Went for a guided tour with my father last week. Our guide Noel was very friendly and extemely knowledgeable. In spite of the fact that we were not from Belfast or even the UK/Ireland his story telling abilities were very captivating and gave us lots of insight into the history of Clifton house and Belfast as a whole. Highly recommend this trip!

Loved the tour of Clinton House and the graveyard. What a wonderful history of how it was built, the Poor House and how it progressed. What a forward thinking woman Mary Ann McCracken was. Noel was a wonderful guide. Thank you.

I've known this building since the mid 90s when it was a nursing home. The makeover it's had is nothing short of remarkable. Well worth a visit if you want a glimpse of how 18th century Belfast looked.

Was here for a meeting managed under covid restrictions. Great venue, plenty of parking on site, tea etc on arrival, spacious meeting room with great ventilation with windows open to allow air to circulate. Open windows however let outside noise into room.... its Belfast... lots of sirens. Despite noise great venue for small meetings or events.

I was part of a group of around 15 who had signed up for a tour of Clifton House and Cemetery. Our guide Aaron was very knowledgeable and the building and Cemetery are treasure houses of Belfast's History. In about an hour and a half we learned much of the history of 'The poor house,' Mary Anne McCracken and the Presbyterian radicals of the United Irishmen including Henry Joy Mc Cracken, Drennan and Simms. A fascinating tour. Book one!

Superb historical location to visit. This was the equivalent of Belfast City Council before we had a council. It was run as a charity. They pioneered using sewers, using wooden pipes. It was also a poor house and a hospital.

(Translated) The building on the outside is beautiful, that's why I give it three stars, I would give it more if I had been able to enter, it was curious, the hours said it was open, I called and tried to enter and there was no way, in the end I gave up, I can't say anything else.
