An epic team that made me feel welcome from the start. The building was very clean and neat and the staff were all welcoming. I had Richard conduct an initial treatment on myself. I have had some treatments with David at the clinic and he is fantastic. Being pregnant I wanted to know that I was in good hands with someone who had experience to treat my body and make sure I was in the best condition to remain active throughout pregnancy and that my pelvis was in the best possible position for labour. This clinic is one of the best I've seen. Very clean, but welcoming and not too clinical. Friendly and very knowledgeable staff and I always manage to get an appointment when I need it. Because of my career I'm quite prone to injuries and not only have the staff at The Mersea Road Clinic always managed to fix me but they have also shown me ways to prevent further injuries. They offer a range of services to suit different needs and also have some downstairs rooms that are accessible for those in wheelchairs or with impaired mobility. Plus they remind me I have an appointment the day before - perfect!

They are incredibly professional, really knowledgeable, positive - and even entertaining at the same time! Back in November 2015 I suffered with excruciating pain in my neck and shoulder which resulted in me being unable to complete basic daily tasks including dressing myself, tying my hair up and lifting my children. I was recommended Mersea road Clinic by a friend and after endless GP visits, lack of sleep and generally losing the will to live, I was desperate to trying anything. Having never seen an osteopath before and not really knowing what they were about, I was dubious about going but thank goodness I did!! At my first appointment I was given a clear diagnosis, treatment and a structured plan including some exercises to carry out at home and best of all NO DRUGS!! I felt an improvement from day one and I continued with my appointments, which included manipulation, massage and acupuncture, until I was back to normal and pain free. I really can't express my gratitude enough to the amazing Richard Foster who was with me from start to finish. Around 10 years ago I developed pain in my hips which spread into my back and legs. After many consultations with different doctors I had accepted that I would have to live with the pain for the rest of my life. However, on a recommendation, I went to the Mersea Road Clinic and within a few weeks the pain had lessened considerably, 12 months down the line I still have some residual pain but it is so much better than before and I can do so much more! Vicky and Michael are still hoping to get me completely pain free in the not too distant future. I recommend anyone with pain to visit them sooner rather than later and any problems may be nipped in the bud!

I suffered with chronic back pain and associated muscular problems since I "slipped a disc" over 6 years ago - although I was "patched up" at the time the restrictions and discomfort continued until, having been recommended by a very wise friend, I paid a visit to The Mersea Road Clinic. Because my back problem had been compounded over the years I was advised that there might not be a quick fix.......but the excellent treatment I have received from Michael and Steven has literally worked wonders - I expect that if I had actually made a more concerted effort with the stretching exercises that Steven kindly e-mailed to me I would have seen these results a little earlier ! The whole experience has been positive - I am now understand how and why my back problem worsened and what I know what I should do to keep myself pain free and healthy. I had a very painful lower back following a sporting injury. Within a few days I could barely walk 50 yards. I could not sit down for more than 5 minutes at a time and spent my days standing or lying down. I also had very, very painful sciatica 24 hours per day, 7 days per week in my right leg from my backside to my little toe. I was recommended to go to The Mersea Road Clinic by a previous patient. I was so pleased I had been recommended as I had a series of sessions with Andy Padden and at the end of these I could go on my usual several mile walks, had no sciatica and have resumed playing sport again. An added bonus is that the sciatica I got in my right leg when in the car for more than an hour without a stop to get out and walk, has gone completely. If only I had known earlier! I have no hesitation in recommending the clinic whatsoever, make an appointment now - you will not regret it!

I have been struggling with chronic back pain for 9 years. I have been tried many different treatments, including a variety of medications which did not work for me. Since I have been attending The Mersea Road Clinic I have had relief from my pain and been able to manage it better. It is my first point of call whenever there is any flare ups, this then prevents or reduce the amount of pain killers I need to take and for the length of time I take them for. I always recommend to friends, family and anyone I meet to visit a osteopath (specifically The Mersea Road Clinic) whether it is for a specific reason such as pain or just to remain healthy (maintenance). I've been a patient here for several years, not having been to an osteopath previously, so I initally had little idea of what to expect apart from what I'd heard from my wife who was a patient before me. I go for treatment if I a have specific problem, whether it's a sports-related injury or something else, but I also go for an occasional routine "MOT going over". I've been extemely pleased with the treatment I've received; in most cases any particular problem has been completely resolved, usually after just a few visits. As a result I believe that my overall physical "well-being" has been greatly improved. Not only are the practitioners extremely professional and capable, the general management of the practice is excellent too. I'd highly recomend this clinic to anyone, and I do often to friends.
