Reviews of 30 St Mary Axe (The Gherkin)
A. C.
We went for an afternoon tea and everything was superb (apart from the smoked salmon, but that’s just because I am a picky eater!). Staff is absolutely incredible! Excellent service!
The place is beautiful, food is great… Lovely hostess allowed us to the top floor for some pictures.
I’m already planning my next visit!

The Gherkin, otherwise known as 30 St Mary Axe, is one of the capital's most famous buildings. It's a feature of the London skyline and home to offices, a restaurant and a cocktail bar. Very interesting design of buildings, not the only one in this area. The Gherkin is 180 metres (591 ft) tall. Towering 41 floors above the City of London, The Gherkin looks magnificent at any time of the day, but it’s particularly dazzling when lit up at night. Not far away from Sky garden, recommend to visit and enjoy the area. The Gherkin isn’t normally open to the public but you can visit Helix restaurant and Iris bar, which are located on the top floors and have amazing panoramic views across the City of London.
M. V.
One of the most iconic buildings in London. Houses the Poly Experience Centre showcasing the best-in-class audio-video collaboration technologies for Microsoft Teams
k.
One of the most interesting buildings in London. For modern architecture fans it's a MUST SEE. Really a gem - whenever you come there you always notice sth different, shadows or sun rays flickering :) And all these lovely skyscrapers nearby. You can get here the breath of the CITY.
F. C.
The Gherkin is a stunning building. All the area is a great display of contemporary architecture which mixed to some landmarks from the past centuries and local history makes this area in London one of the nicest to walk by. I find it awesome at night.
J. B.
Beautiful and tasty cocktails! What a lovely view of London.
M. K.
Worth for the money.
Very polite and professional service.
Clean...tasty food and well served.
First time in my life I drink proper cocktail and Irish coffee with the exact amount of alcohol ( not water or ice)
It's a little bit expensive but worth for the money
P. I.
I could focus on the bad and give 3 🌟 or on the good and give it 5🌟. So will average it and stick with 4.
The good:
Amazing location and awesome venue. Decent food and good drink selection.
Nice touches around the place and great service especially on an anniversary.
The bad:
Weird seating, for a place with a view the seats are too far away from the edge so all you see is the last 10 floors of nearby skyscrapers.
The food is ok, but just.
Great for celebrations
R. C.
We were privileged to have our wedding on the 38th Floor at this delightful building in London. What a venue, special thanks to Amy and Shelley-Ann and Bianca for the support for making our day memorable. I would recommend hiring this venue the views are magnificent and the staff are friendly and accommodating.

30 St. Mary Axe or "The Gherkin" as it's famously called, is an extremely different in design, which makes it a great location for phoro shoots. Many tourists come here to get photos captured with the extravagant building.
I luckily live near the building and always found it out of the world.
S. N.
Definitely a nicr place to take some pictures from. You will have to go through airport-like security check before entering if you are a guest.
M. D.
Another contender for odd building of the year competition. Brilliant design and a window cleaners nightmare. Cannot be mistaken for anything else, except maybe a cucumber.
L. C. P.
As photographers, we love photographing weddings in this part of London and nowhere is more iconic than the Gherkin to have your wedding reception! Its views of London are unrivaled and the atmosphere after dark when the city is all lit up is stunning. We can’t wait for our next visit. Highly recommended for anyone wanting an Iconic central London wedding
Y. A.
Its the most Dynamic looking building in the London’s skyline though not very dynamic in its shape. My children’s favourite, iconic and simple beautiful!
I love to photograph it as much as I love to visit around. Always get new perspectives of it and new views. It’s a pleasant addition in London’s skyline visually. I’d love it more if had pleasant environmental impact as well.
The building merges too well with its surroundings physically and stands out visually from every angle. Its called Gherkin due to its look and feel but I’d rather call it a bullet than Gherkin.
Y. G.
A friend used to work here and we played Where's Waldo where I would take a point of view pic of the gherkin and he would try to find me in my direction where I took the pic from. Good times haha.
R. T.
Great building. Amazing architecture. It is worth seeing him live.
A. H.
One of the earliest soaring skyscrapers in the heart of the City and one which at least has some elegance. Unlike the more recent skyscrapers the Gherkin has no public spaces. There is a restaurant at the very pinnacle but it’s a private affair - a private members club and restaurant that can be hired for private events. Because it’s not possible for services to be above the restaurant you have to ascend an elegant flight of stairs between the penultimate and top floors.
J. G.
Great experience, friendly staff, amazing views of London City and delicious food although the serving size was a bit too small for me 😊
J. T.
A site to see!! Definitely a great building to obtain office space. The environment is peaceful and the views are exhilarating.
J. R. G.
A wonderful view with excellent food. Certainly a London must-do.
A.
Lovely restaurant and bar on the top floor with amazing view. The food and deserts were very delicious. The staff however were not very friendly and when my friend and I asked for them to take a picture from us they refused to do so because of COVID which didn’t make much sense to us and we had dressed up, we were in a good mood and that wasn’t very nice or professional of them.
A. W.
Extremely beautiful building, pleasant for the eye.
A. W.
Superb afternoon tea and great atmosphere. The panoramic view was exceptional and the tea selection devine. Don't forget to book.
J. H.
MasterTrader500 provided me with Trading signals via their website subscription service. In my first two months I achieved 20% return risking less than 50% of my account. What matters most was the biggest returns came from the market selling off! Check them out - you wont regret it!

Had a great experience in the gherkin. This was a Christmas gift. I enjoyed the brunch and the views across the city were amazing. I think if you didn't like smoked salmon or eggs you'd be stuck but this was a set menu brunch. The service was attentive and food quality was great. A great way to set you up for a day in the big smoke. I would definitely recommend this experience to anyone.
L. C.
A wonderful experience from start to finish. The view is spectacular and the food was exquisite. The staff are so great. Welcoming and very funny too. Will most certainly visit again on out next stay in London.
J.
I only visited to take photos of it ! Super impressive and gorgeous building ! Seriously i couldn’t get enough of it
Y. M.
Surrounded by beautiful city of London the architecture of the Gherkin always stands out amongst, at ground level you are greeted with a lovely green area and nearby are coffee shops.
A. C.
Great restaurant at the top, and the views over the city from the bar at the very top are amazing. The bar has its own cocktails which were nice although quite pricey (as expected really) the wine list at the restaurant was great if you like French wine but didn't really offer much else choice really. However the food was great and the service was good.
A. E.
You cannot get inside the building, as it is private offices. If you plan to see it, it is good to go at the weekend, as there are less people, as nobody is working in the City. There are also plenty of other interesting things to see in and around this area.
R.
Futuristic building in central London. One of the highest building in the city. Beautiful !
K. N.
An iconic skyscraper in the city of London. At 180m above London, it's got great views but sadly out of bounds to public. However, you can have a look around inside at the annual Open House event. If you can't wait that long, I suggest booking a table at the restaurant Searcy which is open all year round.
R. A.
Attended a wedding st this beautiful venue! What a day, from the ceremony, to the wedding breakfast to the night, all perfect.
Views from this place are amazing and we had a lady to worked at the Gherkin who we could ask questions.
The food was perfect, dry tasty and the service was excellent! What an excellent wedding venue!
Z. A.
One of the beautiful skyscrapers which always take your attention from far and I specially went to this place to capture a picture ☺️
K. P.
Impressive view! The food was very good, service can be improved.
V. M.
When you approach this high-rise building, you understand how majestic it is! This building surprises and shows how the architect's thought was embodied in reality. Only when you stand next to it, you understand how huge and complex it is in terms of architecture.
E. M.
A great view and an impressive place for a drink. Drinks are not cheap, as you would expect in a place like this. A basic gin cost £9, without the tonic. Staff were friendly and attentive. It is a nice experience.
M. M.
The Gherkin is an iconic building in the heart of the city's financial quarter, a short walk from Liverpool Street station.
It is an imposing building that houses menu businesses and is mainly offices although there are a few bars and restaurants within.
Is a key feature of the London skyline now.
P. T.
Excellent lo action for afternoon drinks and a little food. I have had a few times in the past where there have been issues, and am reluctant to give 5 stars until I have revisited a couple of times. Quite pricey for what we had.
T. C.
Amazing afternoon tea, attentive staff, beautiful views & a must do
A. W.
One of the most iconic structures in Central London. It appears in almost every TV Show or Film situated in the area. Well worth the walk to see it in person!
I. S.
Stunning views of gorgeous London. I particularly love coming here for one of their signature cocktails at sunset or storm. The service is wonderful - welcoming & efficient.
D. P.
I had dinner in this lovely little restaurant atop the Gherkin tower. The views of West and South London are magnificent!
The service was great and the food was rather good.
It was a corporate affair and I don't know if they cater to the general public but I would definitely go back again if they did
M. v.
Almost every food has touch of butter.
specialist would bring your food on the table with full explanation. A very nice explanation of your bill when you ask for the bill.
Y.
Despite the odd design the restaurant is amazing serving great meals with exceptional customer service, such as a cloakroom and generous waiters and waitresses.
C. C. A.
A great experience behaving drinks at the Searcy bar. Try to book a table (it's required) and check out the sunset there. Service could be better though
I. P.
Beautiful skyscraper in the center of city of London. It houses a bank and there is a restaurant in the top with amazing view.
A. D.
Conference rooms on floor 34 were small and cramped. Very few staff to help you with finding facilities. Food was barely just above average.
A. R.
Advanced booking required to enter the building to access the bar at the very top. View is breathtaking, staff was polite but the service ran a bit slow. Good selection of cocktails/wine/champagne/spirits.
M. E.
Wonderful part of the city to visit and photograph. Do remember to walk in to the opening of the building and look up!
G. S.
Architecture at its finest. Admiring it up close and from afar, it just seems to get better with age. Of all modern day skyscrapers in London, it's undoubtedly my favourite (and the most iconic and popular too!) There's a bar/cafe on the ground floor, as well as a range of restaurants further up the building too.
A. E.
Lovely restaurant and bar one floor up. Excellent service, great food and a wonderful view. I went for my birthday and was brought out a plate with happy birthday written on it.
C. K.
A unique building in the midst of more traditionally shaped skyscrapers. I recommend having a meal at Searcys which is at the very top of this building.
s. v.
Dream🤗 Dream🤗Dream🤗..... My Dream building I saw todayyy...😍🤩🥰🥳
N. L.
Most enjoyable and very well looked after by the attentive staff. Food very good. Lucky with the weather as the views were clear.
P. J.
Yet another example of the present City trend for restaurants from the "build it high enough and they will come" school of thinking. Restrictive menu only 9 dishes across the entire menu encompassing 3 courses. Food itself was mediocre at best poor at its worse. But a pretty view which I am sure will continue to draw in the crowds. But with so many restaurants with a pretty view will one of them please give some thought to the food as well.
L. T.
Wow, it's definitely worth a visit.
Staff are very welcoming and helpful when you enter the building.
K. S.
I was in the restaurant there. The restaurant is fancy and expensive (£55 per person for dinner), but staff is friendly. It has very good view. I highly recommend to go to the bar, next floor. The bar has even better view of London.
A. S.
The "Swirling" building, cool looking design, props to the architect. If you near by, come have a look. Bars and restaurants ground floor available. I think it's an office building.
T. S.
Great view 🪟!
G. M.
Went for the 4 course brunch and had a lovely time. The food was very nice. The bar at the very top of the Gherkin made it all worth it, the views were great!
L. F.
I was there with my girlfriend for our anniversary and we had one of the best experiences ever had in London!
The location is just unbelievable: being at the top of this iconic building, with a breathtaking 360 view, is already an experience!
The food was superb! We had a 6 course tasting menu with a bottle of champagne: everything was incredibly delicious with interesting combinations, never boring and very well presented.
Last but not least the staff that made this night unforgettable! Careful, professional and extremely nice: we felt welcomed and nothing was left behind! We appreciated their work so much and we really want to thank them all!
g. f.
It was relatively quite than normal owing to current circumstances, but was lovely and sunny , people watching over a coffee at one of the many seating arrangements around that area, also has fine restaurants on hand to satisfy one's needs .
G. S.
A beauty. This gem of a building blends in so very magnificently with the rest of London. The pictures associated with this review have been purposely chosen, and taken to illustrate just how perfectly London embraces and manages the old and the new.
D. H.
It’s an office building, interesting to see it up close but not a lot in the area. The top 2 floors are a restaurant and bar with nice views but other than that it is not open to the public except maybe during special events. Walking distance to some Jack the Ripper sites and Tower of London. Brick Lane if you want a good curry is also reasonably close. There are some interesting churches also in the neighborhood.
J. L.
Beautiful views and you have enough time to take photos. There is a bar section and it is wheelchair accessible as they have lifts.
D. B.
Loved the experience we had at the gherkin staff was excellent, all socially distance in use felt very safe and food and drink was outstanding
J. T.
Fab experience. Loved my afternoon tea experience being treated like a true princess.
Must admit that it's gracious personnel & a priceless view makes this place even more special.
Thank you all! Will be back soon for a very special bday celebration 💕
A. M.
Beautiful view although when renting offices you need to pay for your own coffee.
S. V.
I was at The Gherkin (30 St Mary Axe) for a corporate event in one of the meeting rooms on the 38th floor. The event was very well organised and it felt like there was nothing that would have been too much trouble for the staff.
The views over London were great although the weather wasn’t brilliant.
The only negative was getting kit into the room having to go up one lift then walk through the kitchens to head up another lift to the meeting room.
I would highly recommend the location for a corporate event.
D. T.
What amazing view down on London from the top of all those places you want to see in a from a scenic promenade.
D. A.
Another one of the commercial skyscrapers in London’s financial area. I’m quite fond of the gherkin having worked close by for a few years. Lots of bustle and great eateries add to the modern feel
P. P.
Big is beautiful right? Iconic London landmark thats really....just someone's office
J. M.
It's a building. Very meh but also a must-see for the tourists.
J. H. L.
London City - the city which never sleeps! This is definitely one of the iconic buildings of London which offers a view which equals notable nostalgia. A feeling of being a part of history as you look over the London skyline in a modern building crafted well. I would definitely recommend!
S. D.
Beautiful place that I attended for a friend's wedding recently, the church is a classic design surrounded by modern buildings to make a picturesque setting
G. L. C.
30 St Mary Axe is informally known as The Gherkin, due to its unusual shape resembling that of a gherkin. It is a commercial skyscraper in the City of London, London's main financial district. It was completed in December 2003 and opened in April 2004. It has 41 floors and stands at 180 metres. stands on the Its former sites were that of the Baltic Exchange and Chamber of Shipping, which were extensively damaged by a 1992 IRA bombing.
B. D. G.
Beautiful engineering building and when outside its so clean...I really like this place
I. P.
You can enjoy amazing view from this iconic building and drinks are not over priced.
B. D.
Super awesome place. Nice food and selection of wines. Best of all is the view to kill for.
S. M.
I like it but it looks more like something unmentionable than a ghurkin to me but it's funny and nice to see
H. P.
Great to be right up at the top in the dome. We spent Saturday lunch there. Food was excellent. We were moved to a window seat when one became available. Bit pricy . Fortunately we were given the meal as a present.
L. P.
Beautiful views over London, can see for miles but maybe not as good as The Shard, albeit in a lovely bar setting, very light and professional. Expensive cocktails but very tasty and small nibbles available too
A. D.
Night-time pictures showcase glass steel and lights. Sculptures and public art add to the interest. Pass your A level photography assignments overnight but bring extra battery power.
R. E.
Unmissable, stunning and iconic.
D. H.
Treated to birthday drinks on the top floor. Amazing views and amazing service. Well worth it if you get the chance
A. M.
Searcys at the Gherkin offers a unique dining experience and awesome views of London.
Z. S.
This place is so unique and looks amazing when you standing there
A. P.
Very cool place to visit! A dream place of to be honest! So much better than Shard if you ask me!!!
K. V.
Real Icon real pleasure for been inside one of the worlds most famous building .

Amazing view, delicious food and friendly staff.
F. H.
Spectacular view from the top of the Gherkin! Nice drinks and good food in the bar!
b. j.

S. C.
Absolutely incredible service and food
Would recommend to everyone
P. R.
Good view and decent experience, food wasn't great for what you would expect from a place like this
s. e.
Incredible building.
Nice and quiet to walk around the financial district at the weekend when nobody's at work, just bear in mind that means most cafes are shut too.
A. C.
Amazing spot for photography!
L. K. R.
Sadly I’ve not been inside this most beautiful of buildings YET! But from the design and style are just fantastic, with its clean lines and beautiful shape, this is one of most incredible buildings in London!
G. D.
Great building and amazing views from the 38th floor
M. M.
Love it!
b.
Well worth the short walk from Tower Hill tube station - a most impressive and iconic building.
J. B.
I'm hypnotised by the stunning architecture of this beautiful building.
J. E.
One of the most iconic buildings in London.
J. D.
Great architecture all round. Recommended
W. B.
Nice area a bit over priced in pubs and restaurants but was a pleasant experience was nice as the staff were very friendly and hospitable
A.
Interesting another look at the city from different angle
G. P.
Most civilized roof top bar in town, a must!
J. R. W.
An amazing piece of Norman Foster architecture definitely worth going by for the wow factor (It's not open to the public unless you are going to the restaurant or bar)
K. C.
Excellent food and friendly staff would definitely return and recommend to family and friends
P. M.
This is one of the great buildings of London Was original in its time with the paneled glass construction
Tucked away but worth going to look at if you are in the area .Apparaently a great restaurant inside but i just kept outside and admired
D. J. M. L.
Gorgeous building with art installations around
s. k. s.
Great office space with good skyline to watch! Dont forget the lovely place on top floor for the guys who love good food and a splendid view!!
A. A.
One of the best places in the world you can have your office.
A. R.
Everything has been moved around! Like the new layout though, the new hot food area seems a little less frantic than the old location.
L. S.
We visit The Gherkin as we made a reservation to eat at the Helix Restaurant. Nice view of London skyline.
A. B. S.
The Gherkin is really good building in London, in Uk. It looks like very modern. Some people like historical others love modern. I like both it. The Shard and The Gherkin are my fav buildings. From my persperctive, everyone should visit them. Cheers. ;)
L. S.
Awesome building . Design is magnificent. Decor modern contemporary. Amazing views
A.
It’s a nice sightseeing sight to walk around especially as we did on the weekend, when there are no people or cars and a great opportunity to take photos.
Seen it many times on Apprentice show so was quite amazed to see this building in real. An interesting concept to give a cool name to the architectural masterpiece so it’s even more popular.
Next building to it is a ”Sky garden” - the beautiful view point in London , but to visit it you should make a reservation in advance online or come from 9 till 11 am (at least this rule applies on the weekends). We’ve been late and didn’t know the early entrance rule without a queue so missed it.
C. M.
Great place, not as expensive as you'd think (£35 main) . Service was great and drinks and food were amazing.
K. T.
Beautiful place with an amazing view. Highly recommend a visit here.
M. Z.
Truly stunning view from The Helix Restaurant
J. P.
love it here. been visiting since it was under construction. as well as being iconic the 'gherkin' always has art exhibits around it
F. A.
Very good atmosphere. The settings are very nice, despite not fitting into the usual clientele's demographic, I felt welcome and the food was rather tasty.
I wish the menu was not as limited but it's to expect at this level. Good ingredients and the price isn't as bad as one might think.
G. R.
Impressive views, good venue for an event.
D. T.
Great interiors, nice and committed people!
L. P.
Security tight. Reassuringly over-priced restaurant at the top, and swish bar above; both have great views, lessened when they started building similar-sized buildings all around.
J. S.
Nice views. Cannot comment too much on space as the design fundamentally limits utility somewhat.
T. Q. N. (.
Great experience Helix restaurant was classy with a wonderful view
M. B.
Loved it. 5 stars. The whole dining experience was top notch. With my head above the clouds, quite literally.
Arriving to the restaurant, we were shown to the top floor bar because our table was not ready. The drinks there are amazing.
When out table became free, a waiter came by to tell us that we can come down into the restaurant.
The food arrived quickly. It was based on English dishes and damn they were good. The overall experience was very nice. Definitely recommend.
H. D.
Completed gherkin challenge. Was a lovely experience. Hard work to get up as got near the mid point up on the stairs. But lovely interior and great views once upstairs. Can see very well. Clean and great atmosphere. Lift facilities are good with a few changes.
B. N.
One of the most stylish buildings in the world
A. S.
My 2nd favourite building after KLCC.
C. C.
Elena was our waitress. She made it very special for us. Will definitely go back. Thank you Elena! 🤗😷
R. A.
Where do I start ?
I've been glimpsing this building for 15 years from every angle London has, except from inside.
Booked our wedding anniversary here and glad we did. Pin-sharp and clinical clean building, amazing to look at up close. Staff on the doors were helpful, super fast lift up to restaurant, at least 6 of them, no waiting...stop at 34th for a quick change to another lift arriving in style to the dining hall. Strikingly nice place to be. Met by sharp and smooth fella who showed us to our table and we spent the next 3 hours having a ball !
Uncluttered menu serving nice variation of dishes and a good sized wine tome.
We watched planes taking off and climbing in tight curve past our windows, so close you could see the people inside watching us eating.
Loved it !
The chief running this show was good fun and really enjoyed his job, all the staff were great.
We were served a nice anniversary surprise, a little chocolate cake wishing us the best. Nice touch.
Once finished eating we were invited to the "Bridge" of this magnificent ship. Step onboard the elevator and be transported to the coolest bar I've ever been to. What a place !
Great evening, supported by fantastic staff who served excellent food. We will be back I promise, lovely place. Cheers. R
Z.
Uniquely designed building which provides fantastic views of London when at the top.
P. S. M.
Review based solely on the looks. Stunning architecture and modern structure
K. H.
I had my 40th birthday dinner in one of the private dining rooms. The room was absolutely beautiful and the views both from the room and from the bar at the top were breathtaking. The staff were wonderful and couldn’t be faulted. They were attentive yet so discreet you didn’t notice them moving around filling up drinks making sure everybody was happy. The canapés were absolutely divine and the set the wonderful meal up. It was a wonderful evening full of great food and wine, dancing and laughter. I’d return in a heartbeat for a special occasion.
S. M.
One of the iconic building in London, must watch from near
I. D.
Interesting to see the grave of the 1600 year old girl who's remains they found while digging the foundations for the Gherkin.
P. F. (.
The Gherkin or The Shard?
My opinion: Gherkin. For intimacy. Personal Service. A Very Special treat. It felt like we had the whole gorgeous place to ourselves. We were very well looked after.
Try it. You will thank me later. ❤

Brilliant treat. Access to the building was great as my partner had to use a wheelchair. The food and service was great. The views are amazing.. the restaurant is on the 39th floor. They also have a bar one floor up. Which we didn't know about the views are even better.
L. M.
Beautiful masterpiece by Sir Norman Foster. There's a rooftop restaurant but you got to make reservations ahead.

I love this building!! i like the view i have in one of the flats when i visit one friend there!! is one of the most wonderfull place a visit ever! if i come back in London for sure i will go to visit my friend and I will make a lot of pictures to share with everyone!! Thank you "The Gerkin"!!

High-rise restaurants are often a safe bet when asked for restaurant recommendations where the food isn’t really the point. A place to impress date or relatives, when money isn’t really an option. After all, most sky-high venues offer a generally striking experience, even though the food is at best and gratuitously overpriced, with the panoramic views often used as an excuse for laziness amongst chefs and restaurateurs. There are a few exceptions to the rule, yet they’re astonishingly scarce.
S. M.
Very famous high rise in London. Lovely neighbourhood. Lots of food available nearby. Mainly an office area. Building looks lovely after dark. Good pictures. Nearest station is London Liverpool st.
B. K.
Cool building, random art i found here in that back of the building. And there's a creepy old man that works in the postroom of the loading bay. Hints the 4 star.
J. Y.
Beautiful building that along with other very modern adorn the landscape near london bridge.
L. A.
Beautiful architecture, so futuristic yet it's a proof of extraordinary London city,a mixture of old and new🇬🇧❤
J. ;.
Such an iconic building but had never seen it in person. Had a free day in the city so decided to check it out!
G. Z.
Impressive architecture in a nice interesting live aeea. Most recommended on Sundays.
P. S.
Amazing food had a Stella and got kicked out

Visited the private dining rooms at the top of The Gherkin for a private function a month or so ago. Had a fantastic time and the views are stunning. Private dining rooms did however feel a little dated and quite "temporary". The walls were the kind that could easily be moved to adjust room size but it gave the slight impression you were eating inside a cardboard box. All in all a good event and the views really were something to get excited about!
G. D. C. D. C.
Obviously I do not work neither live there. But its aspect is suprem, and it is the icon of " The city "
M. B.
Secure but welcoming lobby. Top floor view was probably breathtaking when built but other projects are gradually degrading it. Still worth a look, though. Top floor restaurant is comfortable and surprisingly affordable!
A. B.
Right in the heart of the business district. Was out of business hours at weekend when I visited. Very impressive building and great glass design.
Lots of eating places and few pubs around which would be great during business hours. Good central location within walking distance of the City.
T. R. P.
Was near the Bank of England and treked down the back streets of London and came across The Gerkin. Like the multi colored mirrored windows.
D. M.
A shiny egg shaped building, prime member of the elite sky scrapers of London. It has featured in movies like "Thor: The dark world" and won many awards for its highly efficient energy management and low power consumption.
This building has been an eye catcher always. The commonly accessible area is the plaza in this building. Worth a visit !
J. p.
Very nice place
L. Š.
Love the area for it's architecture. As I am an architect myself I can just sit there and observe all the constructions, details, materials totally loosing a sense of time. The public space is very well developed and maintained with quite a few good places for people to hang out.
T. C.
The view is amazing . The service and food was very good . We where required to choose our menu choices 3 days prior to dinner arrangements which was non issue. We where told the Chef needed to know the count on Diver Scallops and Beef selection . When we arrived for dinner the entire menu had changed without notice - no diver scallop , different beef selection . Food was well presented and very good just was slightly disappointed as i was looking forward to dinner selections previously offered. The evening dinner concluded with cocktails on top level which is certainly a must do with 360% view of London. We visited the Tower of London earlier in day and where advised to have a photo ID which I presumed was for Tower of London and crown jewels but actually it was to get through security at Gherkin. A place worth visiting because of view , food , service , very good but not star attraction.
H. W.
Fab street..one of the City's finest. Stand under the gherkin on the east side and gaze in awe at the unsung masterpiece that is Holland House. Peek through the door and if you're brave try and blag your way down thru the ornately tiled entrance and stairs to the loos. Incredible building...try and find the black marble carved liner round the side. You won't be disappointed!!

The construction of the renowned English architect Norman Foster of 2004, shook the image of the city of London sustainable. The form quickly led to the nickname The Gherkin (Gherkin). It has long been naturalized in London to nick modern buildings with a nickname and thus to express the dry English humor. The nickname is not missed, the similarity with the type of vegetables is really given. It is an attractive building, if you look at it in isolation. The 180 m high skyscraper has 41 floors, so a voluminous construction. The structure of twisted helical strands, cylindrical steel spirals that wind around the mantle of a cylinder at a constant pitch, made this shape possible. The designers emphasize the sustainability and energy efficiency given in the building. The office space was ring-shaped, giving them their own characteristics. With atria up to six meters high, it allows natural-like ventilation, so that the air conditioning system regulates only in extreme weather conditions.
The façade, set in glass, runs parallel to the structure with stained glass, creating a picture of streaks that are neutralized in the dome.
In the financial district, modern buildings are increasingly gaining in popularity, yet there are still many older buildings in existence, such as T. Victorian-looking, so that architectural stark contrasts show. The boom to a modern district has started inexorably, but it is necessary to check what is worth protecting and architecturally wearable with fitting care. A juxtaposition is possible, but this will be well considered.
This construction still creates a cleavage from an aesthetic point of view, but it must be clear what changes will be made in the future.
Viewed in isolation, the building is a manifesto that is truly remarkable.

Beautiful landmark building in the city. Am icon of structural and architectural design. This building is all offices with bars at the bottom and s very exclusive restaurant at the top. If you get the opportunity to visit the rearrange at the top you should not turn it down! The building is not that tell compared to the others in this area of the city, but it has alot of appeal.
P. C.
This is a review of the Searcy's bar at the top. I think it's possibly the best bar in London. Lovely all-round views. Most of the time it's a private club, but at quiet times of year (January/February and August) you can go here. You need to book in advance and you go through "airport security" at the bottom of the building, ascending to the top via two lifts. We had their Riviera-themed happy hour cocktails (at 8:30 pm). Lovely and just £8 each.
R. C.
An impressive location and slightly away from the mad throng of London in the cocktail bar on the top floor. You need to pre book for access. Great cocktails but expect to pay the price for the location. The views around make it worth it though.
A. W.
True London feeling! One of the places you have to visit in the British capital!
U. E.
A beautiful building in the heart of London. A wonderful iconic landmark. The architects and engineers did a great job designing and building this. The building got its nickname 'The Gherkin' from from of course being shaped like a gherkin. The building stands at 180m tall so can be seen all over London.
M. L.
The design of the building is just awesome. And the view is mind blowing. I love coming here at least once a week, drinking coffee in the restaurant at the top and staring through the windows – that’s the perfect way to relax.
T. B.
Top place. Professional service at Searcys
A. K.
This building is part of London's skyline for more than a decade, providing backdrop for so many good (and bad) movies, so visiting the Gherkin is somehow special. But there is no public access unless you work here, meet someone who work here or you are lucky enough (or shall I say patient enough to stand in the queue for hours) to get in during Open Houses. Nice view of the city but you can have this view from the top of surrounding buildings too (and without the hassle).
L. S.
Great view of the city from the top floor at Helix Restaurant. But the interiors, unfortunately, do not suit this amazing piece of architecture located in one of the most amazing cities in the world, that is London. Interiors look outdated and tired. Restaurant could use of some table linen. Food was to die for, cocktails were not even nice. The Gherkin is my favourite building in London; I expected more.
G. H.
One of the must-see buildings in London. I have been meaning to go here for some time and finally went this week. Stunning and breathtaking views.. It was totally amazing and I would certainly go back! The staff were super friendly. Having breakfast in the restaurant at the top and staring the sunrise through the windows – it was one of my dreams that came true.
M. B.
Fantastic views over London, good food and great atmosphere. Would definitely go again and the gin tasting menu was really good. Views changed as the sun went down, I really recommend this restaurant.
A. R.

A must visit in London

Beautiful masterpiece by Sir Norman Foster. There's a rooftop restaurant but you got to make reservations ahead.

Uniquely designed building which provides fantastic views of London when at the top.
P. T.
Great service - Great views
O. T.
The gherkin lower floor bar, very snazzy place. Has plenty of bar room space for sitting and space for dancing.
Great atmosphere, but part of a meet up group.
R. H.
Great piece of architecture. Day or night, it looks fantastic. There's a nice wine bar at ground level; great to sit outside in the plaza on a warm evening.
S. T.
Amazing good lovely staff, great views!
J. H.
Opened in 2004 and designed by Norman Foster this building became an instant landmark in the London skyline with its unique shape and facade.
It could have been 50 meters taller, because nowadays it is getting more and more obscured by newer and taller skyscrapers.
a. n.
Amazing view at night expecially. Walking through Central is very peaceful with the right company.
s. 0.
The Gherkin is the most iconic building in the city in my opinion. Obviously relatively shorter but definitely better looking than the Shard. The grey black angled glass that covers the building is simply stunning. When you are standing right underneath it looking upwards you realise the exceptional design. Love it!
P. A.
Lunch here was lovely, great view's of London, food and service was excellent. We did this as a Virgin Experience present so can't tell if it is expensive or not.
E. A.
Breathtaking, amazing!!
k. c.
Visited briefly, only saw the outside but was amazed be the shaping of the building and the intricate design involved.
M. D.
Came here for the first time a few weeks ago and... wow!! What a fantastic building... amazing on the outside and pretty damn swish on the inside too! It was a pleasure... and I'd highly recommend just detouring a little out of your way to go stand next to it and see it up close.. stunning!
M. H.
View great from Top. The service was direly slow in Iris bar, had to rerequest our drinks after about 20 minutes. Wasn't crowded so think they would have noticed we were still waiting. Would not go back to bar but would check out restaurant.
L. H.
I was lucky enough to go on an architectural tour led by an architect from Foster + Partners. So interesting how the building was designed to make the most of its shape and not have to rely on heating or cooling for much of the year. The view from the top is stunning.
d. c.
My daughter had booked us a table for a drink before going elsewhere for dinner. Cracking views of London at night from the bar. As we only had table for an hour, we were getting frustrated waiting on our drinks. Took over twenty minutes from when we ordered them till waiter brought them over after some prompting. But the customer service was excellent after we complained about the wait and management gave us the drink on the house to compensate for the delay ☺

I waited an entire year for a new Open London Weekend to visit the top of this landmark building.
It worth it. The view from the top is stunning and if you are luck an is a beautiful day ... then you are going to see one of the best view in London.
If you can, visit the bar at the top.
S. H.
Very cool structure. Impressive part of the sky when you're up close. Never been inside, so my review is based on external aesthetics alone.
D. C.
Was at the top of the gerkin. Beautiful space, all glass really an amazing way to see London.

This building is so unique and iconic that the mere silhouette of it in a city skyline graphic is enough to tell people "This one is London!".
It can't be eaten, and it can't be beaten.
This is the best damn Gherkin in the whole City... The whole of Europe even! In fact I don't know of a better Gherkin in the world.
P. S.
What most people don't appreciate is that the top two floors of the 'Gherkin' are actually open, offering panoramic views across London through the oddly shaped windows. If you do get the opportunity to visit then don't miss out - it's an amazing space!
W. L.
I have always admired the building's architecture from afar and wondered how the interior looked like. I got a chance to go to Searcy on the top floor and was floored by the view I saw. All the staff from the concierge to security to reception staff to bar staff were friendly and attentive.
J. T.
Great blue egg that's iconic in the London skyline.
The Gherkin, or 30 St Mary Axe is one of London’s new iconic skyscraper that takes on a new unique architectural style. It’s one of the key landmarks in the city. As far as I know, there isn’t really a viewing gallery that you can visit as it’s mainly commercial space. So, we will have to contend with enjoying it from afar.
V. S.
The only place in the whole city business center where air is clear and you don't smell strong scent of urine. Really. Idk why but the scent is strong around. This ear of corn is cool.
B. D.
We arrived around 7pm for a private party and had to provide some form of identification to the staff at reception. From there we were led through to an x-ray machine and only then were we permitted to enter an escalator to the 34th floor. From there, another escalator took us up to floor 38 where the private dining rooms are held.
We were greeted by friendly staff who took our coats and offered us a choice of mocktail or sparkling wine. Both were delicious. We then had some time to mingle in the viewing area, chatting to family and friends, admiring the art installations and of course the stunning views of London. Thankfully it was a clear night! We did notice that condensation began to form whenever parties lingered in one area for a few minutes, but that didn't impede the view.
Wait staff plied us with more drinks and hors d'oeuvres while we chatted and then we entered our room. Somtimes you feel in these places that they've crammed more people than ought to fit around a table, but we had plenty of room and it really felt private.
The food was delicious. I had been a bit disappointed when choosing my main as the options felt quite limited, but I was pleasantly surprised as, though delicately flavoured, each dish was superb.
The service throughout was impeccable. I asked for a glass of orange juice which came immediately. I requested another soon after without any ice. From then on, I'd be asked occasionally if I'd like another, and it would arrive each time without ice. That's the attention to detail that you really learn to appreciate.
G. K.
The place itself is a great experience, forget the restaurant very overpriced and the food is below everage maximum, but absolutely go for the bar at the top. As good as the Shard! Have a prosecco and still better off.
s. s.
The reflection of sky on it's fecad is fabulous.
L. V.
A very nice place with beautiful view. Security OK. Food OK. For the price it could be better. I gave 4 star due to some of the staff are not very pleasant and friendly. For that type of setting. I expected more from the staff. Disappointed at the end of my evening.
K. Š.
The best looking building in London!
G. L.
Wonderful views, good food and excellent service. The special menu was limited but there were enough tasty options.I loved the beetroot salad , my starter and my husband tasted hot smoked salmon
W. T. F. L.
A wonderful architectural feat. Quite beautiful to walk around the base. Green glass panels which really glow in the sun. I shall return to visit the cafe at the top!
P. H.
Cocktails at sunset was beautiful! The drinks were tasty, the service was outstanding and the view was spectacular. Will definitely go again.
M. Z.
Magnificent contemporary building which will create a new history for the city of London. Lovely views from the reception and party rooms on the 38th floor. Delighted to visit this structure.
S. L. L.
Went there during London Open House 2017. Stunning view!
W. B.
A lovely view of London awaits when you get to the top. I'd honestly book a table for something to eat too, as the food was delicious and topped off a great experience.
s. c.
Nice place
G. B.
awesome setting, splendid food, however staff to pushy and want to rush you constantly for the next dish, so they can get you out so they can get the next ones in. shall never return. Shame
K. H.
Incredible place to go. Feels like the lap of luxury! Couldn't see out as there was a snow blizzard. Staff were attentive, polite and nothing was too much trouble. Felt like an amazing experience
J. K.
Amazing, fast service with a smile, the view, is WOW
N. A.
Nothing great. Had much higher expectations.Meal was ok. Bar was better. Fantastic selection of cocktails. Will pop in for drinks, not bowled over by the food.
J.
We did not make the reservation before visiting there, but you could stay in the waiting line for the 2pm reservation time. Remember to go there earlier. The view was very nice!
P. W.
Nice little cafe / bakery at bottom for you to have a pastry and a coffee
H. H.
One of the must-see buildings in London. Good selection of mid-range pubs and restaurants across the street, and TK Maxx for some affordable shopping just next door. Overall, great building and one of my favorite places to go to people watch!
D.
Pretty nice to see whilst in london as its such an iconic building
L. S.
Wonderful views on a clear day. The bar is very popular so you may have to wait to get in and even longer for a seat. Recommend the restaurant if your able to get a reservation.
R. C.
Really, really nice bar at the top with spectacular view. A bit pricey but that goes with the territory. Food at the restaurant below is very expensive and portion sizes are stingy in the extreme, but quality is high so its faults can be forgiven.
M. S.
Bar and restaurant are not normally open to the public, but from the top it's a wonderful 360 degree view from 40 storeys over London. If you're able to go, it's an unmissable landmark!
D.
Gin and Tonics were superb here!
L. G.
Beautiful structure, we passed it whilst exploring sculpture in the city which was wonderful.
A. J.
Amazing views and prices aren't too bad either. Wide range of drinks available and the snacks are excellent although portion size is small.
C. M.
Very picturesque building. Great area. Aldgate is, for some reason, underrated. But a coffee in the area, surrounded by skyscrapers gives you a nice vibe.
T. H.
It's one of the I iconic building on the London skyline. It's a crying shame that it's been hidden behind tall bland no-spectacular buildings.
The gherkin is still worth a visit.
S. S.
Great place and iconic building of london is definitely a place to visit. Best place to visit is on a thursday or friday between 12 and 3 when you get the food stalls outside of the gherkin providing different food options. The views from the top are spectacular but get there quick before the other sky rises take over.

The building is a recognisable feature of London and is one of the city's most widely recognised examples of contemporary architecture. 30 St Mary Axe (informally known as the Gherkin and previously as the Swiss Re Building) is a commercial skyscraper in London. It was completed in December 2003 and opened in April 2004. With 41 stories it is 180 metres tall.
B. K.
I went for a work event so drinks were limited. Food was good and made it easy to snack and eat without having to hold a plate of stuff. I loved the sliders.
P. P.
Superb views over London, magnificent cocktails friendly and helpful staff with a professional attitude to ensure you are completely happy with your visit.
Marvellous

A fantastic and very photogenic piece of architecture

Turning Torso (Malmo, Sweden)
Turning Torso is the tallest skyscraper in Sweden and the Nordic countries. Designed by the Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava, it opened in August 2005.
The tower's height is an impressive 190 metres (623 feet) with 54 storeys. It is second tallest residential building in Europe
B. J.
Service was very slow, would have easily had double the bill if drinks came withing 20 minutes. Had to have the service taken off which I never do. But great views and beautiful.

30 St Mary Axe is a commercial skyscraper in London's primary financial district, the City of London. On the building's top level (the 40th floor), there is a bar for tenants and their guests, featuring a panoramic view of London. A restaurant operates on the 39th floor, and private dining rooms on the 38th. Whereas most buildings have extensive lift equipment on the roof of the building, this was not possible for the Gherkin, since a bar had been planned for the 40th floor. The architects dealt with this by having the main lift only reach the 34th floor, and then having a push-from-below lift to the 39th floor. There is a marble stairwell and a disabled persons' lift, which leads the visitor up to the bar in the dome. The building is visible over long distances: From the north, for instance, it can be seen from the M11 motorway, some 32 kilometres (20 mi) away, while to the west it can be seen from the statue of George III in Windsor Great Park.

30 St Mary Axe, informally known as The Gherkin, is a commercial skyscraper in London's primary financial district. With 41 floors, it is 180 meters tall and stands on the former sites of the Baltic Exchange and Chamber of Shipping, which was extensively damaged in 1992 by a bomb placed by the Provisional IRA in St Mary Axe. After plans to build the 92-story Millennium Tower were dropped, 30 St Mary Axe was designed by Norman Foster and Arup Group. The building has since become a recognizable feature of London, and is one of the city's most widely recognized examples of contemporary architecture.

I returned shortly ago from a meeting with one of the companies located there. The views are surreal and it literally is like you're on top of the world. Absolutely awesome views of London.

A must to visit if on the tourist trail as it's an ultra modern and unusual piece of architecture in the City of London. Named the Gherkin due to its shape. It isn't open to the public to enter.
G. J.
N/a. Only saw from the outside.
T. C.
Very nice place to take a stroll around. The Gerhkin building towers above you. Overall a nice sight in the evening. A very busy area in the daytime and can get very crowded.

Must see in London. Very unique architecture. Worth the walk from Bank station. All the buildings in this area are fantastic to view up close.
B. S.
Good places and New experiences
K. P.
We cycled there arriving via the backstreets it suddenly appears outta nowhere. Looking from ground level its v dramatic. Located in a small square but easy to find as sticks out like a cucumber amongst the smaller shabby buildings surronding it.
A. A. L.
The three junipers option was a lot of fun. Mix your own gin with a lovely spice box. And of course the view is fantastic
A. L.
One of the coolest buildings in London. Searcys, the rooftop restaurant, is a great place to spend an afternoon.

I am a 2 year standing member with Searcy Spent New Years with them was epic great 5 Course tasting menu with amazing entertainment that night. Loved Seeing Ivana for the first time was great and look forward to continue to visit.

[CZ] Úžasné. Obzvláště návštěva až nahoře. Neuvěřitelný pohled na Londýn (Tower, Tower Bridge, City, river Thames, ...)
[EN] Awesome. Specially a visit on the last floor in the cafe below the top of the glass building. Unbelievable view of London (Tower, Tower Bridge, City, river Thames, ...).
S. O.
Memories. Used to work around the corner from the present Gerkin building. The view in the photo is from the back of the 88 Leadenhall building which together with 100 Leadenhall was the London headquarters of the BBCI bank from the mid seventies to its closure in 1991. That is another shameful chapter of International Banking intrigue, drugs and arms dealing, and hypocrisy by the UK Banking and US authorities.
A. M.
A beautiful place to take photos and really good looking Some of the lesser known tourist spots of London
M. K.
Fantastic rooftop terrace. Drinks are well priced but good quality. Architecture lovers will enjoy.

I just love this building as a work of architectural art, and the city is always an interesting walk if you enjoy the glass and steel forest.

One of the only times when you can visit the top door is during London Open House. Be ready to queue for 2-3 hours. Better get there early!
R. D.
Nice view from top floor bar (prices as you expecting). Definitely impressive architecture and design of building.

Amazing place ....St Mary Axe was a medieval parish in the City of London whose name survives as that of the street which formerly occupied it. The Church of St Mary Axe was demolished in 1561 and its parish united with that of St Andrew Undershaft, which is situated on the corner of St Mary Axe and Leadenhall Street

Very nice

Still there. It is getting smaller and smaller year by year but it is still my favourite building inside outside. Amazing view from top through the windows

Fantastic views, excellent choice menu with friendly helpful staff.Highly recommend.

Great all round views from the top but it's not open to the public. There's a restaurant at the top (Searcy's) but you have to be a guest and go with someone who works in the building.

Iconic new London tower, tasty brunch and don't forget to go up to the bar located in the very tip of the tower
V. I.
Great views and nice cocktails, a bit pricey but I belive these are the prices for these kind of places.
A. P.
It's just beautiful. What can be better than sitting at your work desk in the Gherkin and watch the people passing by halt and point their cameras upwards in an attempt to get a this beauty in frame.!!
I. P.
Good views from the bar but the restaurant been a bit spoilt by new highrise blocking views up river. Food good but not cheap. Maybe just go to bar is best idea.
M. H.
I came to the Sterling for a work xmas lunch and was happy with the service. The staff were friendly and supportive. The xmas lunch was tasty and really enjoyed it.
G. I.
Lovely location with great views of London's stunning skylines especially at night time. The food wasn't great hence why I only give it 4 stars.
K. B.
You gotta come a least once, nice climate bar, great cocktail menu, friendly staff, lovely view
M. M.
Amazing views, especially if you're there for sunset! Food is very tasty as well, we had a great time :)

Great location and spectacular views of the city. Fantastic restaurant on top floor although portion sizes could be larger. Great location for a special drink in the summer.

This is a great place to visit when in London. The architecture is stunning. The contrasts are great with the nearby church and other buildings.

There is always something about the Gerkin, and the design that you always like to take photos of.
I. R.
Monster skyscraper squeezed in the middle of others...I have finally seen more from London, but The Gherkin is not something what I need to see again...But I am not big fan of modern architecture :)
j. b.
Now a cliche comfortably ensconced on the London skyline, but it's at close quarters and a foot that its presence and impact are best appreciated. Encapsulates the ethos of modern London. Potentially folkloric.
D. K. S.
I came to specifically admire the architecture from outside. Very beautiful indeed. You can see the building from the Tower of London.

Incredible food with an amazing view

Tower 30 St Mary Ax, known for its Gherkin-like shape, uses less electricity than usual thanks to modern solar energy technology. The co-ordination of the supermodern Gherkin, created by the project of the famous British architect Norman Foster in 2003, with the 12th-century Gothic Church of St. Helen Bishopsgate, Shakespeare's parish church, is an example of London's ability to combine the present with the past.
Gherkin rises to the place of the Baltic Exchange, the world center of shipping and ship sales, which was blasted on April 10, 1992 by a bomb set by the Irish Republican Army. The blast destroyed much of the historic buildings in the area.

Good experience. Had 2 cocktails as a gift for my bday. Was good. Definitely different.
R. M.
Not sure how to review this - it's a huge office building with a couple of cafes at the bottom and often a market outside. It looks quite unique and fun from afar.
V. I.
Not impressed with interior but that is, perhaps, because I do not like the exterior at all. I think the Gherkin is just a blight on what was a beautiful skyline.

Our favorite building in the whole of london! we love the Gherkin - Great

J. c.

N. A.
Famous London landmark with great food and drink options in and around it. In the world famous financial district
A. P.
Was pretty cool to see The Gherkin from ground level but I was disappointed that it wasn’t a hospital. Children’s television has lied to me.
R. C.
Excellent views and lovely restaurant. Food and drink is very expensive but worth the visit. ( One for the bucket list.)
A. S.
Great view and nice drinks selections. However it does get hot during the day. AC not effective.
i. c.
Still one of the best, modern buildings in The City. Good coffee shops at Street level and great pop up stalls on Thursday lunch times.
N. G.
The well prese Ted but slightly disappointing food lacked a little in flavour and imagination, but doesnt detract from a good overall experience in thanks mainly to the view and grandeur.

A must visit in London
K. B.
Lunch at the iconic Gherkin. Fine dining with incomparable views and a 360 degree bar at the very top of the building.
G. R.
Brilliant coffee shop at base of the gherkin, tight security to get into the building. Incredible shape.
A. A.
One of London's most iconic building. Does not look as big up close as it looks from a distance. Non the less it still looks magnificent.
J. M.
Icon building, great meeting rooms with excellent views and service, and a fantastic place to dine, especially when not paying. Just find any excuse to get to the top of it.
G. D.
Had a lovely couple of drinks here, place is very modern, and contemporary. Will come back but nothing stand's out to be honest.

Fantastic. The views the meal the service are all great. Go for it....recommended is the gin lunch though next time am coming at night for the dinner.
C. M.
Very picturesque building. Great area. Aldgate is, for some reason, underrated. But a coffee in the area, surrounded by skyscrapers gives you a nice vibe.
G. B.
awesome setting, splendid food, however staff to pushy and want to rush you constantly for the next dish, so they can get you out so they can get the next ones in. shall never return. Shame
M. K.
Te beauty of raining .
D. P.
One of the only times when you can visit the top door is during London Open House. Be ready to queue for 2-3 hours. Better get there early!
R. N.

A. M.
Great views for a special occasion drink in the top bar or restaurant on next level down.
A. A.
Really pretty views from here. A nice area to sight see and walk, with some good restaurants around the dock.
C. J.
Expensive upselling when we came with a gift voucher. Promised vegan options which were veggie options without crucial ingredients.
B. A.
Fantastic panoramic views across the City and London. The visitor check in is a little fiddly but worth the effort.
P. L.
Been up a few times, you need to be a member to get up to the top or the restaurants, so don't just turn up. Membership is however, pretty reasonable.
J. W.
norman forster... futuristic architecture

Nice venue. Good service. Staff work very hard. Not fine dinning. Average city restaurant

The Gherkin is one of the friendlier high rises of London, with a cosy space around it. It has a certain soothing quality with its smooth, dark shape.
P. T.
Great service - Great views

Ancient and modern day London.suave and swag and historical City of London.

It's a massive Gherkin. What's not to like. Regularly have food trucks parked around. Also good bar and good cake shop.
M. R.
A stunning skyscraper bar with amazing views over the city and really lovely decor.

Iconic building with a unique design, has airport style security to get in. The view from the topmost deck is incredible
A. P.
Beautiful food attentive staff but looking a little tired could do with a paint . But would go back
R. L.
Views, food and staff are all very good, but it's like eating in an echo chamber. I came away with a full stomach and a headache.
E. A.
No proper dance floor... Not idel for a good dance night out. Else it's a good place to just hang out for a drink.
E. R.

Nice outside seating area of The Sterling Bar. However, bar itself is small and so service can be slow.
