A heartfelt thank you for taking care of my boy Toby on what was the worse day of my entire life. Thank you for treating him with the care and dignity he deserved and for making losing him a little easier to bear. The whole experience from first contact to collecting his ashes was compassionate, comforting and reassuring, even our vet nurse highly recommend you as she had previously brought her own dog to you. We are forever grateful. Toby , who was, is, and will always be my world.

I couldn't recommend The Pet Crematorium, Durham highly enough. From first phoning to make an appointment to collecting our cats ashes, Amy and Adam were incredibly caring and compassionate. Amy went above and beyond and I'm confident she'd have cared for our cat as if she was her own. She made an incredibly difficult time easier with absolutely exceptional customer service. It's rare to find someone who cares so much about their job and service they provide. The place itself was immaculately presented and very peaceful. What a wonderful service they provided after the loss of our dog last week. We received his ashes back today, along with a glass bottle of his hair. I had asked for a paw print, as with my other dog I received an ink print on a piece of card which I loved, but this time they sent his actual paw print in plaster which was a lovely surprise. Two weeks ago me and my Dad lost our best friend Lola. She was the most beautiful kind happy little yorkie russell mix. She loved people. We are truly devestated to lose such a big part of our lives. We lived for that dog. Especially after my Mam died in January our main focus became Lola.We loved her so much it hurts. When she had to be put to sleep at the vets we just couldn't breathe for crying. We opted to get her cremated through the vets and get her ashes returned to us. They organised your service for us. Well I got the phone call today to go and collect them from the vets. My dad tearfully cradled the gold bag in his arms as I drove home. Lola loved a ride in the car though. We are still devestated by our loss and always will be but it gives me comfort knowing I have her back. My Dad is upset at the sight of the box so I've got her in my bedroom with me where she used to sleep. Thank you for the service you provided. A lovely green container with silky soft material around it inside a bigger green box. Very good quality. Then in a white cardboard box with her name and address on. And finallly the gold bag Beautifully presented. Reading these other reviews I wish I knew I could get a paw print and some fur clippings but its ok as those paws and that fur is already in my heart. What can i say that would describe just what a wonderful service i was given. My dog Daisy was returned in a bag that was just fitting, inside the bag was a white cardboard box, inside that box was another box. A lovely green in colour, then inside this beautiful box was Daisy's casket, the casket was padded inside the green box with a soft silk material. My old lass was given the very best i could ever wish for. I thank The Pet Crematorium from the bottom of my heart for the way they returned Daisy with such dignity Thank you all. x x x

Thank you for looking after my cat Oreo, he was brought home beautifully in a silky gold bag inside his photo tribute box. The paw imprint and fur keepsake is so precious, all kept in a well presented green and gold box. My heart breaks he’s no longer here but it’s that much easier having him back at home where I can keep him close.

Hi I had my rabbit gizmo cremated on the 15th June. I had on the phone to the pet cremtorium a couple of times during the week leading up to the day of gizmos cremation. I had mentioned that I didn't want one of your urns that I wanted to buy one myself from somewhere else to put his ashes in. I also mentioned that I would prefer a song played while he was being cremated as I always had music playing or the TV when gizmo was out and that I wanted it to be more personal to him. I was told that Adam would ask his manager and get back to me as it was working conditions which I understood. I didn't receive any phone call. On the day of the cremation I was understandably emotional and arrived at the crem. I never received a phone call back from Adam about the song. When I arrived on the room I thought gizmo was well presented and he looked at peace. I held him for a while. I arrived at 11 and was told that he would be cremated at midday. It was my last chance to spend some time with him and I felt I was hurried as he was in and out. I felt this was a time which should of been uninterrupted and he came in with paperwork before the hour was up. This was incredibly upsetting as I felt like he just wanted it over and done with and paid. I also think it isahocking that you have to pay £60 to see your pet on the chapel of rest. I have a friend who works in a vets down the country and their vet use the pet cremtorium. She said hers don't charge. When Adam came in the room he couldnt the name of the song I wanted played or that I wasn't having an urn. I had told him beforehand then that I wanted the bluebell scattering tube. I feel he should of known these details or been more prepared an such an upsetting time as I felt I had to repeat myself. I was also told that we would be communication with then throughout the cremation. I felt like we weren't really involved. I saw him as a rabbit and hour later he was ashes. This was really upsetting and I felt let down. I asked which song I wanted played and he said he would play it on his phone. I was told to come back 3 hours later and we went somewhere to have a coffee. I got the phone call and hour and a half later to say he was ready. I hope his wishes were respected and that he did play the song but I have no proof he did. On arrival to pick up the ashes Andre went and got his ashes. There was no compassion and she even asked me what was up which I thought was really insensitive when I was coming to pick up my rabbits ashes. When I opened the box and his death certificate after leaving I found a card to leave a review. I thought this was really insensitive and that you's should of waited for a review. Understandly when I had just lost my pet I wasn't exactly thinking about writing a review for yourselves. I though this was a bit of a joke and incredibly insensitive. It felt like yous were more bothered about praise than the fact I was extremely upset and distressed about loosing my animal. I felt like he was looked after but I felt like you's were more bothered about receiving the payment and getting the money not the fact that gizmo was no longer here and the grief we were suffering on the day. I feel extremely let down. This was the first time I used yourselves 😡

So far we have had 2 guinea pigs cremated with them...they have been amazing...they answered every question and talked us through everything...they did everything the same day for us and were very accommodating...we do still have animals and when the unfortunate time comes of their passing we will be using them...well worth the price...

I can not thank all of you enough for your help over the past few days. I was devastated on Friday when I lost my beloved cat Garfield, then found out on Monday I had been lied to by my vet who had said I had no choice but to use the crem of of rhier choice.Laura took time out to deal with people on my behalf as I was so upset and got Garfield into your hands and my mind at peace. Such a friendly service, even though we were heart broken about our beautiful puppy the pet crematorium where more than helpful. They allowed us to say our final goodbyes to our precious baby. The box which was given to us to bring her ashes back home was so beautiful. We decided to get the scattering tube. Even though the urns that they have are beautiful the right one for us wasnt there so we got an urn else where a little bit after the cremation but thanks to these wonderful people we were able to have the ashes transferred professionally via the pet crematorium into the urn that we had chosen. Lost our ferret milo last Monday he was such a sweet boy. Had him cremated by these via my vets in cramlington. Got him back a week later in a lovely presented box with him inside in his beautiful urn well protected cushioned by the shredded papery stuff packed inside. Also accompanied by an evolope containing proof of individual cremation and information how to access the different urns/boxes if needed. Couldnt fault anything. I have used the Pet Crematorium 10 years ago for my beloved pony so I knew the service was good. Our old ex race horse had not been enjoying his life and the time came to say our goodbyes. Once again the Pet Crem people made the process of organising his collection so easy , at such a upsetting time this is such a great relief because your mind is all over! The respect and dignity shown to our boy was so lovely and fitting for his last journey. We chose this time to have a communal cremation ,due to the fact we had such a time with my pony deciding where to bury him! Paid to have our dog picked up from vets and brought back home,after cremation. Phoned to see if we could collect instead so they did same day service for us because we had paid for mileage home. When we collected the place was loverly and peaceful, staff nice and friendly. The staffie casket we chose is lovely quality and a nice tribute to our Tyson. I used the pet crematorium on Monday to say goodbye to my beautiful horse of 24 years Darwin. I was too upset to arrange this myself over the phone, so my friend and husband did this on my behalf with ease, and Darwin was collected a very short time later which I was very grateful for. Unfortunately Darwin's health took a major decline over a matter of 24 hours, so I had been unable to prepare myself with knowledge around horse cremation and the options I could choose prior to having him put to sleep. At the time the arrangements were made I chose a communal cremation for Darwin. However, once home I became upset and worried that by choosing a communal cremation for Darwin opposed to an individual one, I had let my boy down and that this option may have been in some way less dignified or respectful. With my thoughts about this eating away at me, I contacted the Pet Crematorium explaining my worries and received a very kind email back from a lady called Laura. She advised that all pets are treated with the same level of respect, dignity and care regardless of which cremation is chosen, and assured me that by choosing a communal cremation for Darwin I have not chosen a less dignified goodbye to beloved boy. Laura also advised that Darwin's ashes will be scattered in their memorial gardens, which are a beautiful final resting place, and under normal circumstances can be visited to lay trinkets/memorials and I plan to do this when allowed. Thank you to all at the Pet Crematorium for looking after my boy with the care and respect he truly deserved.

I can not recommend Forget me not enough. On Thursday morning I had to mate the dreaded call the one no pet owner whats to make. I was a sobbing mess on the phone but on the end of the line was the sweet soft compassionate voice of Lucinda she kept me calm and answered all my questions and give me advice on things I didnt even think of. I arrived at forget me not with my furbaby and was shown to a beautiful Chapel of rest for pets it was a beautiful touch i was not expecting. The gentleman let me have all the time i needed to say good by to my boy. nothing was to much trouble for them and really made a horrible day a lot easier i will be forever grateful to them all thank you so so much. Anyone reading this is doing so for a reason and I am sorry for your lose in this hard time please save your self the heart ache and contact forget me not

I had to have my border collie of 15 years put to sleep on 5th October.I knew she would go to pet crematorium and I have to say they were brilliant. On two occasions I rang with enquiries I was treated with respect and kindness.The urn I received her ashes in came inside a lovely box seated on a satin pillow,which was really nice. Obviously I went through Wright vets in birtley for this but if you want a crematorium with high standards to arrange yourself,please look no further.

My dog recently passed and the scatter tube we recierec back was lovely, my mother gave the vets the wrong spelling of the name and I emailed the crematorium and they almost instantly sent out a new certificate and sticker for the tube with the correct spelling, 10/10 customer service, the woman I spoke with was so lovely and helpful. I'm writing my review on behalf of my friend she received her little dogs ashes today the box and everything was beautiful our only issue is that the spelling of the dogs name was wrong on the certificate and little box and we are aware that it's the vet who gave yourselves the information shona was really upset and we were wondering if it would be possible for a replacement certificate and sticker on her ashes of her name sticker spelt correctly susie was a very much loved little yorkie dog who gave us 17 wonderful fun filled years and we really hope that you can send her a new certificate and sticker for the box her ashes are in we tried contacting the vet but got no response I hope you can help us thank you for the wonderful service its just the incorrect spelling of her name that made us pretty sad 😔 I hope you can help us when I contact you directly now we found phone number and email address but as I've already said she came home in a case and satin material around her little box it's beautiful thank you so much
