A lovely area to walk around to see different types of wildlife. My son and I particularly like the heron that is in residence! If you’re not local, parking can be an issue. I recommend parking further out and walking in. Don’t be dismayed if approaching from Saintbridge Surgery side (as I did on my first visit), the path continues onwards and around the entire pond. The balancing pond is not just comprised of the wooded area.

No tickets required. The Balancing pond is such a peaceful place to visit, it’s so quiet and sometimes you catch glimpses of some nature!

The guys at FOSPNR are doing an absolute amazing job, it is now a lovely place to sit and relax with nature all around. Wish some people would clear up after themselves so people like these wouldn’t have to do so much, but as a local and a frequent visitor it makes me happy to see their good work paying off

Nice place to stop and see some wildlife. Lots of ducks and other birds plus a large rat colony. Also a walk through some woodland but inaccessible to any one with wheel chair or mobility issues.

love the walk fab dog walking area and is ace to see the ducks, squirrels and even rats living around the area. Have a little sit down and enjoy the nature and listen to the birds!

A lovely place for a walk. Smooth paths make pushing a buggy or taking a wheelchair around easy, there are some inclines to contend with however, these are small. The pond itself has some nice birds and wildlife, foxes can be spotted in quieter moments. Lots of dog walkers around here. There is a nice field where kids play football and dogs can run around. Right by the allotments as well, in the spring and summer this is a nice lively area.

A peaceful yet busy area with a wild range of flora and fauna. I have currently visited the pond for over 130 consecutive days and theres something different every day. I reccomend it for whatever suits you.

Nice area for dog walks. Looked after by a group of volunteers who do a good job. Shame people have to litter. Often see loads of rats by the area of the pond where people go to feed the ducks due to too much food being thrown down.

A lovely pond open to everybody, it was so nice to go and see members of the community out and about during the day, all ages too. I found this place randomly as yesterday was really hot and needed to take my dog on a walk that had access to water. Would go back.

Such a beautiful pond, but such a shame the swans can't stay and nest anymore. This is due to the pond becoming to shallow and sliting. I love walking my dogs and I love walking round to visit the ducks with my children.

In dire need of dredging and a clean up. Could be a haven for wildlife, not just gulls ( to be fair, saw an egret!!). In years passed one could fish here. Sadly no longer! Too shallow. No fish

A lovely pond area with a small woodland walk backed by an amazing allotment, such a pity youngsters deem it suitable to thrash mopeds around it scaring the wildlife and visitors alike.
