I am currently in the middle of my treatment with Epoch who have been supporting me with chronic headaches that I have experienced for many years and have also been helping massively to get my autonomic nervous system regulated again after struggling with long covid. Tom is brilliant his knowledge and care has been excellent and I fully trust him which is not something that comes naturally to me. Tom and the team create a relaxing atmosphere at Epoch, they are all very friendly and helpful, nothing is ever to much. I see Tom regularly for treatment, also my partner and my daughter are treated by Tom. The whole team has a wealth of knowledge and have a lot of patience for a lot of questions from my daughter. Absolutely amazing service. I struggled to walk when first starting at Epoch. Started with a very thorough assessment followed by treatment from Sarah. She was at all times incredibly professional. Sarah also spent time to explain what she was doing to my young daughter who found this fascinating. Right from initially walking through the door the staff make you feel welcome and like you matter to them. I contacted Epoch Lincoln due to three months of chronic neck and shoulder pain from tendonitis. From my first evaluation at Epoch through my course of adjustments Dr. John has been fantastic. Epoch treat each patient with friendly and clearly explained care. Helping you to understand the course of adjustments they are going to use and supporting you at every stage. After the first 12 weeks of treatment my pain was hugely improved and by the end of the second 12 weeks of treatment almost completely gone. I am currently a little over half way through my treatment with Epoch and specifically Dr. Lewis Sumner. I am a massive skeptic and don’t like spending money! So right from the get go I was very conscious and wary about paying for the treatment, after trying everything else with no success! But from the moment I walked In everybody made me feel extremely welcomed and comfortable and the changes I have had already felt and had in my body have been huge for me, I’ve gone from entering the clinic with excruciating back pain even walking 1 mile or so and getting severe re-occuring migraines 3/4 times a week, to being able to run 5k and more and barely having even a mild headache, maybe a couple of times in one month. At one point I even searched “how do I become a Chiropractor”!! I can honestly say this has been one of the best decisions I have made in recent years, monetarily and health wise. Also all the staff are great, chatty, Positive people even when you go in on a bad day, they cheer you up for sure! So a big thank you to you guys. Keep up the amazing work Lewis! I attended Epoch Lincoln following years of increasingly frequent episodes of severe lower back pain. I'm so glad I did. The staff are welcoming and very knowledgeable. They have worked wonders in slowly correcting my posture and alignment and I haven't suffered anything more than occasional mild discomfort (usually my fault for either not sticking to the tailored stretching exercises they provide, or just overdoing it) and after one visit, it's gone. I cant recommend them enough. Even in these trying financial times, it's worth every penny. What price your health and freedom of movement?

Katrina McGinley I’m giving a 5 * review to this business, I’m now going into my third phase of treatment which is maintenance… 1 treatment a month. I will carry on having treatments here with John for the foreseeable future as the difference it has made is incredible and we all need to look after our health, our body is our actual home we live in and we need to look after it to the best of our ability. The clinic is an amazing communal clinic, you get to see other people having treatment which has a calming influence if you are anxious, no undressing necessary but gym wear is ideal to wear. All the staff are great, very warm and friendly, you are always greeted by your name and there’s lots of tips and advice given by the staff, they have a fun but factual question on a black board daily. My big shout out is to John who has treated me, he is just the best, I can’t think of the words to do him justice, he’s kind, caring, knowledgeable, empathetic, humble and obviously an excellent chiropractor! Sam who does your progress assessments is also a great guy as are all the reception team. I would highly recommend this practice 5 ***** from me.

A few weeks back I had really badly hurt my neck to the point where I couldn't move it left and right without serious pain. I spoke to a few friends and they all recommended Epoch Lincoln. The receptionist was lovely on the phone and instantly I felt welcome.I was told I'd be meeting Lewis who would then subsequently be taking care of me. Upon my arrival I was warmly greeted and offered a glass of infused water and then shown around the whole building. Epoch is extremely clean and tidy and glittered with information about how to look after your body, your mind and also first names of patients are written on boards, welcoming new and rewarding old. Lewis welcomed me into a side room where he asked me tons of questions are about myself, wellbeing, health and then took photographs and xrays to find out my issues. Upon leaving Lewis then smiled and said I'm confident I can fix you. I knew I was going to be in good hands. Now a fair few sessions down the line I'm feeling great and Lewis constantly tells me my body is responding brilliantly. Simply put, all the staff are lovely and Lewis has magic hands! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Epoch and Dr. Tom Waller were recommended by my physio after he told me he couldn't help me. I was in extreme pain and desperately needed help but I was nervous of trying Chiropractic care. I need not have worried. Everyone at EPOCH works as a team. They are always welcoming with big smiles and you are put at ease instantly. Not an easy task with myself who is not a people person and I am very much don't touch me or come near me. Each person is treated as the individual they are, everything is explained in a way that can be understood and epoch are very accommodating to individual's needs. You are treated as a whole person, not just the problem you go with which really helps with your mindset and getting your body better. It's not just your appointment where you get help. They have an amazing website, very interesting and fun talks by Dr. Tom monthly and always something posted to their Facebook page. Not forgetting the webinars. There is an immense amount of extremely helpful information available. I was sick of hearing from medical people that I am fat and old. I am not at retirement age yet but yes I am overweight. I thought I would be too fat for treatment. I have never been made to feel fat or old at EPOCH and its never been mentioned in that way. Just very helpful advice when I have asked. I feel so much better in myself and now I am more mobile thanks to Dr. Tom's amazing treatment I hope to lose some weight as I can now move more and had advice on diet that fits in with my lifestyle. I am so glad I took that big step for me and contacted them. I have never done anything for myself before. I am now getting a good life back and looking forwards to the future. How does a person say a really BIG thank you for For giving me my mobility and independence back well by leaving a review. I first got introduced to Epoch from a family member who heard it from the window cleaner. By this point I was struggling with my mobility using crutches and unable to do daily activities and I was becoming less mobile daily. I was a little sceptical at first due to seeing other chiropractors with no improvement but I just had a good feeling so I gave them a call and booked in for my first meeting. As soon as I walked in the door I was made to feel welcome And after my first meeting I thought this was the right place that could help me but was still a little unsure. By the end of my second week of treatment I was able to put my crutches in the cupboard as I no longer needed them and with there help I just continue to go from strength to strength and my mobility improve dramatically but I’m still continuing to go for treatment. As well as working on my mobility they’ve also gave me great information on my general health and one part of it was they said treatment can also improve fertility which yet again I was very sceptical about due to my history but I do believe with EPOCH‘s help I can now say I am the proudest mummy to a happy and healthy baby boy so without Epoch I would not have got my life back so thank you to each and everyone of you for making this possible. I have been visiting the team for almost 6 weeks to seek help for constant neck pain and tension leading to excruciating headaches. From the moment I arrived to each subsequent session I have attended I have been made to feel so welcomed, valued and taken care of. Working with Dr Lewis to address the issues, he takes time to explain things in a way that is understandable and taking tremendous detail in working with you to find the most suitable care plan. 6 weeks down the line and several adjustments plus home stretching later- my headaches have almost completely gone with the benefits of increased posture and overall improved quality of life. The amount of knowledge covering many topics the team ensure you have, provided through various forums is fantastic. You Will NOT regret it! This place really has changed my life! I know people say that all the time but I’m only writing review as it’s so deserved! Ex-military & fitness professional my body was broken with 25yrs of damage. I was in chronic pain which was restricting every day life. After a few months of neck and shoulder pain, I was at my wits end, and decided to try a Chiropractor. As a busy business man, I wanted fast results, but knew there would be time to heal involved. I visited Tom and the team back in May 2020, all I can say is I should of gone earlier. I Typically left it until my lower neck injury became a big issue for me. Tom instantly made time for me and assessed my injury, clearly explaining the process I needed to go through and how I may of caused the injury. Once I started the sessions the pain instantly started to pass, along the way Tom and the team also monitored my progress and gave me an understanding of how better to look after my body. I've been going to see Tom since September 2020 and it is probably one of the best decisions I've ever made. You're first invited to an assessment where some very easy and unobtrusive tests are done. Tom then takes the time to explain what could be done to get you back to peak health, not just limited to his own chiropractic care but exercises that can help also. The centre manages to combine an air of relaxed and friendly with very professional. The girls on the front desk are always happy to see you and put any nerves you have to rest. I have been coming to Epoch for nearly 3 years, I have a long term issue which has been debilitating for many years, since having treatment with Tom at Epoch my quality of life has improved massively! I now have maintenance adjustments and I definitely know about it if I miss one. The care facility is warm and welcoming the staff are so friendly and helpful, clients are encouraged (but not forced) to enjoy the weekly blog, they also provide online zoom meetings about various subjects to do with health and wellbeing (these used to be held in the centre but due to the pandemic they have been made available to everyone at home). Recently my daughter has been seeing both Tom and Sarah for treatment on her shoulders which is related to her posture and the results have been amazing! She is in less pain and is standing much straighter! In such a short period of time we were very impressed with her treatment and the outcome so far! I highly recommend Epoch for anyone and everyone, the setting is open plan but still feels private with the addition of wooden screens. My daughter was nervous at first but now she loves it! I wanted to provide a review from someone who has been receiving treatment from Epoch for over a year. At the beginning of 2020, I headed to see Tom with some sciatica which had been troubling me and slowly getting worse over the previous months. From the moment I had my first assessment, Tom made everything clear and easy to understand. I started to learn more about how my body connects together and how something misaligned in one area, can cause symptoms somewhere else. The x-rays and assessment allowed me to see just how bad my posture was at 33. The women in my family tend to end up hunched over by the time they reach their 60s and they have to have hip and knee replacements and I didn't want to find myself in that category. After over a year, my sciatica is gone and my spin feels loose and mobile in a way it hadn't before. I've had back problems since I was 15 and I'd gotten used to that feeling of my spine being stuck. Tom and the team are friendly and supportive. I was able to attend sessions even during lockdown and the support and connection was important during that time. I now go on a monthly basis for adjustments and I always look forward to it. I hope to continue my chiropractic care with Epoch for as long as they're practicing. For the nitty, gritty part... Yes, it is a financial outlay if you want to really be dedicated to getting your health into a better place. It's unlikely you'll go just once or twice because you'll find that there are bigger things at play that have been buildings for years and need time to readjust. The adjustments don't take long and they don't hurt either. The relief and sense of alignment when you leave is perfect. I actually look forward to days when there are lots of cracks during my adjustments. The approach Epoch takes is a holistic one so be prepared to really look at everything from sleep, mindset, diet and exercise on your road to recovery. It's worth it but make sure you're in the right place to commit and attend a lot of sessions in the beginning. Overall, I can't speak highly enough for the team at Epoch. They create a positive atmosphere and they bring a lot of happy and supportive energy to the community they support. If you're ready to start your journey with them then I wish you a speedy road to a healthier mind and body.

I can not stress enough how In 4 months of going once a week my health has completely changed for the better, for about 3 years I have struggled with interrupted sleep most nights with either pain in my neck and shoulders and side, Or anxiety, or stress running riot in my head the min I went to bed, trying to function in the day be it training or work or just everyday life ( and I’m going through the menopause) is impossible when you are so fatigued but that’s all changed, I now sleep well most nights, I don’t suffer with any pain, my posture has changed so much, and I feel so much better in myself, it’s been tough at times but so so worth it, I didn’t realise how much the nervous system can affect you when it’s not working right but thanx to Lewis at EPOCH I’m a different person to 4 month ago and realise the importance of looking after your health and I’ll continue to go once a month to keep on top of it

Going to Epoch has been the best investment i've ever made for my physical self. I love every visit, it's like going to see your friends and getting your body transformed all in one. I was a bit shocked to find out what my spine was really going through, but even after just the first adjustment I noticed a remarkable reduction in my pain levels. I'm 14 weeks into treatment now and my pain is barely noticeable anymore and i'm incredibly grateful for it. Coming to Epoch hasn't just been good for my physical health and posture though, it's been great for my energetic awareness, health and capabilities too, one session leaving me with the ability to see auras! Where do I start! Amazing first impressions as soon as I stepped in. The staff are friendly, Tom is great for explaining things and giving insights to how I can manage more at home, as well as during the treatments. I haven't had the best of time in the last few years and feel this has massively helped me, with not only improving my posture, but generally how I feel daily. The pain management for my back is improving and feel I don't need to rely on medication as much. There are also very helpful emails that I am subscribed too, that also give good top tips on various things, as well as the Facebook page. Our little boy didn't have the easiest start due to a difficult delivery. Since he was born he would spend most of the day screaming and so unsettled. As new parents this was extremely upsetting, the GP gave us a potential CMPA diagnosis, silent reflux/ reflux and colic. We tried all the drops and medicines you could think off but nothing seemed to work and we were told endless time babies cry he will grow out of it. Dr Tom and EPOCH was recommended to us, we wanted to try anything to make our little boy better. However as we had never heard of this type of treatment for babies we were very sceptical. We went along to the consultation, Dr Tom and all the staff at EPOCH were so friendly and welcoming. The consultation was very relaxed and we couldnt believe how knowledgeable Dr Tom was. Why chiropractic? Neither of us was really sure what a chiropractor did – an osteopath for the spine would have been our best guess. Nothing to do with dermatitis, certainly, which was the over-riding problem when we first decided to find out more. Having read some of the reviews, which seemed to indicate that there was much more to it than this, I went in and talked to members of the Epoch team who suggested we attend one of Dr Tom Waller’s introductory talks. The talk made it very clear that Tom takes an holistic approach to treatment which we both welcomed. In addition we began to understand what an impact chiropractic adjustments can have on overall health, so an assessment was booked and treatment began. We also took on board Tom’s recommendations regarding nutrition and supplements and together with the adjustments this encouraged the body to move into the best state for healing. Peter has never looked back - he is standing much straighter than he was, he is back to the weight he was in his 20s and feels fit and well as a result. His dermatitis has, at last, calmed (acupuncture and some puva treatment helped). My treatment started later and I have to say that the tension that I used to carry in my neck and shoulders has eased considerably. In addition I am very glad to say that sleepless nights, which used to be a regular occurrence, are now a rarity! Thank you Epoch. The dietary advice has now become a part of everyday life, so much so that we no longer have dairy or wheat products in the house and have to remind ourselves to buy ‘normal’ stuff when we have visitors. Do you know, I never thought I would be sat here writing this. I thought the way I moved and the discomfort I was in was now for the rest of my life. How wrong I was, I had known people going to Epoch but not really given it much thought, until just after the lockdown I made contact had a hassle free initial consultation advised on a treatment plan, which I decided to take up how pleased I am that I did. If I tell you that before my adjustments my neck didn't move independently, I used to wake up every day with a headache and would literally roll out of bed not get up. We took our 8 week old to see Tom and the team due to suffering with colic, digestive issues and being extremely unsettled. After the initial meeting Tom explained that he had a trapped nerve in his neck due to how he was pulled out during his birth. He explained in detail what this was effecting which included his suck reflex and his bodies ability to digest properly. Along with everything else, this was causing him to take in air and not allowing his body to get rid of it, causing him pain. Game changer I don’t often write reviews; typically like most people (perhaps)only when things are either brilliant or the opposite. I first went to Epoch regarding pain following Sciatica, and also some issues I’ve experienced after pregnancy with my pelvis. From the minute I walked onto their premises I felt at ease, the staff are so welcoming and a pleasure to be around. Tom undertook an review of exactly what was causing me issues and went to work in resolving my issues. I’m pleased to say within the first couple of treatments I felt so much better and on the road to recovery. I have so much more energy and my body within itself just feels all round balanced. Before going to Epoch- I felt at a loss at how to ‘ fix’ the issues I was having. It felt like I had a lot of little niggles in different areas of my body. Inside the clinic is lovely relaxed environment. And after the initial consultation you will attend an open plan clinic, and you’re adjusted without having to have the usual pointless “mark yourself out of 10 ritual” and without having to put on that strange open back gown ! I have lived with back and neck pain for many years mainly due to my career as a nurse, when we “lifted” patients without batting an eyelid! So for at least 25 years! After an extreme bout of sciatica this year, I knew I had to do something as I just wanted to feel well again, play with my grandchildren and enjoy my future retirement. I am now 7 weeks into my program with Epoch and I can truly say the whole process is amazing. In April 2008 I was involved in a car accident and so my neck issues started then and despite physio treatment for a few months after the accident, the pain and stiffness in my neck and right shoulder became worse. 10 years later besides the initial symptoms I started having pain in my upper to mid back making it impossible to sit for any longer than 30 minutes at a time which made it difficult with working from home. So a friend suggested I visit Dr. Tom. After 2 weeks (6 chiropractic adjustments) the back pain was gone! He recommended 6 months of treatment but for personal reasons I was only able to complete 3. My neck and shoulder pain and stiffness improved dramatically - I was no longer scared to exercise and hit the gym for fear I would aggravate things. Dr. Tom’s experience in treating different people from babies to older ones put me at ease. I also appreciated the fact that he allows you to make an informed decision before initiating treatment. In my very first visit he examined me and although I was visibly in pain and desperately wanted him to do something about it he would not do so until after analysing the results of the examination - needless to say I was impressed by it - very professional. I had seen Epoch on Facebook and I was interested in attending as I have had back issues for about 7yrs, which has progressed to being more severe in the last 2yrs where I can’t walk far and the pain was constant - I have an administration job so I sit down all day at a desk. I had been to my Drs to seek medical treatment but nothing really progressed from being given tablets to ease pain - I then attended a physiotherapist, as the pain was getting more severe - I then waited on the NHS referral list for months until I managed to be referred back to the physio - I had several treatments before being told to exercise more and was signed off and told to return to my Dr after 3mths to see what they could do. With the pain I was in, more exercise was impossible! I then saw Epoch we’re having a posture check and decided to attend as I knew my whole balance and stance were not right. The posture check showed I was very off balance and Dr Tom was adamant something could be done for me! At this point I was at the end of my tether and had no clue what I could do to improve my health and wellbeing due to the pain I was in! I felt like I was listened too when visiting the clinic and that’s all the staff have all been very understanding and I have felt that my care was a priority when attending each and every appointment. I then returned to Epoch for further investigation which included x-rays and various tests to see what my issues were and to see what could be done - this is a very thorough process and at the end, for the first time in about a year and a half, I felt like someone was listening and totally willing to help me! I then started a full month of adjustments in February 2020, as an intense treatment plan - which involved 3 sessions a week of adjustments, with a final session to check how the treatment is working for me with nearly all the same tests I had when I first attended. The re-tests I have had, show improvement overall including both posture and balance. I can honestly say I feel so much better from the treatments I have - I can walk better and I feel my balance has vastly improved and although I may have days of pain this is far less horrific than it was. I have discovered part of my pain is also related to my neck so I have had to adjust how I sleep and also my phone usage - this means not looking downward at my phone and trying to look at things at eye level! My sleep pattern has also improved and I feel better overall - I am still attending but 2 sessions a week and I can honestly say it is a highlight of my week as I do feel some relief after each treatment. I can’t recommend Epoch enough, if I had not attended, I honestly do now know where I would be now and it’s all thanks to Dr Tom and his team that both my physical and mental health is continuing to improve.

I saw Tom and the team where he took xrays of my spine- amongst other investigations- and i found out that my spine was twisting! I couldn't believe it, I was genuinely shocked! Ive always been very active and fit and I thought that I had a good posture-people usually complement me on it too! My twisted spine was the reason i was suffering from lower back pain and it accumulated from one of my vertebrates being out of alignment by only millimetres starting from my neck - where i had 2 slipped disks! I'm glad i went to Epoch as Ive suffered from slipped disks in my neck for over 10 years as well as lower back pain. The reason my back was so sore for so long wasn't because of my slipped disks or twisted spine, but because i did nothing about it for so long. It just got worse and worse. I dread to think what would happen if i never saw Tom and the rest of the team! If you're thinking about going to a chiropractor but you're not sure about it, understand that if you've suffered from lower back pain for a considerable amount of time and you've done nothing about it, nothing will ever get better! After my 12 session review I couldnt believe how much I've improved and in so little time! I've had chiropractor treatment for about 5 months now and I'm getting better all the time! Within 3 months of starting care at Epoch, I went to Florida for a family holiday and walked 110 miles in 2 weeks around Disney World and other theme parks. I can't recommend this place enough, the team are friendly and helpful, and Dr Tom is very caring and professional. He really does know what he's doing! Friendly welcome. Honest assessment, the first x-ray and scan for thirty years! I have a longstanding back problem caused by a mining accident. Initial treatment at Harlow Wood Hospital was excellent. GP If you have further problems up the dose of your pills, doesn't solve anything. I was brutally honest with Tom all I expected was a little pain relief because I know how damaged my spine is. I have had some adjustments and now I am not taking any medication. The advice to help my posture has been spot on. It is not a permanent cure in my case. I will need maintenance more or less for the rest of my life. The quality of my life is improving. It's not a magic bullet. You have to work with Tom to see any benefit. I went on a suck it and see basis and I have benefited. You are in control of the process at least try it out.

My experience at Epoch has been amazing and I would like to share this with you. After having surgery on my knee I was in constant pain for 18 month and had difficulty walking for any distance with the pain. Joan Defraine Nov 2019 I started my journey with Epoch in February 2018 during a particularly bad recurrence of the intermittent back pain that has blighted my life for nearly 60 years. I didn’t expect an overnight cure-all, but over the duration of my first course of intensive treatment the improvement was obvious. My quality of life was changing for the better so I signed up for a further course of treatment. As time went on I found that the good times far exceeded the bad and I could do more of the things that I enjoyed like badminton and walking. I was virtually pain free for the most part and life was very different. So you might ask, if I am pain free, why do I continue to visit Epoch 21 months on? There are 2 reasons for that, the first being that I’m afraid I might revert back to the way things were before. After 18 months, things were going so well that I cut down my weekly visits to fortnightly; big mistake! After 2 months I was feeling the lack of my weekly top ups as the discomfort started to become apparent once again and I am now back on my essential weekly adjustments. There has been no better wake-up call than this and I won’t be doing that again! It’s weekly for me from now on and the benefits of chiropractic have been proved to me beyond all doubt. The second reason I keep going to Epoch is quite simply that I enjoy my visits which have become a regular part of my life and routine. Dr Tom and his team are always so welcoming and friendly; I feel valued and not just a patient. I went to Epoch after suffering years of pain due to degenerative disc disorder. This caused sciatica which gave me sleepless nights and pain and my feet to go dead when walking too far, sitting for too long and also when doing a full day at work. I also suffered with really bad headaches and pain in my neck and shoulders which I just put down to getting older and all the other problems that come with it. I went for the consultation and Tom and his team were fantastic. They were so friendly and understanding. I had the examinations and it was a real eye opener! I was shocked too see the results to say the least, but Tom said he was certain he could help me. I chose to go for a pre payment platinum plan and on my first appointment was so nervous! I thought I hate pain! What if it hurts ? What if it doesn't work after spending the money? I was really thinking I was probably wasting my time, after all I had already had physio and acupuncture and neither of these have me any relief! Anyway I went with it and told Tom I was nervous and he was fantastic! He said I had nothing to be nervous about and after the first adjustment I was amazed! It didn't hurt at all! I got up and instantly felt a difference! I felt like my shoulders had dropped and that I was taller, if that makes sense? Tom said I would have the best nights sleep I have had in ages! I thought...ye right we will see. He was so right! For the first time in years I didn't wake up in pain! I did wake up a couple of times but I genuinely believe that was just down to habit as I had been waking so often for an long! Anyway I was seen 3 times a week for 4 weeks and in the first week Tom said my body was responding really well and I was making fantastic progress. I had my 4 week review this week and the difference was amazing! I had noticed obviously I wasn't waking in pain anymore and that I was no longer getting the dead feeling in my feet , but when I sat filling the form in before my examination I realised I wasn't feeling the tension in my neck and shoulders or getting the really bad headaches anymore either! I had had headaches but they weren't anywhere near as bad as I had before. Tom did my examination and the results were brilliant... My posture had improved, and my body alignment was near enough perfect compared to before. My nerves are starting to repair themselves and that's why I am no longer feeling the dead sensation in my feet. I am now down to attending twice a week and am looking forward to seeing the next results in 4 weeks time! I am trying to help myself too by doing the exercise at home that Tom gave me ( if you can call laying on a roller up towel and relaxing a exercise!) and by drinking more water and trying to eat healthier as from the information given at epoch I know this will all help in my recovery. It's not an overstatement to say that going to Dr Tom at Epoch has changed my life. I had been in chronic pain for the last 5 years due to a sports injury which caused a labral tear in my hip. It took a few years to get the correct diagnosis and I tried everything to become pain free (total rest, gentle exercise, Pilates, Physio etc etc), but nothing helped. I went to see a Hip Specialist who couldn't offer any solution at all and implied that perhaps I was "overdoing things". At this point I had given up all sports and even walking very far and could just about do the stuff that needs to be done when you have a family to look after. Getting in and out of the car and walking up the stairs was a challenge. I asked the Hip Specialist if the only way to become pain free was a total hip replacement (which at the age of 49 seemed a drastic solution), and he said yes. Throughout the last 5 years I spent hours researching ways of becoming pain free, and the only thing left that I hadn't tried was Chiropractic adjustments. Like many other people I associated Chiropractic treatments with neck and back pain, and was not aware that it could help with pain in other areas. I live on Hartsholme and shop at the Birchwood Shopping Centre and had noticed that a new chiropractic centre had been opened. Highly recommended We brought our eight-week-old baby to Epoch following weeks of watching him in extreme discomfort, thrashing around his cot and being exhausted due to him not sleeping (he was waking every two hours throughout the day and night). Our little boy was suffering from a blockage in his digestive system, preventing him from passing wind freely and having regular movements. After seeking advice from healthcare professionals/forums, we were advised this is normal for babies, and to get things moving, we should try Gripe Water, bicycle legs and baby massage. Doing this did help as a daily fix, although this was helping for short term relief and not fixing the actual problem. Our little boy is exclusively breastfed, and I questioned, could this be my fault and I eating something that's causing this or do I have a poor latch? I had both checked, and I found I was doing everything correctly with my diet and latch. Being new parents is challenging enough, and the slightest little thing causes you to worry, and our baby looked like he was in pain. He was getting increasingly frustrated, and hours would go by and finally as soon as he passed wind or had a bowel movement, he was relieved and our happy little boy again. We had a conversation with some friends of ours about it, and they shared they had something similar with their little girl. They took her to see Dr Tom at Epoch, and he made some gentle adjustments and helped her, taking their recommendation, we made an appointment with Dr Tom and the Epoch team. It was the best appointment we could've made to help our little boy. Dr Tom confirmed he did have a blockage and also a misaligned pallet, that was causing him headaches (no wonder he was getting so upset). Fast forward four weeks and we have a happy baby boy! For the past 8/9 years I have done the revolving door of medical health care. I've seen Doctors, muscular skeletal specialists,neurologists and rheumatologist to name but a few. I've been scanned,poked and prodded and received a few diagnoses. I was recommended to Dr Tom by my sports therapist over 2 years ago. In that time, he has seen me through to complete fitness, I can lift heavy weights in the gym now and my neck or back does not ache or feel in pain. My husband collapsed and ended up in hospital in Dec 2016, I had been nagging him to go to Tom for many months as he had suffered back issues due to playing American Football and Rugby when he was younger. Now he had no choice! Turns out he had a compression fracture that had been there for about 20 years! Well that’s all fixed now and he too is more active in the gym. I also have 2 girls, one is 18 and an ex-gymnast, the other is 13 and competes for Great Britain in the Junior Women’s Artistic Gymnastics team. I didn’t know what chiropractors did and stumbled across one quite by accident when visiting Manchester. They said they could help me, sure I thought, I was very sceptical. However the encounter soon lead me to Tom and the team at Epoch. After another assessment by Tom and a full explanation of what he found wrong, he too said he could help. I honestly didn’t think this was possible. I have had these problems since I was in my late teens and they gradually got worse over the years, to spite seeing physiotherapists, occupational therapists, rheumatologist etc. I had resigned myself to the fact and I was certain I would eventually end up on strong pain medication like my Mam and my gran before her. I have suffered with back pain for 19 years and i have been having headaches twice a week for just as mean years. I have been attending Epoch now for just over three months and i have already experienced massive changes my headaches have more or less gone and the pain i suffer in my back has decreased a great deal allowing me to do the simple things in my life that i couldn’t do before without causing me pain. The staff at Epoch are very welcoming and friendly and really make you feel welcome and relaxed. I would recommend Epoch to anyone that is suffering with any sort of back pain.

I came across Epoch when my wife, who had difficulty walking, was recommended their services. She is progressing well with continuing treatments. I am an active oldish git who is not overweight, rarely goes to the doctor (apart from when I moved practice and completed (honestly) their questionnaire, they thought I drank too much! They accepted I was a social drinker only!) walks the dogs for 2 hours a day at a fair lick, does lots of diy and gardening and thought I didn’t need the service. However I attended the orientation lecture rather than sitting in the car waiting for my wife, and found it very interesting. It isn’t just about bad backs and legs etc, the art of chiropractic is holistic. The spine protects the spinal chord which in turn acts as a conduit for all your nerves etc (Epoch, please correct me if I am wrong here!). I have always suffered from sinusitis (the ENT Specialist at the local hospital explained my sinus canals on one side of my head are narrower than the other - but offered no treatment) yet Dr Tom mentioned that over time this condition could be improved. Along with other slight aches and pains in my neck, I decided to explore further. Following a thorough examination - photographs, x-rays, physical examination, I was not the perfect .specimen I thought I was! Ones head should “weigh” roughly 12lbs (sorry youngsters I don’t know what that is in new money), mine weighed 43lbs; my posture was appalling, mainly thanks to driving and computer work, my balance was all out of kilter, lung function not great and heart rate variability 29% (still haven’t really understood this one, but something to do with withstanding illness in the future - the standard reading is around 60%). I came out of the examination feeling a very old man! I therefore decided to enrol for the “full works”, a 22 week programme. Reviews are conducted after about 4 weeks -I have just had my first after 12 treatments. The sinuses are still not working correctly, but this will take time, and my head still “weighs” the same (perhaps I’ve just got a big head!). However the rest of me - great. My posture has greatly improved, my neck no longer “cracks” when driving and making rapid movements, my lung function has improved by over 25% and my heart rate variability has gone from a poor 29% to a near normal 57.5%. I have a further 18 weeks on the programme - I am astounded by the improvements, this from someone who didn’t feel he need charms of a chiropractor. Dr Tom and his staff are very professional, very eager to help, and have a good sense of humour. My only criticism, no espresso machine for early morning appointments.

I've been going to Epoch now for about a year. I originally went to sort out my bad posture and perhaps improve the range of movement in my neck and shoulder. I have to be honest for the first 3-4 months I did consider stopping, as I just didn't see any mirricle cure or benefit. I decided to persevere and I am so glad I did. My scepticism has completely gone as over time I can see real change. I haven't taken a single pain killer for anything for over 8 months, I have lost the 'hump' on my back and walk upright without having to make an effort to. I have never been so connected with my back. I can actually feel and engage every part of my core. I haven't had a cold or infection of any kind and have improved flexibility and range of movemen all over since going. So I asked myself the question again, job done, should I stop going. Sceptical me. Hi. My name is Bill and i used to be a runner up until 7 yrs ago when I developed a knee problem. I then had give up running. This year my son suggested I visit Dr Tom at Epoch for an assessment. The assessment showed my back and knee needed realigning. At the assessment Dr Tom invormed me he saw no reason why I should not be able to run 5k at the end of my treatment. Yeh right I thought. Having trouble even walking for any distance and in a lot of pain at the end of every shift at work. Half way through the treatment much to my surprise and delight I am now doing 30 mins on treadmill doing fast walking on an incline with minimum pain. The discomfort at work is 80% better. I am looking forward to the 2nd half of the treatment. So if anybody out there has any injuries which have been lingering and think there is nothing more that can be done please go and see Dr Tom at Epoch, Lincoln. What’s not to like? My initial consultation was the most thorough I’ve experienced, out of the 4 practices I’ve visited around the country. The results were explained and related back to not only the symptoms I’d mentioned but also niggles that I hadn’t. The treatment is pre-planned and agreed, therefore each session only lasts 15 mins or so, easy to fit in a day. On top of all of that, it’s a lovely environment and every single person that works there makes you feel welcome. They don’t just go through the motions. You can tell that they are genuinely pleased to see you, that they genuinely care about your recovery, and they go out of their way to make sure you can been seen in a timely manner. I couldn’t ask for more. Now I am settling in the area, I’ll never go anywhere again. And I’ll continue to have adjustments, after my current treatment plan ends. Prevention is better than cure after all.
