Reviews of Butler's Wharf Pier.

Butler's Wharf is an English historic building. Originally a dockyard and warehouse, it now redeveloped into cafes, restaurants and residential buildings. The development almost mirrors that of St. Katherine Docks on the opposite bank, which in my humble opinion has better restaurants and cafes. Attested by the fewer bars and restaurants, plus the occasional closed shop too. The best part of eating at Butler Wharf is the view of Tower Bridge, especially on a nice sunny day.

Wonderful place among the old warehouses which have now become homes and shops. The atmosphere of these buildings seems to project you back in time. Very quiet compared to the area not far away and in front of the City Hall, you can find bars and restaurants for every need.

A point almost at the exit of the Tower of London. Very good view, you can see many places and in a very good point of the city. You can see the beautiful tower bridge and an excellent point to take a photo with the bridge behind. The only negative thing that I could highlight about this place is when there are a lot of people, you cannot freely take a photo with the bridge or the city behind since there may be someone next to you and without being rude you have to ask for permission. Anyway, we are all in the same situation.

Unlike the crowded other side of tower bridge, this side was quieter, and has some really cool Street structure. Parts of am old anchor, chains and propeller fan are kept around. Perfect a good relatively quiet evening along the Thames. Good food options are available too

It's so delicious. A cold beer and a meal with a beautiful view of Tower Bridge. This is a restaurant with a chef who knows how to cook. A smart place that doesn't look down on tourists. There are no downsides. Is it just that it's so delicious that if you don't control your taste, you'll get very full? :) It's really delicious when you warm up the bread and eat it with butter. A place I want to visit again! Fish and chips are good :)

On July 20th, 2018 we were in the London district of St Katharine's & Wapping where this mega yacht was moored on the opposite side in front of Buttler's Wharf. The Mirror devoted an entire page in its paper to the event. Here is the German translation: Billionaire Spurs owner brings 'Bond Villains' superyacht to London as a 321ft boat on the River Thames. Billionaire Joe Lewis took his superyacht to London in the Bond villain role and left viewers open-mouthed on the Thames. The owner of Tottenham Hotspur commissioned the stunning 321ft superyacht, which took three years to build in Germany. While the superyacht named Aviva is usually seen in the tropical waters of the Caribbean, the stunning vessel was spotted at Butlers Wharf near Tower Bridge on Sunday morning." Londoners watched as the lucky passengers boarded a smaller, suitable speedboat to go ashore. In May the ship was moored off Fallmouth in Cornwall. The mammoth ship was secret when it was built, and so little is known about the luxurious interior. It is known to have a large tennis court and can accommodate 16 guests. Mr Lewis may own the legendary London football club, but rarely visits the English capital. The billionaire prefers to spend his time in the Bahamas, where he lives next to former James Bond actor Sean Connery. It is believed Mr Lewis grew up in the flat above the Roman Arms pub in East London. He left school at 15 to work as a waiter in his family's cafe, pocketing just £6 a week. He then opened shops in the West End under the name Tavistock Banqueting and opened themed restaurants to cater to visiting tourists. Lewis then developed the Beefeater, the Cockney, the Caledonian and the Hanover Grand. The Nolans had their first live show at the Hannover Grand. In 1979 he sold the business for £30 million and went to the Bahamas as a tax exile. He then went into foreign exchange trading and became a billionaire in 1992.

We went on a short boat ride from here for our boat party dinner cruise. The decent on the ramp was steep and difficult with a wheelchair amd parking was hard but I found one eventually. Beautiful location for viewed of the bridge

Beside the river Thames. Some nice restaurants and bars all aimed at the tourist. As a Londoner this stretch of the river is a busy thoroughfare during the summer season, connecting to Tower Bridge and the Shad thames buildings. Some bars shut down unusually early compared to the West End.

Butler's Wharf is an English historic building at Shad Thames on the south bank of the River Thames, just east of London's Tower Bridge, now housing luxury flats and restaurants. Lying between the picturesque street Shad Thames and the Thames Path, it overlooks both the bridge and St Katharine Docks on the other side of the river. Butler's Wharf is also used as a term for the surrounding area.
