Throughout my treatment and surgery for a total hip replacement I found the specialists, physios, nurses, health care team and catering staff absolutely superb. They all helped to put my mind at complete rest and were extremely caring, kind and professional. Nothing was too much trouble for the team and throughout my stay I felt safe and well informed. The accommodation and food along with the overall experience was excellent. Thank you to you all.

Really positive vibes after being a patient there. Staff are friendly and make you feel relaxed. Hospital visits are not my favourite pastime,. but this time was pleasant. I Recommend them for you as I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

Entering The Circle Hospital is always a pleasurable experience . The Reception staff are always
very friendly and guide to place you need to be
All the areas are extremely clean and tidy ,you feel like you are in a hotel not a hospital.
All the staff are very professional kind & caring.I was under the care of Dr Brownlow he is one amazing surgeon. You feel very confident that you are in good hands.

I was a day case for knee arthroscopy. I cannot fault the hospital. Everything was very efficient from the first meeting of my consultant, the swift appointment for an MRI and follow-up consultation, with clear explanation of required surgery, to admittance on the day (slight delay for operation, but due to my own choice).
All the staff I met at the circle were polite, courteous, respectful and genuinely nice people, who actually wanted to help - please do remember they are affected by the pandemic, just as we all are. The hospital itself is clean, quiet and well organised. I really loved my ‘pod’, I felt I was never ‘rushed’, everything was explained. I actually felt after a year+ of pain and medics not listening to me, someone actually listened and understood. I am now working through my physio – again lovely people and well equipped department. I cannot recommend enough – if like me you have always used NHS and feel you have always had a good service, so why would you ‘self-fund’? well this time for me (probably covid, or my advancing years) no one was listening, my advice just try the Circle, you will not be disappointed and when my other knee goes ….. I know where I will be coming!

My experience of physiotherapy at Circle Health Group following hip replacement surgery was very positive. The facility is modern and spacious, my appointments always started on time and the staff were professional. Simon Roberts, physiotherapist, was attentive to my questions and provided very practical suggestions.

The service has been excellent. Nothing is too much trouble. Will use the hospital again if needed.
However there was a problem looming in that when it came to preparing for my operation the anaesthetist asked if I had eaten anything prior to coming to the hospital. I informed him that I had been advised by the customer liaison officer that because I was having sedation I could eat something as long as it was a light breakfast. He said this was not the case and therefore my operation was delayed which was highly annoying.

Orthopaedic surgery was due to take place in the afternoon of 12/01/‘22. All was suspended at the last minute due to a cardiac problem of which I was unaware. Although I was devastated at the time, I am extremely grateful for the action taken by both the surgeon and anaesthetist. The problem was explained to me and action recommended. After further investigation the problem is being treated and a new date set for surgery.
All staff who dealt with me in both departments were friendly and reassuring. In addition, I found the administrative staff friendly and efficient, particularly the specialist’s PA.
I have no reservations in making a return visit.

I had two nights in the Circle, whilst having a hip replacement operation. The treatment and care that I received was first class. It was friendly, professional, empathetic and efficient.
For me, the only area for any possible improvement is in the pre-visit communication, which was a bit scarce at times.

My surgeon, Mr Swanton, was brilliant - I felt involved in decisions every step of the way and he did his very best to do difficult surgery by the least invasive means possible and took the time to come and see me afterwards. My care before and after surgery was generally good, the room was nice and the food was fantastic (restaurant standard).
Unfortunately though, I did not have a good experience with the anaesthetist. It took five attempts for her to get a line into my vein for the drip, including an unsuccessful attempt on the large vein on the underside of my wrist which was very painful. I was left with 5 cm bruises all over my hands and wrists from her failed attempts that took a fortnight to fade and the one on my wrist ached for days afterwards. I was surprised because you would expect an anaesthetist to be expert at getting a needle into a vein. By the time it came to my epidural I had quite frankly lost confidence in her ability to accurately insert a needle into my spine and felt pretty distressed. She appeared quite flustered, complained that it was hard to find a vein because I had cold hands and shouted at the nurse for some minor transgression. I found those five or ten minutes the most stressful and unpleasant of my whole operation and recovery. Would it not have been kinder to warm my hands and wrists first if that was the problem?
The only other issue was that my discharge was chaotic to say the least, but this was most likely because of the IT issues the hospital was experiencing at the time. Overall I would recommend Circle. I hope for the sake of other patients that the anaesthetist was just having an off day.

Fantastic hospital, good communication. Can’t thank Tom pollard and his team enough. Had a full right side hip replacement at 41 years of age. Was fully off crutches after 3 weeks, back at work fitting carpets and flooring after 6 weeks 🙂
Just recently had a a knee arthroscopy, carried out by Tom pollard, same incredible results.

I have had minor spinal surgery recently at The Ridgeway Hospital in Wroughton and the whole team were fantastic. From the minute I walked in, communication from the nurses and doctors was first class, nothing was too much trouble and I was made to feel at ease instantly, I can’t thank the staff there enough.

Looked after so well. Everyone from the cleaner to the consultants were very friendly.
Everything was explained to me so i knew what to expect. Nothing was to much trouble for the staff. I was monitored through the night after the op and cared for in the best possible way.

I attended the Hampshire Clinic in 5th March for a small procedure. I had a very good experience. Every member of staff were wonderful and courteous and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hospital.

Excellent service, professional treatment and friendly staff. However I do not believe a private patient should be told to be there at 7am and not get into theatre for a minor procedure until 1330 Surely a staggered check-in time is possible?

Very friendly, clean and efficient care.
Would highly recommend and particularly thought the new patient advocate was a fantastic idea.
