Reviews of Camden People's Theatre
M. A.
Awesome local theatre. Aww Mattie May there a couple of weeks ago. Would definitely go again to see other local shows. ✌🏽

Staff are all extremely friendly and helpful. Newly renovated bar area is spacious and comfy. Performance space is comfy and intimate, too. And they always have a great programme on offer. Brilliant small indie theatre - London needs places like this.
M. L.
Love this theatre space! I have performed here and have watched many friends perform here and we have had a wonderful experience every single time :D
S. F.
Spectacular independent performance space

Great theatre, went to see a friend in a scratch night which was diverse and entertaining. The staff were super engaged with supporting the artists as well as helping the audience. The theatre had prepared feedback forms for the audience to fill about the pieces, and collate that information for the artists to develop their shows. The staff feedback too, it's a really supportive environment for artists. Also a great night out for me!

Wonderful small theatre, the staff are always so friendly, and the theatre strives to programme art by emerging artists. A very progressive place, even with gender neutral toilets which I love. Everyone feels welcome here and there's always something you're bound to enjoy.
K. C.
Good theatre space and nice wee bar. Always a fun show there!
C. B.
Average fringe venue. Cool and cozy foyer. Drinks are different, perhaps a little overpriced, but no different to any other theatre's prices.
Could do with a lick of paint inside the auditorium. Wish I'd brought a cushion with me, seats aren't the kindest. Staff are personable and friendly but could be a little more proactive - customer service wise.
A. E.
Amazing theatre showing some of the best new work in London. Great cosy bar where you can have a drink before or after the show. Look out for their festivals which tend to be themed around pertinent issues and topics of the moment.

Awesome little theatre. Specialises is 'edgy' theatre if you're into that kinda thing. Definitely has a young alternative vibe. The other big plus is that it's situated next to a street full of tasty Indian cuisine. So you can eat some Indian, grab a beer at the venue then go watch some cheap theatre too. A great night. A full price ticket is £12.

Short walk from Euston & Warren Street stations, loads of reasonably-priced places to eat & welcoming staff. Great selection of eclectic performances & great value for money. Drinks prices are reasonable too & able to get Green Tea, as well as a range of alcoholic/non aloholic drinks. Go see Mantra for an interactive, mind blowing spiritually-enhanced experience 👍👌💚

As good as a fringe theatre can be. Sitting is not comfortable, the bar is not very well stocked - but the repertoire is making the place. The staff is friendly, location is good.

I am a member of a small amateur theatre company. We put on a play last night here as part of Camden Fringe. The staff at Camden Peoples Theatre were very helpful from booking the space right through to performance night. We would recommend them.

You can't beat CPT for a theatre with a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. It programmes a wide variety of work which is always interesting or challenging and prices are very good. Highly recommend checking out what's on if you've got an evening to spare.
T. J.
Such a central location- what a treasure amidst the chaos! Small scale production in an intimate setting.
L. H.
Really cute little local theatre, nice little bar area to have a drink in advance. Very funny show - highly recommend.
D. S.
The location itself is not the best, it can feel crammed, disorganised and noisy during performances (I don't think it is soundproof). BUT, the productions are always exciting, diverse and thought provoking! Also, try making a donation when you visit, to keep the London indie theatre scene alive!!!!!!!

Came to watch a sidesplitting sketch show called Stupid Zoo and had the best night. Great venue with talented acts and a nice bar. Staff were very friendly and accommodating.
B. M.
Pioneering theatre venue full of character. Supporting local theatre makers and maintaining a diverse programme. Helpful, friendly staff made us feel welcome and comfortable.
C. G.
Lovely little theatre. Went to see The Muppets Christmas Carol sing-a-long, which was really fun. Has a little area for sitting and having a drink beforehand as well.
S. W.
A mainstay of London fringe theatre, supporting new writing and innovative small companies. The programmes are always interesting and worthwhile, and it's been a pleasure to come here many times.
P. S.
A very long-running independent theatre in London, the 'CPT' has been putting on controversial and groundbreaking plays for decades. It's a bit shabby and threadbare these days but don't let that put you off - step into the auditorium and you could be in for a surprise. Earlier this year the one-woman show 'I Feel Like Magda Goebels' certainly got tongues wagging...
It's also conveniently close to Warren St tube for those who feel uncomfortable venturing too far outside the West End...

A great community theatre space which shows the very latest in up and coming plays & performance art. Really friendly & helpful staff.
K. B.
Great space. Do a lot of work for the community too. Some interesting performances booked in. Well worth following. Cute bar too.

(Translated) Small theater that works as a bar and coffee at the same time. A small but well-equipped room, where you can enter with drinks while watching the work. Tickets are not expensive, it depends on the work, but they do not exceed £ 15. Comfortable and cozy.

(Translated) The piece was great, but my seat was very uncomfortable, which compromised the whole context. I spent the whole piece squeezing between two masters who occupied part of my seat, the Chairs very close and glued together, being narrow, favor this. They should separate the chairs a little.
(Original)

(Translated) A small-scale theater. Because the audience is very close to the stage, it may be suitable for epic plays for elite audiences. Short seats sit on the seats do not touch the ground; it is not a comfort in long games.
