Reviews of The Albany Theatre
C.
Visited the Albany Theatre for a small gig. The venue was situated at the back of the main building.
The staff (sound guys, security etc) were amazing. Having visited as part of a band, the staff were so friendly & accommodating.
Set up was straight forward, sound checks were quick.
Once the gig started the sound & lighting was fantastic.
Dont think I have met a friendlier bunch of sound engineers at the many venues I have attended.
Ideal for smaller bands with anything between 100 & 300 guests
While there, there was a fire alarm & the venue had to be evacuated. Staff were calm & handled the situation well ...... luckily it was a false alarm.
Would definitely return to this venue.

Lovely theatre, just on edge of town. Had a lovely little photo booth area set up for the Christmas shows. After checking reviews on parking, I decided against parking at the one recommended on the website, and opted for the one over the road at the Ramada hotel. It was pretty empty, and there was no queue to get out, and only cost £1 in the hotel reception.
The theatre itself felt really lovely and old fashioned, in a really nice way. The production was great, and all the staff were really friendly. I only dropped one star as when I arrived, I was after a warm drink but was told they weren't open yet, but have no indication of when they were, so I didn't get a drink before the show, not a massive issue, I will make sure I preorder next time as I hadn't realised I could do this.

We went to see Cinderella. A fabulous performance with a great cast. Really enjoyed it, as did my granddaughter. Fab sets, music and choreography. Performance included some very load bangs, which produced a lot of smoke which affected my asthma. Full auditorium.

First time going to The Albany Theatre, helpful staff, brilliant show "Thank You for the Music" a fully enjoyable night with friend's.
L. F.
Proper old school theatre. We loved it, staff/volunteers were friendly and helpful & drinks a reasonable price. The show (Clinton Baptiste) was brilliant and great value. 👍
F. B.
This was actually my first ever visit to a theatre, went to see Dickens A Christmas Carol, the theatre itself was undergoing some reconstruction but this was not in anyway distracting.
As for the play WOW, 7 or 8 people played the parts and were brilliant, it's my favourite story and they more than did it justice
N. C.
Was ok, enjoyed the show, a little bit dated but overall ok. Great volunteers at doors and on bar, good job done and very friendly 👏 overall a good night. Very handy for the hotel next door, we stayed over.
A. W.
Could be a great little theatre - just need to change one thing.. . don't make people walk through the smoking shelter to get to the stalls, dressing room or toilets. I can't believe that is an acceptable health policy in this day & age... what a shame.
C. S.
I went to see ABBA there with my best friend as it was her 60th Birthday so we went with her big Sister. And the Show was really fantastic
K. D.
Thoroughly enjoyed the production of A Christmas Carol. Paul Nolan who plays Scrooge steals the show. The Albany is always good value for money.
R.
Great cast, delivered with gusto. Theatre was a little cold and showing its age, but I hear it's due some tlc
S. &. D. G.
Attended the theatre to see Dale Gibson - Lead Trombone on #LostInMusic show. It was an incredible show just what Coventry needed.
Theatre staff are awesome, friendly and attentive.
I support adults with learning disabilities (for Coventry City Council) to live independently in the community. It was soo amazing to catch up with some of them and observe them giving back to their City and supplying a valued public service. Soo Proud of them. Special mention to Joel, Barbara, Rolan & Sam. Great job!
R. W.
Lovely art deco theatre, fabulous staff, great production of a Christmas Carol.
M. F.
The show was brill but chairs old and worn out .plus couldn't have a drink after show can't coment on staff as didn't have anything with them but the show made up for the other little things and would go again to see a show
A. c.
Never been before and really enjoyed it. Drinks were a reasonably priced, seats were comfy and Clinton Baptiste was hilarious, defo go back again.
J. T.
Lovely local theatre. Great shows and concerts very intimate and friendly venue.
P. S.
Nice little theatre, bit tired and seats not too comfortable. But fine for an evenings entertainment.
L. R.
Saw a great show here. Prices of drinks are reasonable. Staff were great.
E. D.
Fantastic show, great cast, good view from each seat and friendly staff
L. C.
Great show. So funny!! Lovely theatre and great staff too!
Y. L.
Great theatre good value. Currently renovating it so the entrance is a little odd, bit small and the seats are difficult to get into qhen you've got sciatica or a back problem, but I suppose that can't be helped
T. H.
We had a great time at the beauty and the beast ballet. Also saw mystery mansions, fabulous
D. T.
Seen a number of shows here now, can be quite rammed at times but they manage to pack everyone in. All round pleasurable experiences.
c. c.
Great journey through the history of transport that doesn't overwhelm with facts and figures.
G. P.
We saw the Merseyside Beatles and they were fantastic. Great venue and helpful staff
R. N.
Performance was good, but temperature inside was too low, so needed to keep jacket on.
M.
We went to see a Christmas Carol it was brilliant would definitely recommend going
C. H.
Visited for Heritage Open Day on 15th September for a tour of the theatre. The guides were knowledgeable, informative and fun. A beautiful art deco building with lots of original features: I particularly liked the glass, which harked back to the building's days as a technical college
J. C. A.
Nice little art deco style theatre. Loved it. Im not sure if it's an ongoing project but the reception area needs to be decorated. Watched Twirlywoos here with my little one and it was great. Ladies toilets were big and clean.
S. A.
Went to see Girls just wanna have fun fabulous touring show. Theatre was well organised from box office to getting to our seats.
D. M.
A wonderful art deco theatre in Coventry, saved from demolition at least twice by dedicated theatre goers and performers. Great shows by both amateur and professionals. Packed houses. Enjoy!
S. M.
First time we've visited and to be fair they are in middle of renovation. But it's shabby, and gents need to use portable loos.
Just needs some TLC which it's being given. Very friendly staff/volunteers so hoping all goes well.
R. S.
Loved watching this today! Interactive with the audience and much more personable than bigger theatres. And getting to meet the cast at the end of the performance was a lovely touch, thank you very much!
E. T.
Was here with my 6 year old for The Snow Queen! Loving it. I just love the fact that there is a post-show photograph. She absolutely loves it! Well done The Albany Theatre and the Snow Queen team!
Revisited 27 Aug 2021:Goldilocks and the Three Bears
A comical twist of the Goldilocks and the Three Bears. Amusing and heartily laughters. Always love the photoshoot afterwards.
R. H.
Very good theatre
You could tell of the air change
V. D.
I've travelled to this quaint theatre, based in "Coventry" (that is less than a 5 minute cab ride away, from the "Railway Station"), on "Multiple Occasions", over the past 5 or so years, &, like it their, for a few reasons (one mentioned above). It was mainly to see the amazing, very soundalike;- "CHRIS CONNER", As "ELVIS SHOW", &, 'What An Amazing Talent He Is Folks' (don't just take my word for it, go, &, see, &, hear what myself, friends, &, others have so, you can see for yourself. He is proven to be, time, &, again, to be the "Worlds Best", &, "Favourite, #ELVIS PRESLEY Tribute Act, On The Current Circuit, Globally", &, 'Has "SELL OUT AUDIENCES", At Every Venue He Goes To, Oh', &, 'He Is Originally Born', &, 'Lives In "#OLDHAM, ENGLAND" (Proud To Be From "#BRITAIN"!!!
The Theatre Has Directly Next Door To It (so no travelling to, &, from the theatre, if you've travelled to #Coventry, as their is a "PREMIER INN HOTEL", right next door, &, joined onto the whole building. There's a pub up the road, to the left of the establishment, with a late opening convenience store, over the road, as well as other shops, chinese takeaway to go to, either before the show, after it, or both, &, to the right of it, across the road, &, a little further up the road, are around 4/5, reasonably priced, competative takeaway shops, &, an early-ish closing convenience store so, no need to take your own food, or, pay "£24.99, For A 2 Course Meal", &, "Breakfast, Next Morning At;- #PREMIER INNS RESTAURANT"!!!

Went to granddaughters show, really enjoyable night and performance
S. C. B.
It’s an absolutely beautiful Art Deco theatre. A real gem in Coventry.
C.
Bought memories back of when it was the college. Had a lovely evening, this was another place that was lovely and warm on a winters night, making the experience so much better. Gordon Buchanan was entertaining and informative, excellent speaker for those interested in the natural world.
M. A.
Excellent night out. Lost in music fantastic. Same put at back in wheelchair as I couldn't see much as everyone in front standing up to dance. Which I don't blame them.
K. S.
Amazing Performance for such a small Theatre. Watched Cinderella Panto. Kids loved it!
D. S.
The theatre itself was fine but the on-site payment system at the Earlsdon Park multi-storey car park is utterly ridiculous! My understanding was that the car park must have ANPR cameras at the entrance. However, when I put my registration number into the machine to exit, I then had to state my entry time...
What?!?
J. H.
Great little venue - a hidden gem with a good line up of entertainment. Shame the bar was closed for most of the night during an 80's party night, but I guess it is reliant on volunteer bar staff. Will definitely be back.
A. B.
Very dated and not organised very well but show was good
C. S.
Lovely old building being kept alive with music and theatre..warm friendly atmosphere..could do with down level toilets..stairs are a problem although there is a lift ifound later..car park ticket machines caused a hold up on way out .guess need to visit more often to work these things out...lovely nite out with the Dubliners..great evening ...more xx
S. D.
Great show ' Rocket Man'... A Tribute act of Elton John. 👍
R. C.
Nice friendly atmosphere, good amenities would have gave 5 stars only issue it just needs updating, otherwise a great little theatre.
A. V.
Lovely story. Enjoyed the friendly atmosphere and staff.
C. F.
Great show nice setting everything ran smoothly
J. W.
Went to see Xmas Carol. Not for me. Also lots of people coughing. Not nice
W. W.
Amazing community theatre with excellent shows. The staff are friendly, helpful and always happy to help. With the upcoming refurbishments that have been announced its going to get even better. 👍
C. D.
Maureen Nolan was fabulous, as ever and her 2 co-stars were very talented. Always a warm welcome at the Albany. 😁
T. A.
Nice theatre... smoking are wafts into the theatre especially at the back....parking not good and confusing ...be careful you may get a ticket...
J. P.
Always a great atmosphere and friendly, welcoming staff
R. B.
Vincent Simone and his Tango Passions! First night of the tour! SO GOOD!
N. D.
Rough and Ready theatre in the Butts. Parking out front is a lottery, but a bigger car park at the side... Seating is old school, but decent social distancing. Enjoyed A Christmas Carol.
V. R.
Staff nice and friendly wouldn't definitely visit again
M. M.
It was a joy to visit the Albany Theatre. The production was a delight. The staff were so friendly. The only downside were the ladies toilets. Could do with some investment but I appreciate this takes funding.
j. l.
Went to see a Christmas carol amazing show
R. R.
An absolutely massive building for a tiny little theatre! Toilets for the gents are portaloos and the the ladies are a bit like being in a wetherspoons - take your hiking boots. Some of the staff were very very new - 1 young lad needed help to make me a cup of tea?!
S. W.
Car just behind not to far to walk.nice little old theatre.
N. H.
Have just taken my grandson to watch the production of The Little Mermaid, was, absolutely brilliant, staff as always very welcoming and such a lovely theatre.
J. F.
They were really helpful and I have ticket for Saturday afternoon performance iam going with two people to see the show I've been there before i no they have some good shows on there.
S. T.
First time here and it felt like home! Went to see Paul Merton's Improv Chums and will aim to see another event soon.
P. S.
Enjoy the evening, nice theatre
C. P.
It's a beautiful art deco theatre with excellent acoustics, and a fly rail so a whole myriad of productions can play here 😎
L. D.
Lovely little theatre, well organised. Comfortable seats. Variety of shows. A hidden gem
B. B.
A great little theatre in the heart of Coventry. Lovely atmosphere and really friendly staff.
The performance was outstanding. Will be coming back soon.
c. d.
Staffed by volunteers who are very friendly and helpful
J. P.
The actual theatre was great....the car park not so....no card payments allowed, cash only! Or scan the code which a lot of people couldnt do!
L. F.
Great show. My era of music. Easily accessible for wheelchairs.
p. “. m.
Hey lovely evening with Emily atack. Only drawback don't have working phone line in open hours and don't reply to emails tho. Lovely venue random male portle loo hut. Friendly staff and helpful. Communication a draw back to loud music before act And staff in mask
V. P.
Great show with the one and only Clinton Baptiste , multistorey parking 100 yards away behind the hotel, beer was a bit warm, but a great venue, dated but old-school comfy
B. B.
Went to see A Christmas Carol great production. Nice to see an old theatre entertaining young and old. Another thing we need to support for now and the future
A. N.
Lovely venue, friendly staff
M. S.
Show was good
Theatre looks like being refurbished.
Lady at box office was un helpful and rude unlike the very friendly people serving hot drinks and snacks.
H. E.
We had a lovely evening here
s. r.
First experience for an afternoon children's theatre event and it was freezing cold! We sat in our coats and still felt cold, not great for a family event. Theatre is old style which is still nice to see and I believe ran by volunteers which is appreciated and highly commendable. Bar area/lobby out front is a bonus to have, but feels so vast and empty, not somewhere that enticed me to buy a drink. Mixed feelings about this one, love having the option of another theatre in the area, but won't be rushing back unless the event really draws me there. Don't forget to like my review 😀
M. C.
Fantastic show, and great afternoon for me and my mum.
THIS IS ME with EIOVANNI and fantastic singers and dancers.
Words fail me ...thank you.
P. S.
Brilliant place, the multi story car park paying system was an absolute joke.
L.
This is a lovely, quaint, traditional theatre. I loved that they came round with ice-cream during the interval - it reminded me of going to theatre when I was a child. We went to see A Christmas Carol, and it was good. It was excellent value for money. We booked online, which was easy and straightforward. We found the staff at the theatre to be pleasant and helpful. There was one child performer that didn't act well (a girl), and this stood out as the other actors were all very good. I might have given the production 4 stars but for the price of the tickets, it's worth 5 stars.
S. M.
Really enjoyed the Elvis show the other week. Very nice theatre in an old former college. The half time area to go toilet and grab a drink is a bit basic. But the bar down in the Premier suite is alright... however I would advise on going to one of the pubs nearby such as the Aardvark about 100 meters away, or one of the pubs on Craven Street around the corner.
O.
They do some excellent shows here at a more affordable price
S. J.
Lovely slightly dated theatre. They have little red pull down seats that are comfy. The seating is situated on a slight tier so hopefully you are not sitting behind a tall person! They also have a bar area for that interval drink. It has quite a large lobby that is joined to the hotel next door, so when you turn up early you can have pre show drinks, hot or cold they are both nice!
C. W.
Theatre and show very good but reception area and bar dreadful.I believe it is scheduled for extensive work to modernise and a plan is up for inspection in the bar.
A. T.
School end of year performance it was a great night. Staff there were very helpful and nothi g was too much trouble. The venue lends itself well to this occasion. Also as someone in the auditorium it's a great night out for a show I have seen many.
W. D.
A brilliant fusion of old art deco theatre and more modernised arts space. A great choice of famous faces from music, screen and theatre together with more local group productions. The staff are fantastic and very professional for such a small theatre. But it's making its mark with returning popular shows and groups.A must visit for old and young and great family nights out.
E. R.
Lovely venue and facilities
T. B.
Nice venue, a bit shabby during the renovation but will look great when finished.
N. J.
Very interesting tour of the theatre with informative staff
E. H.
Lovely theatre, although some of the shows are expensive compared to other theatres in Coventry and Warwickshire. But what a shame about the open cold area between the main entrance and the theatre. So cold even just going to the toilet. With all the work they have had carried out you'd have thought this area could have been addressed.
P. H.
Old world charm. Wife had a problem having to climb 2 stairs to go to the ladies.
J. F.
I loved the Albany when we went there to see Wind in the Willows. It's a little Art Deco gem in a really unlikely location on Butts Road. The staff were all very friendly and it has a very welcoming feel to it. The production was great considering the very reasonable price for the tickets. It's not like the London or Birmingham productions we see but it's a fraction of the price and does what I think theatre should do, which is get you to use your imagination. I hope it keeps going as I understand it's recently reopened. It certainly deserves to.
F. K.
I rang to book 4 seats to watch A Christmas Carol, left my phone number and a couple of hours later a very friendly, happy sounding young lady called me back to take my booking. She was cheerful yet professional.
We went to the Ramada for a pre-theatre dinner which was excellent and wandered over to the Albany Theatre to be welcomed by enthusiastic volunteers. The show was First Class. The sound quality was excellent - especially for someone like me with a hearing problem, as the tone was so good without upping the volume to distortion.
I have been to quite a number of plays, shows and performances at the Albany and can honestly say I have enjoyed watching the Theatre blossom as it grows and develops. Well done to you all. You are doing a sterling job!
M. B.
A Folk Music session took place in the theatre annexe, with invited local musicians. This was a very good performance with about twenty excellent musicians but only a similar number of audience. Well, it was a Sunday afternoon. The theatre, running with volunteer staff, was a superb venue for this entertainment; clean, welcoming, well staffed, spacious and close to the centre of Coventry. A discrete bar was open for the whole time of the performance. I would recommend the Albany for any organisers looking for a good place to promote a show.
P. D. M.
Always a good experience & the variety of artists and shows is really good often easier to buy seats than the Warwick Arts Theatre it's lovely to have a vibrant theatre in the heart of the city & the more its used the longer we will enjoy - however the entrance has moved to Albany Road with no signs to direct you
A. C.
It was a surprise when we entered the venue as the entrance way is the same as the one for the premier inn hotel. I loved the old fashion look and atmosphere of the theatre, it is grand and very beautiful. The staff are nice and welcoming and they even have volunteers who where interested in our experience of the venue and thoughts on the film we just watched.
D. L.
Great theatre and performance, only a handful of parking spaces is all so arrive early!
J. C.
Lovely theatre. Lots of character. Sound was very good. Look forward to going again. Can get very hot on the upper rear balcony even in February.
C. A.
I went with my family to see the play Peter Pan. Parking isn't expensive but you must know your registration number of your vehicle and have the exact change as it doesn't give change or take card payment.
The staff at the theatre are friendly and helpful. My children really enjoyed the show and we found it was interactive at certain times, which they really liked.
It was a small production play and very simple but thorough, as lots of dialogue, so they had practiced the lines well.
L. M.
Difficult to find as no eye catching signage. A warren of corridors inside, inadequate exit at end of performance and uncomfortable seating.
J. T.
Went to see Little Mix Tribute Act here yesteday.
Theatre was a little cold, needed warming up but could take a drink, a hot drink into the theatre to warm ourselves up.
Could only get a drink during the interval which we thought was a shame as it spoilt our experience a little.
Maybe you could change the rules somewhat? Or maybe that's why the theatre is so clean!
Friendly welcoming staff too. Accessible with ramp for those with mobility difficulties. Parking near by. Easy to find.
A. N.
Great little theatre. Easy to get to, some road parking available (we went on a Sunday). E parked in the multi storey car park within walking distance. £3 all day.
V. B.
This is the first time I have been to the Albany Theatre since it reopened 5 years ago. What it has achieved over that time is testament to the dedication and enthusiasm of its volunteers. The programme it offers is a match for any of the provincial theatres out there. The performance of Silas Marner as part of the Bicentenary Celebrations of George Eliot's birth was excellent. It's just a pity that there was only a small audience in attendance at the matinee performance. Hopefully the Conn Artists Theatre Company will be back with another George Eliot offering in the not too distant future.
L. T.
Worked there filming a dance festival. Traditional theatre with lots of history. Stayed in the premiere Inn which is within the same building, unusual but works well. Not sure about the new wall that blocks the doors into the theatre. Strange idea and would rather see the doors through the lobby. If it's for H&S, then it's less safe as it creates a congested entrance.
G. S. C.
Fabulous venue for close quarters live viewing.
B. F.
An intimate theatre with extremely friendly staff and I will be back, the cost of their refreshments are very reasonable.
l. h.
Good local theatre putting on some great shows.
C. O.
This venue had to have the most friendly welcome I have ever had the pleasure of experiencing. The volunteers that work here are an absolute credit and I will definitely be coming back again and telling anyone who will listen how great this theatre is.😁
i. h.
Great shows as always
j. s.
Great evening and great show. The staff are lovely very helpfull
Y. O.
Not as yet used the theatre, only have been to the box office.so far so good . Box office staff friendly and helpful. Access in Albany road large sloping wheelchair ramp to box office and foyer Will amend my view after my first night at a show
I. G.
Great venue ,great place to see bands .
A. B.
Lovely and inspiring community theatre. Lots happening. Very good vibe.
J. c.
I recently went to a charity event here, which was geeat, very friendly staff and a good show.
Unfortunately, I lost my phone which was brand new! I was gutted as I hadnt had it insured at the time. Alsmot 4 weeks later I received an email to say that they had found my phone and kept it for me.
So this review is less about how great a show was and more about how great l the team at the Albany are. Honesty and integrity is something they clearly are passionate about and it clearly shines through the whole of their team.
Thank you for being honest everyone who played a part in getting the phone to me, it had priceless memories on the memory card. So it was invaluable to me.
s. r.
Cannot fault this place, very helpful staff and fantastic theatre
S. S.
My night at the Albany Theatre was a surprise present fom my children.
The venue was a little tired but the act, ELVIS IMPERSONATOR was fantastic, he looked, sounded and dressed the part so well that he almost had me believing.
N.
Excellent venue pleasant staff good parking
C. W.
Great theatre, great shows and friendly staff
P. H.
City of Culture has one of its gems tucked behind an hotel. The Albany Theatre is a great venue for shows, events, corporate presentations et al. The new cafe is superb. Well worth a visit
R. C.
A small theatre in a historic building which comprises of offices and a hotel. Seats are quite uncomfortable for long periods of sitting but staff are friendly and lots of volunteers to help you find your seat.
S. P.
Good theatre, seats are quite old but comfortable, parking is bit tricky as the multistorey car park next to it was not working properly hence you don't know when you enter if there are parking spaces available or not
I. V.
Wow. Love this theatre. Embraces the local community. Lovely building inside.
J. C.
First time at the theatre really enjoyed it and the ballet we went for.
C. B.
Mr. Jekyll and Hyde. Brilliant silent movie. Orchestra made the film come to life. Beautiful building and volunteers. Needs the public to support and investment.
C. V.
I love this theatre. I've seen some really good shows here. Recently seen Ian Waite and Vincent Simone. A Midsummer Night's Dream coming up soon

Always a great theatre to visit, some interesting changes as the theatre entrance has moved and a new bar area is developed. Good feel as always and good value prices for refreshments and theatre tickets.

A lovely theatre with a good spread of productions. I have had numerous problems with ticketing, the last one a week ago. To be sure use phone booking in mornings.
R. F.
Great little theatre with a great atmosphere. Needs a bit of TLC and some support. I'll definitely go again.
J. P.
Partnering with Albany for our event, their team were professional and have very nice hospitality. My guests were very satisfied about the show!
M. B.
Theatre was good, but I think the foyer area could do with a refurbish. Doesn't look very inviting. Looks like a canteen.
J. K.
Small but good
C. P.
All very open plan when you walk in, theatre is compact inside the stage part making it seem cosy. Nice friendly staff.
A. W.
Nice regional theatre but could do with a kuck of paint
D. P.
Watched snow queen with little'n, he loved it!
Y. Z.
Very good hospitality and lovely spaces! Would definitely come back again to hire/attend shows.
D. L.
Just seen the Buddy Holly show. Had a great night
B. P.
Wonderful place. Because of the small size, it felt a very intimate - almost private - performance. I'm now looking for a reason to go back. 8)
K. S.
Had a good evening with the Dublin Legends.
M. A.
It's a great little place. Only ever been there for meet-ups, never a show, and I must rectify that soon.
R. L.
Always great shows, great theatre, love the refurbished bar area, fast becoming the best theatre in Coventry
P.
Excellent play, very helpful staff, pleasant and interesting old building. Disabled parking (need to pay) right outside.
G. S.
Very nice theatre and a brilliant show
K. H.
Small but Cosby needs bigger bar. Dance show was brilliant lighting and sound b very good
J. P.
Wonderful show considering they were all local non professional actors. The theatre is really coming on with its developments too.
J. M.
Really nice and cosy venue, watched Jack and the beanstalk, it was really entertaining. Fantastic atmosphere, would go again.
M. C.
Nice place . Needs a bit of a refurbishment though and staff need to actively boot out audience who can't keep quiet.
S. D.
Nice night out, shame about the bar and entrance butane to feel very welcome
L. H.

A. Y.

But an excellent night out here
B. M.
Love this place. Beautiful theatre, friendly staff and overall a lovely experience.
f. !.
I love the show I watch the seating was comfortable and even though I was at the back I had a clear view
A. C.
Great little theatre, excellent performances from ametuer performers who always give their all.
s. t.
Went to see Francis Rossi, I talk to much tour absolutely brilliant would definitely use this place again for a show
A. B.
Could do with a better layout when performing in the studio area. The interruption from the main theatre meant the interval was too long.
J. M.
Really enjoyable night. Well done to the volunteers
B. P.
A volunteer run theatre is great and David Gower was brilliant Saturday 26 October a fantastic evening
S. D.
Always happy to attend this Theatre. I've seen some great shows.

R. C.
Lovely old Theatre with a new front of house area. Very good.
R. B.
Needs better signage for the carpark but apart from this it was a great place. Take a cushion as the seats are very hard too
C. V.
Very welcoming, friendly staff; holding community exhibitions. Excellent, clean & inviting environment.
D. V.
Great tribute show to Elvis. Hard to get served at the bar but enjoyable evening
a. g.

Theatre is about a 20 minute walk from the city centre shops and restaurants. The theatre is the same building as Premier Inn so a minute’s walk round the corner. The suggested parking is just a few minutes walk the opposite direction. The parking only takes coins (no notes or card) however you can go online on your phone and pay that way (this was long winded to say the least). When we first walked in, the place reminded me of being back at secondary school - lots of hand made signs and decor (this is not a posh London theatre). Actors pictures on A4 paper blue tacked to the wall (perhaps I’m exaggerating just a little here). That said, they had a decent stock of drinks and snacks and everyone working there friendly and polite. It’s an old building and there was renovation work going on but the signage was clear. The actual theatre auditorium was lovely - old fashioned chairs and decor but that’s part of its charm. It was a little cold in there so if you go in winter, do take some layers. We watched A Christmas Carol which was great! I think there was only about 6 or 7 actors but they were all fantastic. Wouldn’t hesitate to go back here to watch something else. Can’t beat the value for money and thoroughly enjoyed the visit!

Good performance of Cinderella, venue ok.

(Translated) The theater is owned by a charitable organization and also operates as a community center. We gave a concert there as part of the project "75 years of sister city movement Volgograd-Coventry: a look into the future", with financial support from the Presidential Grants Fund. The director provided the theater for the concert free of charge. Hall for 500 seats, modern bright hall, welcome zone.
