Reviews of Bournemouth Pier
r. r.
Really nice environment! Great walk along the beach! Full of dogs and families it's a great place to go for an afternoon stroll. It kinda resembles a wannabe Santa Monica pier 😂 it gives American vibes! My dog enjoyed the pup ice cream and the sunshine and sand!
A. D.
Awesome place to be in summers in UK - perhaps the only place where you can get in the water and swim across. Life is beautiful in this part of the world and you can enjoy the full day if not more at this place. Happening place for beach lovers. Lots of things to do in this place.
V. A.
Nice place to run. Seagulls dragging plastic bags and other stuff from the bins around. You can meet dozen of people with metal detector in the morning on the beach. Nice place for exercises till the actual gym opens around 6:30am. It's gets super busy during the day time. I would recommend to avoid visiting this, there are nicer places in half an hour walk distance
s. k.
Very beautiful clean and long pier, with stunning views across the bay with ample seating. Few shops are available on the pier itself.
The beach is also very clean and beautiful, it’s worth a visit for sure. Walk down the pier to listen to the waves and watch the sunset for a mesmerising time.
M. S.
If you need hustle and bustle, this is the place to be. It is almost impossible to escape. The pier costs admission. So if you want to enjoy the view from the water, you have to pay. Currently 1.40 pounds for adults. All attractions on the pier cost extra, of course. The view is great, though. You can see the whole beach.
The beach itself is fine sand.
T. G.
As piers go it's a bit short.
It's £1.30 for adults which is fine as it helps the upkeep of the pier
It's free later in evening.
A few kiddies rides at the end but the high light has to be the zip line to the shore I think it's the only one in the world. pier to shore.
Well worth a visit the view is fantastic.

Visited for a evening stroll and play on the beach. Nice clean and tidy beach. Especially after what i imagined would of been a very busy weekend. Shops to buy beach supplies (needed as was a last minute trip). Also a small arcade, toilets and a chip shop all along the front! 😄
J. T.
Beautiful weather! Beautiful scenery! Beautiful beach! Brilliant and relaxing boat ride from the pier, round and back again! Delicious food from the bar on the beach too! Always love Bournemouth! 😍😊
A. S.
One of the cleanest sandy beaches in UK that I have visited. Recommend taking the cruise across the bay area. I did not expect to see Isle of Wight from there.
C. J.
Bournemouth Pier was a lovely beach, very clean. The sand was beautiful and the sea was lovely and blue. Its a great atmosphere and a few shops and toilets are available on the pier. Well worth the visit
C. V.
Very centrally located pier great for views of the sunset and taking local boat trips although somewhat spoilt by heavily concrete beam rather than traditional rafter and plank based construction as exemplified by say Brighton Pier.
A. H.
Only ever been once before our latest trip and will 100% be back again. My favourite place to visit and well worth the 7-8 hours round trip! Clean, great atmosphere and beautiful scenery 💕
S. S.
Well maintained pier with great views from there, highly recommend going when visiting Bournemouth. Plenty of seats, cafes, restaurant, activities (bouldering, zip lining) on the pier itself too. As expected it is quite windy on there.
There is a small entrance fee based on the signs depending on what time of day you go, evening is free. Also there are public toilet facilities and arcades just before entering.
M. W.
Nice pier with some attractions at the end including a zipline, pirate boat and some other children's amusements. Wee restaurant situation on the pier too. Lovely views out to sea and also back along to Purbeck and other views west from the opposite side.
H. W.
A lovely place to come and see the sea. It's not the biggest of piers but has a nice feel with plenty of seating. There's toilets just of the pier by the amusements.
M. J.
Much more commercial than Boscombe and a bit more expensive but lots to see and do. If, like me, you don't like heights, don't go on the big wheel like I did! Fantastic views though!
S. A.
Lovely place, it looks so exotic and full of life. Be aware!!! You will always have people going in the sea, no matter the temperature outside lol
Y. B.
Nice clean beach with clean water. Plenty of places to eat, gift shops and toilet facilites. Able to hire chairs and parasols on beach
C. M.
Visiting london from the 🇺🇸 USA.
Had a great time with the family 👪.
Will surely be back in the near future.
Bournemouth Beach is a must 👌.
Very clean ,lots of food and entertainment.
r. D.
Good pier. Rock climbing and zip wire for those who are feeling adventurous, I did not pay any toll charges but have been told there is a fee for peak season
A. S. M. D. (. A.
Bournemouth Pier is the most exciting Pier in Dorset. Aruba Arcade and Restaurant, the Oceanarium, Mini Golf and the awesome Russell Coates Museum are all right there. Lots of food choices from different vendors. The City Centre is only a couple minutes away. And I had a blast at the Winter Wonderland that was set up over the Christmas Holidays! There is a sky zip line as well. I walked from Boscombe Pier, the whole stretch to Bournemouth Pier and then onto Alum Chine where the Tropical Gardens are. It was absolutely LOVELY!
C. N.
Always worth a visit to the pier, always a fantastic beach and sea, plus so much more! Cafes, hotels, entertainment, even amusements and ice creams, zipwires, sea life centre and street entertainment all within reach of the beach. Also, great sunsets!
K. J. B.
Typical English seaside pier with covered seating a bar, Children’s rides, amusements and also access to boat trips. Note it does cost £1.40 to get onto the pier which was only payable by contactless payment June 2022.
P. K. K.
It's one of the famous sand beaches in UK. This beach is always crowded and one of the top rated beach. I have visited through star tours. However you can also reach through Train and other means of transport. When I visited this place it was cool and little sunlight so it was just apt to be in the beach. Along with the beach you have plenty of shopping options and yummy restaurants.
J. N.
🏖️ is really good! Enough space for parking, food store, and park near by. Great place to spend the weekend.if you are UK, must visit this place.
E. R.
Walk in the open air facing the sea, very suggestive. We had a wonderful day. The facility is well maintained, too bad that the local restaurants / bars closed closed at 5:00 pm.
A. P.
It's a very nice place to visit with your family. I loved the pier, the beach and the rides for children at the pier. The are lot of food options to try nearby.
A. C.
Loving the pier, just a shame there's no theatre. Loved the view, loved the surfers! Great ambience
D.
An absolute beautiful view with so much activity. such as the expensive zipline and the indoor climbing facilities I have been to Bournemouth pier countless times and have enjoyed looking out across the vast landscape. the café at the end of the pier serves great food and drink.
A. H.
Amazing experience, beautiful views and lots to do, we had a lovely weekend. Don't forget to visit the oceanarium, its really worth the visit.
M. T.
Bournemouth Pier that nhon nhip, dong vui. Co nhung hoat dong danh cho du khach den tham quan noi day. Vao mua he thuong co dieu hanh may bay, ban phao hoa... Den day minh con co the cau ca, cau muc, cam trai ban dem. Vui lam moi nguoi oi
Bournemouth pier is very happy and noisy place. There were many visitors came here In the summer . In the tourist season, it has many activities such as ✈ airplane parading , fireworks...
You also can fish the 🎣 fishing or squid... and even camping at night time. Very funny 😄 😆 🤣 👍👍👍💗
E. B.
Lovely little walk and fantastic views for miles.
You have to pay to go on to the pier, but that last all day and you can go back for multiple visits that day.
Places to eat, drink and even a little fun fair.
W. G.
Love a walk along the pier, have a drink something to eat. Watch the surfers and skiers x gorgeous
C. A.
A great place to see the beach and listen to the sound of the sea. Plus a great restaurant to relax.
b. b.
Lovely sandy beach. Plenty car parks around . Lots of things to do around, the Aquarium is a must.
S. B.
A little disappointing by the standards of most English piers. Concrete stanchions and pillars rather than Victorian steel and modern buildings rather than charming old ones means it loses most of its curb ( or sea ) appeal. Is worth the walk along its length though to get a look back for some great views of Bournemouth.
A. H.
Beautiful views from the pier. There is little parking for disabled or hard of walking, unless you plan your trip in advance.
T. S.
A nice place to be on a hot day, not too crowded and found a seat without waiting. 2-4-1 cocktails allday every day is a must. The table service idea works well and the wait wasn't long. The staff were very attentive.
K. H.
A lovely place. It wasn't the best weather as it was beginning of February but it was a bit sunny and I wasn't expecting it as wheather forecast was saying rain and not so windy as other beach sides of uk. The sand on the beach is lovely . To be honest I think is the 1st place in England I've seen this smooth sand and nice coloured, I felt like I am in spain 😁. It's definitely a place I need to come back in summer . The beach was really clean and some people were swimming even now in this cold waters, others were doing some surfing. Can't wait to get back here.
M. N.
My children went on the zip wire, twice. Such fun. The pier is great and a good viewing point.
z. m.
Very nice 😊 also you can go to rock up on the pier which is also amazing
J. D.
Bournemouth has a lovely pier that has been well maintained and is fairly popular. The pier is a hive of activity and provides a focal point for the attractions, restaurants and ice cream places around its vicinity. Bournemouth and its surrounding area would be poorer for the lack of a pier. We'll worth a visit.
T.
Absolutely amazing beach ⛱️ one of the beat one with amazing stand. Everyone was friendly and welcoming no matter what race they are. Foods bit over priced
S. S.
Bournemouth Pier was lovely went over the weekend in July. Once you pay for entry once you have access all summer which is amazing as we will be coming back at the end of August.
They also have some rides, bars and restaurants for friends and families.
A. B.
Add to your list of attraction /destination for this summer on a sunny day. Lively beach, amazing views from the Pier, many indoor activities, restaurant, cafes, gift shop. Family friendly beach. Great outing for kids. Wide range of entertainment machines in Pier Amusement for all age groups. Big wheel on seafront adds to your summer fun. Large dustbins placed around which helps to keep the beach clean. Lovely golden sand and clear water on beach. Must visit.
M. F.
Lots to do and a lovely beach. It's well known however so it gets a little crowded when the sun comes out to play.
A. M.
Best beach I've been to so far in England. Absolutely brilliant beach to enjoy a day out with family. Kids loved it and so do the elders. We took a train from London Waterloo to Bournemouth which was a very good idea to go with the kids as there was no questions like "are we there yet?" as they were busy playing their cards and other games. The train journey was under 2 hours and quite enjoyable. From the train station, it was a 15 minutes walk to the sea front which was not bad. On the way back, we took bus from the sea front to the station. We thoroughly enjoyed the visit. Very highly recommended!
S. S.
Lovely having stroll along this pier on a sunny day 🌞even though it was a tad windy🙂. The beach looked lovely from the pier as seen in some of my photos. There's places to eat & drink on there & if you don't want either of those you could have an ice-cream or go into the Rock- shop & treat yourself or take some home for presents
Hope you all enjoy yourselves 🙂💖🙂
A. M.
Beautiful sandy beach, can get very busy when the weather is good. Lots of amenities such as toilets along the promenade with a good selection of cafes and pop up places to eat. You pay to go on the pier, not sure what the attraction is. If you walk along you come to a vunicula railway, a fun way to get to the top of the cliffs. There is lots of parking spaces but really easy to get to by train, about a 20minute walk from the station.
I. A.
Why go abroad when you can visit Bourne mouth???
And you definately gotta try Harry Ramsdens fish and chips. Totally amazing
A. B.
Had a meal in the bar and the take way pizzas n both were excellent. Service n staff were fab, polite, attentive n smiley.... Sue the manager runs a great ship 👍 hope to return soon
I. P.
Clean beach ,great for kids, park 2 minutes walk, car parks 1 min Highly recommend
N. K.
Friendly people, the beach has a Zipliner but to access it you need to pay to get on pier than additional charge for further activities, however l would visit again.
J.
Nice beach for the kids with plenty of rides for them and arcades for the older kids. I just think it lacks that extra excitement amongst older kids and adults. Gets very busy during the school holiday.
M. A.
Stunning view... toilets not very far. Best fishing spots, but slightly limited. Rides from skyline, boat, and children rides are amazing.
C.
Fantastic spot for photos.
You have to pay to walk inside the pier but the view of the bay is beautiful. There is even a zip line for the braves. The water around the pier is nice and clean.
It could get quite busy in the hot days.
Lovely location
K. Y.
Fantastic beach. Very sandy and good for all. Didn’t buy anything but parking was quite expensive. £4.40 for 2 hours and we parked closest to the beach.
During summer there is a charge to walk along the pier. Adult, £1.30 each and Junior 90p. Not too expensive but always a queue to pay.
S. M.
Love Bournemouth pier, and a picture of the fabulous Russel Coates museum from the pier. Visit both.
M. J.
Absolutely beautiful place and view! Sand is clean. Only dropped down 1 star because the prices for food and drink are horrendous. 2 child size boxes of fish and chips cost me 20 quid. That's without drinks lol. Bring your own food and your good to go 👍🏼 Wouldn't put me off going there at all.
D. B.
A great place to sit on a sunny day. Amazed at the hundreds of people not wearing masks to use the loos which are in an enclosed space..... Definitely worth a trip but look after yourself as clearly there are so many people who think they are invincible....
K. L.
Lovely well maintained pier, £1.30 per person but plenty of benches to sit and people watch. Adventure centre on the end with climbing wall and zip lines. Nice cade selling coffee and cocktails half way up. Perfect place to sit and relax.
N. U.
Lovely scenes at the beach, really had a great time…
P. L.
I really enjoy it.and had been changed a lot since I was last time.
R. R. R.
Beautiful sandy Beach, great food selection in town.. .. multi cultural 🥳😍🤩
p. g.
Beautiful beach. One of the best in the south of England. Lovely sandy beach. Its got shops, attractions, pier, toilet facilities and plenty of parking. Its a perfect beach for a lovely family time. It is of course a very busy beach and you would be better off coming here early to find a good spot.
K. B.
Great place to visit, beautiful scenery, beach is so clean. Lovely atmosphere (families, dog walkers, joggers etc).
Early birds be aware that lots of the places to eat don't open until 8:30 / 9ish. But the cafe opposite the wheel was open early, good coffee and cake.
Arcades on the pier (always a winner for the kids).
Such a hot spot for everyone so it does get busy.
V. S.
Nice place to visit and hang around a day in famous beach of UK. This pier serves a ferry trip for leasure.
This pier has a good restaurant in it. Overall good vibes💗👍
M. Ū.
Beautiful place and the beach ⛱ itself! In some ways it looks like it's not UK. Very: modern, unique, beautiful, and clean plus it have quite variety of attractions. It's like mini - Miami because of environment and some palm like trees :) highly recommending! My verdict - 9/10.
A. S.
Love Bournemouth Beach was able by take my rescue greyhound one the Beach for the 1st time and he loved it
L. S.
This place is beautiful without a doubt however on a sunny day it is very very crowded which is not for everyone. There are nicer beaches nearby which are much quieter. However if you enjoy crowded places with plenty of shops and cafes then this is the pace. There are new bars right on the beach which is a nice new addition to the area.
h. t.
I love there . Always attractive. The best way to get fresh ocean air. I’ve been there in summer and winter season. In summer time you can enjoy your swimming and sunny day, in winter time also there are many people on the beach. You can have a meal on top of the pier and enjoy ocean view. I think it’s better to live Bournemouth than London
H.
Bournemouth beach was amazing. Felt like I was literally in another country and at the time the weather was blazing. Would definitely recommend you to visit if you haven't been.
E. F.
Nice place, lots to see and do. Really enjoyed my time there.
S. P.
Was pretty good. Not too busy and clean. Parking was OK, on the beach road. Not too bad price. £6 for 4 hours.
Gift shops have your pants down, they double take and pause before they tell you the price...
J. d. F.
Always lovely! (Yes, just added more photos of this place, I don't think there's any need to explain why!)
A. A.
From firework shows to raves at the end of the pier there is always cool events to look out for and the beach/views around are stunning.
Can get a bit packed during peak summer times, but that's just because it's so good everyone wants to enjoy it!
B. “. S.
Sandy beach, very good for family with children, i think probably the best beach on the south .
K. S.
No longer free which is a shame. There is now a cost to visit the pier, that's on top of any cost you would incur in the shops etc. The views f on here are good though. Also the costs of rides for kids is high, they no longer do wristbands!
A. I.
Wonderful beach, lots to do, plenty to see
V. v. d. L.
Great place to visit. Lovely weather enough activities on and around the pier
M. S.
Great place in Great Britain
I like everything here but it should has a lot of 🚾 especially when you’ve been there with a family.
L. J.
Tickets are fairly price, they take you on half and hour tour around the beach. There is a commentary explaining local history of the place. The boat also has a mini bar inside, so you can grab yourself some refreshments. Staff are helful and professional. Lovely experience.
S. A.
Lovely area. Walked down the beach stopped for a drink . Beautiful views .
M. D. (.
A very nice place to relax with the family, a small problem with parking lots. coffee, ice cream, fries, everything is there
F. P.
Came here for the firework display. Was a great evening listening and dancing to the music on the beach from the beachclub. Plenty to do as there were fair rides and plenty of food to choose from.
P. A.
I'm happy to pay the £1.30 toll charge if it means a long term future for the pier however not many people on it today despite there being plenty of people around on the hottest day of the year, around 30°c
P. M.
This is a lovely place in Bournemouth. In summer time this place is lively with beautiful beach and some of the restaurants and bar. We went there in summer and spent some time. There are some street food stall near this. Public toilets are clean and just beside the pier. Dustbins are also there to keep the area clean.
R. P.
Something to do for everyone, from the gorgeous Russell Coates museum to boat rides, big wheel, bus trips, you cannot be bored! Fabulous beaches!
O. M.
A nice place with quite a lot of people this sunny summer day. Good swimming in the sea. Different entertainment in the square and on the pier it self.
T. (.
This Thursday to Saturday there will be an air show on the beach. Fridays during the school holidays they usually have fireworks from Bournemouth Pier in the evening at 10pm I think. Boscombe beach is the place to go if your with elderly relatives, everything is close by. Highly reccomend( check out the pictures). However two week ago there was a shark sighting in the water!! Thankfully to our knowledge, no one was harmed and the beach was closed until considered safe.
S. 7.
Stunning place to watch the sunset 🌅 and relax seeing the waves.
L. P.
East Cliff is better than the West one and definitely better than Poole as the latter is often too overcrowded.
Beautiful sand, good services (albeit the ladies' toilets aren't looked after properly and are utterly disgusting, not mentioning a mile-long queue).
Other than that thoroughly recommend.
S.
Great sandy beach with things to do. Ice creams and drinks available. RNLI watching over everyone, perfect for a fun day out
X. A.
Even in chilli winter days you will like the serendipity of this place..
W. P. C.
Lovely sandy beach , weather was perfect , water was freezing but clean and pleasant as was the seafront , pier was an experience and would like to go back to try out the zip line!!
L. K.
Bournemouth Pier has a minimal entrance fee that lasts the summer season. It is a great pier as it gives you views on each side of the beach promenade. It has a zip line ride at the end...as well as a magic carpet ride. The Bournemouth pier is an icon on the Bournemouth beach and Bournemouth would not be the same without it. Take your time and enjoy a meal or refreshments at the end of the pier...or just sit on one of the many benches and enjoy the views.
R. D.
Was very nice went at night time got lovely pics but unfortunately my electric wheelchair can't go on the beach need a tracked chair but unfortunately can't afford it ♿🏖️🤔😢
A. R.
Nice beach. Long and has a three piers as well a few places to go like museum and sea life centre. It's got a tour bus and it has a good seaside feel with bikes, huts bars and the sea😂. Not alot else to do thou but didn't go to far away from the beach.
T. B.
Very nice place but very busy. Looks amazing when the sun is shining but sick of lazy filthy people leaving all their rubbish on the beach when there's massive bins all the way down the prom. They just ruin it for everyone.
C. C.
Always amazing to visit with the family a lot of things to see and do.
W.
Bournemouth is a beautiful place, the sand is lovely and the amenities are brilliant. Everything is within walking distance including the car park. The gardens are gorgeous too with a pretty lake, pretty plants and trees and tasty food huts.
B. K.
What can I say.
Overall, not bad, hygiene of the bins ,disgusting.
Toilets have no soap at all, didn't see any cleaners over two days.
No security on beach doing walkabouts, and too many people doing social drugs.
With some better management would be alot nicer.
S. S.
Nice experience and lot's of activities 👍
J. V.
Great place to visit. Note there is a charge to go onto the pier, tickets can be bought at the front. Also note you need to buy tokens to allow kids on the rides. Tickets can be bought once you get on the pier bit pricey though!
E. L.
First time to Bournemouth . It had a really lovely park in the centre of town where the shops are . I was particularly impressed with this park , it was very well kept and buzzing with activity . The gardens are very well kept. We just went to the entrance of the pier but crossed over to eat . The beach was lovely .
C. “. H.
The beach was absolutely fabulous with it's soft pure sand and clean atmosphere. On my visit it wasn't too crowded and was a great experience for my family and friends to have a great day out. Have plans to return to try out the zip wire and other activities.
I. P. H. L.
Just lovely to have a meal or a coffee on a sunny September morning. Watching people zipping past on the zip-wire or slide down the helter skelter. Younger children can enjoy the carousel with the sea glinting in the background.
Great location for Instagrammers and Tiktokkers.
Entry to the pier costs £1.30 per adult.
A. W.
Had dinner and drinks on the end of the pier brilliant
N. F.
Recently changed ownership, and the new owner was very welcoming 😊
She offered for us to sample the cake before deciding which to have. That was something that isn't readily available in many places. Coffee and cake were delicious, and we will certainly return when next in Bournemouth, good luck with the new venture !!
A. C.
Definitely the most beautiful beach to go to on the south coast. Lovely golden sands and turquoise water. Good amenities, lots of options to eat and drink, as well as entertainment. Located near the town centre.
L. N.
Visited the upside down house with the family. Great experience. Staff very friendly and helpful.
m. m.
Very nice pier and a chance to escape the crowds on the beach and capture photos of the stunning view. Downside was that not very many seats along the pier so no chance to sit and admire the view for longer or rest after a long walk down the beach
E. H.
Nice and relaxing stroll along the beach in evening was amazing
N. R.
Really like this pier overall especially when going on our boat trip. Arcades are good and the stroll + kids rides and view of the sea but in my opinion avoid spending money and time in that key west pier restaurant as it’s absolutely awful. Cheap food, cheap settings and costly menu and they are a rip of with their cocktails. Apart from them the pier is nice but they spoil it.
M. A.
Amazing beach , pity wasn't very sunny, but beautiful beach.
I recommend to everyone water was nice and warm, felt like Europe.
S. M.
Ticket we bought valid for one year, so can go back any time for free. Definitely value for money. Enjoyed watching ZIP wire riders from tower on the pier to the beach
R. H.
Not quite sure I understand the racket that the council have going on here. So I can pay to get in the pier, then obviously pay again for doing whatever I've gone on the pier to do? I mean don't get me wrong, there's plenty of decent stuff to keep the kids entertained, and it's not going to break the bank, but what's the point in charges?
K. W.
Lovely walk along the pier and relaxing.
J. P.
Bournemouth pier was the place to be on a Friday night. The vibes were off the charts and there were people of all ages and cultures enjoying what the pier had to offer. The view of the pier from the path above was unmatched while the sky was getting dark.
A. A.
Sandy beach close to the city. Everything is within a walking distance from you. From restaurants to ice creams etc.
The Pier itself is well taken care off, has many adult and kids games and many small shops.
Overall Bournemouth is beautiful and a must visit location!
c. “. w.
Pier was nice. But you get charged to walk up and there is nothing at the top apart from an extortionate cafe and some kids rides?
Why you should pay for the pleasure of strolling up there its beyond me.
Poor at the very best.
N. P.
Always enjoy it there on nice day.
S. J.
It is the first time we have paid to go on the pier, £1.80 I think we paid each, very good value as it is valid for 12 months. Not a lot on the pier but a lovely place to stoll. The fair ground rides seemed very expensive, £30 for 12 tokens!!! There was no one on any of the rides. The restaurant at the end of the pier was very, very expensive.
T. “. F. G.
Absolutely 💯 love this 🌊 Seaside ⛱️ 🌞 much better beach compared to Brighton and love the Nostalgic feeling I get everytime I go!
The Seafront shops assistants 😍 are very warm and friendly too!
Can't wait to go again next year 😌 🤗
B. A.
Sandy beach packed fresh breeze lifeguards on duty and alert saw fresh drinking water station good trip but toilet most disgusting oh my god
T. P.
Nice place, clean, a couple of pounds to enter, but this is for the upkeep which I don't mind. Not a great deal to do here though.
S. D.
Love the sea side, so calm and so beautiful. We visited the pier on a Friday evening and didn’t have to pay any charges to visit the pier. The pier was not crowded at all and we had a few cocktails at the restaurant located on the Pier.
S.
Just like GTA 😂 jokes aside wonderful place deffo worth it
A. B.
Love this place everytime I visit. Good prices for food and drink. Lots of attractions for kids. Beautiful, sandy beach. Good toilet availability.
C. G.
Wow, what can I say, the highlight of the day was our boat trip on the Dorset Belle, where we had the privilege of seeing dolphins who were with us for majority of the tour around Bournemouth Bay, absolutely amazing day... I would recommend this trip on Dorset Belle to all that travel to Bournemouth. Big shout out to the captain, and his crew, fantastic set of people..
K. D.
Lovely family time in Bournemouth with Diamond Accommodation !
Z. E.
Spent the day at the beach.. It is lovely there.. We did the boat ride.... Tht was nice.. Kids enjoyed it... But food was a bit of a rip off.. £21 for 2 small portions of fish and chips..
L. G.
Fine sand, cristal water and a lot of people
J. P.
It's OK. It's a pretty short pier and you have to pay to get on, it has an equally small arcade on the front, but very good machines, especially a couple grabber machines that let you keep playing until you win! Mario Kart DX is always fun to play as well.
E. I.
Lovely beach to hangout in.
Great atmosphere
P. -. A. A.
I think this is the best beach in England. There are some nice beaches in Devon and Cornwall but this is very long and nice. Local food and restaurant however can be improved.
C. 4.
So beautiful out of all places I've been to this one is the best, the nature, city and if you're lucky with the weather it feels like your in a different country if you thinking of coming definitely, you won't regret it
L. S.
Nice beach, but crowded.
b. h.
Clean, sandy and so sunny. The Prom cafe is great for breakfast or lunch.
W. R.
A bit tired, rides are old, but it's nostalgia if you remember childhood seaside trips. Needs payment to get in unless you've a booking at an attraction, so I'd hoped that they'd have gotten enough to freshen it up a bit. There are only few things to do and one sweet shop, one arcade games place, a small fairground with a few kids rides, and Key West Bar and Rock Reef climbing.
A. D.
The pier is free, the beach is the best, but the parkings are full most of the times especially during the weekend, do not park on double yellow line, even if someone is parked, the fine is 35 bugs. Also the parking s are a bit expensive!
s. p.
A lively as well as lovely place! The pier is a bit less crowded as compared to the Brighton pier and maybe that's the beauty of it!
Also, Sandy beach ⛱️
u. s.
Surprisingly the beach around the pier was clean, not cluttered up with the usual 5h1t and rubbish left behind by these filthy animals that visit our beautiful coast and treat it like an open landfill. Only 2 sets of creatures seen camping on the beach overnight too, local council which are highly paid, typically do nothing about this, when dictator this will rapidly change.
K. C.
I love Bournemouth! Gorgeous beaches streching across 7 miles. Plenty of restaurants and cafes around the beach and very picturesque city centre few minutes walk away from the pier. Plenty of places to go and explore and only couple of hours away from London. Highly recommend!
k. s.
Beautiful place to visit. Beach was mainly clean. Lifeguards were present amd pm the ball. Plenty of food places to eat. Music on the beach. Could have been on hotter shores
O. H.
Was generally quiet - warm but breezy. Beach rangers were helpful
m. e.
Always brings a smile to my face visiting Bournemouth.👍👍👍😊😊😊
M. P.
We love Bournemouth Pier - got married in Key West there 5 years ago would definitely recommend it as a venue. Also just for a fun afternoon or evening, lovely outside and inside areas and a deal on cocktails! Looking forward to going to one of their theme evenings! Also a new heter skelter which is fun and the zip wire is very cool.
S. F.
Loved it and kids loved the wheel also.
T. M.
Plenty of sandy beach to fit everyone in, even on a bank holiday. Bournemouth seafront is beautiful and very well looked after. All of the facilities are bunched at the piers either end though so you get a very different beach day depending on whether you get a space in the undercliffe car park or not. In the undercliffe car park you can park right on the seafront so no lugging of beach bags and access to cafes and much cleaner toilets. All the other car parks are a very long way uphill from the beach. The main pier was too packed when it rained to get in the door so you need a sunny day to enjoy it at its best.
S. I.
We parked at Boscombe beach it was just over £6 for four hours. Lovely beach. Walked into Bournemouth it was very busy. We had a walk around then a walk in the park.
S. S.
Nice, Clean, vibrant and fun place for everyone. All types of shops around, toilets and lots of parking but it's a struggle to find parking space on sunny days. When I think of quality family time at beach, I think of amazing Bournemouth beach.
S. S.
Brilliant sandy beach. Can do bbq after 6pm. Parking available nearby though rather expensive during summer months. Fish and chips shops on site. Plenty of toilets and an outdoor shower hose too.
S. N.
Lovely beach to visit an stay in uk
M. o. t. r.
Really dirty beach and full of sunburnt chavs eating chips!
I remember visiting years ago and it was much nicer, but it now appears to be a typical seaside resort, with tacky shops and amusements.
It has the potential to have some lovely cocktail bars and Al fresco dining on the beach, which would make it a much classier place. All just looks a bit run down at the moment.
I notice other people have reviewed that it is a clean beach. I'm guessing when I went in the summer it was the worst time to visit, so maybe worth a visit when it's not so busy.
L. S.
Key tourist destination. Dog friendly on places. We went on the big when with the kids and the dog!
N. S.
One of the best beaches in the country. Fine golden sands. However you have to pay to go on pier about 10£ which is not worth it considering not much there
M. T.
Lovely pier to walk down on an amazing beach. Very clean. Zip wire ride to the beach from the pier for those brave enough.
T. D.
Nice place. The rides were also enjoyable, kids really enjoy them. Many shops around to grab a bite or ice cream.
M. s.
Very scenic definitely be amazing in the summer lol
V. V.
There is a small fee to enter the pier. £1.50ish
S. K.
Amazing beach ⛱️ ♥️ multiple food, fish and chips
L. P.
Excellent place for an off day. The beautiful site of surfers riding against the wave while munching the delightful chippy from Harry Ramsden's is what one would need in their off day.
S. M.
One of the best places to enjoy the beauty of English Channel. Summer is the best time for kids, they have got amusement rides on the Pier.
B. S.
We took at trip to Bournemouth on Friday, it was very clean even though it was the busy jubilee weekend, the weather was amazing, the pier had some fun rides for the kids and the small fee was worth paying
A. M.
Amazing place, sandy beach.
Beach huts are available for rent. Amusement park for adults and kids.
The water was quite cold though.
S. S.
Brilliant place to walk and plenty to do.
Ziplining available at £20 pp.
There's also a fireworks display at 10 at night on Fridays during the summer.
K. A.
Such a lovely beach. Got the early and grabbed a great spot. Laid in the sun for 8 hours! Lots of places to get food around the beach
T. C.
Sat and had a few beers on the pier this weekend in the sunshine and was a lovely afternoon. 2 of my mates did the zipline and even though a little pricey they loved it and would of happily done it again.
I. E. O.
The best beach ⛱️ in UK
j. w.
Did not go on to the pier. Lovely area with sandy beach and a long promenade to walk or cycle along. Cafe and restaurants along the way too. Plenty of toilets and parking.
A. M.
Touristy pier, with views out into the ocean and back onto the shore. There's also a restaurant at the end of the pier where you can enjoy the view over food and drink, as well as some other vendors. It's a pleasant spot to stroll along on a sunny day if its not too crowded.
T. P.
For some reason you will have to pay for expensive parking all around plus entry fee on pier £1.3 per adult. Nice views to Bournemouth beach
J. P.
It was OK very very OVERPRICED! I mean 3 tokens for 9 pound was terrible, defo overpriced. Just wasn't for us :(
R.
Loved the Restaurant at the end of the pier! Lovely cocktails and food, decent prices and staff very attentive. Restaurant and toilets very clean!
P.
A decent local place to hangout and chill
A. K.
One of the best beach if you go to the right side of the pier and there are staircases and the water is shallow and you can go upto 100 to 200 ft without even feeling water above waist and it perfect for enjoying the water
T. C.
Very nice sandy beach. A lot of attraction here as well. You can swim, you can visit aquarium, you can have a ride on the wheel or just go for a walk around the city.
B. G.
Awesome day out if you want beach sand, we loved it. Catered self though. Beach had shards of glass so be vigilant with kiddies.
Pricy at the shops. Rather pack picknic and take your own beverages.
Toilets floor disgusting don't go in there without footwear.
B. S.
My favourite place,nice people,kids,dogs😍
N. K.
It's been now more than 6 months that I am staying there and I never get bored of the view. Lots of activities to do during summer time. Clean beach 🏖
P. J.
Paid £1.40 to get on Pier worth the money, great for the kids, has a Zip Wire at the end of the Pier and has a nice cafe, you can also get boat trip from Pier.
A. M.
Day time is very busy but evening walk on the beach and view in clear sky was amazing. A lot of activities to do for kids and adults both.
D. S.
Beautifull place, lovely beach and waves keep coming throughout the day. Shame on how expensive it is compared ro cornwall who's beaches this doesn't even come close to. £20 was just for parking, you can make up the rest.
N. K.
Clean and fresh water with crisp sandy beach that has lots of space, fresh air and cleanliness in the beach. It feels relaxed to sit down. Plenty of caravan shops on the beach selling spicy nachos, ice creams, doughnuts and drinks.
H. S.
Very good to be here with family & kids. Various joy rides for kids. Good restaurants and a fantastic view of sea & land.
P. L.
Liked it but brief visit as it was very windy!
c. k.
As you would expect a pier. Plenty of amusements and great views. You have to pay in the day to get on. £1.40. But later is free.
A. B.
We didn't visit Pier but spend lovely time at the beach finally sandy beach ⛱️
S. S.
You can enjoy more on non-peak days if you don't like crowd. Otherwise it's a sandy Beach and my recent visit it was Housefull.
K. V.
This beach is one of the cleanest I have seen in the uk!! Excellent parking prices on the pier. Lots of nice huts with tasty treats. Water was clear!! Definitely recommend for families 👪
S. H.
There's not a lot to Bournemouth pier at the moment, but the pier is free during the winter and you can't visit Bournemouth beach without a stroll up and down the pier.
It's a refreshing walk and there are wonderful views, east towards Christchurch and the Isle of Wight and west towards the Purbecks.
When you do have to pay to go on to the pier, it's only just over £1 - keep your ticket! It's valid to revisit as often as you like for the rest of the year!!
S. E.
We had a Day trip yesterday, from All over different parts of Wales, With a coach company called Brent Thomas Coaches ltd very nice day, plenty places to eat, kept nice and clean, gardens all kept nice and tidy
A. D.
Amazing place, surprised you had to pay to go on the pier but worth the £1.20 to have a walk up an take photos.
K. K.
Lovely day out at the beach with family, food and toilets very close by which was great, plenty of activities to keep children occupied only downsize was people leaving rubbish behind on the sand instead of walking up to the bins which were located everywhere.
B. M.
Beautiful gardens. Boat rides are still open. But on the pier, there's just the bar. The beach is awesome.
T. F.
Had a lovely day! Staff were incredibly helpful and informative, would highly recommend
D. L.
Great family day out. We took a picnic with us and saved a fortune ,sandy beach. Highly recommended
D. M.
Lovely day out in the sun with the family ☀️
S. I.
It may be the current times with COVID-19 that's affecting the atmosphere at the pier. Would have preferred to visit when it was buzzing and the shops were open. The beach was nice but apart from that there was nothing interesting to see here..
S. V.
Great place to go with family of friends for a drink. Not so crowded and the beach is nice and do is the water
P. C.
It was an amazing experience and a great place. We love Bournemouth a lot and it's our favourite beach..
N. a. z.
Bournemouth beach one of the cleanest and beautiful beach in the #uk.This place is based near town centre and best place for chill out there. Many activities you can see there . Like surfing , photography , running , barbaque ,fishing , pole exercise etc.
Apart from that it connect to #boscombe pier as well .So This is best way to walk and start from Bournemouth square to Boscombe pier. You can a fancy walk and chitchat with your patner .
There are many colourful beach houses , you may consider as selfie point.Best time to visit #bournemouthbeach is #summer.
S.
The atmosphere, shops and things to do are great. Think the toll on the pier was ridiculous. Wasn't prepared to pay just to walk on a pier.
A. B.
Fantastic classic old pier surrounded by a gorgeous sandy beach. Such a popular place
H. B.
Nice walk along the pier. Cost £1.30 per adult and 90p for over 5s, under 5s free. Rides at the end of pier were expensive £2.50 per ride or 5 for £10. Had some lunch in the cafe at the end and thanks to 'eat out to help out' it was quite good value.
J. G.
Beautiful beach amazing arcade me and my dad both won baby yoda toy and the water is beautiful, very soft sand.
A. K.
First time at Bournemouth - Beautiful beach, clean, tidy and plenty of toilets. Highly recommend taking food with you as shops are very expensive. Still had a good day out, dog enjoyed herself too 😊
l. d.
Lovely views of bournemouth and boscombe. Can see over to the isle of wright. We visited in the evenkng so childrens activities were shut but the pub was bustling and looked lovely but didnt stop. Was surprised to read that before 6pm you have to pay to walk along the pier. Personally wouldnt of thought it was worth it and would just visit boscombe puer instead but i suppose it is put to the upkeep. There is a zip line taking you to the beach which my son wanted to do but was shut. Costs £20 which i also thought was expensive so pleased it was shut. Nice to see as was in the area, but wont rush to go again.
P. S.
Wonderful place to enjoy the Summer holidays
D. W.
It's free after 6pm. Lovely views from end café. Climbing wall is great for kids.
R. P.
Very beautiful place for sunny summer in UK. Lots of fun at Bournemouth Pier with friend and family. Very long sea side and safe for children as well. Children can play wet send as well. It really fun of the life over there.
S. I.
Had a good experience there great walk along the beach and stunning views. The place was full people.
S. F.
A great place to spend an hour or two. Only £1.30 per adult. There's a boat trip that leaves the pier for a trip around the bay which was very enjoyable.
D. D.
Great day out for family.
S. M.
I absolutely had a wonderful time at this beach when it was nice and sunny. My first experience with sandy beaches in the UK. Amazing food stalls, not very expensive either. I had a Mexican burrito. My friends had fish and chips and they were average. Lots of fun activities to keep that young ones busy. There are rides for the kids such as small cars, trampolines etc, as well as Zipline. It was my first experience with it, scary at first, but fun later. The Zipline lasts only a few seconds. It's £20 per person, but £17.5 if two are together, even cheaper as a group.
M. E.
A lovely place during a good weather. I would recommend everyone no matter what age they are to go there. There are several cafes, restaurants and ice cream shops. There are also amusement facilities for everyone to have a good time. The beach is so beautiful and I promise you an enjoyable experience there.
F. N.
Even tho most is closed along here the views you get are wonderful. The pier is maintained well and very clean.
j. U.
Perfect place for new visitors, kids play area , ice creams and coffees and of course a nice sea view
D. K.
Great family fun!!
n. r.
Amazing place there's an activity place on it as well as a zip line that goes from the pier to shore however when my son said the pole was wobbling I did want him to get off.
T. K.
A good place for summer day out, plenty options for kids and family. Good sea view
F. O. F.
Great place. Although I visited during the pandemic alert, it was very busy. Managed to snap some nice shots from both sides. I will return to this place that's for sure
J. C.
Tbf the weather wasn't great but the sand on your feet, well that is something special.... It made me feel on actual holiday!
S. B.
A wonderful location with many things to do. Very highly recommended to any seaside lovers ❤
T. R.
It is really good for families to have fun in. No joke. Just make sure you are not too far out in the ocean.
D. T.
Entrance is reasonably acceptably priced. Pier itself is quite expensive. Worth doing and loved it.
P. R.
It's a fantastic place to experience ocean breeze and sunset along with food and wine in the restaurant there. The restaurant also offers a wide range of cocktails and cocktails to make your evening fabulous. If you have kids a lot of amusement activities are there even more adults can experience zip line from the tower to the beach. It is short but you may never know your adventure sport career start from it leading to bungy jump one day😆. But it's really a good experience. It has docs on both sides where people can do fishing as well. It's a good photography spot and has toilets too.
N. R. F.
We loved it .it was a beautiful sunny day fish and chips followed by ice creams Bournemouth one of my favourite places 😋
M. L.
We parked in Chineside which was less crowded & over commercialised than Bournemouth pier area. Parking charges were a bit steep (£5 for 3 hrs). Its got 2 restaurants opposite one another at the end of the carpark (Harvester & Chineside)..having been in both they do serve excellent food..
A. K.
The beach is perfectly kept as ever. The pier makes for a great sunset shot if you're into photography. Otherwise just get here early for some wonderful peaceful time.
m. b.
Had a lovely walk back from a game of golf with the wife, (which I beat her, for once!) plenty of spots for a bite to eat, and drink. Wasn't to busy, and beach was lovely and clean! Sometimes parking is a bit fiddly to find but today was very! Went for 6 hours cost £10.20 can only pay by card! Masks needed for shops etc, but a great day out! 🍻
W. m.
Nice, had good fun.
S. E.
Beautiful pier, wasn't sure if I liked having to pay to go on but it was cheap and season long
M. B.
Clean, well maintained with seats available to take in the view along the pier. A few children's rides at the far end and the usual arcade at the entrance
s. s.
Cool place, definitely worth to have a look, we spend there a lovely time.
Highly recommended to all !
J. E.
Me and my kids and my friend and her family all went down to the beach for the whole afternoon and the kids loved it, splashing in the water, building sandcastles, it's definitely worth coming here
L. B. M.
Fantastic seaside pier that boasts the longest zipline on a pier in the UK - well worth a go if you like to participate in something a bit different! Great Wall climbing facility on site. A great pier with excellent coastal views. Very helpful and professional staff. The food in the pier restaurant was simply amazing! Well worth visiting!
M. P.
If your going to Bournemouth [BEACH] you can't miss it... there is a toll charge which I guess makes it not worth it....there's not much today on the pier itself.
J. G.
Nice beach, kids friendly.. best for evening walk along the shore.
G. M.
A lovely thing go do at the seaside and I'm pleased to see they have started running boat trips from the pier again.
A.
A lovely walk. Get the sea air.
The sun was shining when I visited.
I got a boat ride around the bay. Beautiful.
A good place for kids, rides at the bottom.
t. l. d.
Lots of fun and things to do
L. L.
Beautiful place to walk down to during any weather, you'll sometimes catch the surfers catching the waves
E. C.
It looked lovely but we're not into amusement arcades so didnt pay to go on it
R. A.
Lovely walk to the end of the pier with a good view of the sandy beaches and the coast line. The pier --> beach zip-line is fun to watch and I'm guessing even better for the brave souls who do it 😁. There are other physical activities on the pier as well to keep kids entertained ... at a price. Nice cafe situated on the end of the pier too with glass screen to keep any sea breeze away if you sit outside. Well worth the walk and a pause to admire.
J. C.
It was a beautiful day. The weather was perfect for walking the dog. We did not walk on the pier itself, wasn't sure we could walk with the dog.
D. r.
Bournemouth is such a wonderful place to stay. The pier is very relaxing and such a beautiful place to unwind. Plenty to do from young to old.
The locals are friendly and you may just get to see some surfing.
Lovely see views from premier in Central if you are looking for somewhere to stay.
M. P.
Ideal place to visit, take in the sites, enjoy a meal and a few arcade machines or take in a show. The is also a Zip wire from end of the pier to beach @£18 i think.
О. К. Б.
Very nice place 👍
C. H.
Not a bad place to visit. However there is not much to do on the pier really. Strange location for an indoor climbing centre. Bars looked nice and there was a few rides for kids at the end of the pier.
M. K.
Really good day out on the beach, a bit apprehensive about the weather..but it was a nice and comfortable day. Not overcrowded today.
H. M.
With award winning beaches surrounding you do have to pay to get on the pier during the day (It is free after 6pm). You have the amusements which has cafes, shops, toilets, and Aruba surrounding it. You can zip wire your way from the end of the pier to the beach, with a carousel and trampolines at the bottom of the pier there's plenty to do. You also have the rock n climb which looks amazing and great prices. We have the cafe /bar which has indoor and outdoor seating, more of an adult place towards the evening. Fishing is also a big hit on this pier.
P. N.
Lovely sandy beach
A. P.
Next best to being abroad. Lovely long stretch of the beach for walks and plenty of places to eat.
A. K.
My favourite therapy and go to place for peace and meditation. The pier is clean and the street food is very very good.
D. F.
Stroll along the pier, have a go on the zip wire, or just watch it from the pier or the beach.
Entertainment arcade, places to eat and drink, and shops for beach stuff or souvenirs.
Really great if the sun is shining, and if not, the sea-life centre next door is great too!
S. B.
Gorgeous beach with plenty to do for all ages. Definitely coming back!
P. A.
Not the best pier in the world but not the worst, decent family restaurant and a zip wire to the beach if that interests you.
M. G.
Best to visit on Sunday day. We visited on a rainy day, couldn’t enjoy much. The pier has got amazing games for children and adults of course.
M. R.
Definetly worth the trip, family friendly and overall good day trip.
S. T.
A lovely area to walk around. And the views are beautiful!
K. M.
Excellent place to walk about.
You do have to pay to go on it. £1.30 per adult.
K.
You can enjoy beach , small casino is there to play , mainly good place for kids, they can play in casino and beach
J. H.
The August Friday night fireworks are fantastic, such a Great atmosphere there too.
d. m.
My child enjoyed the activities at Rock Reef and pre-booking is recommended. Zipline is an amazing experience with a nice cafe inside. Right now entry to the pier is free and can go walking to have a nice sunset and to capture some photos.
A. C.
Bournmouth air show today. Amazing day . Lovely hot weather. Plenty of hand sanitizer stations around and toliets. We all had a loveley day
C. T. L.
Good to visit in the night because you can see the moon shadow in the water. Also the lights of the city.
Good place to walk in the night.
During the day very crowded and expensive and was too much for me.
The parties are very expensive there.. One of them £200 entrance just because someone was there.
A. N.
Love it definitely going again, been twice and I still love it , good time with family, the sand is clean so you can enjoy walking on it xx
A. S.
Wow what a wonderful place. It's my first visit to the place.. clean water beautiful sand and nice weather made it a perfect combination. Great place to visit.
D. G.
Decent selection or coin pushers, claw machines and the latest arcade cabinets.
However a toll to get on to the pier is unnecessarily expensive!
B. R.
Absolutely fab place , it felt like we was in Australia with the blue water and white sandy beaches
We love bourmouth beach :)
T. O.
Your classic UK pier surrounded by sandy beaches.
You do have to pay to get on the pier during the day, but the fee is reasonable.
Everything you would expect from a pier, and it's kept in good shape.
C. B.
A lovely pier with some fantastic views over the beach and surrounding coastline.
D. P.
There is a big queue to go inside the pier. Once in, do not see any particular Covid restrictions. We felt it’s not safe at the moment to go in. Note - you’ll have to pay to get in and it’s not that big or interesting (compared to Brighton pier).
M. C.
It was a great day out perfect for the whole family. Kids loved it they want to go back.
N. R.
It's an enjoyable family oriented place with all the usual amenities one would expect to see on a pier.
A. R.
Nice 👍 but it could be more organized and clean, and could have some sunbeds or chairs to rent
A. I.
It looks nice and the view from it is great. But have to pay to enter a site where you are supposed to spend money (those several attractions there) is a rip off. There is a lot to do in Bournemouth to not bother with this pierce at all.
The advise it too lift off the entrance fee and just let people to support it through buying goods and attractions.
S. O.
Probably the best preserved pier in England. Of course the pristine beaches all around make it so popular. If you are ever in the South of England then this is a must place to visit. Harry Ramsden's famous fish and chips are just along the beach front next to the pier.
R. F.
Its just a normal pier, nothing special. Barely any rides. Does provide a nice view.
Ridiculous pay to enter policy of something like 20p, we had to go hunt for a cash machine and then re-queue all over again just because we didn't carry change. We then did the zip slide from the end if the pier to the beach but that was expensive, somewhere in the region of £50 for 4 of us and it honestly took longer to get the harness' on than it did to ride the entire slide. Furthermore I really wanted to capture my daughters with my camera whilst they did the slide too but I had to wait on the stairs until they were long past my camera range, so no didnt get the pics which was disappointing. Its mediocre all in all. The zip is good just over priced. We did not do the rock climbing wall it didn't look that good.
Z. C.
Pier is OK, but the beach under was a rubbish pitt in the evening! Toilets were revolting by 6pm!!! Yes, all cleaned by the morning, but avoid late afternoon at all costs
B. D.
Visiting a friend in Bournemouth so took a walk along the beach & onto the pier. Was lovely as few people around so took photos & admired the view. There is a restaurant on the pier that was open for breakfast so went in for a cuppa. Lovely way to spend a sunny January morning.
C. M.
Nice beach, to bad the water was cold
D. B.
Impressed with this place on a bad weather, so definitely want to return on a nice sunny day.
Nice to watch the 🏄♂️ as well.
P.
Always part of our trip when we visit Bournemouth, whatever the weather. We love the cafe, which does a great breakfast, as well as the wonderful amusements. Fun for all the family and has been for years.
s. c.
It's just what a pier should be, if your here for a Friday the fireworks are amazing!
J. Y.
I love to come here for a walk. Very beautiful view of coast line and Bournemouth gardens and the city.
W.
What a beautiful beach, enough room for everyone. Very clean, tidy and golden sands.
M. B.
Lovely in the evening when it's not too busy. Worth a visit! I would advoid peek times and it can be very over crowded and when that happens the normal is to be expected, overflowing bins. Messy toilets and loud. But go when it's quiet and your have a great time
I. F.
In comparison to Southport, Llandudno and Brighton this pier is bit mediocre. It was after 17.00 so I didn't have to pay to stroll along it but if I did - I wouldn't. H and I took a final stroll down to the pier on Friday at 11.00 and the booth was open. £1.20 per adult to walk along the pier! No wonder it was empty.
Still, it's a nice enough pier.
S. M. 3.
The best place ever to take a good breath and relax while seeing this beautiful view of the all bourmouth beaches wawwwwwwww
M. A.
Amazing food served on the beach. Spotlessly clean. Will be going back there. The pics I posted don't do the food justice, it was amazing.
C. K.
Amazing place, good weather is a must though
S. M.
Key West bar on the Pier is lovely and beautiful views. Great deals on cocktails. Lovely staff and prompt table service too
P. Z.
I didn't expect so beatifull place. Everything was perfect. Amazing place for holiday
D. M.
Not the biggest, the longest but definitely got to go on if in B'mouth, dead clean, kids play area at end, food there is nice (eaten several times pre/post pandemic). May go back in morning.
D. b.
Lovely place to stroll along and get a great view of the area along the coast line and back into the town. Did not use any facilities on the pier but looked like a good restaurant/bar on the pier with lots of people eating there
J. C.
Bournemouth Pier is awesome if the sun is shining, it can get quite busy, a great restaurant on the Pier, few amusement things for the kids to do and the view to the sea is awesome. There is a place available to do some fishing (you have to bring your own tackle) good walk in would say. There is a toll that need to be paid before you can go in but can be used over and over again if you want to come back. You can also catch a boat from the pier (tickets needs to be purchased beforehand). Recommended
K. K.
There's a large cafe on the pier with inside and outside seating. Glass panels protect you from any high winds and you can still get that amazing sea view!
N. R.
Nice pier and the zip line looks good, only draw back is, I was shocked to now find them charging you to even walk along the pier 🤦♂️
I. M.
Good family break. Zip pier and oceanarium was wonderful Part of our journey. Very exciting.

Beautiful pier, especially at sunset when it’s clear, good amusement arcade on the pier as well as a bar for adults!
As you go down you can also see people fishing and ta fascinating!
Lovely day for family’s!

Bournemouth has a lovely sandy beach. Good eateries close to the beech, with a lovely walk through. A man was sitting listening to his music & feeding the squirrels & they were coming up to him & eating out of his hands. Lovely to see 🤗

Our day trip to Bournemouth was amazing, we went as a group and we find our experience fantastic, people are very welcome, friendly and the atmosphere was excellent...we can't wait to visit again very soon..😇
I am also considering moving to Bournemouth 😆

I love Bournemouth. This lovely seaside town has many memorable moments from childhood to present.
The Christmas tree winter wonderland is an event not to be missed.
Thank you Bournemouth.

Lovely beach! Wasn't too crowded. Lovely weather even at 22 degrees the water was at the perfect temperature to swim in 😍😍😍
I. M.
I love the walk, the view, the "eye" outside....but most of all i love going inside to shoot some zombies ;)
J. S.
Nice pier but do you really have to charge £1.40 to go on! Surely you make the money back from the arcade etc. Seems petty to ask for it.
S. L.
Fortunately we visited on a day out of season so didn't have to pay to walk along the pier. I wouldn't have paid. Restaurant on pier very expensive...£15 for a salad is outrageous, in my opinion but if you've got the money to spare...
A. S.
Busy. Bustling. Family did the zip wire experience which they enjoyed.
K. B.
Paying for the pier, and then having to pay £20+ for a zip wire, £30 plus for a dual ride on the zipline! sod that why not scrap the toll and take a % off of the rides that last 10/15 seconds! we are not all flush and we dont realy like having our pants pulled down

One of the most beautiful sandy beaches . Miles of beautiful shoreline. The pier was lovely and very reminiscent of what a pier should look like.
S. F.
Was beautiful however lots of glass in the sand but generally clean
C. R. C.
A bit crowded but if you want to have a good time, golden sand and pretty clean sea that's the place you are looking for.
S. G. (. G.
It seemed fine, people were annoyed that you had to pay to get on to the pier but it covers you for a whole year which is pretty good
S. G.
Excellent experience! Blissful air!
A. S.
Great place for a day out, provided the weather is nice... can get busy but its expected considering thenlovely sandy beach.
J. B.
Lovely sandy beach easy access to public best time to come is durong the week as just few People aroud plenty of space not crowded at,all
S. P.
Bournemouth beach makes a perfect day out for us as a family. It's clean, well facilitated with washrooms and showers, the ice cream and hot doughnut stalls are a great treat! Parking is convenient and there are various lots with a variety of rates..pick what suits you. Activities along the pier include zip line, indoor rock climbing, oceanarium, etc for those who want something more than just the beach.
S. C.
Charges / toll prevents using the cafe! Lovely views but toll seems unnecessary.
i. k.
Do not recommend Bournemouth pier, you have to pay to go out onto it, every coastal pier i know in UK you do not pay, Bournemouth is the first ive seen this. If you want to spend money fair enough
R. A.
Nice for a long walk. Good views of the beaches and coastline. Bars etc if you want them. Usual seaside stuff at the front.
D. T.
Lovely weather for my first time ever Half marathon....
C. D.
Nice sand beach with all the facilities (car park, toilets, showers, shops) and some nice views...the kids are enjoying .
C. A.
Quite busy can hardly move inside pier but beach is great
C. N.
Excellent place to win toys on the grab machines
A. A.
Had a caffe at the end of the pier. Had to wait a bit longer. Caffe was avarage but there are nice views and fun park for kids which our daughter enjoyed a lot
M.
Great place to visit and enjoy the sea and the neighbouring cafés, restaurants and entertainment venue on the pier, kids love this place, it is my favourite location in terms of walking & cycling, be aware you can only cycle on the stretch of the beach between Bournemouth and boscomb pier, other than that of you want to cycle any where near the beach front of only allowed after 18:00 hours please check the signs for your safety and others
Bournemouth & boscome beaches are among the cleanest beaches in England
I forgot to mention that you can barbecue on the beach please check the signs for the regulation concerning the barbecue etc.
D. G.
Had a great time in Bournemouth and the sand was clean there was a few stones n shells overall best place to relax
D. J.
It’s a pier. You have to go there however £1.40 price is ok but there is nothing to it other than kids fun fair at the end. Oh and a zip wire ride back to the beach.
M. T.
Sat and had a drink in the bar at the pier end. Lovely location, excellent service and relatively quiet.
L. M.
Absolutely lovely beach, not alot open due to covid just coffee and icecreams... And the pier was open, so enjoyed a nice long walk to sand banks and got the open top bus back which was a bonus as I didn't want the hill bank to hotel lol so found out the open top bus stopped right outside our hotel BONUS... The hills will kill you lol.
C. B.
Great example of a traditional British Pier, the rides at the end of the Pier are well priced an ideal for little ones, great views out to sea.
R. A.
Daily ticket is £1.30 for adult, so you can come and go how many times you want. If you are not local you will enjoy walks and views couple of times per day, trust me :)
Pub/restaurant's sitting outside is open, but zip line was closed (20.4.)
Public toilets for free are spacious and clean.
s. g.
A big sandy beach with lots of fun activities for children of all ages but visitors are not keeping it clean even after having a big hoarding by the beach authorities requesting cleanliness.
Z. B.
Nice little pier, but not much going on other than the climbing centre, and death slide, but they're cool...
A. S.
Good clean and lot of activities to do around.
J. S.
About to close for refit until end of march 2022.
P. H.
Good walk along the pier with family, you can read about its history on the panels in the middle which is interesting, the bournemouth zip line starts from their!! A recommended walk what ever the weather!
S. M.
Absolutely stunning place !!
r. c.
Revamped the bar and much of the pier has had a lot of maintenance. Downside is having to pay to go on. But it's worth it for our heritage.
M. F. I.
The most beautiful place how you can see on my picture ❤️❤️❤️
W. S.
1 of the best seaside resorts iv been to in the UK.. am very Impressed
A. A.
Great place for a late cocktail and some fun with friends...
Sunset is the killer, beautiful view.

Bournemouth has it all
Clean sandy beach
Clean water
Great peirand activities
Great town

Get your Harry Ramsdens over the road and take it on the pier to eat it then visit Key West restaurant on the pier for a hot drink and cake.
One days admission on the pier lasts for the season.
G. C.
Nice pier very pricey for. A drink didn't have zero percentage alcohol drinks seem ideal place for birthday parties
D. S.
It’s a wonderful beach in England and very busy and attentive
C. F.
Nice place with a beautiful beach to have fun and enjoy out with the family. There are lots of activities for kids and adults.
N. M.
It was very hot and sunny, the water was kind of cold but in rest it was beatiful.
m. l.
Amazing beach and clear sea water for the kids to enjoy.
C. P.
Strangely enough you need £1.30 to enter but is guess that's ok as long as it keeps safe and clean.
S. H.
Hired a beach hut, it was lovely just sitting and chilling. Beaches very clean. Because so many amazing people keep it clean.
Unfortunately some people can't read the signs, no dogs on the sand !!!
Please, please clear your rubbish up after you, bins everywhere no excuses.
T. A.
50 years I have always loved Bournemouth but parking the car for the day is way to expensive now. Cant afford to have fun anymore!
J. D.
Nice, there is shade to sit in. There is somewhere to eat and drink that looked good, didn't go in so don't know if the food was good
M.
I love my Bournemouth Pier! One of my favourite places to Surf next to in the South when there is an infrequent decent swell! Lovely restaurant at the end of it to kick back and chillax watching the Sea. In my opinion one of the best Piers around.
Also a 'clip n climb', zip line and tunnels venue on the pier for the children called Rock Reef Bournemouth that I would fully recommend for children!
S. G.
Absolutely amazing place with nice beach. Highly recommended for everyone 🌴⛵🌊🤽😎🌞
G. D.
Greatest place of the city, should be better in spring and summer. Great combination of cultures.
Really sad that everything close to early.
P. H.
Not bad but needs more to do, no entertainment purposes here quite sad really, Weymouth and Brighton have amusements on the pier
R. G.
£1.40 entrance fee, apart from a view of the beach and a few kiddies rides not much to do,
A few places to eat and drink but these are pretty pricey
C. A.
Was very fun, many activities on the pier, and because of the charges which is not much, it wasn't over crowded like before.
L. C.
Great place to sit and have a few drinks, looking back at Bournemouth beach and the sunset🤗❤️
P. N.
A great asset for Bournemouth. A fantastic location to have something to eat at the end of the pier or just have a coffee on a sunny day, listening to the waves below.
Shame a charge per person is introduced in March but the pier does need maintenance, which is not cheap, but worth the cost for the town.
M. L.
Over priced kids rides at the end but great views nice for a selfie or 2 but hold on to your phone tight as gaps are big enough for a phone or wallet to fall through
L. B.
Have to pay to go down the pier...Nice cafe down there, a helter skelter and another amusement area that you also have to pay to go in. Nice views
M. M. P.
Very nice place to relax. Good fish and chips and some awesome views.
G. B.
Quite expensive rides for the children at £3 per token. Nothing really outstanding
T. J.
It was OK bad that you hav to pay for the pier the land train and red arrow simualtor is good land train is both sides and it goes into Boscombe as well
