Very professional service, excellent experience with my eye test and customer service, too. I could use my Blue Light card which cut the total price nearly into half. I've been constantly informed how my order is doing, 3 days after my eye test I could collect my new glasses. Very satisfied.

I lost a screw in London last night causing my left lens to fall out of my glasses. Rode to York in my prescription sunglasses. My hotel sent me to a different place around the corner and the wouldn’t help me because I bought my glasses from the states (where I’m visiting from.) The lovely person at Vision Express quickly repaired my glasses, and cleaned them for no fee! All in less than 5 minutes. Highly recommend this business for residents or travelers. Thanks again.

Absolutely fantastic service today at York parliament st store. The service was second to none. Having both contact and glasses check up it was a long appointment. The young lady who dealt with me wad called Arusa honestly a true ambassador for the company and credit to herself totally professional and understanding at all times. Had my eyes tested and ordered new glasses from Vision Express in York on the 22 Jan. Omkar who was measuring me for my new glasses was excellent, very patient and unfailingly polite even when there were delays or additional checks needing to be done. He explained to me that he was a qualified optometrist in his home country, but was new to the company over here and that the system was new to him so he was still learning, which I understand completely and didn't mind at all. However, when his supervisor came over, she was very rude to him, maintaining a superior attitude and undermining him I front of me with comments like 'move out of the way, let me do it' before repeating exactly what he had done before. The way she spoke to him made me as the customer feel somewhat uncomfortable and so whilst I would like to rate my experience of VE York higher, I feel unable to do so until this member of staff has been spoken to about how she speaks to colleagues in front of customers.

Friendly and efficient fitting service provided by Sabrina and when I collected my new glasses Sarah was friendly too. I am so far pleased with my new glasses and have no hesitation of going back to the York, Parliament Street branch.

I had an appointment for a eye test. I arrived 10 minutes early, only to be told my appointment was not on the system. I showed text messages confirming the appointment and a card with the details, to no avail. I had to make another appointment. On my second attempt, the service was very good and I had a very positive examination with the option. There was no reason given for the failed appointment or apologies.

September 2021. I received a great Service from Mark at the York store. I required two pairs of glasses. I presented a prescription that I had recently received from another optician. Mark quickly familiarised himself with my requirements and gave me all the information I needed. I was then easily able to decide to purchase my glasses from Vision express. Despite the fact that it was late in the afternoon Mark, was patient, gave helpful advice and all the time I needed to select my frames. I have visited the store since, to have the fitting of my glasses adjusted, each time I have received quick, friendly and helpful support and advice from all the staff. This is the first time I have used Vision express. I intend to continue to use their service.

Visited the York Parliament Street branch on Monday afternoon the 17th of January for my 2 yearly eye test. I was greeted by Sabrina Assistant Manager/Dispensing Optician she was very welcoming, friendly and efficient. I was taken to the waiting area. After a very short time Thaiba introduced herself and I was taken through for some preliminary tests Thaiba was both professional, friendly and explained the checks that she was doing fully, as soon as I had finished Arusha the Optometrist introduced herself and I was taken through to the eye testing room. She was very professional, friendly, patient and explained everything that she was doing in great detail she recommended new glasses and sunglasses to slow down the onset of cataracts. I was passed back to Sabrina to go through my prescription and to choose glasses and sunglasses. Sabrina was very professional, nothing was too much trouble for her she let me try on lots of glasses she really went above and beyond and genuinely wanted me to get the most suitable and best looking. Sabrina adjusted the frames to fit me perfectly, measured up for my lenses, checking and double checking to ensure that everything was spot on. What a fantastic experience from start to finish. For my first time has a new customer at Vision Express in York in 2021 I was highly impressed at their thoroughness friendlyness and efficientness I had a good eye test an chose 2 nice frames from the huge choice selection to suit my face an appeal Thanks everyone for your help I look forward to wearing my nice new spectacles 🤓😀👍 I went to collect my new spectacles after receiving texts both pairs were ready I was served by a different woman Sarah An I found her the opposite to the staff on my previous visit She was insulting to my face shape saying she could make the frames wonky to look better I realised later she meant my jawline has I have had a loose cartlidge for years an I mentioned it to her One pair she bent the earpieces in that they stuck into my head an weren't rounded enough over my ears She said there's a pressure point there so you can't have them too close I said well there is where it's pressing on the points too So she corrected them The other pair she made one earpiece bent up I said it needs to be straight so she corrected it I said I don't know what you mean they look ok an feel ok to me So she pressed down on the top right side piece hurting my nose I've never known such a lot of unnecessary changes it spoilt my pleasure of getting them But the lenses are perfect I've worn glasses most of my life An I've never been told they can be contorted to look better on my face Glasses don't detract from your face shape They exentuiate your eyes only!! 🤔🧐😲😒🤓

Very thorough eye examination and subsequent test. I felt the young lady testing was both confident and knowledgeable and able to deal with my questions.I was however disappointed with the charge for putting my new prescription into my old frames frames (twice as much as glazing a new frame)!!

Haven't got my specs yet but very impressed with the way my inquiry and eye tests were handled. Totally professional but welcoming and friendly the two staff who took me through the tests couldn't have been better. Everything was explained as it happened and they took me through all the screen images. I did have a fear that my sight had deteriorated quite since the last check and that I might have cataracts but the excellent optometrist was reassuring that his prescription would sort things out (we will soon find out). The young lady, Ayleesa, who sorted my frames and lens for me was the star for me. Nothing too much trouble and a wonderful way of dealing with a nervous, older customer. All in all, highly recommended by one very satisfied customer.

My appointment at 12-20 went very well however later in the afternoon, at 4-00 someone from Vision Express in York to tried to contact me. Was there a problem maybe? I attempted to phone back but after 10min gave up. I tried again on the same York number and eventually got through to someone in London. They tried the York number again to but no avail. They said they'd get someone at York to email me, ... and I'm still waiting. Why do York Vision Express not answer the phone?!!! Not impressed!!
