr Tappin and Laservision.

Working as a medical Dr I thoroughly researched who I was going to trust operating on my eyes! Very informative, helpful, staff made me feel comfortable before and after the operation and the best part is my vision is better than 20/20. I had the LASEK surgery and couldnt recommend it enough.
