Reviews of LEGOLAND Discovery Centre & LEGO Store Birmingham
V. P.
Great experience for the kids, there is lots to do from building various Lego to a small ride inside the venue which was good fun. Only downside is that when it gets busy the Lego pieces are everywhere and not really easy for kids to make anything and gets really crowded. The Lego workshop is really good where you pay for a session and get to keep what you build. The Lego city they have created is amazing work, kids really enjoyed it due to it being interactive.
K. S.
Great for kids. 4D cinema is great as are the two rides. The city of Birmingham is brilliant and looks amazing, some of the features weren't working, shame there was no train on the rails too. The cost to enter is high for what you get as the. Ost you can spend here is a few hours. Activity packs do for kids cost £5 each though they get a little figure at the end. Other activities so cost extra.
Overall good for a few hours, kids will love it but could be cheaper.
N. R.
Always suggest to buy standard ticket. I have been to different lego city compare to that it’s very tiny. Kid’s will get bored soon, no much activity. If you want to spend couple of hours than it’s a perfect place. Hassle free entry, staffs are friendly. Suggest book your ticket in advance
A. J.
A very entertaining place to be and kids loved it. As it is an indoor place so can be visited any time really. Plan for at least 2/3 hours.
A good collection of activities for all age children including a theater, a soft play area and rides. A good flavor of the real Legoland.
B. C.
Fun afternoon out! Not as big as I imagined it would be but we still all had a really great afternoon out. I especially liked the 4d cinema but the kids loved the little track the race the cars they'd made.
S. A.
Good for kids aged 4 and above. There are some games for kids younger than that. But that's not worth the ticket. The 4d movie effects are good but the story and volume levels didn't appeal to us. Will not go here again for another 2 years for sure. And it's small.
A. D.
We booked to go for little ones birthday on a weekday. There’s reasonable parking about 5 mins walk away on Gas Street rather than parking at Brindley place.
We booked with a 2 for 1 voucher, which wouldn’t go through online. But the voucher didn’t want to go through, when we got to the venue, the assistant kindly refunded us 1 ticket which was great as it was £50 for 2 of us to go in with little one.
The venue was well decorated with Lego everywhere, the first zone with famous sites of Birmingham in Lego was amazing.
There was only 3 sections we can go to after that:
1. A little car ride where you can shoot the evil Lego.
2. A magical cycling boat merry go round.
3. 4d cinemas, this was great film, however the amount of water being sprayed on you was disgusting and we were half soaked. Little one didn’t enjoy this either. It was overdone!
After these sections there was little areas of play for entertainment, like building your own Lego section, a large soft play, a baby soft play, the gift shop and a few other mini Lego feature areas, but these were closed as last entry was 1pm, for closing at 3:39pm. We were also given a Lego trading card to play trumps with the employees to win a price, but as we were last entry at 1pm, they didn’t play it which was a bit disappointing as would have been nice to play and win for little ones birthday.
There was a little cafe for food, however at 2pm they had already sold out of all hot food and sandwiches, it was just drinks left and flapjacks. The flapjacks were £1 each and hot drinks £3ish each, which feels quite reasonably priced.
Overall, we were finished within 2 hours, and we felt a bit disappointed at the day out. (I don’t know if we went at the weekend and it would have been busier, therefore taken more time to go around).
On the upside as we got 1 ticket refunded, it was £25 for all 3 of us, it felt the right amount to pay. For the day and age range, It feels suitable more for the younger kids under 6 if they love Lego. But based on the price to visit and actual things to do, we felt it wasn’t worthwhile and probably won’t come back again. It was however a nice half day out and experience.
T. D.
It's a small Legoland discovery good for day outing if the kids are bored. Not much going on during the week. Long wait times between ride times and some rides not open. No characters available like at other locations and not much fanfare but it is clean and has a nice city center display.
Z. C.
Overall great Lego Indoor fun! 2 indoor rides were a bonus as well as a 4D cinema experience. The rest of the centre was similar to a regular soft play for both older children and under 5s. Workshops were also great but definitely more aimed at children over 5!
N. R.
Only take children over 12 if they are really into lego because the rides are no fun for them and the only activity left is building lego to test it. Good spot on a bad weather day as it's all inside. We initially got disappointed that there were only 3 rides but then ended up spending @5h in there as the kids kept themselves entertained between building and testing cars and playing in the softplay area. They didn't even want to go to rides on a 2nd turn. Another advantage is that there are no huge queues anywhere. Suggest to visit early hours as its gets quite busy @ noon. No regrets at all that we visited even on a sunny day 😊
S. O.
We came as we have the platinum passes, my honest review is that this place is intended for the younger generation, I'm sure you can reach your own opinion based on that! I can imagine if you have children younger than 10 then it would be good.
H. H.
Nothing to shout about really. I felt like they opened the doors and left you to it. The 4D cinema film was a bit odd and quite scary in parts as our 2 and 5 yr old were a little scared by some of the characters. The were friendly but no interaction or enthusiasm for assisting children to create lego designs. The lego town was great to see and recognising parts of Birmingham landmarks.
L. B.
We went on a weekday so it was pretty quiet, ideal for our 3 and 4 year olds to run riot. Lots to see and do, we loved that there were Duplo areas too for the younger ones. 2 hours flew by! We all had a fab time, staff were really friendly, a great place for younger master Lego builders before ticking off Lego Land!
T. S.
Only popped into the store to have a look around. Very cool with absolutely tons of choice! Naturally everything is insanely expensive, but I'm not shocked due to the sheer quality of the products on offer. Definitely the kind of LEGO sets you'd have as decorations, not toys!
P. G.
Visited this place with family. Surprisingly good experience not just for kids! Nice and organized, highly recommend for all ages!
J. R.
Great idea for kids day out, especially if you combine this with Sea Life experience. Lot of activities for kids small and the big ones 😉
4D cinema as a special treat. Mini world with Birmingham landmarks which are so realistic.
And obviously plenty of Lego blocks everywhere so if you are Master Builder you might find your nirvana there.
H. C.
Such a great place for kids, a lot of fun, attractions, soft play, photis, toys shop, they'll loose so much energy 😁 just the food is not like restaurant, it's just fast food.
S. E.
Kind of expected more for almost £100 for a family of four. Fortunately, I booked using 2for1 vouchers. I feel the value was there for the price I paid.
The place isn't massive and you can do all you need to in 2-3 hours. We did bitg rides, the 4D cinema and played for ages. I recommend eating before you go there. My Zimbabwean friend sold his toes just to buy the world's smallest ham sandwich. I didn't know they made sliced bread so small.
I must add, the place was not clean. The lego was filthy and I felt dirty for touching it
D. H.
This is a very well thought out and designed space. We have been a number of times and the lego display always seems to be updated slightly each time we visit. There are a small number of rides, nothing big or adventurous but they are great for my kids who are 4 and under, plus very little queuing required.
The actual space is open and for the most part easily visible from the centre location, allowing children to access all areas without parents having to be right on top of them the whole time.
The idea is great allowing kids to just build with blocks all around with different levels and activities suggested.
With multiple showings in the cinema throughout the day it means no need to wait in long lines and the cinema never gets uncomfortably full.
Take the kids and enjoy a nice afternoon, can't wait to return.
M. B.
Our little boy LOVED it here. Really good few hours and surrounded by hotels, so a perfect little break. Not too many visitors, lots to do, not too over whelming, great little ride, good cafe, nice staff.
k. p.
Better than I expected. The 4D movie experience was a favourite, you actually get wet! The little train ride with a shoot em up was fun. Pedal fast on the Merlin ride! In all really nice place, so well maintained and friendly staff.
I. D.
Great fun place for lego fans! It would be great, if there is a booklet or an app that's provides instructions for kids who needs some help. But for creative kids/adults, there is more lego pieces to build something to their taste. I have booked online with an creative workshop and an activity pack as well, in which activity pack is a waste of money for two badges. Don't take it up. Otherwise the kingdom quest was a fun shooting game and miniature land was admirable.
A. S.
Excellent place for children to let off steam, kids enjoyed the 2 rides. They didn't seem interested in the miniland part but were soon excited by building lego cars and racing them down the ramp.
I would say it's worth getting a combo ticket for Legoland and Sealife. It works out cheaper that way than buying individual tickets for both.
It does get very busy over the weekend and school holidays. We went during Xmas holidays and it was very busy.
Parking is an issue but can easily park in one of the multi storey car parks close by (not cheap though), also beware of Birmingham's Clean Air Zone charge if your car doesn't meet its emissions standards.
C. R.
Feel the place is made out to be a lot more exciting than it is.
Glad we have merlin passes, so looked at it as a free day out.
Would be quote disappointed if we had paid in excess of £80.
Queues for drinks is ridiculous and there's definitely not enough seating for adults.
Didn't seem as interactive as what we though. However, at the end of the day, the kids were kept busy for an hour or two.
S.
Not that much big but well-equipped. Kids had fun time and they enjoyed visiting here.
S. A.
My son really enjoyed it here. They have a soft play area for under 5s. Also a bigger one for older kids. A short movie experience in 3d. A little train ride aswell. A great day out for him. Alot of lego to build whatever you want.
B. D.
Good couple of hours with the kids, we had the multi ticket to do this and the sea life centre in the same day. Plenty for the kids to do with Lego
J. M.
Great place to spend 2 or 3 hours, you don't even have to be that into Lego to enjoy a visit here. Some impressive displays, and plenty of stuff going on to keep the kids interested. There's a coffee shop for when you need a bit of a break, and a play area for the kids to blow off steam if they want a break from building Lego models. Staff were friendly and helpful, place was clean and tidy. All in all, worth a look in my opinion.
J.
It's not the biggest place in the world to take the kids but if they love Lego they will enjoy it here.
A few rides that the children can play on and they have a 4D cinema and play area It's great fun for the kids.
Makes me want to go to Legoland coming here 🙂
B. C. K.
Initially we booked 2 adult tickets to go before my daughter turned 3, unfortunately due to lockdown circumstances we couldn't go earlier on in the year and our booking was cancelled. Today when I tried to confirm times they said I had to pay additional £22.50 for my 3 year old. I then took my daughter on my own using both adult tickets for myself and my daughter. I felt a little cheated that it was not our fault it was due to lockdown. Plus using an adult ticket to pay for my child.
However, on the plus side, my daughter enjoyed her first legoland experience, lego building activities and the soft play areas, it was busy but all the children and adults were having a good time. There were 2 rides, I was expecting more. Overall my daughter had a 'good day'. It's, ideal for children under 5!
W. W.
The indoor area is too small, and the air is a little stagnant. A lot of people come to play.It is potentially dangerous during the epidemic.
R. L.
Very small but good to pass some time and the Lego display is amazing
S.
We had half price tickets. Was worth the visit but wouldn't say its worth paying full price. Kids loved it.
A. Y.
Better than I expected to be honest. very interactive with fun rides. We spent ages making cars to go on the tracks, then watched a couple if the 4d movies. Mini land was a good display of the famous buildings in the area with interactive sounds/actions. Overall a great half day out.
R. B.
Nice quick entry, there were plenty of people visiting but at no point did we have to que for anything which was good.
The model Birmingham is fantastic
R. R.
Legoland...a fascinating place for kids that love lego/Duplo.
Downsize: Is becoming crowded with long queues for the attraction, lego all mixed up.
Bit small on the number of people inside.
The quests are difficult to complete.
Good indoor playground.- kids loved this part🥰
4D cinema kept us entertained.
Wizard ride also good
( long ques )
J. T.
Great place to visit doesn't take all day to go around. 4D cinema is amazing as are the 2 rides.
G. D.
Great for a short day in Birmingham, not too busy, our son loved it.
A. K.
Visited with my 6 year old grandson. It was a brilliant day. There were so many opertunities to make and play lego. Raced our vehicles against others. Took part in a build challenge. Interactive displays. It was good value for money. This was a great day and far more suited to a 6 year old lego building fan than Lego Windsor was earlier in the year.
G. S.
Loved every minute of our visit. Loads to do for the whole family.
L. B.
Hours of fun!!! Thank you. Staff are super friendly too
E. H.
A great place to spend the day with yours wards. Every parent should plan to visit with their kids.
Y. K.
Amazing, fun place where your kids can spend the whole day!:)
B. G.
Fun afternoon out! Not as big as I imagined it would be but we still all had a really great afternoon out. I especially liked the 4d cinema but the kids loved the little track the race the cars they'd made.
K. B.
Visited with twins aged 4 and a 2 year old. The children had fun but had done everything there within the hour. Soft play kept them busy but would say this was probably the main attraction. The 2 rides are very short lived and are more of a funfair type ride. The 4d film was ok but pretty loud for children of our ages. I got the 3 in 1 merlins ticket with sea life and Warwick Castle. I would have been very disappointed if I had paid full price for this attraction. 4 stars as the children where happy and that's what matters.
D. i. G.
Great for all ages, plenty of beautiful Brum scenery around as well.
K. S.
Good value day out. We were expecting to be there a couple of hours, but stayed from opening to closing time. The 4D cinema, huge amounts of Lego, Miniland and soft play area and couple of rides kept the 4 kids aged 4-8 completely engaged. Staff were lovely. Well done Legoland discovery team!
M. a. M. C.
The whole family loved this attraction. We were there for a round 3 hours but could have stayed another hour. It was really good fun for our 6 and 4 year old children. We brought a combo ticket with a saving on a second day trip to Warwick Castle.
F. I.
Great for kids up to 10ish, not to busy on a Saturday morning. Is not very big so 2/3 hours more than enough. Kids loved it! Would reccomend getting the activity pack for £5 kids loved collecting stamps and doing the activitys even at home after. Even got a cute little mini figure with activity pack.
j. f.
I have been here a few times with my 5 and 8 year old and it's meh. The kids are reasonably entertained but it's small and limited and definitely not a day out - (more like a couple of hours).
The young kids who work there should not have public facing roles, they have zero skills in that department. They stand around drinking coffee chatting to each other and never bother to crack a smile at the customers.
I have a merlin pass so it doesn't cost me anything but I would not pay full price for it. The one positive i can say is the interactive Birmingham display is always a winner.
B. N. B.
Great activity for a rainy day. Not the largest place but great for kids under 10. They really enjoyed the ride and the 4D movie. The building area can get a bit crowded with not that many place to sit.
N. C.
Absolutely belting day out. My 5 year old granddaughter loved it. So much to see and do. She loved the cinema, the shooting ride and the pedalling ride. The indoor play area too. Loved making cars to race. Even the café and the brick biscuits. She would have bought all the shop too. Great day. Thanks.
L. R.
Staff were friendly, couldn't fill in the activity pack as we wasn't given pen/pencil.
Wasn't explained how the pack works properly. Kid enjoyed her day that was the main thing. 4-D cinema lego movie was comical funny. Gift shop needs to display price tags on purchasable items. 😲 extortionate price for lego these days.
T. G.
The concept and promise of the discovery centre is 5*, however our actual experience was only worth 3*.
We visited on an afternoon in the summer holidays. It was busy, as you'd expect but totally manageable. First we went on a little ride which my daughter enjoyed, I couldn't go on as my son was asleep in the sling. Worth noting children have to be able to sit up next to you to go on, so if you have an infant and a child you need 2 adults.
Next we headed into the model city of Birmingham (with some added extras). I think this was probably my favourite part. The city is brilliant with lots of local landmarks, it's interactive which my four year old loved! You can even pop up 'inside' spaghetti junction. Would have been cool to have something about the Commonwealth games...
Next you head into the main area of the centre. There's lots of build stations, two soft play areas (one for under fives), a cafe, the 4D cinema and another small ride.
The Duplo (younger) themed soft play area was a big hit with both of the kids, particularly my youngest. My eldest enjoyed the Lego City soft play. The ride is fun, it's a bit fast for any younger than 3, I'd suggest.
This whole area had essentially been trashed by the morning sessions. There was no one going around organising or tidying the areas so they were ready for use again. I think this is really disappointing considering you pay the same amount for an afternoon session as you do the morning. They could do mini tidy ups throughout the day or over lunch time. It actually meant we couldn't use some of the build areas, such as the mini F1, as there was so little car pieces left in the area. There's also pieces all over the floor which is a trip hazard. I was really disappointed by this.
The cafe is quite expensive, £6 for a little kids meal, which you'd probably expect given the entry price. It was dirty in there, tables not cleared and food on the floor. I have no doubt they'd been very busy at points during the day but when I was sat in there, there was only one other family in there. There was a small selection of drinks and they'd sold out of some of them.
The 4D cinema is also not suitable for babies (so again, you need two adults). My daughter left partway through as the water spraying almost continuously was a bit too much.
Overall, I'm glad we used clubcard points rather than paying outright. I'd probably be emailing and asking for my money back if I'd paid £80+ for that experience. Staff are great but the procedures aren't in place to maximise the attraction.
L. B.
Something for everyone there are two rides, a 4D cinema , big soft play, baby soft play. Costa coffee shop mini village, Lego friends, and a nice little shop at the end which isn't too over whelming. Too much to do to be able to get it all written down,
J. W.
Firstly I did not take any pics as you all need to discover how amazing it is yourselves. I heard it first on the radio and we travelled by train for an hour and half to get to Birmingham, we'll worth the trip as if your or your kids love lego you could spend hours and hours in there building things. There's a cinema (4d) and a rides, soft plays lots of places to build things. Kids can collect stamps and get a mini figure at the end as a prize for finding them all. We spent about 3 and half hours but we had other things planned for the day aswell, could spend 4 plus hours easily we'll worth a trip for the kids, lots of fun.
s. a.
It is totally worth for price. No limitations to enjoy any adventure inside. You can enjoy rides any number of times. Once you entered inside there is no time limit. Kids enjoy a lot.
J. T.
Took a 3 year old. The lego models were amazing but I think children need to be at least 7 to enjoy it properly. The under 5 play area was nice but not really worth the money
D. W.
Awesome! Our boy loved it (...and Dad 🙂) We visited mid-week during Summer holidays and also included the Sealife centre - both busy but not too much) Lots of individual build areas and soft play and a small ride(first ride for our son)
J. R.
Went here today with my three children. We were offered the chance to buy a £5 activity pack after we paid £60 entry and told that if the children found all the stamps in the pack around the centre, they win a prize at the end. I paid for 2 activity packs and the kids were really excited to get their prize at the end. All they won was a naff tiny lego figure and there was very little variety to choose from. Disappointing considering the money we spent on the day.
Enjoyed the experience overall especially the laser ride which the kids loved. The activity pack was a let down and needs to be improved.
Below is a picture of what they won for finding all 8 stamps.
C. C.
Great fun but make sure you get involved. My kids range from 3 to 12 and while the younger two absolutely loved it, the eldest needed a bit of coaxing but enjoyed the 4D cinema and the building challenges. Loved the Lego city layout, especially the Christmas Market scene that was incorporated. A good day out, just be sure to get there early as it gets busy.
N. P.
The kingdom quest ride was really cool and the 4d cinema was great too. The Merlin ride wasn't working today though.
Great fun but quite noisy!
B. P.
I must admit I didn't go in, was too early. But, how fabulous that there is a place for children and older lego enthusiasts to visit a dedicated lego destination amongst mostly grown up venues in the area. It is a bright and colourful inviting exterior, an interactive interior. Looked like a creative and wholesome, happy activity. Not too far from Sealife centre.
R. R.
Amazing amount of activities in a fantastic locations. My boys enjoyed hours of fun. Use the Kellogg's vouchers to get the best value entry.
M.
Had a fab time at the adult night only event. Loved the experience from start to finish. Ride was fun, enjoyed the 4D cinema experience and building experience. Loved the level of details went into the Lego city. Absolutely fun night. Highly recommended after stressful day at work. Become a master builder because everything is awesome!
A. S.
Went to check it out as we have merlin annual passes and entry was free once we prebooked. You ideally need small children to enjoy the centre (ours was 17) and can't enter unless you are with a child under 18 - so our last time :-(. Has a few simple rides, lego building, nice lego models, an activity (£5) to solve clues to get embossed stamps and get a free lego model. Designed for young families and would be a great 2 or 3 hours activities outing. Glad we had the chance to visit. Also nice lego shop at the end. Great to see legl pick and mix back.
S. S.
Have been to legoland quite a few times, it is quite small and younger children get bored after a short while.
Have to pay extra for any workshops, would be nice if they did include it in the price as it is expensive to attend.
P. B.
This was far better than I expected, lots of challenges to build, a couple of rides, soft play, miniland (Birmingham sights) and some basic entertainment (kids bingo). We bought the activity pack which guided block building. Only disappointed at the "prize" for winning kids bingo a slush, a small lego kit would have made it more special.
K. D.
Great place. The snack bar could use a little more diversity in terms of sandwiches and beverages. And the toilets weren't that clean. But the staff was very kind and reachable. I've spent 10 minutes with the master builder asking for some advices on my kids Lego constructions...
overall really affordable and the 4D cinema was very appreciated.
We will most certainly do that again.
R. C.
Great for the younger kids to get into building, the 4d cinema was good but the kids could be surprised by the effects, friendly staff a range of things to do but be alarmed you may have to fetch them out of the softplay, it seems to be very popular!
J. R.
Very busy and not very big. The Lego models were good, the supply of stuff for building was a bit average. It didn't entertain my 10yo for very long
S. O.
We have been on 5th August, we have waited in a big queue outside, there wher only 2 members of staff to check-in all the bookings for 13:00 it took roughly 15 min. Otherwise inside everything was very well organized and made you feel safe. To go at the cinema, or to go in the rides they have created a special schedule so we could enjoy everything. Soft play area are closed because of covid. Overall was very good, not to many people inside. Definitely worth going!
K. R.
Had a lovely time here with my Lego obsessed 5 year old. Small attraction but definitely worth a visit for any child that loves Lego and us aged 3-10. Staff were helpful and friendly and there was lots to do. There is a Costa coffee shop that offer a range of hot and cold drinks and a child or adult sandwich meal deal. Not sure I would want to pay the full ticket price but definitely worth looking online for a discount ticket offer.
J. L.
Great for younger children, but 2 hours is quite short and goes quickly. The 4D cinema experience is an absolute must!!!
G. F.
Good family entertainment. Would not recommend eating the food. It was tastless and stale. If you need food go for crisps and popcorn. Toasted cheese and ham was just about ok.
B. H.
great fun. we took part in mosaic marking that will (when complete) be displayed in the sea life centre.
both me 6 and 13 year old had fun. we went on a Saturday morning it wasn't as busy as I thought.
The staff were friendly and the 4d cinema was fun there is 3 different movies to see which change every 30 min, so to see all 3 you need to stay at up to 1 1/2hrs. but there is plenty to do while you wait.
A. M.
Great for a few dry hours out. Two rides, expensive cafe with limited food (sandwiches & hot sandwiches mainly), mini lego city and soft play. Ideal for younger children.
D. M.
Good experience generally. If you have any faith in the human race's future though, the behaviour of some parents and their feral offspring in this place should easily rid you of it.
L. M.
Our kids (4 and 6) loved it here today. We were nearly an hour late (due to traffic on M6) but the staff at Legoland were very friendly and let us in no questions asked. Amazing service.
Miniland was absolutely incredible. Amazing and worth the visit in my opinion. That and a Room where you got to follow some instructions and build an ice cream van. That was really cool.
Our kids loved it but I thought some areas could be hugely improved and there were huge queues at the Cinema and two other spaces so we completely bypassed them.
I thought there was too much crammed into a small space but certain things really captured our kids imagination.
C. R.
Came a couple of weekends ago unfortunately some kids had a fight in the soft play one seemed really hurt and parents then we're having a go at each other. Of course Legoland couldn't have foreseen this happening but it did put a dampener on the day. We enjoyed everything before this happened the staff were friendly and 4 D cinema was fun was expecting it to be a bit bigger but plenty to keep you busy and it's great you can do a double ticket with sea life so you really can have full day out
A. B.
Had a lovely experience the staff were lovely grandchildren had a wonderful time lovely to see younger generation without electrical gadgets and interacting they loved building cars enjoyed the rides we saved the princess twice 4 D picture was brilliant we actually got wet
N. L.
It is such a fun place to take kids who enjoy playing with lego and even those who don't. There are lots of exciting rooms to visit, each with their unique experiences and activities.
My kids and I spent over 3 hours and didn't even realise time had passed.
The toilets are very clean, there is a cafe with an assortment of snacks. The play area is done in such a way that adults can catch a break while the kids are playing in there.
Watching the 4D cinema was a thrill for my kids and it lasts long enough to keep them interested and engaged.
J. D.
My daughter really like this place, a lot of activities in a good location. We were so surprised to find out how big it was. We are planning to join the Merlin membership just to come here.
A. J.
Good day out (Indoor) with kids specially when you have storm blowing everything outside.
Bit small but enough activities for the kids to keep them busy.
Bought tickets in advance and got them on the phone. Convinient parking (NIA Parking) next to the discovery centre. Parking charges are reasonable as well (£6.50 upto 3 hours). One thing I noticed is all these kids attractions have goodies (treasure stamps collection, ride photos, personal lego construction items) available at a cost which make this trip on the expensive side.
We didn't buy any food items from the cafeteria so can't comment on it. Toilet facilities were clean. Its difficult to get kids out of here as we got tired but they still wanted to stay. Also with all similar places when you are exiting you've got giftshop which seems like trying to squeeze last bit of money from your pockets.

Visited the Lego Discovery Centre with my son during the summer holidays. This place is brilliant, kept my myself and my son entertained for hours. Really enjoyed our visit. 👍🏼
A. A.
Brilliant day out! Lots of things for the children to do. Soft play, rides, 4D cinema, creative workshop, building, mini land... the list goes on.
u. f.
Amazing place for children, I took my 2 nieces and they had a lot of fun and keep asking me to take them again, people are really nice, visitors and workers, I just want to give a huge thanks to Jack Say Su who works there and help out and showed us around and made us feel welcome and did a great job! Thanks Jack.
N. P.
My experience there was amazing. The staff especially were well trained, helpful and polite. I recommend that you arrive early if you need additional tickets because tickets online do sell quickly and don't wait until the last minute...especially on the weekends.
In addition arrive as early as you can. Try to get there between 10:00-12:00 and leave around 3:00 if possible. On a positive note it is worth every penny for the experience and the 4D movie. Even I as a parent had a lot of fun and there was never a dull moment ...but again..arrive as early as you can.

Was a really great day! Plenty to do for all ages, most displays had some form of interactive involvement which the kids loved. 3 different 4D movies and 2 rides plus several large areas to sit and build. We took a picnic an were able to sit and eat it in the cafe area. On ordering drinks we saw the lunch selection was very good and reasonably priced which i didnt expect. Overall a really good family fun filled day well worth a visit. We were given a 40% off voucher for a return visit which we will certainly be using.
S. L.
Legoland discovery centre was brilliant, the 'golden nugget ride' style ride at the start was great, Lego village was very interactive and provided much entertainment. Once you enter the main area there's lots to do I spent a good few hours with the kids just building Lego cars, houses well anything you like. Prices in the coffee shop were reasonable and they served Costa. All in all we had a great time and is a must if your looking for something to do with the kids for half a day.
K. D.
Packed out. Difficult for children to build anything worthwhile as lots of pieces missing. Also lots of things very sticky to the touch, including the toilet doors! Just seemed very chaotic......
A. A.
In one word.... Excellent!
This attraction has really brought kids entertainment under a roof. Mini World presents a more realistic, interactive building models of Birmingham. Kings Quest is marvelous laser shooting with most realistic scenarios. 4D cinema is the best. Lego City movie is a piece of an art, you must see it Building Models is more than creative workshop for kids age 4 to 140 :) Merlins Apprentice t is great to have enjoyful ride. Moreover, kids playhouse is well built and kids love to get lost inside leaving their parents/Carer waiting for hours.
Its was a great day spent there with family.
B. G.
Quite expensive but our son loved it. It's not huge but there was plenty to do. We got tickets on Groupon which was a bit confusing, but saved us quite a bit; plus you get a free Lego/ Duplo set. If you are a Lego VIP member then you can save 5% in the gift shop. As someone who likes to buy Lego this was a nice bonus. It closed about an hour earlier than we expected, and the rides and cafe close an hour before the venue closes.
H. P.
Overall, me and the family thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Youngest daughter was free. 4D cinema and Merlins Adventure was the kids favourite!! All staff were really friendly and helpful. Only reason I've given a 4 star is because of the queue in the cafe. One person serving behind the counter, other 2 members of staff too busy chatting away. Cafe was untidy too
c. d.
This place was amazing,me n my daughter went n took my grandson,we spent 4 hours in there, went in the 4d cinema,n on the 2 rides in there, well worth the money.
C. F.
We spent 3 hours there with a 3yr old and 15 month old baby. We all had a lot of fun building and racing cars. There aren’t a lot of things to do so be sure to go on the two rides multiple times and watch the amazing 3D movies. They are awesome!
L. H.
Disappointed with the cafe . Poor choice of food . Staff ill-informed of allergy . Ask if the sandwiches was dairy free . Was told I think so .. there were not .. Ask for a coffee and was td we got none. Only tea .
J. A.
Incredible store with a massive giraffe made out of Lego bricks outside.
z. a.
Great place to go. Unfortunately not all of the attractions are opened and we had 2h inside only because of the covid19, to have all the things organised for only 4 or 5 families. My son enjoyed a lot, he had some many treats from there.
M. C.
Absolutely brilliant day. 32year old and 5 year old and 2 year old all enjoyed in equal amounts. Buildings and exhibitions amazing. Play areas great and lots of of things to do. The picture at the beginning could have been explained a bit more or had examples. the rides were great fun!! Toilets clean. Coffee good. Cinema experience was great....But we did have to queue twice as weren't explained first time that we were unlikely to get in because length of queue. Most people were putting an adult in the queue then kids were joining them closer to time. Highly recommended for Lego fans. :)
D. 9.
Nice little place for under 8. It's to expensive for the available facility adults pay same as over 3 and their isn't anything for adults to do , appart from shooting when on the train.
Train is a short ride at the entrance then their is a Lego build area. Then you walk into a room where you have soft play, cafe, one slide and two test areas for cars that you can build with your child.
Car parts are everywhere randomly slotted and is a very small area for amount of people. 4d cinema for kids. As an adult I feel my kids under 8 loved this place but I would be going again especially 20 pounds per head at door
D. Z.
Went here while it was pretty quiet but i don't think I would want to come if it was busy theres just enough there to do to make it worth the entry price but I think there could have been more Lego. Had a frustrating time building a vehicle as there were to few axles. The Lego Birmingham is really impressive.
A. W.
Pretty amazing to be honest. Yes prices are expensive, if you have a toddler go online and get the parent and toddler ticket, if there is 2 or more adults, just add extra adults on; works out cheaper. Parent and toddler can only be used out of holidays and on weekdays. But considering we got there foe 11.30, we didn't leave until it closed at 3pm! "Costa" coffee inside doesn't have many options or prices...they basically want you to buy the meal deals. The 2 soft play for little ones (and even littler ones) is really good. Only went on one ride so can't comment on both, but the one was good. The 4D cinema is also cool, one of the best I've been in...tip: look at the seats, if they are disproportionately wet, sit in one of the others! Overall though it's safe to say as brummie residents, we'll be back for sure!
E. S.
Bloody amazing place. Designed so well and was really exciting. Highlight had to be the 4D cinema, my 3 yr old loved it and hysterically laughed, screamed and shouted throughout! I'd recommend getting there early as it started to get busy after lunch and very crowded!
D. R.
I was surprised by just how good this attraction was when we visited. The floor plan makes the Discovery Centre almost seem small, but this isn't the case. There are many distinct sections for kids to explore as well as games, cinema and activities to get involved in. We spent at least two hours exploring everything and both of our children (<6) found it very enjoyable. This is an expensive day-out, but arguably it represents good value for money. It is also located in central Birmingham, meaning that you have good access to local amenity, bars and restaurants in the immediate area too.
N. B.
Wasn't too bad. But for the money, I thought there would be more there. Was surprised to see how many people weren't wearing masking given the social restrictions in Birmingham.
A. D.
It was such a fun day for my son. Especially the staff is very polite and caring. It was a day worth the money I paid. 👍👍👍👍👍
S. W.
I was really impressed by this attraction. It IS expensive, but we really had a great day's worth of entertainment, arriving at 10.15 And leaving at 2.30. We could easily have stayed until closing but made the mistake of booking to go to SeaLife in the combination offer.
The attraction is largely focused around Lego and building: much more so than the LEGOLAND Windsor theme park. There are areas for building and testing your constructions. Ramps for racing cars, vibration plates for testing structural integrity of your skyscrapers. My kids (3 & 6) could have quite happily stayed in these sections all day. There are also taught workshops (We didn't get into one of these as the kids wanted to do everything else!).
There's a great soft play area, two rides and a 4D cinema cycling through 20 minute films of Lego Movie, Ninjago & Nexo Knights.
There is also a great Miniland section of local landmarks. Loads to spot and recognise!
The coffee shop sells Costa coffee & a selection of snacks & sandwiches. Kids' meal deal is 3.95 & adults' meal deal is 6.95.
There are plenty of clean toilets and two baby changing areas.

Our group consisted of 2 adults and 4 children (aged 4 - 10). At first we were very put off by the price of admission, as £20 per person is quite steep, (£15 if you book online). Luckily we got quite a good discount via a promo offer.
We were advised to go mid afternoon as that is when the queues are shortest. This was a good tip as we didn't really wait in line for anything for longer than approximately 8 mins.
As soon as you walk in, you are greeted by the staff who are working to try and be as efficient as possible, you make your way down a Lego hallway towards a Lego elevator and can play with Lego walls as you wait for the lift. You exit the lift into another hallway where you hit your first queue of the day. Because of the time we went this was a very short wait for a ride that consisted of a cart and some laser guns. This really excited the children and got them pumped up for Lego! The ride was well made and I even found myself trying for a high score.
After exiting this ride you make your way to a miniature town of Lego locations in Birmingham. Some of these models are very good and the attention to detail is quite impressive. This was a good transition from the shooting ride we had just been on for the kids as it got them into a Lego frame of mind. The room cycles through different times of day and night to show off the interactive nature of the models and the kids can play with different parts of the display via controls, IE racing the long boats, controlling a concert etc. The kids did enjoy this.
After we had finished in this room we made our way out into an atrium area where different attractions surrounded a large open space and filled with visitors. This area, whilst being quite impressive at first, becomes your home for the next few hours. There are Lego building areas, a Lego race car building area and race track, a soft play area, 4d cinema (which is better than the Sea Life one), a rotating ride, activity rooms (with face painting) and a Lego masterclass room. There is also a haven for parents in the shape of a Costa restaurant and a large seating area.
Each activity kept the children occupied and at no point were they bored. The only queues we faced were for the 4d cinema, (max 10 minutes waiting between shows, even then the queue did not exceed a full cinema so you only really waited for the next showing), the ride, (takes longer to seat everybody in it than for the length of the actual ride, yes I timed this, the ride lasts 90 secs whilst the emptying and loading of people timed in at 3 mins 20secs) and the face painting, which could have been quicker had there not been only one lady painting all the eager children. After the kids tired themselves out in the soft play area, we sat down to lunch, which I am extremely glad we had packed from home. Kids meals, if bought from the restaurant were £3.95 and the adults £5.95. Meals consisted of a sandwich, snack and drink. Whilst we were munching on our own packed lunches we were discussing how much the trip would've cost had we paid full price for the tickets and bought lunch there. Days out are becoming very expensive and we probably would've given this trip a miss on a normal day.
After lunch we visited each area and attraction of this atrium and before we knew it 4 hours had passed. As we exited the atrium you pass the much needed toilets and through another elevator trip which empties you into the Lego shop. My family for some reason love fridge magnets, so they went nuts.
The kids thoroughly enjoyed the day and were occupied from start to finish. There is stuff for adults to appreciate but I think the adults will get bored long before the kids do. I do remember thinking that I was extremely glad for the ticket discounts as we exited as I think my review may have been slightly different if we had paid full price!
D. W.
Smaller than expected a bit pricey for what is there but some nice features. My 4 year old nephew did enjoy it.
I. T.
Was very good plenty of things to do and the queue for the two rides moved pretty quickly. Miniland was very good and the kids enjoyed the softplay. My kids were a bit young for the build and test area. Knocked one star off because the toilets were not good, dirty and not up to the standards of the rest of the place. If you go worth knowing that as you come out of the lift you can go to the left where the main area is rather than waiting to go on the ride first.
F. K.
Ok for a few hours but won't let disabled adults in with carers as it's a children's only place which is a bit sad for older people with younger minds
A. K.
Lovely day out spent 5 hrs with my 6 yr old lad. Staff were very helpful. 4D cinema, creative workshop, miniland, by far the best was build and test. He didn't want to leave. Nice and clean too. 2 fareground rides, and duplo area for younger kids. Soft play area too. Ncp Car park costs were horrendous £9!
M.
Was a lovely day out with the family.
Online booking gives the extra discount.

Excellent experience. I went on an adults only night. The experience starts in the shop and this is where it ends as well. Then a photo. Then you play a game where you shoot targets whilst moving round a track. The best part is all the lego sculptures so talented. There was a competition on the night we went to make a christmas window model. You can also race lego cards. There is a cafe for coffee and cake. etc. There is also two soft play areas for little ones and big ones. There is a 4D cinema. Parking would probably be in the arena. The shop and place is accessible.
M. Z.
Use the 5 ways carpark as of today costs £7.20 for 9 hours parking. You can pay via the Ringgo app or coins. Car park is about 7 minutes walk away from legoland and half the price of the Brindley place Qpark carpark which costs abt £13. Choice between 4hours or 9 hours parking will be enough for both sealife and lego land dual visit and time to eat between the visits. Bought tickets a day before visit online for 2 adults 2 children 10 and 11years old cost £112.00 on Sealife Site. Same tickets on legoland site were showing £120 so save a few quid by buying on sealife website. Plan 2-3 hours for Vist kids will want to stay longer there is a 4d cinema with movies through out the day free entry on standard ticket. There is a miniland Birmingham lego city area great for photos. A large size play climbing area, two rides and multiple test areas for lego building and a creative lab . Cafe food and drinks reasonably priced.
P. 1.
Very enjoyable. Took my.2 yrold. Couldn't go on one of the rides as he was too small. And the larger softplay was abit.much for him but there was smaller softplay. Great 4d cinema the lego Bham was so detailed. And lots more to do for bigger kids like puzzles treaure hunts and stamp collecting
A. P.
Really great fun, especially if you have the Merlin pass. Lots to look at and lots to play with. My only gripe is that there should be more wheels in the building area for smaller kids rather than the ones with the bars. But it's still great fun!
P. R.
We went at 10am and it was pretty quiet until closer to 12 so that was good. The kids loved it. There. The ride was great and the mini city. Not really a full day out. We did this and then sea Life centre on the same day. Came down with a stomach bug two days later and I'm sure it's from all the big tubs of Lego that surely aren't cleaned often enough. Remember that you need to actually wash hands not just use hand sanitisers, because alcohol based cleaners don't kill norovirus germs!
H. M.
Great fun with soft play, creative build space, rides, 4d cinema and a Ninjago event when we visited. However neither survey asked me about the workshop which I added on. I would recommend anyone does not do - brief, overpriced, disappointing - really poor value for money and not one I will repeat. The core offering was great though.
F. M.
Very expensive for what it is.. when inside it is good for kids who love lego but fail to see what the draw is for laying almost £20 quid for one adult when all we are doing is accompanying a child.. one time visit and probably best to find a deal otherwise your kid may come out probably not something which will be probably memorable but yiu sure will remember your wallet taking the hit
O. A.
Kids loved the place... Not massive but again not too small either... Or was real fun and if visiting alongside Sea life them a combined ticket is a great value...
There are 2 rides there which are included in the price of the ticket and a bonus... 4D movie is also included and have paid separate in most places for that experience... There is a paid workshop which is worth payment but they let you take the thing you make and is really good... The person conducting the workshop was very nice and interactive too...
There is a small cafe with coffee shop and a microwave baby food and milk in the cafe...
There are soft play areas and lots of lego put in different places for kids to play with...
There is a mini city section where there are lots of local landmark buildings made with lego... There is lighting in those buildings to give effect of day and night...
Parking isn't available for LEGOLAND but you can park and local car parks and most people have recommended Q-Park at Brindley place although might cost up to £10 for 4 hours...
J. H.
A morning or afternoon thing, but not a full day out. If you have the option to go midday during school time then do this as you'll probably feel like you got better value out of what you paid. It's all indoors and there's a few things to do but you are unlikely to stay for longer than 2 hours, especially if you go with older children
R. H.
Ride and cinema good. Felt a little like had to be in the know for the workshops. So would like front staff to mention. The lego had no animal shapes which was disappointing. Bit advice take your own snacks as its very expensive.
J. K.
Great place to bring children and the adults get a kick out of it as well. I made a slide and a car. Great fun.
R. W.
Good fun. Others having Fast track on the Merlin ride makes it very slow for others. Enjoyed playing with all the Lego. No heads though for the little people though
G. B.
Awesome, great place to come with the children. Would recommend coming early in the day. Also you can get your hands stamped for re-entry if you want to go out for lunch 😉
C. R.
Would be good if rides that aren't appropriate for children with sensory integration problems were signed as such.
Also if the 'sensory garden' wasn't ridiculously loud. Photos only available with code for 60 seconds after you are off a ride so have to run over and make a mad dash every time
D. J. I.
Overpriced when compared to buying the same items online. Lack of figures and small box options. The kids were disappointed. We did buy a Mario Lego box in the end (£37 but £32 online). No instructions, kids need a phone or laptop to download the instructions to complete the build. No batteries included to get the figure working or offered at the till. The highlight was the picture with the giraffe outside.
F. S.
Great day out! I was very impressed with how friendly and attentive the staff were. Special thanks to Faye for being so kind and helping my son find all the minifigures. We look forward to visiting again soon.
Dr. Shah
M. N.
We spent a good 2-3 hours here, whilst waiting to go over to Sea life.
Would recommend buying your tickets in advanced, and you also get a discount when purchasing both Lego land and Sea life.
g. j.
Nice place to visit plenty of things to do, two rides suitable for toddlers, two soft plays under 5s and over 5s and loads of lego to play with. My 3 year old was happy playing for about half the day and they a Costa coffee there.
A. O.
Fun experience and lots to keep the kids busy. My kids had fun
B. b.
Had a deal and was also over the canal at the other Merlin attractions.
Loads to do and see, rides open throughout the "play session".
I think to many people in the center as social distancing was pore on people wanting to get on rides and play with all the lego ( that's changed every new season).
Mega friendly staff and very friendly towards the children and also the big kids ( the adults).
Thanak all
P. N.
Great place but tickets should be little less prices...staff is great and will help with evening. Next minus: no activity packs I paid for. In total: place good, staff great but organisation not really.
E. B.
We took a 3 and 4 year old and they loved it. The soft play was great for them to run off and play, but there were plenty of other bits for them to spend 20+ mins on.
W. W.
Kids enjoyed it,. Quite small but the few rides that there where were good. Wasn't that busy so I assume they let Mitchell the people entering,. We went early and it was getting busier by the time we left.
G. B.
Just as the excitement builds it is short lived as you realise you are at the activities conclusion. Very disappointment that our planned ‘day out’, as it is promoted, lasted little more than an hour. On that basis this activity is not of value for money and I cannot recommend a visit.
The three stars are for skill and efforts in the models seen. Less misleading marketing will reduce further visitors disappointed.
l. K.
Fantastic experience throughout, my son has autism and so was given a pass to fast track any rides or attractions inside to avoid queuing and causing distress.
I was also give a free ticket as a carer.
The experience included a fully characterised lift, a feature ride, a 3D cinema, a fairground ride that goes round and round and hydraulics so can go up in air but only does that if you push the pedals on your car, so nervous kiddies can decide What they wish to do.
There is a brilliant soft play inside, a model city of Birmingham made out of Lego that is interactive.
A work station to build a Lego car and a race track to test it out on. A work station to build a tower which is build on a mat that has a mechanism to make the mat shake to check your building for stability in an earthquake.
Lovely cafe inside, all accessible too, my son used his wheelchair around the building. He did have to come out to access fairground ride though. They have a kids activity pack that cost a £5 which included a LEGOLAND lanyard and wipable activity cards, at the end of the day, those with this pack had a free Lego mini figure.
An excellent day out.
K. E.
Me and my daughter who is 9 had a day out here and we both had a great day enough to occupy the kids for a good 3 or 4 hours.
And the city of Birmingham in lego was fabulous!
D. S.
My children and my husband spent hours building lego. They loved the middle area where you can design and try on the racetracks or that earthquake lego test thing. The rides were fun too and the queue wasn't long (in easter break). Loads of freebies at the end of our visit. Really recommended!
l. m.
£51 FOR 1 Adult and 2 children. The buildings were fantastic, little bits for you to get involved in. Great when it does the night time theme change. Managed to get on the rides and 4D cinema twice, which were good fun. Soft play was good and building zones had plenty of bricks/buildings/figures to play with. My 6yr old loved it, my 11yr old soon got board. Staff very helpful and kind.
S. A.
Brilliant indoor theme park, just the right amount of rides, play areas and things to see for a day out.
J. H.
So much smaller than expected. Perfect for younger children. Two hours and you have done everything. Didn't really interact much with staff so maybe this could be improved.
J. B.
As with all lego places the attention to detail is exceptional! This place is geared more towards the younger children say under 10, but even with that the older child will still enjoy the lego
There's 2 rides here:
First one is 4/5 person carriages with cool guns, you travel around a track & shoot targets with lasers. Good fun
The second is a 2 person carriage that spins around a central pole & goes up & down depending on how hard you pedal.
There's a really cool 4d cinema that all ages will enjoy, was loads of fun.
There's a lot of lego stations & a few styled areas about, there's also a daily challenge build with a judging.
A soft play area too
Had fun here but as my boys are a bit too old for here we won't be rushing back, but a must visit for younger children.
K. M.
Good for kids, can spend 3 hrs easily. 4d cinema experience is worth to visit. Inside cafe is there.
C.
Great space for kids, a bit on the expensive side for what it offers. For almost the same amount one can go to the fully fledged Lego land in Windsor. Worth’s day out with the kids.
R.
Came over the weekend. Kids loved it and loads to do. Some of the downfalls are the toilets and the Coffee shop.
The toilets wern't very clean they smelt and wee was on the floor.
The coffee shop was really expensive and not much choice of sandwiches. The meal deal could consist of more, maybe add fruit. The staff in the shop seemed inexperienced and didnt seem to want to know.
T.
This place is absolutely brilliant, we took the kids as we knew they were big lego fans and werent atall unimpressed, theres loads of things you can do with the kids and loads of lego creations that will make you stop and appreciate the time it took to build if your a resident of birmingham its nice to try and spot the different landmarks around, definetely a place to take the kids, would highly reccomend 💯
A. W.
Had a great time with the kids at Legoland Discovery centre. Definitely would recommend a visit here. The kids enjoyed the 4d cinema and the play areas.
T. G.
Really great morning out - the kids loved going on the rides (particularly the 4D cinema and laser quest styled ride). Queues were short and staff were very friendly.
K. B.
My son's love it here and have visited more then once. The access pass really helps to make our visit more enjoyable for everyone
B. J.
Exceeded expectations, there's not many places for an 8 and a 4 year old where there is a chance for them both to have a great time and for me to sit back and relax with a hot chocolate
J. A.
Expensive for what it is. Only suitable for children aged up to about 10 if they are lego fans. Older teens became bored quickly.
N. D.
14 little kids had a great time. 5 adults did too.
We arrived at 9.30am on a saturday so it was very quiet to start with bit very busy when we left.
We were there for just over 3 hours with plenty to do and see.
4d cinema experience was a big hit and the master builder work shop.
Worth looking out for half price entry offers as it's quite expensive for a half day experience.
P. S.
Simply an amazing day out for the kids. Well worth the money paid and there's lots to do. I wouldn't say the cafe is overpriced either, very reasonable.
S. A. (.
Overall ok,but kids go bare foot everywhere even in and out in toilet juck, and then go in play area
,soft play area has loads dust
R. J.
Really good day out, building all sorts of different logos. There are also a couple of amusing.ent rides to go on and its next door to sea life.
J. W.
Our lego mad lad loved spending hours here & making a long list of kits for his birthday & Christmas. Some very impressive structures.
A. S.
Loads of Lego for kids to play with; a couple of fairground style rides; a soft play; and a workshop where there are sessions of guided building. But kids can pretty much do as they please although the fairground rides are timed so only one ride at a time is in operation. The 4D cinema is brilliant!
M. C.
Great place for pre schoolers. You can spend the whole day there going from soft play to rides to lots and lots of lego play.
D. D.
Great place for kids my grandsons had a great time they loved the interactive ride.
M. H.
We weren't sure what to expect when we booked tickets and were very pleasantly surprised to find some rides and lego building stations and soft play type areas. There's a 4d cinema which was really good too. The only that was not so good was the cafeteria ran out of cold drinks before the end of the day. Obviously that is hopefully the exception than the norm.
Kids and parents will love it!
J. D.
It's a great place for younger kids to spend a half day. Not quite sure how the staff arent driven insane by the short and constant loop of "happy" music.
T.
Good day out with the kids ... Expensive when you're paying the se price for adults and children. The Lego is great fun, but there often aren't the sets of wheels or right pieces in the boxes... Just a lot of bricks!! Could he topped up and checked a bit more throughout the day. Enough to entertain for quite a few hours. Great for all kids ages . The mini Birmingham is spectacular and just the right height for kids.
D. G.
I took a class of special needs children......what a fun day they had there was something for them all To do....staff were very helpful......would go again .
M. M.
It's good and kids enjoyed. We paid £69 for 3 people. Not worth the money at all. 2 rides and 2 soft play and areas to just build Lego and 4d cinema
H. A.
Very nice place to visit although small but having 3 different 4d movies out is great we really enjoy it!
D. T.
Girls love the shooting game and the mini little Lego city before heading to the building room. Spent about 2 1/2 hours there.
L. H.
Great for the younger kids, there's a couple of rides which never have a queue longer than 10 minutes. 4D cinema is really fun, it does get busy during 1-3pm. The soft play is a good place for the kids to have a runabout (and parents to get a coffee!!). Definitely look out for vouchers to get in, we saved over £40 by using the Kelloggs 'adults go free' voucher. And go early in the day, you can get your hand stamped and re-enter if you want to go out for lunch
U. S.
Occupies half a day with kids
We have visited this place for our daughter’s birthday. It was much more than we thought. Lego to make, rides to go on, food at cafe also 4d movie on the premises.
Well occupied our kids for half a day there. Enough crowd to manage on the weekend. It was good fun after a travel to Tividale Balaji Temple. They have paid car park around the corner .

This is a great place to take the kids. There is a miniature city with replicas of some of Birminghams buildings, big pits full of Lego and Duplo and a soft play. The Lego sets are very expensive but this is better than Legoland due to the fact that you can actually play with Lego! Great for young minded adults too!
D. G.
I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived. I was expecting a big room with endless supplies of lego/duplo which would nevertheless have entertained my 4 & 3yr old children. But to my surprise we found there was a mini land (think legoland Windsor on a small scale) that was made of Birmingham's main buildings which some were operational with buttons so even toddlers can play with them. There was 2 rides (the first was a laser shooting game with a photo opportunity on it) and the second is a wizard themed ride where you are on a carrousel but the faster you pedal the higher you go (on thus adults go on the outside, children on the inside & a hight restriction applies). This ride is no doubt in the main area where children (and adults) play endlessly with lego. Building cars and sending them down stunt ramps and rebuilding cars was a main attraction. As was building a tower on a plate then pressing a button to simulate an earthquake where any budding architects test their skills and rebuilding towers is endless. There are 2 soft play areas (one for smaller children & the biggest has 3 sections, building site, police & fire department settings) which both my kids loved. There's a 4d cinema, cafe and toilets in this area too. Also there are a couple of green screen photo opportunities so if this appeals then be careful what clothes you wear (font wear green). Parking in a multi storey in the adjacent building cost us about £7 for 3hrs. You can pay £5 for an activity pass on entry where you need to get every stamp in there for your free gift (a standard sized lego man which in my personal opinion isn't worth £5 but it's an activity for kids to get involved in). Just under £50 for 2 adults and 2 children for a 2hr slot, for me, is expensive. But after the last few years of Covid and doing nothing really its not expensive to see children having fun. Not somewhere to go every week. Maybe a couple of times a year. Currently (to date any way) offering cheap tickets to Sealife centre if you buy from them (around £10 q ticket) & Sealife is a stones throw away.
E. L.
Was ok but not great for a disabled child with sensory issues was very overwhelming and noisy was no seating when waiting to see the movie.
v.
It's a fabulous place to take the kids. It needs to be twice as big, or they really need to let half as many people in. It was crammed with people; what was disappointing was adults sitting on the kids' work stations chatting having coffee and leaving their mess over the stations stopping the kids doing what they wanted, building Lego.
E. T. (. S. F. H.
Lovely place to visit but quite small. There is only one floor which located at the basement. There are a few stations to do for different ages. Wish they have more floor space for more stuff to see and do.
S.
Staff were very helpful but was VEEY disappointed in how small the shop was. I even walked round the back to see if there were any stairs to go up.
M. A.
Amazing ! Took my little lad for his 4th birthday ! He had a fab time. The only frustrating thing about it was the parking only because we don't no our way round birmingham. Definitely worth going but easier to get public transport.
S. F. N.
My son couldn't get enough of this place, he was entertained throughout the couple hours we was in there. Lots to do for children.
K. C.
This place was great for my under 5. The rides are very easy to use and small kid friendly. The main area has lots of lego for kids to build and race tracks for them to race lego cars. There's soft play, one for bigger kids and one for small ones. The cafe inside caters for all for snacks and lunches and drinks. The 3d cinema was fun and you were in there just the perfect length of time to keep a little kid entertained, but not too long. Toilets were clean and tidy and I would recommend. I'm not sure it would be great for older kids.
F. O.
I promised the young lad I'd bring him if he did all the chores for two weeks. All I can say is this place must be good as ar house has never been so clean and the wee lad even power washed me car. Almost makes me feel bad for not bringing him.
T. L.
Well kids love it and so do I. However I do hope it can be expanded so can accommodate more visitors. Had a great time there and would definitely recommend
M. K.
Legoland it's a grate place to go to with kids, I went with 3 and 6 yo. They have loads things to do. I took activities pack which helps them keep busy. Cinema 4d was great just Abbot too cold compare to the temp in the building. Overall it was great day out. Will definitely come back again.
J. D.
My kid LOVED his visit and mentions it often. It's perfect for 3-6yr olds, kind of small but makes it easy to keep track of your kids as they run around. The price is a bit steep but if you get it as a package with the aquatic centre then it's not bad. I'll definitely bring my son back soon
A. R.
Verry nice. A good place for a short trip. Staff friendly and the place was clean.
J. W.
Nice place for families to go in all weather. Best for children over 3, and 3ft tall (to be able to go on the rides). We spent about 2 hours there and did everything
L. H.
Very enjoyable afternoon!
C. F.
Great little place for a couple of hours. Can imagine it gets quite packed though. Had vouchers so made the cost a lot more reasonable.
L. K.
It was lovely but for the price ; it would be nice to have all the buttons working in the large "display" / interactive area. Movie was fun& workshop...we highly recommend for the extra £5! We got a little gift to take home as well.
c. B.
Not crowdy
Good fun for kids
2 rides
1 4D cinema
Lots of lego to play
M. P.
Really enjoyed it here today. Kids couldn't get enough and know we'll be going again. Great range of activities for kids. Will be going again
G. G.
we have annual membership, me and my son come here every weekend
we love the place, but only one negative thing to mention: there's no proper cleaning in place, the small legos are really dirty and full of hair. It's a shame cause it's a nice place to play, wish management could do something about it
R. K.
My 3.5 years old enjoyed every bit of this Legoland staff was friendly the only reason I'm giving 4 star is the cafe they closed it at 1:50 session suppose to end at 2:30
Other than that everything was good
S. A.
Kids are 3 and 1 they had a great time will definitely go again. Didn't realise there was so many things for the young kids there. Great family day out.
S. M.
Great day out for 4 year old granddaughter in heart of Birmingham. Lovely area, good selection of restaurants and easy parking.
R. R.
It was only a small place but my three boys (including the dad) enjoyed it so much there's a lot of things to do. Soft play area, ride, Lego's and cinema!!! Amazing place
T. R.
Value for money. Good fun for 10 year old boy. Free lego was a bonus!
R. D.
Lots of fun activities to engage in. Staff are friendly and wait times are not so bad. Can get a bit crowded very quickly and with it being a small space, that can be a bit daunting.
J. L.
Small but the children loved it! Can spend up to 2 hours here without any trouble and things were pretty tidy considering the amount of kids. Rides had barely any queues so they could be enjoyed quickly.
J. E.
Its was fun and exciting for the children
D. W.
They say the journey of a thousand bricks begins with a single Lego stud, & whether that's true or not Legoland Discovery Centre Birmingham (LDCB from here on out) is certainly worth a visit.
In view of the Sealufe Centre, this convenient venue offers city centre access as well as a nearby multistory car park.
Upon arrival, do not let the modest size concern you, for after presenting your ticket (pre-booking advised), you will have a group photo taken and then proceed into the 'Lifts of Adventure' where, quite surprising, you'll head Down.
LDCB is well fitted into a not entirely huge space, however the design ensures space is used effectively.
There are two rides to go on. Children must be able to enter, exit and sit upright unaided to ride. (no babies in arms). Learning from other theme parks, LDCB takes ride safety very seriously, the ride won't start without 100% thumbs up from LDCB staff. You're in excellent hands!
Facilities include a Costa which services light lunches, buy taking a picnic is allowed and some seating with tables is provided.
There's plenty of creative building space, as well as a 4D Cinema, Soft Play and a Mini-world of Brum attractions.
Due to the size, and as mentioned earlier, pre-booking is recommended.
Expect to spend 3-4 hours here. Kids will love it, and adults will catch the building bug (no not a cold from dirty public Lego bricks). Or though I did find a chewed up piece of food in one brick pool... But hey!
Staff are friendly and in plentiful supply. The rotation of staff duties is regular, so you won't meet a bored/tired/grumpy staff member who's been running the 'Merlin's Apprentice' ride for 5 hours straight.
Accessibility is good thought, so wheelchairs and pushchairs are find.
There are grown-up's evening according to the Web site, so if you don't have kids, check that out.
Really recommend, plus good wet weather attraction.
D. H.
Amazing day and plenty of fun, would recommend you have ALOT of spending money due to the price of the LEGO 😂
B. S.
It's ok, not brilliant, glad I got a discount via the sealife centre as if it would have cost more wouldn't have been worth it at all. Was expecting a lot more though to be fair.
R. s.
Obligatory for Lego fans. CV restrictions in place so not sure how it would have operated previously but tbh there wasnt much in there - expected a lot more for the entry fee. My son enjoyed the rides (2) and playing with lego. Other than looking at lego models of buildings (which i did find fascinating) that was about it
D. C.
Great for a few hours if you have young children. Not much to entertain adults but there's a coffee shop to enjoy. The Birmingham miniland is excellent. The lego shop is decent.
P. S.
If your in Birmingham you definitely should come here, it’s worth the time and money, the activities to there is fun, you can see stuff built from Lego, and the fact there is a movie you can watch just by waiting in the queue. At the end as your leaving you can buy anything from the store which is convenient and cool. The good thing is that you just need to buy the entry ticket and everything is free except buying at the store. Definitely should visit here.
M. B.
Great place for kids! After 5 hours my children don't want back home :-)
T. P.
Love this place to keep amused for a few hours...
Well run with activities for the kids... And the big kid inside... 👍👍
L. B.
Fantastic day out with my 3 year old daughter. When we first walked into the 'main room' I thought we would only be there for an hour, hour and a half max. It looks quite small. 6.5 hours later and I had to coax my daughter out of the place! I was a bit apprehensive given some of the negative reviews but it was a brilliant day out. Would definitely go again 😁
S.
Do not pay online! Tickets didn't come through, but money was taken. Attraction itself is good, but expensive.
S. G.
Its ok. I was expecting a little bit more for the money we paid. Very expensive (£60)for a family of 4 (1 child,2 adults & 1 under 3 free). We spent 2.5 hours there and that was stretched. Only so much you can do there -unlimited lego making and soft play... car parking, plus birmingham congestion charge, it would have been better to go to the main legoland in windsor.
R. G.
Very busy as it was the Easter holidays but still a great place for kids to go and have fun. Very friendly staff and hygienic restrooms. Only down side was the queuing was a bit of a wait but was this was to be expected.
N. k.
Although small it is packed with cool things for the kids, the key being the activity Center and free play area. Some really cool challenges for the kids
the staff are friendly
Bit of a long wait getting out as only two elevators, but minor issue
D. C.
So again Google has asked me to review a place I've never been to, so here goes:
I'm sure it's probably great.
You're welcome :)
s. m.
Overall good morning out. Age appropriate for our 2 and a half year old who loved it. Disappointed that a number of the buttons on the interactive display did not work and parking nearby is expensive. Big school visit during our time there so it felt a bit too busy especially under the current circumstances
M. W.
Family day at Lego land Birmingham, excellent day. But very poor signage to find this attraction from Birmingham centre.
S. B.
Very expensive for what it is but a nice hour or 2. Definitely look for the 2 4 1 vouchers. 4d cinema really good and rides are nice. Very clean and wasn't too busy when we went on a Saturday morning at 9.30. I'd say ideal age would be 4/5 yrs old.
B.
I visited for the Adult Night event and thoroughly enjoyed my experience, everything from the atmosphere, to the magnificent creative visuals and interactivities, and most importantly the great standard of customer service from the team, all of whom were helpful, informative, and great to talk to.
J. H.
Spent a happy couple of hours with a nearly 3 year old here... she loved the rides and play area as well as the many bricks!
S. S.
Great day out very interesting to look around and let the kids have some fun there are also a couple of rides and a 4d cinema all inclusive of the price just take a second morgage out for the shop at the end !
E. T.
Great place to visit with the kids. Plenty to keep them occupied for a couple of hours
M. S.
Took our 2 boys there, was very busy and not covid sage. There were an awful.lot of face mask "exempt" people, probably about 25%. Despite this it's quite a good place to while away 2 to 3 hrs. Couple of indoor rides, not enough lego build stations though. Was good to go there but doubt we would go back.
H. N.
Better than expected kids liked it though I would say it may not be much fun for older kids 10+
J. W.
The staff at Lego discovery are always very friendly and happy to help, Lindzi spent time talking products threw with myself Lindzi is very knowledgable on the Lego brand and does it all with a big smile. Highly recommend you pop in to say hello
C. C.
It was a lot of fun. Friendly, hard working staff. The two rides and the City cinema experience were great. The other activities were good too. As our first outing from Covid, we struggled a little with the soft play being open and the tactility of everything, but I guess part of that is getting used to being out and about a bit more. Plenty of sanitiser. It didn't feel too crowded. I'm sure we'll visit again.
G. a.
We were two adults and four children aged 4 - 14. We’ve been very eager to get ourselves over to this Legoland - we first went to the Legoland discovery centre in Manchester in 2014 and then had a two day experience down in the Windsor Legoland in 2018. Perhaps we were spoiled there but this one just seemed a bit of a disappointment as it seemed so small, however, having said this, the children did still enjoy the experience and we managed to make it last longer than it should thanks to the soft play and the three different cinema showings. There were three small (very) short rides the children can go on and on one of them, despite there being no one sat next to me and the gun being firmly in the holster, it managed to score more than me! (Maybe I really am that rubbish ha ha!) There’s an option of a master builder experience which is £5 per child (bookable there) and you get to take your (small) creation home - we didn’t opt for this as we have loads of Lego at home already. The majority of the attraction (apart from the displays) is accessible from the one room. There’s also a small café but we were prepared with our own lunch so I can’t review this aspect. There’s plenty of areas to build and trial your creations so lots to keep little ones busy for a while. The 4D cinema films last around 20 minutes. If it wasn’t for the soft play (which is nothing to do with Lego!), our outing would have been MUCH shorter. Whilst the children enjoyed themselves, had I paid full price I’d definitely say it wasn’t worth it. If you can get one of those two for one entry tickets and you haven’t been before, by all means visit as it’s a perfectly acceptable day out.
From the view of the 14 year old, it’s all very centred towards the younger child - he was grateful for having a phone to go on, although he did enjoy the 4D cinema immensely. He also remarked that it was overcrowded and stuffy.
T. S.
Unless you have a computer you wont know you need to book to gain acess .we nearly didnt get in but the child we borrowed (because you need a child under 12 to get in as well) had a merlin annual pass so we did after a bit of a complaint.
Once inside it was fantastic , but no acess to any phone signal or free wi fi . Toilet are clean .The 4d cinema . Two rides all really good the mini birmingham lego models are great .
D. M.
Lack of activities... Way too expensive for what it offers. Good though for up to preschool children.
C. U.
Great time for the kids. Can easily burn through 2-3 hours here.
L. L.
Compact but fun place to take the kids on a rainy day out.
P. L.
I don't feel there is that much here for kids to do. Poor value for money. It would have been a lower score if we paid full price.
K. S.
Really had fun with my wife and kid
N. H.
Went to the shop. Good place to get some older kits at reduced prices. Found a few hard to get polybags. 👍
S. F.
My 3 year old and 6 year old loved it. I wasn't expecting to spend very long there at all but we ended up staying for hours as they had so much fun. Lots for children of all ages. The staff were so friendly.
L. H.
Great place for kego lovers of all ages, although you can only enter with a child....
D. R.
It's Lego, it's terrible and hurts when you stand on it. I only went for the kids, no way did I go because I'm a big kid who uses his kids as an excuse to go to these places.....
P.S. my Lego car is better then yours so ner.
c. d.
Was a really good day a bit expensive but we spent a good 6 hours there we didn't take a packed lunch but wish we had as not much food choice and was very expensive for food but so much fun hours and hours of building .
M. S.
Nice place, daughter enjoyed herself well enough, particularly the 4D film.
For the price though, there isn't a great deal there, I was expecting a little more. We only got 2 hours there, due to coronavirus, and daughter would have been happy for at least another hour, so not too bad all in all.
L. S.
Really great fun had here. Long queue to get in despite booking a time slot but kids had a lovely time. Lots to do once in there. Tip.. Skip the ride and models and Go thru to the main area first then come back to these once everybody else has been. We missed our time slot for the master builder but they fit us in later, shame there's a time limit but is actually enough time. Nice it being super busy.
R. C.
Fab place, lots to do, and our Lego mad kids loved it. Particular highlights are the soft play, the 4D cinema and the two rides. Cafe very expensive as you'd expect, with a long queue cased by slow, inattentive service. Some of the hand santiser dispensers were empty, which is a shame as children were trying to use them on high contact areas such as soft play. We will definitely be back!
K. C.
Really enjoyed it, great couple of hours family time xx
S. F.
Kids had a blast, plenty to do and occupy for hours
T. D.
Went with kids and they liked it very much. We can spent around 4-5 hours. Lots of Lego blocks for the kids to play. Inside you have coffee shop. When we come out, there is a shop to buy Lego.
E. R.
Smaller than expected but this ended up being to our advantage as kids could move round fairly independently.
S. P.
Fun place to spend the day with the kids. Car park is nearby and easy to find.
R. K.
Expensive but it was better value than I thought it was going to be. My children really enjoyed it and there was lots to do.
The only reason this isn't a 4 star review, is because we had to wait 30 minutes to get in, despite pre-booking tickets and a time slot.
I asked at the main ticket desk, what the point was of booking a slot if you still had to wait in a queue around the building and they said it was just because of Covid. The girl did not want to listen and was not helpful when there clearly is a problem with the system if you book a slot and still have to queue. crazy!
v. g.
This is a great price if you get it in the combo with sealife centre. Good for kids and families
R. L.
Absolute stunned of all the rides and highly interactive games! Extremely highly recommend for familys with one or more 3+ year old child!
T. M.
Okay ish. Very expensive but not much to play. Some staff is very slow and unhelpful
M. B.
Great afternoon out. Lots of lego building to be done! Really good 4D cinema too
M. L.
Had an amazing family day out here! Definitely worth the money.
R. P.
The name says it all. Though what it doesn’t state is: this is n awesome place for adults too to test your car holding skills for your children. Using pieces to make and test, one can have fun with kids of all ages. The laser shooting experience is a hoot and going on it just once feels a pity. They have a splendid collection of Lego built places - admire the master builders who have made them. I wonder if Lego Master Builders do tutorials on YouTube?
J. O.
Great day with kids. Recommend for kids up to about 10 year old.
S. D.
We planned on staying 2 hours but stayed over 4 hours with 5 children between 2 and 9. Friendly staff too!
A. R.
Great day. Thoroughly enjoyed it. My 2 yr old had a brilliant time. Loved the rides, the cinema, the replica city and all the areas to play.
M. T.
Kids enjoyed it. Was a great few hrs out. Went with a virgin experience day gift. Think it's very overpriced for what u get if you have to pay full price.
M. A.
My 7 year old Daughter really loved this place. Probably will be visiting again. The staff was very nice and cooperative.
Only shortcoming was: I felt at the points where children were supposed to build their own stuff had a little shortage of Lego pieces.
Overall it was a wonderful experience
B. T.
Lots for kids to do. Shooting ride is good fun. Great to see Brum in minature.
S. S.
Decent fun day out, interactive games and a few rides although one was closed
A. W.
Took 10 year grandson. Probably just the limit on age. Better for younger children.
A. W.
Great day out in stormy weather.kept my grandson very busy
S. M.
Lovely place. I would have given 5 stars but a bit expensive unless you include another attraction on your ticket as it only really takes a couple of hours to visit. But well worth the money if you include sealife centre and Warwick Castle.
s. z.
Nice place to visit. Kids are occupied for 3 hrs..
J. D.
Kids loved the place - very excited and happy
J. G.
Lots to do for kids of any age, would reccomend a visit.
C. E.
I liked Legoland and my son enjoyed the softplay and 4D movies so much. It's smaller when compared to what you would expect as LEGOLAND but it keeps the kids quite occupied.
I'd recommend you visit with the kids, but pack a snack because might not necessarily be happy with the available menu :)
l.
Great for the kids
C. a. S. D.
Fantastic space for families with little ones. Love that this place can be booked as a multi-attraction ticket with the SeaLife center and Warwick castle. Within walking distance of other attractions, eateries and great and affordable overnight accommodation.
D. H.
It was a nice place to take the kids. Lots of Lego to keep them occupied and the soft play area to leave them in!
K. K.
I think they should have more attraction for kids for that price. But it still nice place for family Sunday ❤
I. P.
Nice place to go with the kids. 2 rides. 2 soft plays. Just an entertaining place for the kids in the holidays
h.
Loved it, we wasn't sure how my 2 year old would be but he showed us how much he loved Lego and his reaction was priceless. Safe to say that Lego has an array of benefits so long as young children are supervised. Plenty to do and you will easily spend an 1-2 hours here. Shop was clean and well stocked allowing me to make some purchases for my son and also coming across some rare creator set which was bought as a gift.
Y. V.
Price - let's talk price first. It's certainly overpriced. For 2 adults and a two and a half year old we paid £48, which is insane for what it is. Term time, it'd be £14 a head, so £28 for us two adults. Under 3s are free. That to me is a lot more reasonable for a day out, especially as nearby parking is another £10 for 5 hours. We were here for just under 5 hours. I'd say, the perfect age would be about 5 or 6, as the children can roam more freely and explore.
All activities were fantastic and the staff were superb. The 4 stars is only due to the price. I nearly went with 3, but our little one did love it. Just that we probably won't be coming back in non term time.
They have some amazing building activities with both Lego and Duplo. One where you make cars and race them or create a dragon for the competition. You can also build a duplo tower and press a button to shake the base - that was awesome! There's a soft play area, which was also fantastic and it seems that all kids loved it. There are areas for younger ones too, so they can play more independently
The activity pass they do for £5, lets you collect impression stamps along the way and then get a minifigure at the end. You could choose from a blue or pink Lego Ninjago character.
The 4D cinema was by far our favourite. You get a little wet, but it's all part of the fun. The ride was also great, peddle to go up and let go to move down (spins like a merry go round too) - lots of fun! There's another ride where you shoot characters, which was wicked. Our little one loved it and I tried to rack up a good highscore - ha ha.
There was also a character (Ninjago?) that appeared in the circus tent (central area) partway through our stay, which was great.
All in all, a well worth it experience, but make sure you go term time, so it's more affordable (don't forget the pricey nearby parking - the train or parking elsewhere and walking could help ease the cost).
Staff were fantastic. Very helpful and kind. Thank you for a great day out.
a. u.
Nice place for small children
V. M.
We all had a fab time. Great the parents can get involved. Then take 5 whilst they are in the soft play.
M. R.
Best shop ever with toys!!!
P. K.
Went to an adult night. Great fun and creativity!
A. O.
Really loved the experience..
J. H.
Ideal if you have walking toddler or older. Lots of rides and activities, quite small so probably better value to combine with the sealife centre than to pay full price and only visit this on its own
Y. A.
Really good day out kids loved it just a little pricey its ok paying that much for kids but when adults have to pay the same it's a bit much. Staff are excellent and helpful.
Y. S.
Great place if you're kids like lego. They have plenty of soft play areas. It can get very busy at peak times. Staff are polite and friendly. Kids can wait spend 4/5 hours here. Has 2 rides which were fun for the kids. The 4D movie was great, my son loved it. Make sure you book online, you'll make a huge saving on the tickets.
You have to park at arena car park which is expensive.
m. L.
Amazing place although we add to stand outside in the cold before being let in
M. V.
Lots of lego fun. The 4D movie also fantastic!
O. P.
Good day, disabled friendly. It's a tad expensive and you'll be done in a couple of hours but the kids liked it so no complaints.
T. H.
The children love it here. 2 small rides and lots of lego to play with could keep them occupied for a whole day as they love Lego so much.
b. s.
It's not bad but considering the ticket prices, it's not that great unless your kid is a super Lego fan. On top of it, playtime is limited (3 hours on weekdays and 2 hours on weekends). I am not sure if limited playtime is due to Covid or a regular policy. My kid enjoyed the 4D movie. The worst part was kingdom quest ride timing. We went on a weekday and Kingdom quest ride closes at 10:30 AM. Our entry time was 9:45, we got a little late and reached Legoland only at 10:15 AM and by the time we reached, there was hardly anytime to repeat the Kingdom quest ride.
K. R.
Really enjoyed the day here. It seems expensive but there's a lot to see and do for kids, from rides and 4d cinemas to the lego building and soft play areas. The main part of the venue sits in one room and is a totally safe environment. Adults can't attend without children and there are plenty of staff keeping an eye on things. Definitely a place I'd return to a few years with my 4 year old
A. A.
Great place for kids. There's a soft play area, they show about 4 short lego movies a day and they have a workshop where kids can learn how to create stuff with lego (you'll pay for this workshop separately)
K. M.
Loads of activities for kids. 4D cinema experience was awesome.
E. G.
I was only a little impressed by the shop, the variery was quite sparse and the shelves where nowhere near full considering how huge the business of lego is. I was supporting an adult with learning disabilities who is a big fan of lego and wanted to go to the discovery center after seeing the shop, we were refused entry as we were both over the age of 18, considering the amount of adult collectors lego has, disabled or not, i found this unbelievable. I did like the lego giraffe guarding the door!
S. K. A.
Good if you are huge fan of Lego and can spend half Day.
J. C.
Our two boys (aged 3 & 5) loved this. Quite expensive at £20 per person but that's what we paid as had no vouchers. We did have a good 2 hours in the place though. Staff were lovely and the 4D cinema experience, we loved! Became very busy as we were leaving around lunch time.
C. P.
Great if it is on your Merlin pass, would I pay? Probably not, but it's good for a couple of hours for Lego obsessed kids so I will let you decide.

For a weekday activity with little ones this is a fantastic choice. You can sit in the middle and take your own picnic while the children do one of the many activities that surround the seating area. It was really relaxed and the kids loved it, and we're happy for ages. We had a variety of ages, 10 months to 17 and they all had a grand time! Definitely be back, term time week only. Can imagine the weekend being a nightmare!

the music made me a headache we spend 4 hours, but same music all way down.
M. H.
One for the kids, little one enjoyed it, but it's basically a glorified softplay with Lego. A couple of rides included, nothing special. Super expensive when you add it all up and not likely we'd go back.
K. W.
Excellent experience, my 2.5 year old enjoyed it a lot. Very friendly staff and plenty attractions
M. H.
Great place to visit, we spent a full day there.
B. J.
Brilliantly creative and fun great day out combined with Sealife
g. b.
Really enjoyable morning/afternoon. Plenty of activities to suit all ages.
D. H.

Not enough to do for the cost.
Build your own car feature, but there is nothing but tyres
R. D.
Amazing place, kept my 5 yr old entertained for hours
T. S.
I love this shop I have never seen any other shop that ever gave me this feeling oh my gosh I will do anything to get at least one big Lego ninjago or Star Wars or marvel set and when I mean anything I mean ANYTHING best shop EVERRRRRR
D. W.
We went for our sons 5th birthday and we had a great time
P. S.
A fun experience for the little one's.

Good place to hang out...my children liked it. Small place though
M. b.
My 1 year old daughter loved it, and loved seeing her enjoy herself that much. Great play areas for children and also a separate play area for under 5s.
j. a.
great morning. grandson so happy, so much to do, really enjoyed it.
food not so good, pasta tasted yak and sandwich dry. still great visit though
p. J.
Good half day out with the kids, they really enjoyed it. We went July 21 so was restricted numbers. Can't imagine trying to search through the lego bins to build a lego racer with another dozen pairs of hands rummaging for the same thing.🤪🤪
C. P.
My 4 year old loved it and had a great time to be fair. The mini land part is impressive. I felt like it needs a bit more guidance on what to do in there it is a total free for all I found. There were a couple of classes of school children there so was quite busy. I think full price is pretty overpriced for what it is but the parent and toddler for £10 was much better value.
E. R.
Staff were polite and friendly, the first ride was quite impressive and the cinema was good fun. I can imagine it could get very busy at peak times. It's not that big, but worth getting a voucher deal and taking a couple of hours out to keep the kids happy.
M. K.
Great fun for kids of all ages, even those in their 40s!
M. S.
Great day out, customer service wasn’t on point. I booked combo ticket and thought I’d spend longer at sea life, but it wasn’t busy so we finished 2.5h early. I went it Lego land and explained the situation it was raining and I’ve got two kids and wanted to see if they would let me go in. They said to me no. Yes my fault so had to wait around for 2.5h and it rained heavily. Kids enjoyed experience when we eventually got it
E. P.
Lots of activity for kids and some for adults as well, not sure if my kids liked it more or their dad :) been there couple of times already
K. M.
Until recently we had no idea this place existed, but now we do, we will be returning for another fun family day out.
Plenty to do and see, and you can also get dual tickets which allow you to visit the Sea life center which is just across the road too.
M. D.
Great for kids and adults who LOVE lego, however... the last room, with the soft play area and activities is not adult friendly. Expect to be standing and waiting for a long time. There are a VERY small number of seats and it's always busy so yes you'll be standing while your little one is running around having a great time. My son loved it but I felt that adults (and every child is with one or more, who are also the people who decide if we come back again ever!) are not even considered.
A. B.
Great fun for the whole family and lego lovers your little ones will not get bored and will love the fun here. Lovely little activities to do and rides and lego building. staff are fantastic services are good and has cafes inside to. A all indoor attraction.
S. B.
It's great for younger children but there is not a massive amount to do their for older kids.
The tickets are quite expensive for what the actual activity is, especially if you consider its pretty much the same as Drayton Manor and there is so much to do in comparison.
It probably wouldn't be so bad if the adults tickets were half the price as you are only there really to supervise your kids, it's not an adults activity on the whole.
There is only a Costa style cafe their as well and no proper food available which also limits your stay.
Staff were helpful & friendly and the place was kept clean.
J. D.
Amazing day in the heart of the city fun for all ages
T. S.
Not a bad morning out, as far as value for money goes it's not the best. Very expensive for what it is. The 4D theatre was good, as was the kingdom ride thing and the models were good. Plenty of activities for the kids to do but the price of entry is way too inflated. We have a discount and it still came to £38 for three people, at full price i would've been well miffed! Don't think we shall rush back, certainly not for a coffee at £3 a cup!!!!
T. N.
This is a really fun place for kids and adults. Lots of space and things to see and interact with. Big soft play areas that are split in to age groups so the little ones don't get run over
M. G.
Great visit on a Monday. Not many people here at all so easy to do all activities. Kids loved it and a good way to keep them amused for a couple of hours.
M. G.
A good experience, but I think it could be a bit more interactive, currently feeling done it once won't do it again, and our daughter is 3'ish.
A. C.
Kids enjoyed, bright and colourful with a few hours of guaranteed playtime. However don't know if £15-20 ticket price both for adult and child justifies another visit! The Lego shop had nothing cheap and cheerful to buy for the kids except £5 Keyring with a tiny toy! Better choice and discounts in the shop would be nice
B. D.
Although the kids loved the attraction and had a good couple of hours play. I was disappointed with the cleanliness of the soft play area, some parts caked thick with dust.
There were no lunchboxes for the kids from the cafe. And the bread on the sandwich felt like it had been sat out for hours before being packed, It had gone dry and firm.
S. C.
Walked past it on way to Costa, nice giraffe 🦒
L. S.
Not a huge place, so don't go expecting it to be big...my 7 year old loves it! It has enough to keep him busy and entertained. There's also a cafe in the main hall... We have annual passes which I would recommend, it's great to have somewhere to go either rainy days or sunny days. 5 stars because of how happy my boy is when we go!
T. D.
Great morning out, rides, 4D cinema, and tons of bricks. Great vehicle ramps, with a top soft play. Very friendly staff. Tasty Costa Coffee. And a big Lego shop.
M. F.
Kids love it! Shooting skeletons, soft play, 4 d cinema, and lego friends are all popular. I personally like the Birmingham buildings in miniland. If I have to criticise, I think some the lego pieces need a good sort out - it's particularly difficult to find pieces to build a car for the ramp, but we managed to cobble something together!
H. S.
This is a Lego branded large soft play in effect. Like a 360 degree play if you've been to one. The 4D cinema was excellent. The cafe was average stock and reasonable price but not extensive given its "Lego" tourist attraction label. We spent 3 hours here and my little girl loved it as she's Lego obsessed but wasn't the family day out that we had hoped for as we had travelled over an hour for it. I think it is pricey for what you get but value if you use Tesco club card. The staff however were very professional, helpful and offered excellent service.
A. A.
A great place to take the kids.
Lots of activity for them to get involved in and my kids loved the 4d cinema.
The staff were friendly and engaging, and the whole race was clean, however I'm not sure how long that would last in a wet sunday with lego going everywhere!
Not a full day in my opinion, but well worth a visit and I'm sure we will go back at some point.
D. r.
Good afor under 8's my son is 10.anf loves lego but the facilities were a little young for him.
C. E. I.
Second visit today. Love the shop and 4d cinema. Centre is ok but a lot of money for adults when they can't do as much as the little ones. Best for under 10s
M. M.
Not as big as I expected. Not overly impressed, but what was there was awesome. Not sure worth the price, even with a multi-ticket discount. But the kids enjoyed it, and that's what it's all about.
L. D.
A great day out for the kids. We got here half an hour late as I struggled to find our booked car park despite following the postcode given by them - Ultility arena south car park (which is on the next left after the closed entrance for West car park if its on your left. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. We just about made the train journey (which was so much fun) which I'm sure the staff held on just for us. All staff were so friendly particularly Suffyian (apologies if I've misspelt that), the gentleman with a lovely foreign accent and the Muslim lady at Costa cafe with beautiful mehndi. They have a main hub where there is 2 soft plays, a fairground ride, car ramps, a cinema (3d with water sprays and bubbles and free popcorn.. Watching a trippy lego animation - brilliant experience for kids). Half hours was ample for us. Thank you for the lovely day experience guys... You all do a great job 😊👍
l. n.
Great little place with loads to do. Can easily drag out the whole day here.
H. G.
This was a fantastic place to visit my little one loved it we were there 4 1/2 hours. Lots of Lego to build and miniland was amazing. Our complaints was the gift for completing the activity pack was a silly ghostly mini figure especially as we went for Easter! I was not impressed with the cafe the drinks were from a machine and tasted horrible, and the only food was cake or sandwiches. But definitely return for the Lego experience!
M. H.
Great fun for all the family, lots to do
O. S.
Great way to spend a morning keeping young children amused. There's a couple of soft play areas, some rides, a 4d cinema and lots of hands on building areas.
On site cafe is a bit basic with quite a limited selection (there are seating areas for you to eat your own food) but other than that this is well worth a visit
T. D.
Excellent day out with kids from my school. Lots of activities and things to do for young ones.
A. J.
We went on a rainy day as all indoors. It's a lot smaller than I thought it would be so glad I booked tickets for 3pm onwards and not peak. Also its a little cheaper than morning and lunch esp if you book online. Kids enjoyed it non the less. Would of been much better I feel if more rides and interactive games. No real incentive to revisit. We stayed for a little over 3 hours. All in all its an OK few hours to spend out of the rain. If teamed with the combi ticket for sealife can be a good day out for the kids.
J. H.
The Discovery centre was excellent in all ways apart from the cafe. The term time offer of £14 for carer and child is excellent value, but for peak times I think it's over priced. A great variety of Lego based activities, including two rides - and no queues when we went - brilliant!
As we are not supposed to bring our own food in I do think the cafe should have a better choice - the children's 'meal deal' was nutritionally very poor and the choice very limited. With a real focus on childhood obesity I think LDC need to significantly improve on the quality of the children's meals. My grandson hates white bread but that was all that was on offer, the jellies were not set - liquid pouring out when we opened one! Other than the issues raised it was a very enjoyable outing.
M. T.
I was very impressed with the space, the staff were amazing, the whole place was really well done, and my son enjoyed the 4D movies. The ventilation isn't great though and there is a dirty diaper smell in there. My son is 5 now so I would prefer to not have to experience that anymore!
J. H.
Great few hours out with 2 kids. Got a 40%off voucher and was glad as I would have been disappointed had we paid full price. Initial ride was great fun and the mini world great to look at and fun with the interactive features. Main room them good fun with the boys loving to build cars and race them. Cafe serving drinks and packed lunch boxes not too bad with selection and reasonable price but sooooooo sloooooow service only 2 people serving and coffee took ages.
C. M.
Had Merlin passes so we combined it with the sealife, however easily did both in the day as neither was as big as expected. There were 2 rides, a 4D cinema, a soft play, a mini city of B'ham and cars, Duplo and Lego friends to build.
K. c.
Bought annual pass and it's worth. They have so much to do there. Best place for indoor fun.
F. S.
Great for kids and parents together. Its not expensive and near the sea life centre.I brought my kids twice in 5 months and they still enjoy it. The 3d cinema is fantastic. Have a good time. Plus it is not only in Birmingham there more. Check their website to find out the closest to you.
R. K.
Fun day out with the family, got a good deal on tickets as booked this along with Sealife Centre (flexibility of going on different days). Social distancing was reasonably kept and kids got to enjoy a ride, soft play, 4d cinema experience plus the whole lego making experience ☺. Will look forward to going again.
C. P. L. &. J. M.
Went to the adult evening that they run once every month which was great. Very relaxed atmosphere and great to be able to be a big kid without having to worry about what the kids are doing. Thoroughly enjoyed it and can imagine kids would absolutely love it.
I. T.
A great 4 hours of joy for our 7 year old Lego fan grandson. Lots of different hands-on activities and a n exciting "4D" 15 minute film. Seemed like 3D to me! When you were flying through the air they turned the fans up for the feel of wind in your hair!
Lots of friendly helpful staff who spend a lot of time picking Lego off the floor from all the enthusiastic model making. And of course there's a big Lego shop on the way out. Great fun! Highly recommended.
A. R.
Good little venue that kids will love. Reasonably small but packed with things to do and Def unique. Usual issues with this sort of venue though in that the in house food is expensive and average (at best). Staff are amazing.
R. L.
We had a great time, the mini-town with lots of local monuments was very good. There was excellent attention to details. It wasn't too busy either.
E. S.
Booked as a treat for my daughter’s 1st birthday with my 3 yr old daughter. Was good, but not good enough for the price, paid for 2 parent and toddler prices even tho my 1yr old should go free, the price for 2 adults and a 3yrs were more. Cheaper to go this way, but still paid £42 for a large room of things in my eyes. We love Lego but without a rush we literally saw and did everything there was within an hour so defo not a day out thing. My daughter loves loves Legos!!! Wished there were more for her to do.
The cafe and gift shop was very pricey and car park even if it not their was expensive. The 4D Movie was the best part of it all. Properly will not be trying this anytime soon.
Just a shame because my eldest been looking forward to it for a while.
A. B.
Really lovely place. The kids loved it! Even my teenager sat building. If your looking for something to do on a rainy day this is perfect. The cafe is lovely and you can watch the children play while you have a coffee. It is a lot more lego building orientated than legoland itself but still has 2 rides and a 4d cinema.
P. H.
A great day out for the kids. I was surprised how long we spent there, about 5 hours but we could happily have stayed even longer. Queues for the attractions were a bit long in the afternoon but before 1 and after 4 were fine.
M. O.
If you love Lego you will love it here. We spent around 3.5 hours making numerous cars and racing them down both ramps. The soft play is decent too and both rides are good fun. Highly recommended.
P. S.
There was a lot fewer activities since lockdown but the price remained the same. I am surprised the duplo slide was not open as the soft play bit was. Our daughter would have loved to go on the slide. Especially as the crawl tunnel was open in mini Village
H. S.
Came here for a surprise for my sons birthday. Overall they really enjoyed it, minimal queues. Mini land part was the best bit. We got 50% off the entry price and I’m glad we did not pay full price.
R. W.
Only small but kids still loved it. We had a nice time and for a Saturday wasn't overly busy. I would go again.
D. 1.
We took our grandkids (3 & 7 years) to Legoland and we all had a great time. So much to see and do - lots of Lego to play with - and 4D Lego movies too.The time passed by so quickly.😊
A. S.
Very cool, very interactive attraction which is ideal for Lego fans. Our 5yr old son loved it. Not enough there to fill a whole day but is only walking distance from the Sealife Centre (also very good).
V. C.
We visited in the October half term holidays.
In simple terms it's two big rooms which consists of two rides, 4D cinema, soft play and exhibition in Lego of Birmingham's attractions & places of interest and of course lots and lots of Lego!!!
We stayed for around three hours and both of our boys really enjoyed it.
Full admission price is expensive, so look out for offers and luckily when we visited it was relatively quiet so the boys got to do everything they wanted but I can imagine if busy you would be limited on the amount of activities you could do.
