I have recently completed Community Interpreting Level 3. I wanted to thank you ISL team for absolutely fantastic and extremely informative course, your help and support.
My tutor always replied to my email, and she was happy to answer any questions. This is an online course, but make no mistake, my tutor and language specialist were quite strict, and always wanted the assignment to be done to the highest standards. Role play assignments and Sight translations were done over the Skype. Again, very professional process (very stressful for me, as I have never communicated through the Skype before, so if you have an opportunity - practice, practice, practice!).
Overall, I am very satisfied with the whole experience, and should I have an opportunity in the future, I will definitely choose ISL again!

This is a very enjoyable and instructive course that taught me a lot. I enjoyed the learning process. The course was hard work but really worth the effort. My assessor and language specialist were both chosen by ISL. My assessor was more than perfect. She was very helpful and gave me excellent, invaluable guidance and did it all efficiently, with a smile and she was very approachable. My language specialist was not the same. Dealing with him was not the best experience.
I would recommend this course to anyone who is interested in studying the topic.
I am planning to continue learning in this field by studying and enrolling for further courses with ISL in the near future.
Thank you ISL.

This course is extremely practical and highly recommended. It provides a diverse range of activities, assignments and role-plays that help interpreters improve their cognitive and interpreting skills and therefore lead them to professionalism.
A big thank you to ISL staff, especially Pam Kaur ,the manager, and Taires Thomas, my learner support specialist for their support and professional assistance.I also would like to thank my tutor Ajub Janbaz and my language specialist Imad Hammode for their guidance .
It was a great pleasure to have such an amazing staff during my ISL learning experience. My Level 6 Diploma in community interpreting is going to open new horizons for me in the interpreting world, and therefore help me undertake higher level courses. Many thanks

Many thanks to the ISL staff and an exceptional thank you to Ms Pam Kaur for all the support and highly professional assistance she offered me during the course, I very much appreciate this.
I completely enjoyed the course and I fully recommend the DCI level 6 course to all future prospectives. I am definitely considering enrolling in another course with this school in the future.

I enrolled in the Community Interpreting course in 2015 and completed it successfully in 2016. The course enabled me to do what I always wanted, not to lose my own language skills and develop my English skills while enabling other parties to communicate.
I am glad I gained this qualification as more and more language service providers are demanding it. As the result of this qualification I have a better pay rate and solid foundation for the DPSI qualification if I decide to obtain it.
After completing my Interpreters qualification I decided to take another course,[ Assessing Competence in the Work Environment], with the same school. I have to admit the tutorial work is far more clear, straightforward and supportive. I am really enjoying this course! Or maybe I just learned how to study in the distance learning environment!?
Distant learning can be quite frustrating at times, if you are unfamiliar with it as there is no instant contact and you have to wait for your assessor to come back to you either via email, prearranged phone or Skype meeting. But once you are getting used to it, it is much more comfortable than class learning. Most importantly the personnel at ISL are very helpful.

My interpreting background goes back to 2010. I have interpreted for many agencies in the UK and abroad. I undertook DCI Level 6 with ISL in March 2019 and I successfully finished the course in September 2019. I have to confess, despite my interpreting experience, I've learned many valuable information and I progressed immensely. Without any shadow of doubts, I recommend DCI Level 6 course, it is very useful course for any linguist and the qualification is a recognised equivalent to DPSI.
Once again, many thanks to everyone in ISL and especially Pam Kaur.
ISL indeed consists of a bunch of PROFESSIONALS.

I started the course in January and the experience so far is very good. I had my queries sorted very soon and my assessor has always replied very soon. I find the course (Level 6 Community Interpreting) very challenging and rewarding. As my background is translating and interpreting I am enjoying the activities and the personal practice I do on a daily basis. Because of my personal circumstances I have periods when I cannot work as hard as I wish but then I have other periods that I can devote to the course completely, so the type of course and organisation is the perfect combination for me.

An absolute 100% of “YES YES” I have just finished my second qualification (Level 3 CI and Level 6 DCI) both very valuable and enjoyable. Uncalled feedback it was !... Happens, after achieving the level 6 I went to my local police station, unfortunately as a victim, and in the middle of my thorough explanation as to what had happened to meself the PSO whom I spoke with; got up, put her glasses on, smiled and asked “who are you William? And Why do you speak like a Policeman ? like we ?... Please imagine how tonic and boosting confidence that was, and obviously everything thanks for ISL. The level 6 DCI qualification, its structure all written assignment commands got me through very interesting research project and I attained a relevant vocabulary and skills before stepping in the field of law interpreting. Cannot wait to receive my certificate to apply for NRPSI’s membership and embark on my journey as a FULLY QUALIFIED INTERPRETER. I would like to thank all ISL’s staff for providing and creating such an amazing training centre.

I am sure everybody agrees with me that you are making an amazing difference in peoples life`s, at least from my point of view you are doing a wonderful job teaching and preparing the future interpreters. Also, it`s not just that, because that can be done by any teacher or person, but it`s about the dedication you and your team put into helping students accomplish what they start out. Furthermore, when all is said and done you are still there to make sure everything is finished in accordance with the demands of the awarding body so that no one can fail. Thank you for going above and beyond in helping us reach more than our own expectations.

A very educational and developing course, a great support and help from the staff.
However don't be mislead by this- all the arduous work needs to be done to the point, but it is worth it.
It was a great experience in my life and I am going to return to the school to do some more modules in the future.
