Carly is a fantastic pregnancy yoga instructor who brings hypnobirthing tools and techniques into her classes. I went to Carly with both pregnancies even though I’d moved out the area second time around because I couldn’t find anyone quite like her! Learning through her classes helped me achieve two very positive birth experiences. Thank you Carly!
M. D.
A couple of friends recommended Carly's pregnancy yoga class. It's in a beautiful, light, airy space overlooking Downhills park. I loved starting my weekend with the class and Carly gave us so many helpful tips for labour and birth in addition to the brilliant yoga sessions. After the class she also offers the option to stay, have a chat and share pregnancy experiences; I've met some lovely, local women as a result which is great for maternity leave!
I also opted to have Carly as our doula as we were planning for a homebirth and I wanted to have someone I knew and trusted. This turned out to be an invaluable decision as our baby arrived in a hurry without any midwives present and Carly delivered him!
Thank you Carly, you're amazing. Wish more women/couples could have your birth preparation sessions. It helped us to feel really empowered and informed.

I joined Carly's pregnancy yoga class and it soon become an essential part of my pregnancy preparation. She is so knowledgable and the class environment, with the discussions at the end, were incredibly valuable. We also took her hypnobirthing course which was massively informative, particularly for my partner. When we decided to have a home birth we asked Carly to be our doula and thank goodness we did. She was incredible and actually ended up catching our baby when the midwives left! Her calm presence and thorough knowledge were so vital to us. I can't recommend her enough.
K. M.
I couldn’t recommend Carly more highly. She was absolutely pivotal in ensuring I got the birth I wanted (VBAC) and supported me in getting vital access to the birthing suite ahead of time. She was a constant grounding energy throughout the process and her knowledge of the birthing body helped my baby get into an optimal position. Even though my labour was 48 hours long it was such a wonderful experience, I felt completely empowered throughout and like superwomen after. Carly you are a birthing angel xx

My husband and I did Carly’s hypnobirthing course and it was invaluable. Teaching us about our birth rights and sharing knowledge which truly changed our birth experience, and we led it the way we wanted. We came away feeling informed, more confident and in control. I also did the pregnancy yoga course which provided me with breathing techniques and active positions for early labour. I highly recommend Carly and can’t thank her enough for everything she taught us.

Brilliant pregnancy yoga class on a Saturday morning. It was the highlight of my week when I was feeling very uncomfortable in my third trimester. Carly has great intuition and lots of experience and it really shows. I am so glad I did the hypnobirthing essentials course, it was exactly what I needed to go into the birth of my second child empowered and confident.

At first I was unsure as to whether having a doula would be necessary but having worked with Carly throughout my pregnancy so far, my partner and I feel so much more informed and empowered - we are now really looking forward to the birth!
Pregnancy yoga on Saturday mornings has become one of my favourite times of the week and has already helped alleviate stress, aches and pains.
Carly's hypnobirthing course is also a must - thorough but engaging, leaving both my partner and I feeling excited and prepared.

I met Carly attending her pregnancy yoga classes on Saturdays. The yoga was great for staying active, but also for practising useful breathing and mindfulness techniques pre labour. The group discussion afterwards also creates a real sense of community between expecting mums, as a great forum to share experiences and advice.
My partner and I also joined Carly 's hypnobirthing essentials course which proved invaluable in early labour and for helping us make informed decisions when the time came. And close to my due date we also did an antenatal 'power hour' to help us navigate some last minute curveballs on possible inductions. Carly's counsel here was again invaluable and so informed on various policies and hospital protocols which were influencing the options we were presented with. The information she provided both helped reassure me to a positive mindset again, and enabled us to make informed rather than kneejerk decisions.
I would unreservedly recommend Carly's support in all these ways to any other expectant parents in the area!

Carly’s yoga class was a little sanctuary during my pregnancy and I looked forward to it every week. She focuses on breathing, building strength and flexibility - all geared towards on the birth process and to ease the daily aches and pains of pregnancy. Her knowledge as a doula really comes across as she gives lots of tips on how you can use different positions in labour etc. There is an optional ‘circle time’ at the end of the class where everyone is invited to share their experiences of the week. I really enjoyed hearing how people were getting on at different stages of their pregnancies and it was a great way to share information too. Highly recommended!

I would 1000% recommend Carly! I cannot recommend the courses highly enough. Her courses have absolutely revolutionised my labour. We were so prepared for everything that might happen and so relaxed about it in the weeks leading up to birth (as opposed to the start of my pregnancy). We did the full hypnobirthing course with Carly and the one day workshop in her house. We also had Carly when needed on the phone during my labour. We used so many of her tips, from bringing frozen fruits with us that I could pop into my mouth, electrolytes to drink, pouring water on my sacrum in the birth pool through to all the supportive positions. My partner was even reading Carly’s relaxation scripts whilst I was in the birthing pool!

I’ve attended Carly’s pregnancy yoga since around 20 weeks pregnant. It’s lovely and relaxing, in a great location and has done wonders for my back and hip pain. She’s super knowledgeable and is always happy to answer any questions. I would love 100% recommend.
M. P.
Cannot recommend Carly’s pregnancy yoga and hypnobirthing course highly enough. Carly’s approach is based on empowering the mother and father/partner to make informed, proactive, positive decisions and truly control your pre-birth and labour experience every step of the way. Using hypnobirthing techniques and fully tapping into my parasympathetic nervous system, I had a calm, controlled labour where my birthing plan was respected and I only used water for pain relief. I also had no tears or stitches, despite 3 hours of pushing and being a first time mum.
P. G.
Carly was our doula and hypnobirthing instructor. Having her with us in the run up to and during the birth was invaluable. We had an incredibly positive experience and we’re able to be at home throughout the birth, feeling safe and supported thanks to Carly’s reassurance and guidance.
J. K.
I am so pleased I found Carly's yoga class. It has been a great way to spend a Saturday morning during my pregnancy, for exercise, relaxation and meeting others who are having babies in the area. Carly is a great teacher and so knowledgeable about all things birth. She will be joining me and my partner as a doula for the birth of our second child in the next few weeks, and knowing she will be there to support us is incredibly reassuring. I've already learned lots about the biomechanics of birth at our pre-birth sessions and am really looking forward to having this baby to try out the techniques!
C. H.
Carly is magnificent. I have been attending her weekly pregnancy yoga sessions since I was 15 weeks pregnant and feel great for it - I love the balance of mindfulness, breathwork, visualisation and movement and how practical it all is for pregnancy and labour too. I’ve learned so much from Carly and the community she has created - particularly during the Hypnobirthing Essentials course. This was the perfect summary of the key aspects of hypnobirthing which left my husband and I inspired and empowered. Thank you for all you do!
F. D.
Carly was brilliant. She totally changed our view of hypnobirthing. It really opened our eyes to a world of birthing opportunities. The honest and no nonense approach was also very refreshing. We feel far more prepared and informed about the upcoming arrival of our baby. Would highly recommend.
G. T.
After a fantastic Hypnobirthing course and practical birth preparation workshop with Carly, that completely changed how we both felt about birth, we decided to also have her as our doula. Having Carly by our side leading to, and on the day, made us feel so safe and supported. We were able to focus on each other and be completely in the moment, with Carly very intuitively and gently guiding us and helping. Her support, both practical and emotional, always came at just the right moment; applying pressure just when and where I needed, encouraging me and saying just the thing I needed to hear. Her warmth, knowledge, passion and sense of humour is everything you want and need in this experience and we feel very lucky to have found her. Highly recommended!
M. W.
My partner and I met Carly on our quest for a doula to help us pursue an all-natural, drug-free VBAC experience for our second born. We knew straight away when we spoke to Carly on FaceTime that she was the one for us - friendly, understanding, down to earth and extremely knowledgeable.
We both believe Carly was the reason we were able to experience the birth we wanted. She gave us unwavering support during the lead up to the birth, when we needed reassurance in the early stages of labour, e.g. when we might want to go to hospital. She was also there for us both during and after the birth, especially to help navigate some more difficult decisions/discussions we had with the hospital after the birth.
We feel like these words just aren’t enough to really describe the gratitude we feel for having Carly by our sides. She was brilliant! Thank you so much for helping to make our dreams come true. We couldn’t have done it without you!!

Hypnobirthing with Carly was a game changer for us. I was sceptical about what to expect from Hypnobirthing but with Carly's wealth of knowledge and down to earth approach we feel so much more prepared for birth and beyond. It helped us to challenge how we thought and led us to informed decisions that we're really confident in. Carly's prenatal yoga classes are brilliant and have introduced me to a really supportive local community of women in the same position. Can't recommend highly enough!
R. B.
Carly is brilliant. Hugely knowledgeable, reassuring and encouraging. She's empowered me to have the birth I want to have, to know what my rights are and not to fear labour and birth but look forward to it. We took her hypnobirthing class and have been practising yoga with her weekly which is great preparation - physically and mentally. Highly recommend.
R. D. M.
I love Carly’s yoga sessions. They feel like such fantastic preparation for birth. I’d highly recommend these to any expectant mammas.
F. B.
Would highly recommend Carly - I’ve done pregnancy yoga, hypnobirthing and her practical birth workshop. All brilliant and well worth doing. Lots of really useful and practical tips for preparing for birth. Carly’s so knowledgeable and makes space for everyone’s questions and experiences in the way she teaches. We both feel much more prepared for what’s to come.

I LOVE to do prenatal yoga classes with Carly. The sessions are perfectly built, great mix of relaxation and strength work. Also, a good opportunity to meet and share experiences with other women. Carly gives a lot of good tips and techniques to use during labour, she really loves to share her knowledge.
With my partner I also did the 4 week ante natal/hypno birthing course that is very informative and empowering. I recommend!
R. M.
My partner and I took a couples birth prep session with Carly and we found it very informative, engaging and empowering. The class gave us a real sense of the practical side of things, different breathing techniques and positions for early labour through to birth. The clear instruction in how to work with my partner through every stage of the process, the togetherness and relaxation we felt during the session was great. I would highly recommend Carly!

My partner and I took Carly's hypnobirthing course when it was only available on zoom due to Covid. She did a lovely job keeping everyone engaged and still performing demonstrations and having us all participate. She shares so much good and useful information, and tailored a lot of content specifically to the group, i.e considering where we were all giving birth, where we were in our pregnancy etc.
Carly also made sure that she kept in touch throughout the weeks to encourage us, left space for any and all questions, and offered us to reach out personally for any additional support.
Definitely recommend Carly's course especially if you are new to the idea of hypnobirthing, she goes through everything in detail and at a great pace for all!

Carly is an amazing person to know and work with during pregnancy! I discovered her hypnobirthing course at a time when I was feeling overwhelmed about giving birth, and found the course to be reassuring, relatable and just the right amount of information. My husband and I both felt informed and confident after the zoom call series and enjoyed taking these calls from our living room! Her yoga classes are also awesome! Carly is great, highly recommend to anyone wanting to know more about hypnobirthing and active labour to feel more prepared!

Me and my husband found Carly's 4 week ante natal/hypno birthing course so informative, positive and I especially found it empowering. We now feel a lot more informed about what we can do to prepare and use for a positive birth. Learning some active labour positions and relaxation techniques was really useful too, especially how my partner can help and be involved. We felt really comfortable asking questions and Carly is very knowledgeable and has a lot of great first hand experience supporting women during pregnancy and labour. I feel more confident that I have voice and choices during my pregnancy and labour, to ask questions and I feel clearer about what I ideally want and knowing that birth is not something that just happens to me. Thanks Carly!
C. L.
We found Carly’s course to be an essential step in preparing for birth. We went into it relatively clueless with questions we were hesitant to research online and came out feeling informed, empowered and importantly much more calm and collected!
Carly offers a wealth of knowledge - scientific, theoretical and first hand practical! She creates a lovely, safe, atmosphere to share in with the rest of your group. There’s no question she can’t answer and is a genuinely lovely person to involve in your birthing journey. Highly reccomended!
K. T.
I did Carly's pregnancy yoga class via Zoom. She was experienced, calm and the classes were so relaxing. I found her references to positions during labour really helpful. I also enjoyed the fact she encouraged the participants to have a chat at the end of the class to discuss any pregnancy niggles / questions etc. Carly is full of useful insight and is very kind. I wholeheartedly recommend her classes.

Carly is a wonderful hypnobirthing & yoga teacher and was an invaluable support to me in the lead up to the birth of my second baby - helping me to navigate an emotional time and supporting me to advocate for myself during labour. I would recommend her to any expectant parents, working with her is the best thing I did during my pregnancy!
J. J.
I’ve done pre and post natal yoga with Carly for both my babies now and always recommend her to other mums. I loved her prenatal classes for offering a combination of safe stretches, relaxation, breathing exercises and a focus on the best positions for birth - all in all, great preparation for birth! And it has been lovely to come back to yoga through the post natal classes, Carly is so considerate of the huge changes that happen in our bodies during this time. I’ve found it a really lovely thing to do as a bonding experience with my baby (gurgling on the mat while I’m in downward dog - and also needing to be fed and held at times of course! And Carly is great at offering adaptations when this happens) and as a way of coming back to myself and my body post birth. Thanks Carly!

After finishing our NCT classes, I felt more anxious about the birth and broke down on my partner saying i wasn't ready for this... Couple days later he showed me Carly's website and said we should call her. We ve been skeptical this whole time about hypnobirthing but it was more and more mentioned amongst our friends as the thing to do! From our first conversation with Carly, she said she loved skeptical people and hypnobirthing was very logical and she'd be happy to help us.
Note: i felt it was too late as i was already 36 weeks but she assured me it was never too late.
Straight away after our first session with her, something opened up for me and my partner and we ended talking for another couple hours after that and felt more confident and empowered to know how to deal with the upcoming birth of our child. Carly gave us very useful material and exercises to practice everyday which each time makes us feel more relaxed and confident. She also runs an amazing online yoga class once a week which makes a whole difference in my day.
I would definitely recommend Carly, she is very professional and reassuring in the whole process with tools that works wonder even in a very short time.
We are grateful to have found her!
Thank you Carly!

Carly is so great at preparing you for birth. Her experience as a doula, guiding mothers through both home births hospital birth is invaluable. The course contains so much fantastic advice on what to expect and how to get the most out of the services offered during pregnancy. The course helps prepare you for what's to come, through both expert hypnobirthing techniques as well as really useful practical advice from years of experience! I decided to do this course in preparation for the birth of my second child after a difficult first labour, and I can certainly say it was the best decision I made....I had a fantastic second labour. Would recommend the course to anyone,
G. R.
Carly is an runs excellent antenatal yoga classes and Hypnobirthing courses. She is a very experienced and competent teacher and I would highly recommend them both. The yoga classes are suitable for all stages of pregnancy and are great for relaxation / breathing as well as increasing strength and flexibility. The Hypobirthing course provided us with a breadth of information, skills and confidence to look forward to birth.

My partner and I took Carly’s Hypnobirthing course in preparation for the birth of our first baby, the group was small and intimate and Carly was very informative and down to earth, we liked that we could ask any question no matter how silly and came away feeling excited for our new arrival. I also enjoyed Carlys pregnancy yoga classes as they were energising but relaxing so I felt I was getting a bit of a gentle workout without putting too much pressure on myself or my body!
C. H.
I returned to yoga after a break of a few years and I'm so pleased it was with Carly! I was slightly nervous, partly because I now had a young baby in tow and I was also quite unfit after months of (mandatory) mat leave coffee and cake! Thanks to Covid restrictions, our first few sessions were held in the park, which turns out to have been a blessing in disguise. Outdoor yoga provides an ideal setting for getting back in touch with your body - and nature. There's something particularly cathartic watching (upside down!) the leaves sway in the trees when you're doing a downward dog, or the clouds float by overhead while working your pelvic floor. Carly is a warm, calm, confident teacher and for the hour you're in her class you feel confident in yourself and your body and its capabilities. I really love the focus on pelvic floor strength but it doesn't dominate the practice - it's just a great yoga class and feels like an indulgence in my week, re-setting me for what lies ahead. I highly recommended you inviting Carly into your yoga practice, and life!

I don’t know how we would have done it without Carly!
As we planned a homebirth we really wanted to know that we can call someone to help us even in the early stages of labour(that lasted 3 days!). Carly’s presence was so reassuring and calming at home both for me and my partner, made us feel so safe and looked after.
When we had to transfer to the birth centre we couldn’t have imagined just how invaluable her nurturing nature will be. We created our own little bubble, it was an unbreakable bond of support. Her holding a hot shower above me for 4h without a break, my partner passing the gas&air, breathing and swaying together.
As we experienced another transfer to delivery suite and then theatre, Carly’s protective side kicked in and she even told the staff off a couple of times for mistreating me and not allowing me to be in control. I felt much stronger in her presence and will never forget this! Thank you 🙏🏻
K. T.
Carly’s pregnancy yoga is a lovely way to prepare both physically and mentally for giving birth, whether it’s your first or subsequent pregnancy. She is a skilled teacher, experienced mother and effortlessly good company. The session is also a great way to meet other Mums-to-be with the optional chat at the end. I can’t wait to start the postnatal group!
C. F.
As a regular to yoga, I was surprised at how different pregnancy yoga actually is - While there are certainly many familiar moves, with helpful modifications, it has a very strong focus on breath work and birth preparation that I would never have got in my usual practice. Carly’s experience as a doula and mother means she has a wealth of knowledge to share and certainly put me, as a first time mum, at ease. I used the vocalisations I learnt in class all through the active labour and believe it kept me from needing any pain relief. I would highly recommend Carly’s prenatal yoga classes!
E. M.
As a first time mum I was suffering from so many body changes in pregnancy so tried this class to see if it helped me sleep better and it really did!
Carly is so understanding and caring for all her students. She listens to what’s happening with our bodies and adjusts her sessions to help ease our aches and pains! Her group chats are really great after the class, and build a real sense of support and community between us. Would definitely recommend to any mum to be’s!
A.
Carly is very knowledgeable and generous with her knowledge. It is a course that is not rigid. It was a great experience that is helping us to understand more about the process of giving birth and encouraging us to ask and wonder beyond what one is told by the health professionals. We have books, audiobooks, NTC classes and I still found this course very complementary to all other tools.
Definitely a good investment to gain knowledge and with it confidence to make the decisions. Recommend 100%
j. y.
Absolutely love Carly's pretnatal yoga lessons. The yoga sessions themselves are great, with a great mix of yoga and breathing exercises that will help in labour itself. I also really value the opportunity to chat to other mums to be in the area. Will definitely be doing the post natal classes.
A. M.
Brilliant, thorough course. I feel so much more prepared emotionally, physically and practically, than I did before. Carly is down-to-earth, savvy and also knowledgeable - helped me to feel strong and empowered. Definitely recommend!
E. B.
Carly runs brilliant pregnancy yoga classes. They are currently being held on Zoom rather than in person, but I don't feel like I'm missing out at all. I always leave her classes feeling much better physically and mentally. I particularly like the opportunity to share at the end of the class, which has lead to getting to know other mums to be in the area.
C. H.
My partner and I did Carly's hypno-birthing course and it was fantastic. I found it really informative and enjoyable. The course helped me feel very prepared to support my partner when she is birthing our child.

Working with Carly for the birth of our first child was one of the best decisions and investments on our journey to parenthood. We met with a few different doulas before meeting Carly and it was clear from the start that Carly’s warm nature, professional and personal experiences, and crystal clear communications were exactly what we were looking for.
The pre-birth sessions with Carly were very practical and informative, which helped set our minds for the birth. She came armed with useful knowledge, tips and even a template that we used for our birth plan. When we went into labour, it was great to have Carly at the end of the phone to discuss and provide guidance on breathing and pain management strategies. And when it was time to go to the hospital, Carly was right there by our side - providing a reassuring voice and an extra pair of hands to help with things like navigating the taxi and helping with our hospital bags. Once we were admitted to the hospital, Carly’s presence as our birth partner was truly invaluable. Words really can’t express how much Carly helped us manage the labour highs and lows! She was brilliant as our birth advocate, and helped us cope with the labour pains in the birthing pool - even providing a sturdy hand to hold. And when things didn’t go quite as planned in the birthing centre, Carly kept us calm, and provided continuity of support in the labour ward. When we were finally able to go home with our newborn daughter, Carly was right there - helping to debrief on the birth, and also providing fantastic advice on sleeping and breastfeeding.
Carly brought a sensitive, calming and practical presence to our birthing journey and her experience - both professionally as a doula and personally as a mother of three - was clear from the start of our work together. We felt calmer, and armed with the right knowledge, skills and confidence for the birth. This was helpful for both of us but for Dom in particular. We would highly recommend Carly to anyone looking for birth doula.

Doing the Hypnobirthing course with Carly was the best thing I could do for the journey as a first time mum. Highly recommend everyone to do this course.

I so enjoyed doing antenatal yoga with Carly, it was such a lovely experience. She creates such a nurturing environment, particularly with the post session chats which I found reassuring and helpful about pregnancy and birth. She’s also a fantastic teacher and the sessions were so relaxing, even having to do them on zoom!
K. D.
Carly’s pregnancy yoga classes have been my saving grace through all trimesters of my pregnancy as a first time mom. I took one in-person class with her before the COVID-19 lockdown and all the rest of our classes have been online, which has worked perfectly. I’ve been able to keep active throughout my pregnancy at a time when I didn’t feel safe to exercise outside everyday. Her online teaching has been visually and audibly clear and consistent, and most importantly, I’ve learned very practical positions for labour and child birth, as well as states-of-mind, visualisations and breathing techniques which I feel have directly prepared me for the big day. With the added mummy discussions at the end of each class, I’ve gotten ALOT more out of her yoga classes than I thought I would. I can’t imagine surviving pregnancy during a pandemic without her classes!
I was so impressed with her knowledge, that my partner and I enrolled in her online antenatal and Hypnobirthing course as well. Over 4 weeks, we learned all about the practical process of labour and childbirth, couples positions for labour and hypnobirthing techniques (with the aid of digital reading materials). The online classes worked remarkably well and gave my partner and I a confidence in knowledge and respect of our own wishes as first-time parents that we didn't have before. She really empowered us with information and her knowledge as a doula, mum and yoga teacher of many years. My partner is particularly relaxed now in how he’ll support me on the big day, which puts me further at ease. Carly really is a generous teacher and we’re so grateful… I highly recommend her classes and courses, online or otherwise!
L. B.
I really enjoyed attending Carly's pregnancy yoga. It was both helpful for keeping active during pregnancy and preparing for labour. Even during Covid she has maintained a great Zoom based practice. Would highly recommend!
B. B.
Carly has such amazing energy, you really feel your in a safe space. I highly recommend the hypno birthing class, me and my partner really enjoyed it and learnt alot!
E. T.
Nick and I both really enjoyed the course and got so much from it. We feel really well equipped, informed and positive about what's to come. The format worked really well and whilst obviously it would have been great to do it in person the zoom format didn't feel like hardwork at all. The sessions seemed to whizz by. There was a lot of information, but Carly made loads of time for all our questions so we feel like we understand it all in our own way. We also really appreciated the practice relaxations, going through the birth plan and identifying our hopes and fears - and incorporating that into our hypnobirthing. Thanks Carly for all the help and being so generous with your time.
