Reviews of Sandall Park Playground

Sandall Park is a park in Doncaster, South Yorkshire, England. The park covers 69 acres and is located in Wheatley and is the one of the biggest leisure parks in Doncaster.
The park plays host to 3 football pitches and a fishing lake and a smaller lake.[1] Prior to the 1980s the fishing lake had small boats for park users to use hence the park is known locally as the 'Boating Lake'. There are also two children playgrounds, one of which was built in 2010. The funding for the second playground came from central government through the playbuilder scheme[2] and the Veolia Environmental Trust. The playground includes equipment which encourages children's balance and fitness and a children’s play train which reflects the heritage of the park as there was once a children's train in the park which was removed in the late 1970s.[3] There are also 3 fitness trails with fitness equipment.[4]

We took my son and fiancé's son there and they really enjoyed burning off some energy on the playgrounds

Brilliant place to bring the kid's for an hour or so, lot's of different equipment for them to play on in a safe environment,
There are toilet facilities and a cafe to the other side of the park, perfect excuse to walk round the lake and feed the birds (not bread)

Clean, safe, well maintained. Kids love it here. Plenty of different apparatus for them to play on and keep them busy. Usually stay a few hours and take a picnic and take a walk around the lake with all the ducks. I know it's nature but it would be nice if the paths around the lake we cleaned up a bit it's awful walking in so much duck poo it's unavoidable. Other than that 1 flaw of the area the playground itself is great.

I took my 14 months old Grandaughter. She loved going on the swing, roundabout & the slide. We had a lovely walk round the lake to see the ducks. It was all very pleasant.

With two great play areas close to eachother, a fantastic little lake with all the wildlife that comes along with it, public toilets and a cafe...This is a fantastic place to spend an afternoon with the kids. However it can get a little muddy and birds mess is hard to avoid occasionally during the hight of the summer. Would recommend it anyone with a few hours to waste.

I took my 2 Grandchildren (who have arrived from China) to Sandall Park. I was pleased to hear they thought the whole park was wonderful and tremendous. They played on the swings and the other playground activities for about an hour absolutely loving the high-wire swing. We then moved onto the wooden climbing constructions in another part of the park. My Grandchildren are very active with lots of energy and the climbing constructions were perfect challenges for them. We then enjoyed a walk around the lake my Grandchildren making sightings of all the water fowl and the excitement of seeing a squirrel was palpable. We had to make a further visit 2days later, wonderful surroundings all across the park.
