Reviews of Catford Mews

No idea why I haven't been here before. Cosy and clean seats, tonnes of leg room, giant servings of popcorn and you're allowed to take glasses from the bar into the showing. Was practically empty for a £7.50 Monday viewing. Definitely coming back.

Amazing community cinema with a good choice of films. Lovely cafe/street food court too - particularly good are the toasties and almond croissants from Compound Coffee - and there's a bar at the end by the cinema screens itself, with local beers and nice cocktails. One of the most family friendly cafe/bars I've been to - lots of space for pushchairs and baby changing facilities in men's and women's toilets, as well as bring your baby screenings. This is such a gem!

It’s so great that Lewisham finally has a cinema, and catford mews is a community gem. There’s great food and drinks, comfy seats and large screens at reasonable prices, with a local community vibe. I have the cinema membership and it’s definitely been worth it, I go all the time and always have a great experience. The staff are always welcoming, and the twerky jerky food stall is SO GOOD. Also, they let you eat your food in the cinema so what’s not to like? It’s basically like a cheaper, less pretentious version of the Everyman cinemas. We should all be supporting the local businesses in the mews as it’s clearly becoming a cultural hub for Catford. It’s always nice to come out of the cinema and find the mews is full of local people doing a quiz or music session as well. Overall great vibes.

Really liked the community driven purpose of this spot and would return if I lived locally.

When I have to take the long way round, and I've got nothing left to lose, or use, or do; I'm looking for a way out, now I can escape. My wide eyes can stare into space or a different world, or a great story. Every time the sun goes down, you know I can't say no; to a good film.
Of course, my bad habits lead to conversations with a stranger I barely know. I get hushed by others, and I know I lose control of the things that I say. The talking usually starts under neon lights, but then it all goes dark, and I don't notice to stop. I swearing it would be the last at the time, but it probably won't.
I do apologise for my disturbance, but the film tonight had something wonderful. It's true. It's true.
Also, Ed Sheeran is great!

Lovely independent cinema with pop up food vendors and a bar. Great spacious place to meet friends for a drink, and the cinema is fab, showing a brilliant variety of the big titles but also smaller independent films.

I love this place. It is so relaxing and the staff are so helpful and friendly. Lovely coffee, cake, food stalls. Sometimes I go and sit with a coffee and stare into space when I'm stressed from work. Best thing to come to catford in years.
