Following a flare up of an old injury, I struggled at the start of the year with considerable lower back and neck pain. After a thorough assessment and initial treatment by Steven, the pain eased significantly after my first session. A further two treatment sessions, alongside strengthening exercises to practice at home, resulted in being almost completely pain free. Cannot recommend Steven and his ChiroProActive team highly enough!

First, I booked an appointment with Dr Steven and explained my back issues and pelvis pain. After two sessions, I haven't only felt that my pain is gone, but also my core muscles got stronger especially abdominal ones. I also found his training exercises that he gave me really tangible in my core stability. Not to mention his lifting tips and focusing on my posture during gym and sitting exercises and that corrected many mistakes and made me stronger. I know I'll miss his appointments after leaving Glasgow.

I went to Steve initially with a niggle in my shoulder that was impacting my weight training and causing pain down my arm. After an extremely thorough consultation, he was able to identify the cause of this, as well as some other issues I was experiencing like frequent headaches and jaw pain from grinding my teeth. With just three sessions, my headaches are gone and my shoulder feels great! There is even a visible different in the alignment of my back and shoulders! I really appreciate how Steve took the time to explain every test and treatment he performed, as well as adjusting the rehab exercises for my level of fitness and training. He also made sure that if something was to flare up again, I would know how to address this myself without having to go straight back to see him. Highly recommend!

Went to see Steve back in June with a back issue that flared up again after returning to work from Maternity Leave. Steve is very thorough and after a short course of appointments he had the initial pain and discomfort addressed for me. I have moved on to maintenance now and through exercises at home and an appointment every 8 weeks I am pain free and building up the strength in my weaker areas. Definitely recommend.

There are simply no words to describe the feeling of being free from pain. With a history of back issues, I had seen many chiros and physios for over 12 years, but nothing had seemed to work for more than a few hours/days of pain relief. However, over the past 18 months my back pain was so severe (SI joint dysfunction) that I decided to try using a Chiro once again. This time, it was with Steve Collins. It was and a totally different experience. Unlike a typical chiropractor, Steve does not start manipulation work to promote temporary relief. Even though I am a cynic by nature, I continued to place my trust in his advice, consistently asking him to reconfirm that "it is possible for me to be pain free". Like I said, words cannot describe what it feels like to now be pain free. If you are suffering with back pain, please go and visit Steve. If there is one word to describe Steve's approach it would be "bespoke", and if there were two words to describe YOU as Steve's patient, it would need to be "trust and commitment".

I cannot recommend Steve more highly. He is a dedicated professional who is excellent at what he does. What sets Steve apart from others is his commitment to finding long-term solutions to problems rather than simply treating the symptoms. He created a rehab programme for me in order to ease my pain in the long-term. In my case he has communicated with my gym pt and my GP in order advance my progress. I am very grateful for all of his help and support.

I first saw Steve about this time last year, I'd injured my thigh playing football and needed some expert help. From my first visit my experience with ChiroProActive was excellent. At every stage Steve explained the problem and outlined my options giving the reasoning and the outcomes I could expect. At first I struggled with the at-home exercises but Steve talked me through it and made sure I got it right. After three visits I saw a huge improvement and was back to playing sports at the same level in a couple of months. Steve gave me tips to prevent similar injuries in future and using his advice I've kept myself healthy. I recommend ChiroProActive to anyone who's experienced an injury to their muscles.

I went to Steven with a pain in my lower back which was moving down my leg during bending over or sitting down and performing daily tasks. This pain was also preventing me from going to the gym and performing any kind of physical exercise. After the first visit I noticed within two / three days that the pain was significantly lower. The nature of my work requires very long sittings. Steven Colins is a magician. I had been suffering from burning thighs and hips pain for at least 10 years now. 10/10 - Steve is the best healthcare professional I have met after 7 years, in 4 different countries, trying to find solutions to my lower back problems. Thorough and meticulous, Steve spent a considerable amount of time understanding my issues, across my whole body (not just where I feel pain) and understanding my day-to-day life, to not only provide pain relief on the spot with releases, a massage gun and acupuncture, but also with home exercises with movements that translate into my day-to-day life. After a bad flare-up in October, I turned to private healthcare for the first time. I was diagnosed with scoliosis and degenerative disc disease when I turned 18 (7 years ago). Steve asked questions about both conditions, but also my other injuries, identifying relationships with previous injuries to my ankle, knee, and general tightness in my neck all being related via the spine, lower back and hip. He is the first professional who systematically looked at my body from my head to my toes, prescribing exercises and treatments for all parts of my body. Being a student, transitioning to private healthcare was a difficult decision financially, but worth it overall. Before seeing Steve at ChiroProActive, I was mainly seeing an Osteopath and occasionally a traditional Chinese doctor for acupuncture, while waiting for the NHS to provide me with a physio (again). Steve has essentially condensed all this down, saving me money and time. The exercises I get given to work on at home have been more effective than those prescribed by my NHS physio. The 'releases' and deep tissue massage, in addition to the acupuncture, seem to work better overall when delivered coherently by one professional than when previously split across two different professionals (Osteopath and acupuncture). Finally, Steve is passionate about his discipline and has made many references to 'research' and 'literature'. This personally gave me great confidence, as he is clearly engaged in understanding developments in his field and giving modern forms of treatment. Overall, I cannot recommend Steve and ChrioProActive enough!

From the initial evaluation to where I am now two months later I can whole heartedly say Steven's work with me as a chiropractor has been thorough, significant and very professional. I have had a neck problem for 7+ years from falling down stairs. I have undergone NHS physiotherapy amongst other things, all of which have proven unsuccessful in providing me with any significant relief from my neck, head and jaw pain which can at times be deeply burdensome. Through manipulation, deep massage, posture adjustment, bespoke prescribed exercises, acupuncture and more, I have slowly been seeing measurable proof in my progress. I came to Steven initially with problems lifting things ( particularly heavy things ) over my head and have been watching my numbers increase in lifts such as over-head press. My pain is reduced to tolerable levels and improving. I have also been patiently guided to an understanding that to truly remedy a problem I have endured for almost a decade that I must patiently and diligently fix damaging postures and behaviours that have reinforced the damaged tissue around my neck. If you're looking for a practical, methodical and truly care-oriented approach to your physical problems then this is the place to go.

Steven was a life saver! I was on Holiday from the US and my back seized up where I was unable to walk! I overextended throwing a punch while training 3 years ago, it seemed to clear up after a week, but after bending down to pick something up, something else in my back went pop. During the subsequent 3 years I had seen a Physio's (private & NHS), as well as an osteopath. I had a preconception that Chairopractors were on par with witch doctors and I wasn't going to waste my time or money on them. I started to get pretty bad pains in my back, so in desperation I thought i'd give a Chairopractor a shot so I googled and found one with good reviews, found Steve. He listened to my story and didn't just write my pain/discomfort off as due to my desk job / posture, he pointed out the problem areas without any indication from me and also picked up on a weakness in my leg from an operation I had over 15 years ago. Within a few days I was sleeping better and I feel like my body is improving as each week goes by. I would seriously recommend anyone experiencing pain or discomfort with their body to book an initial consultation, you won't be disappointed.

I cannot recommend Steven enough. I was literally carried in here with the most excruciating pain and spasms, in my spine which was taking my breath away. Within 3 sessions over 4 days and one day of complete rest, Steven had me on my feet by session 4. After session one, he even rang the next day to ask me how I was. I mean the service was incredible. His professionalism and expertise is second to none. Two weeks later now and he is continuing to help me to full recovery, conservatively. He takes it at my pace, is so reassuring, and honestly, he really is incredible at what he does. If you need a chiropractor, Steven is your guy. Amazing. And thank you, Steven. It was a few years ago I went for a session with Steven I was getting really bad sciatica and after a couple of good back,neck and shoulder cracks a few rolling exercises and stretches plus he recommended some home exercises I had no sciatica problems
