Remote but remarkably well preserved. Be careful as you explore.

An amazing piece of history, which you can currently access and freely investigate. The site includes houses, workshops, engine house, gardens, and of course the light house. You can also walk down the steps to the dock & boathouse.
It's still possible to climb up into the main section of the lighthouse, where the views out to Bute & Arran are amazing.
I'd recommend wearing wellies if you are walking from the other side of the island, and there's been any rain, as some of the paths were like rivers when I visited.

Excellent place with beautiful views on Peace Island as it is named by Baba Ramdev. Everything just become standstill if you immerse with in yourself. There is calm and peace. Blissful place, you will worth staying a few days to introspect. We stayed 4 days and it was a wonderful experience. There is a lot of natural beauty to explore. Sea is calm generally but mountains are scenic and alluring. We would go again and have more exportation. Its green and peaceful, and no disturbance, Internet still works despite of seemingly being cut off from the world. Enjoy the days.

Unfortunately now in a derelict state. This amazing lighthouse was the very first to be built by the famous lighthouse engineer Robert Stevenson the grandfather of Robert Louis Stevenson.

All abandoned so old machines, chairs and items are all still there to be discovered
