Reviews of Bridge Theatre
G. W.
Nice modern theatre next to Tower Bridge. Great bar with good selection at reasonable prices and a free cloakroom.
Went to see Book of Dust which was an excellent raw production not relying on too many props with a great cast.
P. K.
Great modern theatre, comfortable seats with good viewing angles and modern production facilities. Comfortable foyer and quick entry.
We went and saw Book of Dust I'd rate that a 4/5. Malcolm was absolutely fantastic, the production made good use of the stage and gadgets. Dressing the puppeteers as street urchins was an odd choice and removed me from the play several times. They should have been dressed in all black like the stage hand pulling the boat or the original his dark material play in the nation theatre. The puppets themselves were hit and miss. Some were fantastic and full of life. Others a paper bird with an led and a clip. Would definitely recommend to anyone interested in the world of Philip Pullmans but nothing revelatory..
P.
Absolutely incredible experience, one of the best theatrical performances I've attended. The cast were exquisite, the staff friendly and the venue beautiful, clean and tidy as always.
L. G.
What a great new theatre to see a play in.! The facility and location is beautiful, seats are roomy and comfortable, staff was friendly, and checking in was a breeze.
S. W.
Absolutely love the Bridge Theatre. The Book of Dust was an excellent production in every way. I can even forgive them for not having madeleines at the moment.
T. S.
Amazing theatre. Really well set out. All seats and good views no obstructions. Good service and freindly staff. Use the website to book interval drinks for an added touch of service. However no real snacks to be had other than salted almonds and ice-cream - so smuggle your own in 😜
E.
Really lovely modern theatre. I saw 'The Book of Dust - La Belle Sauvage' and the staging was absolutely incredible. A great venue with a competent seating plan, you can sit anywhere and not have to worry about your view.

My first visit to Bridge Theatre was outstanding, from the walk past Tower Bridge, friendliness in the flyer and fabulous theatre vibe.
'Book of Dust' did not disappoint, especially newcomer Samuel Creasey. Well worth a flying theatre trip from Kuwait.
S. E.
Amazing production, really enjoyed the event. Bridge theatre is a brilliant theatre, great site near loads of restaurants and proper facilties inside including enough loos and adequate leg room. Thoroughly recommend.
M. S.
Thoroughly enjoyed watching 'White Noise' at The Bridge Theatre last month. The free cloakroom was handy, although I was advised to keep my coat with me due to ventilation being circulated classified as 'cold'. The only thing I would have loved if there were a wider range of snack options available to purchase during the intermission.
T.
Wonderful show again, we’re regulars.
Just two things to note, have toilets open after the performance - for many might struggle without. How about the elderly, those who simply have to go?
On the same theme don’t put up barriers to re entry for someone who quietly has to go to the loo other theatres even the royal opera a house allow it, again by doing this you’re discriminating against the elderly and those who simply can’t wait.
L. B.
My favourite London theatre - I will go and see almost any show they put on just due to the venue.
Saw the immersive performance of Midsummer Night's Dream when it was on and it was an incredible experience. Wish there were more shows done in that style, although recognise it must add a huge amount of work!!
S. C.
If you have read the Book of Dust then definitely go to the Bridge Theatre and see the play. The way the Daemons are portrayed are ingenious. The main characters Malcolm and Alice are played brilliantly by adults. They both kept the audience enthralled and amused. A special mention needs to go to the baby who behaved beautifully and was immediately loved by the audience.
j. b.
This is a really great theatre where we have just seen Book of Dust. Excellent performance. Previously saw Julius Caesar with Michelle Fairley, Ben Wishaw and David Morrisey and it was superb. Seats are angled towards stage in some performances and seats in Upper levels have to climbed up into so don't pick these if you have mobility problems. Decent bar too
J. C.
Excellent theatre with great views of the stage. Seating is quit tight, especially for a big boy. There are two bars: on the main reception and downstairs. Toilets are downstairs
N. S.
Saw "The Lion, the Witch and The Wardrobe" here on Nov. 26, 2019. First time at this theatre. Was impressed. Great location, right next to the Tower Bridge.
There is a quick bag search to get inside if you are carrying a bag. Picking up our tickets was easy, as we just had to give our last name at the box office, which is located just to the right of the entrance.
The decor and layout of the place is relaxing and classy.
The production itself was quite good. The actors had great voices and were believable. Audience participation was fun and not intrusive. The evening went by pretty quickly. A friend bought ice cream in the intermission for £3.50 and it looked pretty good.
Check this place out!
S. S.
Lovely new theatre on the South Bank.Really nice atmosphere, quick service at the bar.
Very impressed that there were more than usual number of ladies toilets.
Auditorium very comfortable, good leg room and sightings were good (from where we were anyway)
S. F.
Lovely shiny new theatre. Great space, comfortable seating and I've seen the view from the stalls and gallery 1 which are both pretty good. Decent gradient so other people's heads aren't a problem even for a shortie like me. The staff were friendly and the bar area is really attractive. However, they only seen to serve really small simple snacks and sandwiches. And £7.80 for a sandwich feels rather steep, especially with a wide range of reasonable restaurants around the corner on More London. The interval Madeleines made the whole place smell delicious though.
S. W.
Saw the 'The Book of Dust' play. It was an unbelievably awesome play with fantastic puppetry and effects. Theatre itself is clean and slick. Sat at the top in Gallery 2 and saw everything perfectly.
A. R.
One of the newest theatres to London, this is going to become a real jewel in the creative crown. Situated about 10 mins from London Bridge Station, beside city hall, this theatre boasts a stalls area and 3 galleries. It is quite compact, so most seats offer fantastic views. I sat in the stalls and the seats are the best I've ever had in a theatre, really comfy with fantastic legroom, such a nice experience. The staff are friendly, there is a large bar area, and lots of toilets. Do support this theatre if you get the chance!
L. L.
Great modern theatre space with amazing performances and choice of shows.
Comfortable seating with leg room and with good view anywhere in the house.
The seating arrangements change depending on the show and the stage.
Helpful staff by the doors, at the bar and at the theatre.
There is a bar upstairs that can get busy before and during the intervals. Dont forget to have some warm magdalene. They are lovely!
B. F.
The actual theatre is well designed with good layout and seats, good facilities, nice atmosphere and will definitely be back. The foyer bar may need to step up a little in quality, found the bar staff either unhelpful or poorly trained (3 of them hanging on elbows on bar in a corner hardly bothered to reply to a question about the food) and the wine on offer not great for the price.
S. B.
What a magical performance space! My first visit to this theatre for truly spectacular (immersive) version of A Midsummer Night's Dream (rather like Shakespeare on acid). It was so brilliant, I need to go again.
The theatre staff are polite, efficient and cheerful. Easily accessible from either London Bridge or Tower Hill tube. London Bridge is closer, but Tower Hill is a more pleasant walk.
B.
Stunning new theatre. The only downside is the lack of gluten, dairy free meals and alcohol free beer. Having said this I love the handkerchief pendant lamps hanging from the ceiling, there are oodles of ladies loos, the most incredibly spacious and comfortable seats and to kick this all off with Rory Kinnerton with stellar cast in Young Marx. Nicolas Hytner is back - he has been missed!
L. Z.
My favourite theatre. I like the layout.
S. K.
A truly unique experience taking theatre to a whole new level, bravo Bridge Theatre.
My partner and me went for Afternoon Tea at The Ivy and noticed the Bridge Theatre. The booking team were wonderful even when we seemed picky and difficult in choosing our seats to watch Midsummer Night's Dream. A huge thumbs up for Bridge Theatre, the online and offline experience was seamless.
S. P.
One of the best theatre in London now, it's always interesting.
Nice auditorium, reasonable price and plenty of bathrooms (a rarity in London theatres! )
C. K.
Went to see A Midsummer night's dream. And it was just amazing. The theatre is well different, but will say unique . Just an absolute amazing show with a modern twist.Go on and treat yourself.
G. E.
It's a beautiful modern venue and auditorium space. They've done a great job opening up and using the space wisely under social distancing requirements. Wine is a bit pricey. Cafe space during the day is great in usual circumstances.
M. K.
Great space, the theatre itself is well laid out with a clear view of the stage from pretty much anywhere. Big spacious lobby with soft lighting, friendly quick service at the bar. They've got both alcoholic and soft drinks, as well as coffee and food.
L. L.
I love this theatre. Seats comfortable, good view from every seat I've tried. No queue for the ladies' loo!! And I once booked for a promenade performance, then broke my ankle 6 or 8 weeks before the performance. I phoned to say I wasn't going to come so they might resell the ticket - they found me a seat in the stalls. How helpful is that?
I've seen 10 shows here-all excellent. The next 4 were cancelled (Lockdown) sadly. One has just been rescheduled and I'm looking forward to the new season.
F. P.
What an incredible space, venue and production! The theatre is such that a show can be designed in such a way you can get an incredibly intimate immersive experience to the show. This is a modern day globe theatre!
X. S. P.
What an amazing unique venue! Designed in a modern style following a similar seating plan to The Globe, the center of this venue is a dynamic stage that pops up and down forcing the standing crowd to move around the action and be part of it. If you're standing at the center, be ready to be pushed around by the ushers when the stage pops up right under your feet, creating a tense mood between the actors and the public which will set the mood for the play at the right time.
A. T.
Beautiful theatre with great views over the river from the foyer. The theatre is not very large so you get good views from just about everywhere except the top row on the sides where you have an obstructed view. The before view is from the top floor seat A50
S. H.
A really great theatre as currently one of the newest in London (Opened 2017). The lay out is a great design and from most seats on each gallery (there are three) you will get a good view of the performance. In terms of facilities there is a nice bar and there are nice but few washrooms as with most London theatres expect a queue. We saw the performance of Young Marx and it was fantastic. Staff were helpful and friendly. It's an easy walk from London bridge station about 5 to 10 minutes.
D. L.
Lovely new theatre in London town. Went and watched their first production, Young Marx, and not only did I enjoy the play, but I thought what a well designed theatre. I was in the cheap seats, which they do say are up high, but you have a good view of the stage, no pillars in the way and you have room to dangle your legs, which is a novelty!
There are even cheaper seats, where I think your view might be obscured, but the £25 ones were fantastic.
Good location too - can go for pre-theatre dinner around London Bridge.
D. W.
Book Of Dust (La Belle Savage) was such an amazing experience more than a show. So dramatic, raw and magical xX WOW, wow, wow xX
c. o.
It was a great production that exceeded my expectations.
K. T.
Fantastic bustling theatre. We went to see Julius Ceaser and went for the immersive experience and we were not disappointed! I could imagine there isn't a single bad seat in the theatre due to the layout .
They are partnered with St Johns Bakery so you can order fresh madeleines for after the show which means you are greeted by freshly baked goods right after the show! They have a lot to offer on the bar aswell as hot drinks.
I didn't order any food but they did have a big menu with a good wine selection. I would be happy to come back just for a meal or coffee!
S. f. S.
Fantastic theatre with one person performances and socially distanced audience seating.. with preordered drinks service to your seat.
H. W.
Modern theatre very close to Tower Bridge. Set in the round so good views from everywhere in the auditorium and comfortable seats. The catering is by St John restaurant with a limited menu, the Welsh Rarebit looked very appetising.
K. D.
Lovely performance of the Book of dust.
S. W.
Love this place. Great theatre and has coped so well with the pandemic. Saw Bach and sons tonight; Simon Russell Beale was of course excellent
J. T.
Apart from the bossy front of house woman at the door, to whom I give the knocked off star, I love this theatre.
W. B.
Excellent theatre fab spot on the Thames and great view of Tower Bridge.
P. C.
I've seen many wonderful productions in the Bridge Theatre in the short time it's been open. A wonderful, flexible theatre. They're doing an excellent job during corona-19 restrictions, adapting well to the government's twists and turns. They're one of a small number of theatres with the vision and gumption to keep going.
A. H.
As at September the Bridge Theatre has reopened its doors post-lockdown and is staging a series of one-person shows (thereby keeping the cast safe). A large amount of seating has been removed from the auditorium, masks must be worn throughout, visitor’s temperature is taken on arrival and there’s an elaborate one-way system in place. These steps all keep visitors safe. Despite the big reduction in the audience size ticket prices are still currently reasonable.
n. m.
An excellent new addition. This London theatres is on the Southbank by tower bridge and GLA. Modern facilities and when we went interesting craft beer as well as food and wine from St John Street. In the same block are restaurant options also transferred from the west end.
Fantastic views of the Thames from the foyer.
J. H.
Back to full seating at The Bridge Theatre. Still plenty of legroom, though.
A. F.
A brilliant performance by the team for "white noise" comfy seats and very helpful staff, was a relaxing experience. Well done to all.
L. R.
Great little theatre, currently running 1-person shows with excellent social distancing
W. J.
Came here for quick coffee and use toilet. Lovely place nice cheap coffee and very friendly if I had more time I would have seen a show
J. R.
So good to see live theatre again. Mask protocol in place, and an amazing show.
J. M.
We really enjoyed visiting this theatre. I really liked the layout and we stayed behind to have some food afterwards which was delicious.
M. G.
An absolute joy to be able to see a live performance. The theatre was properly managed, your tickets scanned before you enter temperature taken as you enter, a one way system to walk around the theatre, seats socially distant, an all round great outing, flock to the bridge while you can !! The actors were superb
I.
Just watched White Noise at the Bridge theatre. Hard hitting, thought provoking. Great play
J. J.
Very comfortable new theatre even in cheaper seats. Configuration will change according to production.
a. 2.
Love this theatre - they put on really inspiring, imaginative and engaging shows. A cut above the usual mass market west end fare. It's small enough to keep everyone close to the action and large enough to really transport you to different worlds for a few hours. The acting, costumes, music, sets - all top class. Nice bar, staff and nibbles too!
D. I.
The most modern theater in London, trying hard to beat Covid restrictions by excellent rules and compliance. Enjoy opportunity to get drinks at your seat and helpful staff. After theatre, Ivy and less posh places are around the corner.
J. B.
Fabulous performances by all. Stunning snd beautifully written and researched script. We sp loved it as especially in music industry. It was sensational.
R. P.
Glad to have "found" this little theatre. Saw some streamed performances during lockdown and now excellent live performance of "Bach & Sons" in very comfortable, Covid-safe circumstances.
D. W.
We went to see the lion the witch and the wardrobe on Friday 3rd of Jan this is the first time we have been to the bridge theatre its lovely very nicely decorated everything was very well signed the Lois are great and the seats were good to a little limited in the leg department but we were on the side and the view of the stage made up for it
The performance its self was amazing so well done my 7 year old loved it. We stayed at the premier Inn Tower Hill it was about a 15 min walk and was well signposted we loved it and can't wait to come back and see another show
K. G.
Saw Lion, the witch and the wardrobe last night, absolutely fantastic and well thought out show❤️
t. y.
A wonderful evening in the theatre. Kirsten Scott thomas gave a fabulous performance in Alan Bennett 's The Hand of God. The double bill was ideal for staging in this difficult time. The theatre copes with covid restrictions brilliantly. It felt fantastic to be back in the theatre!
O. M.
One of my favourite theatres in London. Modern but with a similar feel of the Royal Shakespeare Theatre in Stratford Upon Avon.
Every show here is masterfully directed and performed. I saw The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe here in November 2019 and was absolutely blown away by how the stage was transformed from war time London to a snow covered Narnia. Every scene was fantastic.
If you haven't been here I urge you to find any play on and book a ticket.
노.
I loved this place. especially interior design is really impressive.
A. M.
We has seats up on the sides, without great views, but it was great anyway.
Saw A Very Very Very Dark Matter. Very dark, but very funny. Whole cast was great, not just the leads and the big names.
It's such a nice theatre though. First time we've been and a nice venue.
Stayed a bit afterwards to chat with friends have post show tea and cakes. Wonderful evening.
M. H.
A lovely venue. Great to be back in theatre despite the restrictions...
D. J.
A beautiful new theatre that was very cleverly designed.
You can clearly see the stage from the last row on the top balcony, the sound is great even the seats are comfortable with no one in your view.
Going to see a play here was a great experience and I can't wait to come back.
J. D.
The theatre is a great new set up - beautiful location, nice auditorium space, flexible to different types of stage. Very modern, nice toilets (lots of toilets so no queues at the interval) and a large open bar area. The food at the bar is very expensive (e.g. 3 pieces of cheese and 2 small pieces of bread for £10) and really not worth it which is annoying as that part of the river is full of lovely sit-down restaurants but not many nice 'lite bite' places. They serve Madeleine at the interval which is quirky. The seats were comfortable, leg room in abundance, which is rare for London theatre. No restrictions on the view. The play was funny, there wasn't a lot to it (no deep meaningful themes) but the actors are well known which draws in the crowds.
The theatre is new so there is not much atmosphere currently when you're waiting in the bar area for the play to start (unlike the National which is buzzing at all hours). Give it some time (and a better food situation) and this theatre will become a really fun venue for Londoners.
J. E.
A modern facility with good viewpoints from seemingly everywhere.
I was sat in one of the odd end-of-row seats that fold down into the aisle. Although there is a warning when booking I preferred this seat, it is only every other row so you get extra leg room which was ideal for me. If your hands were full with drinks then yes you would encounter some problems but I'd happily book it again.
B. P.
Well organised Temperature checked on way in Safe seating so was able to enjoy performance without undue worry
T. G.
We were there to see Imelda Staunton in Allan Bennett's Talking Heads. The set up of the theatre was amazing. It was so good to back viewing live theatre.
H. W. (.
Great new theatre near the scoop and tower bridge. I went on opening night when it still smelled of fresh paint and new leather... The thing about a new theatre as opposed to most of the old ones in the west end is that it feels much more practical: decent leg room; large toilets etc. The bar is very large and serves a good array of drinks and snacks including their signature Madeleines
M. S.
I, so far, have been to every production put on at the Bridge Theatre. It is always a great experience with reasonably priced ticket, great food and brilliant productions.
One point of particular note is the programmes which a well priced and not stuffed full of ads, but rather great content which adds to the value of the production. I can't wait to come again!
J. R.
Saw the Lion Witch and the Wardrobe, what a lovely theatre, spacious, lovely decor, friendly staff who were really helpful, show was amazing and the actors were so professional and enthusiastic, highly recommended this show, we were a few rows back in the stalls and we noticed the front 2 rows were so low to the stage that it would obscure your view and give you neck ache. Will definitely be returning to this wonderful theartre 👌👍
R. A.
Fantastic space, lighting in here is amazing. Make sure you ask for madelines for the interval, these are incredible. Good value for drinks and fast service. The theatre space is medium sized, all seats give you a pretty good view of the stage
L. A.
I have been to every single offering of the season here since the Theatre opened in 2018. I absolutely love this theatre. it is not just the location, stupendous, with spectacular view to the Tower Bridge, the London Tower and the Gherkin cityscape before the show or in the interval, it is the whole package. The plays I have seen staged here, every single one was configured differently, from revolving stage in Young Marx, to coliseum style in the very next play, to more traditional stage in Jim Broadbent's play, or the play with Laura Linney. Their staging of Julius Caesar with Ben Withshaw et al blew my mind, so I became a member and go to everything they advertise. Prices are reasonable compared to elsewhere in London, and honestly, there is no such thing here as a bad seat even in cheaper categories just because the way the theatre is designed. I even picked this venue out of 80 others where Sir Ian McKellen was doing his evening charity event. Why may you ask? Because their website purchases are dead easy, their staff are fantastic, the venue is tremendous. Possibly THE only theatre in London or anywhere on the planet that has enough women's toilets. Cloakroom is efficient, the bar is excellent, drink and food offerings fab. The interiors are funki and modern, it is a joy to attend. The only criticism I have is on the last occasion the whole bag check was a debacle, with only one revolving door open, it created unnecessarily frustrating congestion out in the cold, and the after the show exit was one big traffic jam, a bit of a health and safety concern to be frank. But this is small stuff in comparison to this terrific theatre in terrific location, attracting top talent, like getting Dame Maggie Smith to come back to the theatre land after 12 years away, in April this year, and the like.
B. P.
Fabulous theatre. Felt very safe and lovely touches such as preordering drinks and food that are delivered to your seat. Brilliant production too
S. Z.
Very new and fancy theatre. Saw the hilariously macabre A Very Very Very Dark Matter here, and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
L. L.
The National Theatre en Thames. Good food, Sir Nick Hytner and top British talent in a beautiful setting. Nice staff but pity about the Ricky Gervais characters manning the security at the door.
(pointing at the dried fruit at the bottom of my rucksack) "You're not taking that inside the theatre to eat, right?"
Me (baffled): No, I wasn't planning to.
Security: Well, you're not supposed to eat inside the theatre.
Me: Of course. I won't be.
Security: You can't take that inside. You can't eat inside the theatre.
Me (yes, we've already established that): No, I am going to check the freaking bag!
Security: No need to get rude. I'm not being rude.
Well, I wasn't being rude. Just alarmed at being told off for doing something I wasn't planning on doing.
And while I am all in favour of safety and security, I don't need a nanny telling me off before I've even stepped foot inside!
J. L. (. T.
The theatre is well designed with the rake just right for the stalls. The foyer looks inviting and was busy when we arrived on Saturday night. The play "A Very Very Very Dark Matter" sadly didn't live up to it's staging, with a very underused Jim Broadbent and a ludicrous plot.
J. F. V.
One of the best new theatres in town!
Decor is top notch, its got a great design & a very cosy feeling.
Their plays have always been superb & you can't get a better view even if you just come for a cup of coffee & a slice of cake.
The only negative thing in terms of their café area, they REALLY should cover their cakes, croissants, brownies, cinnamon rolls, etc because they are on display and the staff or people visiting are coughing or sneezing or counting money over it and it's really disgusting to have to choose something that doesn't really look hygienic & fresh.
C. W.
Brand new modern theatre, well designed layout, seats are offset and have high gaps between tiers to offer good sightlines. Acoustics are reasonable, may need some amplification the further stage your seats are.
Ample space and large bar in the waiting area contrasts with the usual scrum that occurs in the older theatres.
S. A.
Ralph Fiennes performance was impeccable. David Hare's wit too. Very tight Anti-Covid measures. Could be maybe a bit more flexible, but overall it was an excellent experience.
H. K.
This is a great new theatre. Good sightlines from the galleries and great acoustics. There's a bar and cafe here but expect long queues. There's also a cloakroom so you don't have to sit with your coat at your feet. I would have given the theatre 5 stars, but it was a bit cold in there when I visited last week (November). That's mainly due to the location as it's right by the river. The cold seemed to seep through into the foyer and bar area making it a little uncomfortable. I expect they will adapt the heating as they learn about how the building behaves in the colder months.
C. R.
Great design with only the fly loft missing but these days that's not really a bad thing because the space is now even more flexible without a proscenium and creative directors and designers can be challenged even further. I saw Nightfall and it will presented in full thrust which presented some sightline issues where I was sitting and they should have anticipated that but I'm sure they will know next time.
The foyer as a large restaurant concept works well because the food and drink are reasonable and good. There is a bit of crowding when crush of punters need to get past the tables but that can also be fixed. For me, the best aspects of that area are the large numbers of sound deadening cloth panels across the ceiling and the welcome provision of fresh water fountains with complimentary cups - now they just need to ditch the single use plastic and we're well into the 21st Century!
R. J.
Have seen maybe 7 or 8 productions here - consistently brilliant
d. j.
Excellent theatre
L. S.
Saw midsummers night dream here a couple days ago. I booked a seat on the gallery #2. Prices were about 50£ but in my opinion well worth it. I did get a little bit of FOMO of some of the customers in the Pit getting to hang out with the Cast after the play. The play itself was fantastic I was laughing constantly.
C. W.
Ben Wishhaw and David Morrissey in this Julius Caesar production was by far the best I have seen so far, congratulations. We regularly visit this theatre and enjoy not only the venue but also the walk along the thames which all adds to the occasion before and after.
A. R.
Great quirky theatre love the lobby but the best kept secret is go while the show is on and have a bottle of wine and snacks in the lobby. You can sit there and watch the world go by with a great view of Tower Bridge.
S.
Just had a fantastic evening at The Bridge Theatre.Stylish, organised and above all cool on the hottest day of the year.
T. S.
They put all measures in place to ensure people felt confident and safe...then you could just forget for a spell and enjoy the theatre...Talking Heads first two shows fab...thanks everyone..I know its been hard work x
V. L.
I came here for Julisu Caesar earlier in the year. This was a promenade performance so a little out of the ordinary but I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. A star turn from David Morrissey was the icing on the cake. A super venue and great to see such a fantastic cultural gem in London Bridge.
The only downside was the lack of space for coats, the lack of seating and the crush to get in and out.
P. S.
Social distancing excellent, masks compulsory. Felt very safe. Talking Heads shows brilliant - The Outside Dog & The Hand of God.
P. K.
This is a beautiful new theatre, light airy but still feels like an intimate venue. Loads of ladies loos, little queueing at the bar - and a great production (the young Marx). What's not to love?
A. C.
A wonderful new theatre which is well designed and comfortable. Lovely riverside setting. I thoroughly recommend it - especially to see Alan Bennett's new gem of a play - Allelujah.
I. B.
Pretty cute and designish new theatre with great stage and accoustic, but small foyeur for this amount of people, poorly organized cloakroom and small and narrow chairs probably stolen from utube wagon. But the show was great!
J. J.
The Bridge Theatre is a commercial theatre near Tower Bridge in London that opened in October 2017. It was developed by Nick Starr and Nicholas Hytner as the home of the London Theatre Company, which they founded following their tenancy as executive director and artistic director, respectively, at the National Theatre.
S. C.
White Noise was brilliant - thought provoking, uncomfortable and edgy
D. L. R.
All seats give you an OK view of the stage
s. f.
Went to see Julius Caesar. What a performance and show. The theatre itself is a brilliant building, the lighting is especially elegant. The service at the bar is fast which is always a winner when you’re thirsty,
S. G.
Great location, very friendly and efficient service, delicious madeleines at the interval, buy boy the seats are so uncomfortable and the room felt crammed just like in old theatres. You’d expect such basics would be taken care of at the newly designed venue...
G. H.
Space between the seats, largely face covered and, best of all, first class acting!
D. A.
What spoiled it for me was a drink being dropped from three storeys up onto us saps in the stalls. Drinks should not be allowed on the upper levels - it is unsafe.
Other than that it is a fine theatre.
J. A.
Brilliant performance of Bach & Sons in intimate theatre. Loved everything I have seen here
L. S.

The theatre is quite small, so every seat is a very good seat. It's modern, well organised, the toilets are clean and in a good location.
S. K.
Loved the show! Great cast and adaptation.

Young Marx more than well worth a trip to this exciting new venue in possibly London's best location! ps signage from Tower Hill u/grd will help - it's really a v short stroll with the best views in the world and a great welcome when you arrive. Fifty years after Bernard Miles opened the Mermaid, a jewel of a new theatre for the City.
M. O.
Saw Bach and Sons here. What a wonderful gem of a theatre in Tower Bridge!
S. G.
A great play in a beautiful new theatre. Even though we were sat at the back, as all of the seating is tiered we did not feel far from the stage.
B. K. G.
I went there to see Dame Maggie Smith perform in "A German Life". The view from Galerie 2 was great. I really enjoyed the performance and Dame Maggie was a legend on stage!

What an amazing opening premier of "Straight Line Crazy" at the Bridge Theater, London! Ralph Fiennes and the entire cast's performance was spectacular! Will definitely come back to this theater time and time again.
D. J. M. L.
Modern theatre great views and fantastic acoustics! We saw straight line crazy, a fenomenal play with excellent actors, performance was excellent
j. a.
Went to watch Straight Line Crazy with Ralph Fiennes and I absolutely love being back at a theatre again!
J. H.
It is a lovely theatre with excellent views of the stage from all parts of the auditorium. Let down by poor accessibility - only two entrances to the main seating area and difficulty to access the rows nearest the stage without standing on the stage and thereby receiving a stern rebuke from the staff.
