I booked in for an appointment with Alice yesterday and the results have been incredible. I have so much more movement in my neck and woke up feeling very bright, without the headache that I've been enduring for the last few days (and pretty constantly over the last few years). As a runner I developed a painful hip, didn’t do the sensible thing and stop running but instead carried on until I could hardly walk. Family members advised me to find a good Chiropractor I could work with. I’m not the most patient person, wanting fixes quickly and very focused on my training. By the time I got to the point I knew I needed help my running performance had dropped, I was in pain, grumpy and very frustrated, then I found Frankie. So poor Frankie had this new grumpy, frustrated, inpatient person on her hands, Frankie knew exactly what the problem was, she's very good at communicating, talking me through exactly what was wrong and explaining how the body works. She immediately put a plan together including treatment and rest from running, she is very knowledgeable about sports and understands athlete's mental side of the problem as well. Frankie told me I needed to stop running for several weeks, I was so frustrated and figured I could carry on running while getting treatment so ignored her advice and went for a run, it was so painful. Then Frankie put a brilliant structured plan together and sent it to me, reading through that made me realise I had to work with her on this. On subsequent appointments she put me at ease, educated me, structured my recovery and managed my stupid requests (I asked if I could do back to back appointments to speed up recovery!). Everything she told me was accurate even the time needed for recovery, now I’m back to my normal running and cycling and no indication of the old injury coming back. I can’t thank Frankie enough, especially for being so patient and understanding with me. Highly recommended.

I've been seeing Frankie now for a couple of years, not because I'm in pain but for maintenance mainly. Frankie is very professional and I feel confident going to her, and we do have a laugh and thankfully she tolerates my bad language when she finds a knotted spot! If I am in lots of pain she gives me acupuncture so that I can cope when she gets going on the problem. I would throughly recommend Amat Chiropractic to anyone who has any joint problems, suffer from headaches etc. Frankie makes you feel at ease and is brilliant at sorting aches and pains.

During lockdown, in July, I was diagnosed with a frozen shoulder. Oh the pain I was in! It was the weekend so I went to A&E and the duty doctor said I should just take painkillers, maybe get in touch with my GP to get referred to a physiotherapist, and eventually it would ease but may take 6 months to 2 years. Thank goodness for my niece, Frankie, at Amat Chiropractic. I went to see her that week and she started me on a course of treatment (acupuncture, manipulation and massage) and exercises to do. After nine visits, starting weekly, then bi-weekly, I have full movement back. I still have to work on my strength but I am without pain and can easily do the exercises. So 5 months later, I am back to my old self. Thank you sooo much xxxx

I first found out about Amat Chiropractic, at the start of lockdown, when my sister shared a video from Facebook of ‘her friend’s chiropractor’, showing how to stretch some tight muscles in the neck area. It really helped my neck. Having a history of shoulder and neck problems, and my previous chiropractor retiring, I needed to find a new one. I did some research, found 5 star reviews and positive comments so I decided to get in touch. With a quick response and a last minute cancellation, I was able to attend an initial consultation and be treated the same day! Alice was very polite and welcoming, and I was reassured to see PPE being used and good hygiene procedures carried out. She was very thorough and informative, listening and asking questions about my shoulder complaint and general health. I could tell that she was passionate about helping people and didn’t cut the appointment short after my hour was up, checking with me that it was ok to do a bit more treatment. I definitely feel that some improvement has been made to my injury and look forward to returning next week for more treatment.

Over the years through training and exercising I’ve had a number of injuries and issues that require me to be mindful of how I move and who I see for treatment. Frankie has the most amazing work ethic, what she can achieve in one 25 minute appointment still astounds me. I can’t recommend her enough. My job means I have to stand for long periods and old injuries sometimes lead to pain but whenever I see Frankie I leave feeling rejuvenated and invariably pain free. Added to that she’s a lovely person and obviously cares immensely about her patients. If in doubt book an appointment because I can’t believe you’ll be disappointed!

Dr Frankie has done it again, worked her magic and released me from pain! I was suffering with (I think) rib spasm which meant I could not breathe in fully, walking hunched over, and could hardly twist my body. Not helpful when putting on your seatbelt and reversing.
