Another fantastic boiler install by Darren and his team. Contacted him on Saturday afternoon after one of our tenants reported their boiler had packed in during the night. Darren attended on Monday morning and he had the new boiler supplied and fitted the same day. The tenant and landlord were absolutely delighted with the service and workmanship. Would recommend to anyone who requires a boiler change.

I contacted Glasgow Boiler Repairs because my boiler broke down & I’d been planning on getting a new one anyway. Darren came out that day to have a look & gave me a couple of different boiler options including one which would fit into the cabinet the old one was housed in so it meant it wouldn’t ruin the aesthetic of the kitchen. He fitted an Ideal Logic boiler & Hive thermostat the following morning so from initial contact to installation, the whole process only took 24 hours - that’s quicker than some Amazon deliveries! The service & communication was great, & it was excellent value for money. I love being able to control my heating from my phone. Thank you!

After years of getting my boiler serviced by the 'accredited' servicing company for my boiler make i tried these guys instead. Full marks to JS, no fuss approach and knowledgeable. I moved into my current house and ran the old boiler until it couldn’t be fixed again. Plenty of obscene quotes later I got Darren around who measured up and came back with a quote in days. Unreal price. Then the day of the install. The guys who came to do it were like a well oiled machine. I was on back to back video calls all day. I didn’t hear a thing. They started at 8:30am and by 1:30pm after the roofers had been to do their bit, the job was done. Budget limitations meant at the time I couldn’t get the new radiators in like I wanted. However when finances allow I will be getting them back to do those for me. Don’t entertain anyone else. Darren and his team are fantastic! Would definitely use again!

Fab efficient boiler service by Jordan! Emailed Darren's email on 22 September and had boiler service booked in for 27 September. I had my boiler replaced and three radiators fitted by Darren and his colleagues. Darren promptly came out to give me a quote and was able to fit me in within a week, the quote was very competitive and communication was excellent throughout. I contacted Darren the evening after my boiler was fitted as I was unhappy with the pipework (personal preferance rather than poor plumbing) and he came out the next evening to rectify it and did an excellent job. We had a new boiler fitted and our old one removed in September 2018. Glasgow Boiler Repairs responded very quickly to my request for a quote. Darren came to our flat and carried out an assessment and then offered us 3 very competitive quotes. The boiler was fitted in one day and the work was all completed in one day. Amazing customer service from start to finish, after being let down by 5 other companies, including our insurance company, Darren came out within a few hours and had our heating and hot water working in under an hour! I highly recommend Darren from Glasgow Boiler Repairs. He came round within an hour of calling. He took time to consider the problem and thoroughly inspect the boiler and environment. He identified that the underlying problem was related to an issue with the flue in the roof causing water ingress. He advised me that the best thing would be to get a roofer to take a proper look because to repair the boiler and leave the fault further up would just mean a recurrence and further expensive repair down the line. The roofer absolutely confirmed that Darren was correct and fixed the problem with the roof. Darren refused to take any payment as he was unable to resolve the issue himself owing to the issue beingon the roof. He was also able to give good advice about who would be best to attend to my boiler which was still under warranty. I would happily have paid for his time but he declined. It is refreshing to meet a tradesman with such honesty and integrity. His advice was also bang on. I am very thankful for his guidance.

We needed a power flush on our central heating system and Glasgow Boiler Repairs were less than half the price quoted by Scottish Gas. Jamie worked all day flushing the system and spent time balancing each radiator. The magnets in his powerful machine managed to extract lots of sludge and now the house is toasty and we’re hoping to se a reduction in fuel bill over winter. Highly recommend this firm.

Very happy I went with this company for a new boiler - Darren turned up at time agreed to arrange quote which I thought was competitive - he also impressed me with his approach - information/advice imparted without any sales pitch. Brian and Stewart arrived at time/day arranged and install went without a hitch.

Very impressed with this company. I called as my boiler had shut down. Angela got me to give a detailed description of the boiler over the phone and send pictures, having established the problem was probably simply that the water pressure had dropped and the boiler had shut down into safety mode. Once she received the pictures, she sent a detailed description of what to do, and within less than a minute or two, the boiler started up and the radiators and water soon returned to full heat. Some companies would have sent out an engineer, charged a call out fee and have spent no longer than me to fix it and charged another fee. I would have no hesitation in calling them for a more complicated problem or even a replacement boiler. Highly recommended for their attitude and service.

Started the hunt for a new boiler / installer end of August & suddenly became overwhelmed with info. Darren came out to see old boiler and gave various quotes based on different boiler models - he dealt with all my questions via email after his visit. Booked boiler installation easily a few weeks ago with a date that suited us both - boiler installed today, 14th November. Jamie Barnes, who works for Darren's company, came out on time and removed old boiler which was in a tricky location in kitchen. He did all prep work to get Gloworm boiler installed - new flu and additions to existing pipes plus magnetic filter. Great service. Darren came out at very short notice to give me a quote for a new boiler when my old boiler broke down and was deemed beyond repair by my energy supplier. His quote was £1000 cheaper than that of my energy supplier and he was able to give me much more detailed information on the work required and the options available than they had. Jamie, who installed the boiler was also excellent. The job was not entirely straight forward and involved a complete replacement of the main gas pipe from outside as the old boiler having been installed with the wrong size of pipes before I bought the house. The new boiler was fitted and a new outside gas pipe put in all within one day and everything was done to a very high standard with clear explanations of what was being done and why. Would highly recommend them to anyone considering a boiler replacement or repair.

Darren was extremely responsive! I called Darren when the boiler quit during my morning shower. He was able to be at the flat by 13:00 the same day. He gave the boiler a once over and got it working. A few days later it started acting up again. Water temp dropping off and then coming back. After doing this for a few days it quit all together. I contacted him via his website and again he was very responsive. He came out the next day and sorted the problem and did not charge me for the second visit. Great service.

We got our old clapped out boiler and boilermate replaced with Worchester Bosch, involving a lot of work to deal with redundant pipes, and tank, connecting the water supply under kitchen cabinets and building a condensate pipe across the inside of the garage wall and out to the drain pipe. Darren gave us a good price and Jamie and Andy, who did the job, were brilliant. When we weren’t happy with a fancy ‘touch technology’ thermostat they came out again and replaced it with another model without any hassle. Brilliant service from quote to fitting. Staff were friendly, helpful and very knowledgable. At no point did I feel there was a sales pitch to buy a particular product only solid advice on products that would meet our requirements. After care for product was offered and an invoice was only presented after the work was completed and had a few days to settle and at that point we were offered assistance in case we had any issues. Darren visited to fit a new timer on the boiler. A separate fault with the pressure developed a couple of days later and Darren returned to patiently work out the problem and resolve it. Contacted the company as part of a series of quotes for a new boiler. Darren arrived at the time promised and the quote was by far the most competative. I arranged a suitable date for installation and the fitter arrived when promised. Due to the location of the valve to switch the water off he had to cut a hole in the floorboard to access it. I authorised him to do this expecting a large access panel cut out. I was surprised and pleased to find a small hole that would have made it harder for him. Fitter then fitted a valve in a place easier to access. Boiler works perfect and place was spotless. I paid the fitter direct. The next day i received an invoice for payment. When i queried i received an apology and receipt within 10 minutes. Very impressed with the company and service and would highly recommend. Will definately use for future services

I have been very impressed with the professionalism of, and communication with, Glasgow Boiler Repairs. I called on a Thursday for a quote to replace 37-year old boiler. I received three options for different boilers and chose the most expensive, with a 7-year warranty. The boiler was fitted the following Tuesday. Unfortunately, the change from a gravity-fed system to mains pressure and a pressurized system caused the shower mixer to fail and a radiator to pin-hole. Glasgow boiler repairs isolated the problem he next day and fitted a new radiator and mixer shower within a few days. Easy to deal with, helpful and professional. Thank you.

Darren has been working on a new central heating system and full re-plumb on a commercial sized project for me. The project is a large scale and complex system and we had a number of people quote for it. Quite a few people who came out to quote walked away because the job was too big for them. Others came back with astronomical prices. Darren came up with very sensible solutions that sounded much more practical than some of the other contractors and his price was a fraction of what some other people quoted. The whole team have worked incredibly hard on the project and have been there late in the evenings and working over weekends to get the job done. They have been incredibly cooperative working with the other trades onsite to make sure the project comes together. It has been a difficult job but when faced with challenges they have focused on finding solutions rather than complaining. And unlike a lot of other contractors who have been on the job who have tried to bump up their price after the work started, Darren hasn't once tried to do that. I really could not recommend this business highly enough. And if they can take on a job like this, they can take on anything!

I'd used GBR once before so had no hesitation about using them again. My boiler packed in over the Easter w/e - no heat or hot water. I rang them and an engineer came out the same day and fixed the problem quick smart having explained the problem clearly to me. Rate was very reasonable and they'll be the first people I go to for a quote for a replacement boiler once life gets back to normal as this creaky old thing is now 13 years old and ready to retire.

We needed a new boiler fast after dodgy work from Scottish Power on my old boiler, it was January and I had been left without heating by Scottish Power for three weeks as my holier broke on NY day and they couldn’t get parts, I have a three years old so it was pretty grim. Darren gave us a quote and Jamie came out and within a few hours we had a new good boiler at a decent price. Jamie was an expert. Scottish power had also supposedly drained my radiators on a visit to fix my boiler they did not do this properly and Jamie came back out a week later to do this for us, thank you Darren and Jamie for a job well done and truly caring.

It was refreshing to find someone who didn’t have an annoying sales pitch or try to sell me things I didn’t need. He also noticed the current gas pipe feeding into the boiler was only 15mm and included the exact cost of the work required to change it in my quote. Every other company failed to notice or mention this. His quote was also the most competitive by far. The guys who fitted the boiler were very hardworking and professional. It wasn't a straightforward job and could have taken more than a day to complete, but they didn’t stop working all day to get it finished in time. The new radiators are perfect for the rooms and my flat is a lot warmer. Will be recommending to friends and family.

My boiler was losing pressure. Having used GBR recently for a gas safety check which was carried out promptly, I had no hesitation to call them. Again they attended promptly and diagnosed the problem as needing a new divertor valve and quoted a fair price for the part and labour then re attended to carryout the work. "A Credit to The Industry" I contacted this company for a quote to replace an ancient system boiler with a new combi. Darren visited the property the next day and provided me with a competitive and detailed quotation for what was not a straightforward job. I had another quote from another company that was slightly cheaper but they weren't prepared to do half of the things that Darren was quoting for. In fact, the other company provided no details, other than the price until I asked what they would be including. So I put my faith in GBR because I felt confident they were going to do the job properly, and without cutting any corners. The job was carried out a few days later and I'm very pleased with the outcome. My boiler stopped working about 3pm on a Friday afternoon for the 3rd time in 2 months, I called a company that I had paid previously to repair the boiler who weren't interested in returning to properly resolve the issue. I also called a couple of other companies first and none of them seemed interested in coming out to repair my boiler as it was a Friday afternoon. I then called Glasgow Boiler Repairs to see if they could fix my boiler. One of their engineers was at my property in the Clydebank area before 4.30pm and fixed my boiler within 20 mins or so. A very profession service and I would highly recommend them to anyone. Whilst looking at my boiler they recommended that my condensate pipe be altered as it would lead to problems again in the future. They returned the next day to alter the condensate pipe for a very reasonable price and I haven't had an issues since.

Our previous boiler had been playing up for some time when we called on Darren Westwood at Glasgow Boiler repairs. He called at our house made some excellent suggestions and provided us with all the necessary info to make an informed choice about a new boiler. He then provided us with two very reasonable quotes for Worcester Bosch Greenstar 36CDi and the Intergas Combi Compact EcoRF 36 boiler (which we opted for - Worcester Bosch are better known than Intergas but there are less parts in the Intergas than the Worcester - with less to go wrong) and he was able to arrange for the installation work to be carried out the following week. (In terms of the cons of the Intergas the only thing ‘Which’ states is: ‘Intergas are a relatively new brand and engineers aren't quite ready to go out of their way to recommend them, YET.’ Whereas ‘Which’ in terms of the Pros states: ‘Intergas have a good reliability record and engineers think they have good build quality.’) One of his engineers, a very pleasant and helpful young man Jamie Barnes called at our house promptly at the pre-arranged time and then carried out all the necessary work within the day. Jamie was very easy to have in our home, respectful at all times and by the evening we had a snug house with hot radiators and piping hot water in our shower - [something we appreciate more than even having done without it for some 4 or more weeks prior to our decision to replace our existing boiler]. In the light of our experience we have no hesitation in recommended Glasgow Boiler Repairs - in terms of their efficiency and skill in undertaking the work and in terms of their pricing. An excellent and informed service provider, and the Intergas Boiler comes with a ten year Parts and Labour Warranty from Glasgow Boiler Repairs.

I had had problems with our boiler for a long time: pressure dropping rapidly and needed to top up daily, very erratic burner action, causing all kinds of faults at random times, loud pump action (since often running dry). I had several engineers' visits over a year's time but fixes seemed to be rather short-lived. This time I called Glasgow Boiler Repairs and overall was really impressed with their promptness, professionalism and efficacy. An engineer came in early in the morning after the initial call on the previous afternoon and gave a free of charge diagnosis - I decided to go ahead with the recommendations and had the pump and valve replaced, as well as an expansion vessel installed, which happened 2 days later. The quoted cost was reasonable and in fact they only got in touch with payment details after a couple of days, at the same time making sure everything was working. Since there still appeared to be some issues with the burner, an engineer came in again on the following morning and found out the thermostat needed replacing as well, which he duly did on the same visit (with a small charge for the part only). Since then everything seems to be working fine and I'm very happy with their services, competence and working attitude. Would definitely recommend and use again.

Honestly can't rate the guys at GBR enough. First time going through the hassle of having gas central heating fitted to replace an outdated electric storage heater system, and was warned by friends it would be an utter nightmare. Instead experienced a far easier few days, purely due to GBRs undertaking of the job. Communication from the very beginning was fantastic and incredibly patient (I had at least a hundred questions before the work even began, and every last email and point was responded to). The job itself was dealt with quickly and professionally - any issues or surprises were completely taken care of, the guys were incredibly courteous and helpful, and despite being an obviously very busy bunch I was repeatedly made to feel like a genuine priority. I was so nervous about whether I'd chosen the right company for my first experience of a renovation of this size, and I needn't have been; GBR was one of the cheapest quotes I received for the work, but the service I received was worth far more. Called at 9.30am and spoke to very friendly chap who asked detailed questions and was able to diagnose over the phone (a fairly common problem with my boiler it turns out). Engineer texted to let me know roughly when they would be there and estimated cost around 11.30am. Two engineers arrived at 1pm and within 30minutes the boiler was fixed, and they even took steps to prevent the issue from happening again. Now sat looking out the window at freezing fog enjoying my nice toasty house. Cannot recommend these guys enough, will be using them in the future for servicing and repair.
