The views of the cliffs are worth it. The beach does not have sand, they are thick stones. People walking with children. Good place to spend the day, with a bar nearby.

Not too crowded compared to brightons main beach. Very relaxing and is beautiful on a sunny day. There is a cafe on the beach that sell snacks, ice creams etc.. and cliffs that overlook the amazing view of the sea. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely pace to walk, and lots of wildlife: fulmars (you might think they were seagulls!) and rock pipits nesting in the cliffs and little egrets in the rockpools on the beach
R. B.
Beautiful beach can be also reached on foot or by bicycle following a coastal path

Great place for a walk or a swim. Spot the flora. If the tide is out past the groynes, I recommend avoiding swimming. You have to go out a long way to get to deep enough water to swim. The rocks and mud can make it a tricky walk out.

My go to beach in Brighton! There's not much crowd here compared to the main Brighton beach so it'salways a lovely visit. The water is clean and there is a free car park near here (5 min walking distance).
There's a life guard in this beach too so it's family friendly. Also part of this beach is dog restricted which is great!
I definitely recommend and I'll always be visiting here.

Those looking for a quiet and peaceful getaway will love this beach!

This is a stunning beach. Bring a picnic rug or body boards to lie on as it's going to be too uncomfortable without. Water shoes essential for getting to sea comfortably.

Nice beach, arrived at high tide on a hot day. Sea was clean and refreshing. Not much in the way of cafes or ice-cream but is much quieter than Brighton beach. Dog friendly area at end of beach.

Enjoyed it. The shingle does slope quite steeply at the shoreline. Cafe is fine. The road to parking was shut but there are disabled spaces near toilets.

Lovely stretch of the beautiful South Coast. Crystal clear water but cold. Nice clean beach but stoney so beware!!! Great stretch of coast to cycle along a shared pathway with pedestrians. We parked at Rottingdean and cycled from there. Cafe serving hot and cold drinks and snacks with outdoor seating just along the sea front

Lovely little beach with safe swimming which does not depend on tide. Clean, peaceful, low key and on the 12 bus route. Loved my first visit!

Always fun at low tide exploring in our wellies. What the sea reveals is stunning, its our favourite beach to walk.

Beautiful, Quite Beach: mostly pebbles but small sandy area, superb view of the white rocks on the Cliff, magnificent view of the sea and sunset from the cliff. Less crowded but a bit annoying with the dog walkers, Interruption. Nice cafes, and friendly people around. Ideal place to enjoy the sunset and have a quality time with friends and family.

Pretty little beach with a slightly artdeco feel with the design of the cafe and lido across the road.

Charming lido, with a genuine neighbourly feel.
Surprise: the joyful presence of multicolored cabins at the feet of giant, ascetic, incredibly graphic white cliffs.
No surprise: no sand, ice-cold water.
Bonus: dog friendly.

Great for walking along the beach walkway, I think you can walk all the way to Brighton. Nothing else really there. There is a small cafe. It was cold and windy, would be a nicer atmosphere during the summer, I expect.

Lovely pebble beach, I’d recommend beach shoes to enter the water! Social distanced day at the 🏖 🌊

Very rocky. Lots of seaweed. Run down cafe. It could be a lot better with an injection of money to refurbish certain areas. I highly recommend a bike ride in to Brighton along the lower seaside path. Great for kids as it's flat all the way.

Absolutely Stunning Beach, Brilliant Location And Wonderful Shiny Chalk Cliffs That Stand out during a sun set, only problem I have is that I has a very Steep Access onto the beach that can cause problems, other than that beautiful Beach.

Great beach and is never over crowded

Fantastic place for the beach.... And you can walk all the way to Brighton using the under cliff..... Or a shorter walk to rottingdean...... Plus you can have a swim at the recently opened saltdean lido..... Fab day out.

Best beach in Brighton (or should I say best in Saltdesn actually).

Lovely beach. Mostly pebbles but there are a couple of sandy bits if you walk along.
The White Cliffs cafe serves food & drinks to eat in or out.
Public toilets are available.
Dog walking is allowed on all but the middle couple of sections of beach all year round.

It’s a nice spot/location where you can see some good views of the Telscombe Cliffs in Saltdean near Brighton in the South of England.
Gave this 5 stars and a solid 9 out of 10.
If it is too stormy do not go there.

Lovely beach, cafe on hand, nice and peaceful even in the summer. Parking may be a problem if you're not a local as the spaces fill up quickly.

Could park for free stoney beach but it was quiet and it was lovely to by the sea after being in lockdown for nearly 2 years

Just beautiful walk from here to Brighton Marina. Totally flat once down on the beach.

Great beach but hard to walk on and strong currents

Its the beach in Saltdean.
Hardly the Seychelles, but better than what the beach is around the pier...

Right by the lido, easy to park and the beach was great

Quiet, stony beach with a good view of white cliffs

Great costal walk from Brighton Marina to here. Better with a bike or wheeled transport.
