G.Both myself and my mum have used Darren for boiler repairs and servicing for many years. He always does a great job, fixes things quickly, and provides good advice on how to maintain your boiler. He is incredibly friendly and takes the time to explain the problem in an easy to understand way. A tradesman you can trust!
T. C.I have used Darren a few times to do various jobs around our house. The latest one was to replace a radiator in one of the bedrooms. Darren is punctual and thorough. I would definitely reccomend him. He ordered from City plumbing. A slight glitch with the original radiator ordered but City Plumbing took accountability and rectified the issue quickly..
I am currently liasing with Greg at City Plumbing to order a new bathroom suite and again the service is good.
R. M.I contacted Flame Guru in an emergency. A very elderly relative was left with no working gas fire in bitterly cold weather. Although it wasn't convenient for him, Darren came out to her as soon as he could and stayed for a long time to repair the appliance. He cleaned up carefully afterwards and made sure that there were no problems before he left. He was a real star that day! I would highly recommend this company.
A. C.He's the best person I can think of, to fix heating wiring. He came out, at 5:00 P.M. to fix a fault with the central heating controller and he was there until gone 9:00 P.M, but he fixed it that evening: he keeps his word. When I had no hot water and no central heating in the dead of winter, and I called him at 4:30P.M, he goes above and beyond to sort out the wiring and heating controller with that particular type of heating system, and he never gives up and says, "Right, it's the end of the day, I'll finish it off tomorrow," he keeps his word and he fixes central heating (with bespoke wiring designs) controllers that night, because he knows all the different types of central heating systems and how they are wired. Call him, if you're without central heating or hot water... He's the man... A very big man, with a cracking personality, but he likes his tea with half a spoonful of sugar... And he likes Honeywell heating and plumbing parts, not the other cheap rubbish out on the market...
As he says (or rather sings), "If you need me, call me, no matter where you are, no matter how far, don't worry baby, just call out my name, I'll be there in a hurry, you don't have to worry, 'cause baby there ain't no mountain high enough, ain't no valley long enough, ain't no river wide enough, to keep me from getting the job done."

W.Really helpful and friendly, I rang Darren to see if he could repair a fault with my washing machine, although he couldn't do it himself he found time to offer me advice and guided me to another business who were able to offer me support on the day. I had a feeling that nothing was too much trouble for him....What a star!

Friday evening and the pressure on my boiler had gone below 0.5 so I had no hot water or heating, it was advised i got in touch with a gas engineer. I sent a message to Darren via Checkatrade on Friday evening. Darren rang me almost straight away, arranged to come round the following morning. He arrived a little early and sorted out the problem within a few minutes. Darren said 'the easiest job he'd had' somehow the pressure had righted itself over night.... no charge for me.
