I turned up on Bank Holiday Monday and could not be happier - no queues, all skips we're almost empty. I couldn't be easier. All staff were very helpful and friendly. They could do with giving some lessons to other recycling centres on Customer service! Thanks very much.

Absolutely great service. We arrived with a boot full of various rubbish and the guys helped us sort it and carry to the different skips. No queuing, in and out under 10 minutes

The recycling centre is well organised with public safety being the top priority. The guys working there are attentive to your needs and often help ro dispose your recycling

The staff are extremely efficient at directing traffic both on to the site and keeping things moving fast by directing people to the correct recycling bins. The are fantastic at reading people and if they see anyone hesitant they will immediately step in and give directions to the correct bin. We don't live near this site, but prefer to travel that extra distance because of the efficiency of the site

Have used this recycling centre on a number of occasions and always find it well organised and the staff very helpful. A special thanks to Ricky today who went out of his way to assist me, was very friendly and made the service even easier for me. Much appreciated.

It's a rubbish dump not a swanky restaurant so what do folks expect? Some of these reviews kill me.Sometimes you have delays because trucks are swapping skips around and heavy plant equipment is moving ,its Health and Safety rules if you got crushed by a truck folks would be quick enough to drag them through the courts.

Excellent service from the guys up there. Only hassle was they wouldn’t take some old go-cart wheels and tyres. Very pleasant about it but disappointing that they couldn’t take everything

Google wants me to review what the locals lovingly call "The Tip". Not much you can say, really. It's where you take your recycling and rubbish (emphasis on recycling, please). But at least I get an opportunity to praise the people who work there, in all winds and weathers. Probably totally under-appreciated by most (particularly the managers sitting in their cosy offices). The guys at "The Tip" are, in my experience, always helpful, cheery and friendly. So it's to them that I'm giving 5 stars.

My husband and I chose to go to this one rather than the one in Bridgend Industrial estate because very rarely do we have to wait in a queue.. The staff are always helpful in answering questions and pointing out where things need to go. The only allow trailers and vans with a permit.

Called up to Tythegston this morning (Friday), no waiting so straight in with a large garden waste bag, about to struggle with the weight when a lovely lady working there voluntarily helped me lift it into the skip; a tall, blonde lady who I suspect is new to the role, but who was very kind and helpful. I hope her managers see this and thank her as I do.

Prepare to queue as usual! (specially if covid restrictions are still enforced) However friendly/helpful staff and they keep the traffic flowing through. An easy to follow in/out system.

This centre has incredibly helpful staff and is laid out in a simple and accessible manner. There’s about 8 parking spots (though obviously fewer if there’s any Audis) and queues can build up on the weekends if it’s sunny. But they tend to process quite quickly so you won’t be waiting for ages. I have been here a lot lately and quite frankly it’s just as well you’re not allowed to bring new things home from here.

Check opening times on BCBC web site, not on google. Winter hours from 1 Oct. Not hours shown on here....... Waited in queue for 20 min then got turned away, as they close the gate at 15:50.......

This is the best tip I have been to.The customer experience is fantastic, as I am getting out of my car to open the boot There is one guy in particular who is always there straight away to help and if busy nothing is ever too much trouble. I also witness how helpful they are to other customers. SO 5 GOLD STARS TO YOU GUYS AND THANK YOU JAYNE

Can't fault this Recycling centre. I usually brave the chaos that is the Brynmenyn centre but as they don't allow vans I had to take my first trip to Tythegston. Well impressed. No queues, helpful staff, lots of space for cars - I was in and out in no time. Will be using this place regularly from now on.

Good place to get your recycling out of the house when you got a load in your car and it is well organized

Excellent free facility. Staff very helpful. Some selfish people just don't obey the recycling rules which are there for a purpose holding others up with staff then having to explain. They are doing an excellent job in dirty conditions and in all weathers.

Well organised during this Covid-19 threat, but allow plenty of time as only 3 cars at a time are allowed in

April 2022: fully opened again. Helpful staff, black bin back separation back in place.
