Small, compact yet beautiful garden. Perfect for wedding photography as we saw atleast three different wedding photoshoot with flowers falling from trees etc. Although this is right behind the city hall there are no restroom near by but yet a perfect place for picnic or to spend a short time with your loved ones. Grab something to eat with your loved ones and come here for a short lonely break.. You will love it. Would definitely recommend to visit in this busy technological shopping world.

Always, well usually, a place of peace right in city centre. Can get a little busy during term time when lots of students take advantage of the peace and quiet, but usually there's space for all. You'll find the Wales national war memorial in the centre and several other memorials and sculptures around this park.

Nice little park in the middle of the bustling city. Very grand war memorial, and moving stones commemorating those who lost their lives in the Falklands War, the Spanish Civil War, thalidomide victims, and organ donors. Beautifully kept, and lovely floral displays. A lovely, handy place for wedding photos as the it's just behind the Registry Office in City Hall.

Hidden away in the middle of Cardiff's civic centre, Alexandra Gardens is circled by five Cardiff University buildings (including Main, Bute and Glamorgan buildings), City Hall, National Museum of Wales, Welsh Government and Central Police Station. Its generally a peaceful place to spend some time away from the bustle of the city centre, just 5 minutes walk away. The centre of the park has a very impressive war memorial, with a water feature that's not always switched on. April/May is z great time to visit when the trees are in blossom.

CARDIFF ~ known as the CITY OF FLOWERS, with Alexandra Gardens at the heart of the Civic Centre festooned iyh regularly changing flower displays. The white magnolia and pink cherry blossom are also notable features.

We thoroughly enjoyed our peaceful stroll around these beautifully designed and kept gardens with the impressive and powerful monument as well as a number smaller ones. We also liked the fact that a large part of the gardens had been separated to create a family fun area which I assume will be there for the duration of the summer holiday.

Lovely quiet place of contemplation. Next to where I work so visit regularly to sit and have a coffee on one of the numerous benches. A few things spoil it unfortunately. Students can be noisy and aren't fussy about leaving litter behind. Homeless use it as somewhere to sleep so benches are surrounded by litter and cigarette ends. Worst is that the place has a terrible rodent problem. You will usually hear the rats rustling in the undergrowth before you see them, but spend any time there and see them you will. Result of the vagrancy and litter unfortunately

It does sometimes feel like everybody is passing through on the way to somewhere rather than enjoying the space itself. Worth visiting however briefly if you're also taking in the nearby museum.

We went there for an evening ice-skating disco. Skates were in a good condition, music was great and funky, price to get in was cheap, people who skated were of a mixed abilities, some were incredible in doing tricks and it felt safe and disciplined there otherwise. The building is grand. And the location was lively on a hill.
