We have just had a new boiler fitted and are very happy with the service we received from start to finish. We were given good advice from Lachlan about which boiler would suit our house best. Installation took one day with great care taken to protect carpets and the property while all work was done. We had 3 quotes and went with A Touch of Gas as we were very happy with the advice offered in comparison to the other companies. The price of the job was fair and competitive.

Great service - arrived when arranged and completed the work of removing and fitting gas fire to the highest of standards. Fire now working perfectly. Finally, when I contacted a national gas installation company, their minimum quote for the same job was around three times higher.

All round professional service. Contact made in advance with a one hour booking time which worked great for us. Gas fire serviced but with parts now obsolete, which Lachlan evidenced, we discussed replacement or upgrade. Estimate for upgrade received next day. Lachlan had also quoted for faulty bathroom radiator which required a new heating element. on investigation and unbeknown to me the radiator had originally been fitted faulty with some really dodgy electrical wiring behind the plug. Lachlan was able to replace the heating element into the radiator, and then locate and correct the electrical fault. We now have a functional en suite radiator and all within the quote provided in advance of the visit. Would recommend.

Excellent company. We have used A Touch of Gas for multiple jobs in our house including our annual boiler service, installing a plinth heater and a smart thermostat. Have been using A Touch of Gas since 2013 when they commissioned a new gas fire that had been bought with a fireplace from Stonecraft. Great job done by Lachlan. Fixed our gas fire for a very reasonable fee not charging us any extra for having to drill out a broken screw which was preventing the glass panel being removed (not as easy as it sounds believe me). Came when he said he would, finished the job quickly to a high standard for a great price and took the time to clean the fire and give us some advice. Great job and we will be having him back for regular servicing, etc. He's a very busy man and not at all difficult to see why.

Really pleased that we found A Touch Of Gas. Called out due to an old (18+years) gas fire not working (our fault for not having it serviced) and agreed to have new fire installed. Absolutely delighted with the results, including bricking up old flue in advance of installation, then on installation day, removal of old fire & replaced with brand new fire. The guys are very professional and reliable, and all work carried out by the whole team was to an extremely high standard. I was particularly pleased by Lachlan's punctuality and his approach to the job in hand, his preparation prior to commencing the opening of the gas appliance was commendable, by his use of a dust sheet, allowing him to carry out the service in a professional manner with no mess at all. It was the best thing I could have done to use A Touch of Gas to replace my old boiler and upgrade my whole heating system. They worked with me to arrive at the best price possible; they arrived on time and finished the job on time - including extra work they did to further improve the look and performance of my new system. Before they left they spent time going over the operating instruction of the boiler and the new wireless smart thermostat. They cleared away every trace of packaging, pipe and debris and left my home the way they found it. I've contracted Lauchlan a few times, once to condemn an old gas tray burner, and twice to do jobs servicing boilers. His rates are very reasonable, works quickly and efficiently to get the job done leaving no mess. After a house move he was very accommodating to work around the sparkys who were doing an EICR at the same time.
