R. F.Great walk through the dunes to Sker beach. Great for kids, rock climbing, lots of off lead dogs. Nice walk to the point, lifeguards close to one end. Nice long open beach even when tide is in.

D.Loved my experience here id had a long day and this place revived me such a peaceful evening had , i ran for 5 mile on the beach and around the dunes freely i took a book in a back pack and found a lovely spot to chill right by the sea in a little rocky cove at Sker point i went back down to watch sunset on top of a dune perfect 😍

D.Known locally and historically as Kenfig Sands. (Sker is the nearby point and house).
The beach is accessible from Rest Bay along the coastal path or more quickly through the myriad of paths through Kenfig National Nature Reserve.
It is very quiet and a long stretch of sandy beach bounded by a pebble bank and the dunes of the nature reserve. At one end its the life saving club huts and further along the Wreck of the MV Altmark. Afon Kenfig also flows through it, after which it becomes the Margam Sands up until the Steel Works boundary.
C. H.Lovely beach, accessible only by walking through Kenfig dunes or across the coastal path from Porthcawl for most people. The top half of the beach is steeply pebbled (I think as part of the dune control measures) the bottom half has the fine sand typical of other local beaches.
Good for surfing, rock hopping, nature watching, beach combing and seeking out the still just about visible evidence of various wrecks on the beach. Be careful near the NW end of the beach where the River Cynffig meets the sea. That’s about where the nudist friendly part of the beach starts. Can be jarring if you’re not expecting it.

B. D.I absolutely love this beach it has become more popular since the various lockdowns but you are still able to wander along the beach wearing nothing more than a smile!!.
You will meet other like minded people ,dog walkers and occasional fisherman. Be respectful of others and there's no issue .
Sometimes I have walked virtually the full length and back without seeing a textile.
D. G.My favourite beach , its my go to place always reminds of my dad and my grandfather, making sandwiches lighting a fire as a child, spent our summer holidays down here virtually.
B. 6.A great expanse of sand when the tide is out.. Never many people here usually dog walkers horse riders and other sun lovers as its a fair walk through the dunes. I am always able to walk naked along the beach.... The far end by the river is were most naturist head for but I'm quite happy anywhere along the shore line... Most of the naturists are men with the occasional lady did see a lovely girl who gave a wave to me this week as she was making her way to the far end.. Make sure you walk along the signposted paths as it can get boggy off path

H. T. M.Beautiful big sandy beach, with very few people due to the inaccessibility to vehicles, it’s a 20 minute walk over the sand dunes to reach it. Dog friendly. Rock pools full of starfish, crabs and other sea creatures. Idyllic quite frankly.
