Reviews of Dalston Eastern Curve Garden
N. F.
Really lovely garden. They have accessible entry and toilets. The outdoor pizza oven is great. They host events all the time for families and kids. It is also a nice place to volunteer and meet other like minded young adults.
M. S.
Amazing secret place to come for a drink and chill out. Was highly recommended to me and I highly recommend it to others! Looks really secret, but it opens up to a huge outdoor area that is really cute at night. Heaters and sofas and little tables are dotted around and lovely plants and greenhouse. The staff are friendly and have a wide selection of teas and beers (including non dairy milk)! What a great place to come with anyone!
D. F.
Gorgeously magical hidden gem of a city garden.... Walked in and was blown away that this oasis was just off a busy high street! So lovely, what a lovely community garden... Seeing the birds flit around just above your head, with the string lights above, amongst the trees... Which would probably look amazing lit up at night.....right out of a Midsummer nights dream.
M. P.
Secret garden, coffee, beer, cake, fresh pizza, amazing atmosphere. What's not to love?
J. R.
Nice hidden gem in busy Dalston. Relaxing feel and not busy. Nice little coffee shop with good selection of hot and cold drinks and cakes.

I've walked past this place for years and decided to venture in for the first time and I was pleasantly surprised. It's an outdoor space with tables and chairs dotted all around, this seemed like a space where everyone is welcome. The space is especially nice if you have young children as there's plenty of space for them to move freely without the fear of bothering anyone and the layout means they will aslo remain in your vision. The pricing was very reasonable, but then again this is a social enterprise. I have given 4 stars because the space is entirely outdoors, (which has it's limits) and because we only came for drinks, couldn't really comment on the service or the food
C.
Came here with my colleague on our work break, £5 something for a pot of tea and a gingerbread man which was great 👍🏻 was quiet at the time which was nice as our work place is very loud :) friendly service. Comfortable atmosphere would come again for tea. They also had cakes which looked really tasty, may get one next time :)

1st Visit.
I found this delightfully hidden community garden after straying off the High Rd.
Not only is it a green oasis, situated on a disused rail line, a pleasant and quiet area and a well kept and tended gardens. They also have a bar that sells Guinness for less than a fiver.
If I lived in this area, I would frequent this tranquil zone regularly.
Well Done to Everyone who gets involved here.

A stunning hidden oasis in Dalston! A great place to meet friends for a drink and a catch up in beautiful surroundings. I’m very happy (and lucky) to have recently joined their volunteer gardening team - the staff and volunteers are so welcoming, and I know that I’m going to learn A LOT while having a great time working in the garden with them!
A. O.
A little oasis in the middle of Dalston Junction. Drinks menu and prices are really good. A lot of sitting area. I can't imagine this place in Summer and weekends. Staff are exceptional. My new favourite spot in Hackney
E. C.
This was my first visit with my family. I heard a lot of great stories about the place which was all true. The folk who run the place had time to speak to me which was a great thing. A very peaceful place. Well done one in all whom are responsible for behind the scenes.
J. B.
Impressive community gardens, and landscaping makes it easy to hang out in different parts of the garden, watching locals enjoying chatting, drinks, playing card games. Kids space was empty at the time, but it looked like they would have fun.
G. F.
My favourite London garden. I always make time to pop in when I'm visiting Hackney. A very good cafe here too and you cab enjoy your food and drinks sitting among the lush greenery of this inner city secret garden
W. B.
Most incredible brownies I’ve ever tasted served at a beautiful book launch celebration
C. G.
I.make the review for the Curve Garden. Very Beautiful. Come and enjoy guys. Yes it's cold but soon hot. OK see you there!

LOVE THIS PLACE! It's like a corner of paradise in the hustle and bustle of London. The team is fantastic and very helpful, their cakes are delicious, their coffee is great. And their outdoor mini-theatre is perfect for performances and groups gathering.
Thank you Marie, for all your help! 🤗
G. M.
Had such a lovely time here! So, so peaceful and such a great place for the community. Loved it!
K. J.
Fantastic spot hidden in Dalston. Local street art, gorgeous flowers, great little bar. Lovely hidden gem to get away from the hassle.and bustle.

Been past this place plenty of times but never popped in. Today I visited for the charity Mind 40th Birthday celebrations.

Plenty of tables, chairs and benches all well spaced out. Very relaxing. Refreshments too as well an area for children to play.
K. C.
A very fun green space in the heart of Hackney
P. W.
Lovely shaded outdoor space. Trees, food and drink and a great ambiance. Run by a social enterprise.
A. B.
A wonderful and inspiring community hub. I wish I lived in Hackney. In my dreams we might be able to set one up in Bermondsey.
E. C.
My favourite place in Dalston
My son learned to walk here and now he’s 7 😍😍😍😍
M. K.
This garden is a bright example how communities can positively influence on local areas. Thank you! Love is inside every plant, table and chair. Amazing place to go and stay for a little bit...
S. u.
Nice outside cafe, friendly staff.
Fun fact my profile picture is from that location before the curve garden was built :)
M. N.
Super cute community garden. They have covered outside areas, and serve coffee and pizza sometimes. Lots of distancing and one way system.
V. B.
Great urban garden in the heart of Dalston with a marvellous atmosphere for all- children's play space at the furthest end and a range of seating areas amongst the buddleia and other plants. A lovely selection of juices, wines, beers, aswell as tea and coffee at reasonable prices, plus the most delicious handmade pizzas l have ever tasted.
L.
Great staff and average prices on drinks served at the bar.
I loved that they had a pumpkin competition and there were pumpkins everywhere for Halloween!
Also enjoyed the fact that they have blankets if you’re feeling cold.
E. N.
This place is a refuge in the city. The garden is run by volunteers for the community. There is plenty of room to play, in the summer the are ride on toys available. There are tables and chairs all around for a nice quiet drink with friends. The stage hosts various events all year round. Undercover the are sofas with blankets available anytime you need. They even do got water bottles for a refundable deposit!
If you are in the area, it is worth a visit.

We discovered this little gem during an overnight stay in Dalston, and I’d come back to London just to visit again! A beautiful, green sanctuary in a bustling city - just what we needed. Plus, the shortbread heart cookies are delicious.
X. C.
Beautiful garden with nice pizza and drinks. Best when it's sunny
g. s.
This is the best place in London. Not comparable to anything. Love the people, and the garden. Sut for hours, drink copius amounts of tea
M. L.
Amazing garden with a bar, the drinks selection are not too large, but the place is full of colours and nature!!!
D. B.
Its a magic place..when you are in the garden evan you cant believe you are at london 😄 everyday open but specialy tuesday with live music "woodburner" present is a amazing 💜💙💛❤💚
M. V.
Very good place for a tea and coffee wits curiosity interiors and pleasure garden. Big pot of coffee just for £2 very tasty plus delicious cookies!
b.
a marvelous oasis away from the bustling street. tried their mulled cider, it was heart warming. already feeling christmassy…
M. F. L.
Beautiful little garden which just feels magical. If you're there for an event, grab a wood fired magherita pizza while the queues are still short (at 7 you can still get it within 10 minutes but wait any longer and you could be waiting for an hour). Try the elderflower cider and square root sodas. Bring a picnic mat and blanket in case the ones there run out.
J. M.
It's is a very nice place but I was expecting something bigger. Coffee is good but the choice is limited.
A. K.
Had a lovely evening exploring the pumpkin festival and I expect this garden would be fantastic in the day too.
The staff seemed friendly and all the food and drink smelled incredible. Overall it was just a lovely little slice of peace in London. Definitely a good place to take kids or to have a quiet cup of tea.
E.
Such a beautiful space. Have a drink and enjoy the plants! The staff are all very kind, and they have free hot water bottles and blankets when the weather gets colder.
P. N.
A very nice place to relax and spend time with friends. From outside you don't imagine that there is a big space inside. The food and drinks are not expensive and the athmosfere is really nice. Recommend it.
K. P.
One of my favorite places in London. A hidden gem you will be pleased to discover. Gardens, fairy lights, lanterns, French press coffee, beer and wine and nice non-alcohol options too! And a wood burning stove with a closed area for when it’s colder outside. Especially great for those warm summer evenings but also a cozy place to hang in winter by the fire!
K. V.
Nice place to hang out. Good cafe with lot of alcohol and non alcohol options.
M. M.
Hidden gem, what a great place to sit down and chill with a pint on a sunny day!
L. M.
Lovely place to spend time. It feels like you are much further from the busy streets than you are. I love the pumpkin display each Halloween
S. K.
We really loved this place. Although close to the center of London (just a few stations from the center) it is really quite and an oasis that you can enjoy. There is a cafe which offers plunger coffee and cakes. Go there if you want to spend time off the beaten track and experience a different London.
t.
Nice place where you can have a soft drink in relax.
Perfect to visit in summer.
M. S.
Just the place to unwind, drink tea or beer and have a pizza on the weekend.
This garden is just perfect to hang out, meet friends, to go on a date or take your kids to.
I love the staff who are always helpful, the united front for more green space in Hackney.
Hidden in the busy dalston, this garden provides peace and calm! Love love love
J. S.
Great little place to chill and meet friends. Warm atmosphere in this little green heaven in the middle of the city. They have a nice selection of beers. One of those place to grow your community as much as your vegetables. The decoration is handmade, lovely and done with taste. I haven't had the chance to try it but there seems to be a lot of effort done to organise local events. If you happen to be there in "winterish" time go for their mulled cider it's delicious!
P. M.
Really nice and cosy place. Felt like home. Too much quiet and nature all around. Best place to go with your friends, family and even just by yourself..when you want time for you
B. P.
This place is wonderful, I love it! I've visited for a live music event previously and it's just as lovely during the day. It's such a nice calming space in the city!
A. W.
Nice place, nice people, good for kids
T. B.
Magic and wonder in an oasis of calm and mystique, tucked round the corner in Dalston. The pizza is delicious as well. Great for a date as well as a group hang. Lots of little nooks and crannies to hideout in.
L. S.
Amazing place to relax, doesn't feel like it is right in the middle of Dalston!
B. O.
lovely garden, good atmosphere, reasonable tea or alcohol price. (fashy and blanket lent fee £3! so, bring yours!)
S. G.
Really lovely space. Informal and very relaxed atmosphere. The garden is perfectly planted with shade loving plants. The pizzas are gorgeous. Wish I lived nearer.
A. Z.
One of the most beautiful parks in London...we are so lucky. It was a wonderful experience strolling around the beautiful Dalston Eastern Curve Garden
V.
Surprisingly large garden right opposite the train station. Plenty of seating, and places to get a decent snack! Really has a ‘community-feel’ to it. Toilets are provided as well.
S. K.
Best curve in town, a peaceful, green retreat, filled with lovely plants and friendly staff. Perfect if you wanna escape the rat race that is London. Magical ✨
a. o.
Great spacious area, for family, friends, buisness, open area, clean, very nature orientated.
Feel at ease, have a drink or picnic, buy or bring yoir own. Food and drink are great, enjoy however you feel.
F. S.
Amazing place, amazing staff who gave me hot water bottles to keep warm while we did a community volunteer session. Truly is a great atmosphere which focusses on the community. The drinks and food are also very reasonable would definitely recommend. I am happy to help support this project.
G. V.
Really amazing venue for live music!
G. L.
This flower oasis is a must visit place!
You can easily forget the traffic, being busy and overwhelmed when you go there. Absolutely love it!
Kids friendly zone.
G. F.
Lovely spot, beautiful garden although stops catching the sunshine past 4.30. Tasty elderflower cider, reasonably priced
We were able to bring our own food which was great 🤩
N. J.
A delightful non profit of oasis located in Dalston. The curve garden is a lovely walk though garden cafe with Tulips and many other flowers ....great organic beers and stone oven made fresh pizzas...try it - you'll love it.
M. W.
NATURE in the CITY ,Amazing location the best place for a tea or a beer, great vibes with loads of space and genuinely welcoming, it has taken me too long to find this place, we will be back.
L. a. B.
Very pretty and unique garden. Loved the atmosphere and the setup. The staff are really friendly. Ice creams are nice and the coffee is strong!
M. W.
A great place to chill out with your friends on a Sunday afternoon. Good prices for drinks and you could grab a freshly made pizza for a fiver if you get hungry.
j. g.
One of my favourite places in London. Great vibe. Really good idea too which would be good to see replicated elsewhere - a community garden in the middle of the city, tucked away behind the surrounding buildings. It has cafe and a bar as well as a stage for putting on performances in the evenings. There is also a pizza oven manned by another local business.
M. R.
One of my fave spots in London, great open space and well lit garden space
S. M.
Amazing little community park to relax and have peace of mind. There is a public restroom and a little café to have some refreshments. There is a small stage for live events and it is best when the place is lit up with lights. Easy reach from Hackney. 10 min by bus to Dalston Station. Very accessible it is just opposite the station.
M. P.
Very cool garden cafe bar with a heated conservatory area, a beautiful peaceful space between the buildings of Dalston. Nice cakes & hot choc.
S. W.
Such a cute place to go and hangout in on a sunny day. We had a few beers & some ice blocks. Highly recommend!
C. W.
A really cute garden cafe that's great for a chilled out afternoon.
A. R.
My favourite place in Dalston.
A chilled outdoor space that turns sparkly and magical at night with the added luxury of blankets and drinks!
D. P.
Lovely inner city sanctuary. Will be back for sure. Peaceful gardens and heaps of toys and space for kids to play.
S. N.
Beautiful garden, lovely christmas decorations and great hot wine!
D. P.
Gorgeous venue, great food and drink, with live music too!
J. R.
Great atmosphere, a must if you're in the area
N. H.
Gorgeous place, lovely (and attractive) staff. Pizza was great, toilets were surprisingly pleasant. Would visit again.
Y. C.
10 stars ! Love this hidden garden.
Blueberry cheese cake is the best 😋
G. M.
Very cozy place! Good mulled wine!
D. S.
Currently open for coffee this a little oasis in the city. This is a beer garden without a pub attached! Will be serving beer again on 12th April, can't wait.
A. D.
Amazing place to come and chill alone or with a group of friends! The selection of drinks is not the best in town (think basic beer & hot drinks), but the garden itself makes up for everything! You can also bring your own food ;)
T. i.
Beautiful oasis hidden in the depth of Hackney.
I must admit I pass this place all the time but had never been inside.
During a training lunch was provided at the curve garden, it was a pleasant surprise, the rustic mishmash of furniture, the abundance of plants and flowers, it was just beautiful!
I had the vegetable soup with chunky veg and haricot beans, served with crusty flavour rich homemade bread was so warming and filling, yum!
The staff were pleasant, welcoming and really know their products. They served homemade lemonade, locally produced cola and beers.
Check it out, it’s truly a unique place!
H. G.
Amazing place, amazing atmosphere, beautiful hidden garden like a secret Sanctuary of nature in the middle of the city.
Great place for gathering with friends and have some drinks, socialize or chat while enjoying or just relax with your kids while they play. In my experience this local is a must for a stop and relax no matter what ! I always have a great time here and every time i come here, i always leave with very good vibrations and most of all, wanting to come back again.
K. F.
Love coming here on Tuesdays for live music. There’s a magical feeling to this place, and each visit is a new experience. It’s a good idea to come a bit earlier if you want to snag a comfortable spot close to the stage but the music can be enjoyed from anywhere in the garden. Truly a lovely, unique spot!
O. H.
I visited the pumpkin display at Dalston Garden last night and it was beautiful. As a big Halloween fan, it was the perfect evening out for me, and they had hot drinks and even allowed people to take their own food in. Several people were enjoying takeaway dinners on the benches, it was a wonderful atmosphere. I will definitely be keeping an eye out for more events here in the future!
P. G.
This is my all time favourite place in Dalston. A beautiful natural open urban green space. Get here while it's still here!
R. E.
Friendly people, London prices but a great hang out spot. Right next to station so perfect for after-work drinks :)
N. C.
Great if you like being outside!
F. M.
Beautiful little pocket of heaven, perfect for 'working from home'!
S. G.
It's nice place take your toddlers.
M. G.
Amazing place to hangout. Absolutely stunning display of beautifully carved pumpkin lanterns. Free entry. Open from 6-9 pm for a week (Oct 20-27, 2019). They have a bar and pizzeria. Seating places are available besides pumpkins. Do visit for some Halloween related fun.
N. M.
Cute garden, but they need to make it more zen by getting rid of the playground. I'd like to go there to meditate or read a book.
B. F.
Very nice to go, have a hot drink and chill
G. O.
Great hidden gem in Hackney. Looked at the pumpkins displays.
M. P.
This place is a must in the area. Beautiful, spacious garden for the community to enjoy, with a rear space for children to roam free and a stage for the events that regularly take place. You can either just hang around, bring your own food (so long as you tidy up nicely) or get something at the café (lovely shortbread biscuits and cheesecakes).
Around Halloween there is a collective pumpkin carving event and then all the pumpkins are lit at night for a few days. The atmosphere is quite magical!
A. A.
Cosy place. Has an outdoor fireplaces, confy sofas blankets to wars out rhe chill. Must try the mulled wine and buttery cider
A. Y.
very beautiful and lovely garden.

Got attacked by wasps that wanted to eat my food (from nearby Pepper and Spice). Still had a good time.

D. O.
Absolutely amazing place to enjoy a drink
M. A.
Great atmosphere and kid friendly great to get away from it all right in the heart of the bustle of London.
S. B.
Community garden off Dalston Lane has a relaxed, peaceful vibe. There isnt much other green space close by so its a great find. There are sofas, benches, tables etc so its a nice place to meet. Food and drink available. Prices are average for drinks but they go towards the space.
A. B.
I had a lovely time with my family here - it’s so peaceful & magical. I even had a wee next to Asa Butterfield and a chat with him so there’s that too
S. J.
One of my favourite places in London. The volunteers have crammed it with flowers, shrubs, trees, fruit trees and herbs, and created lots of little hidden romantic areas. At night there are lots of fairy lights to keep that secret garden feeling. People sit on benches or cushions or wherever they like. There's also a wood-fired pizza oven and affordable drinks options. Bit of a party vibe on summer weekends, very chilled the rest of the time.
M. B.
Lovely open-to-all secluded garden. Last time I was there this summer (2017) they had piled a bunch of mattresses up on a small stage for people to chill. The whole place is littered with, let's say 'rustic', chairs. Bar serves drinks and there are loos. I love to come here to read in the summer.
T. K.
A really magical place especially in the evening & night. Fairy lights and candle light s make an intimate space for friends g lovers to meet. Good selecting of finger food & pizza. Soft drinks, quality wine and bottled beer & cider. Excellent service.
D. D.
Great space. Can go sit there eat your own food or read a book without buying anything. Sensory Garden. Smells great. Covered spaces with wood burner. A stage for performances. Kids play Area. Everyone welcome.
A. S.
Nice little outdoor place with sofas, benches and seats around tables. Plants all over the place, a small but good drinks selection and pretty good prices. They take card, have decent toilets and sometimes there's live music.
If you have a wait near Dalston Junction stop by for a beer if it's sunny.
M. N.
This is such a cool bar/cafe/pizza place. I would call it a beer garden but it's more of a beer park!
Very kid friendly, but also loads of trendy hipsters having a pint in the shade of the trees.
11 out of 10 really
J. G.
Really nice space, shame about a couple of members of staff. Seemed to want to keep a customers on edge, watching over them like a hawk for anyone having fun. 5 stars though for Ibrahim, who was really chatty and welcoming. Disappointing to then see him getting told off for talking to our group by one of the moodiest bartenders I've seen... she could probably pick up a couple of tips from him on how to talk to customers...
G. B.
Definitely my favourite place in London! Great live music, amazing and attentive staff, great pizza and the best elderflower cider!
Love how they take care of the garden!
Amazing vibe, perfect fit for groups or couples, even for kids!
K.
A garden of calm in the middle of East London. It's a surprisingly large space decked out with fairy lights, benches and hammocks and a little cafe serving a selection of hard and soft drinks. It's a great find and a chilled out place to catch up with friends. They also have toddler bikes so it's nice for families too. They're happy for you to bring along your own food but request that you order drinks from their cafe as it's the only way of funding the space - personally think this is a bargain for the privilege of hanging out in the garden!
N. H.
Close to the station, nice little community garden having a facilities of relaxing cafe.So glad to know this place!
E. N.
Lovely place. Came upon this quiet, green space accidentally. So pleased i did. Would not think you was in London! Paradise! Sit and relax, chill with a drink and a snack. Look at the lovely plants and flowers.
G. K.
Every area in London needs a place like this! A very pretty and friendly garden in the middle of a city full of buildings, this place is my favourite thing in London. It is a haven full of trees, and they make the best chai latte! Great place for working, reading, just relaxing or even having a casual date.
m. s.
A lovely little green oasis in the heart of Dalston. Well worth a visit when the weather is nice, particularly as you can contribute to the funding of the garden, which is under threat. A small cafe/bar serves fresh food, local ales (2 East London Brewery beers on my recent visit) and cider. Tables and chairs distributed around the pleasant garden, plus a heated large conservatory for when the weather is not so good. A great experience
a. T.
Nice garden with cake and beer
K. T.
The best place in Dalston. Great location, great garden, beautiful /chill / relaxed atmosphere. Really unique and different, feels like you are escaping the city for a little while.i really enjoy the crowd of this place and I would recommend it for everyone living in the area. Charming and extra relaxed venue
L. C.
An oasis of calm in the heat, hustle and bustle of inner city Dalston. Beautiful plants, trees and flowers offer a weary traveller a little piece of heaven. You can also enjoy food and beverages in this chilled out, bohemian setting.
L. F.
Lovely atmosphere. Good food and relaxed vibe. Friendly staff and beautiful gardens.
I. D. m. i. E.
An amazing hidden relaxing gem , mainly outdoors, live bands, birthday, table service, wheel wheelchair friendly, family,
Well worth a drink or three, 9/10☺️👌(parking leave the car)
S. D.
Lovely relaxing community garden that's an oasis of calm right by it's polar opposite (Dalston junction!). Picnic tables and chairs, allotment space, not too many kids playing - worth a trip. The new cafe is serving up hot drinks (such as tea or even mulled cider in the winter) and the blankets mean you can make the most of this quiet garden even when it's cold.
C.
Quirky hidden urban garden with many community projects and a café. Feel free to hang out even without consuming or paying anything in this hidden gem of Dalston. 🌳
s. z.
A secret garden. Really loved it. It was my first visit and fully enjoyed. Calm clean atmosphere.
A. M.
A community garden turned into a coffee and meeting place. It is like an oasis in the midst of the city. The coffee shop is maintained by the local community and it has very low prices. It has very good lemonade. Also on site they offer sourdough, freshly made pizza which is brilliant. On an even slightly sunny day, a great place to chill out.
P. S.
Great place and so beautiful on a clear day.
M. C.
One the loveliest, friendliest places in London. A must-visit during summer.
You can bring non-alcoholic drinks and food from outside, should you want to, but this gorgeous garden deserves your support.
K.
The Pumpkin festival was fantastic. Was unfortunately raining earlier in the afternoon so they couldn't light the majority, which is a pain. However the sense of community you get from the visit and snooping around to see what people had done to make their pumpkins unique was grand.
L. S. (.
A very special place across from Dalston Junction. Some is undercover but most an open garden. They have a bar, with teas/coffees/snacks and a pizza oven.
You can bring your own grub and sit in the allotment style area.
A nice community spirit and plenty of bits to get involved with if you're interested.
G. L.
Beautiful oasis of calm in bustling Dalston.
R. J.
Urban forest in the middle of dalston. It's places that we need more of in a city, which have a raw nature vibe rather than a perfectly aligned park. Great place for kids to hang, as well as adults. They have oven pizzas too (cash only).
S. G.
Quiet community garden hidden away from hectic Dalstonites.
Large city garden reaching behind the high street featuring many outdoor group seating areas which are perfect for a warm day/night also has a dedicated section for the British summer (covered up).
Cafe is run by volunteers but still high standard, also serves alcoholic drinks. Might be tempting to sneak-in drinks but remember it's a not for profit venue so getting stuff at the bar helps keep the garden open for others.
Overall a lovely space to chill or drinks before a night out in the area.
k. f.
Love this space - it feels very open and inclusive and is just such a nice place to go and de-stress for a moment. Its hard to believe this garden is in busy Dalston! Staff are super friendly and drinks have a great price - what more do you want?
D. O.
Absolutely amazing place to enjoy a drink
S. A.
I went there on a Tuesday, when Woodburner put on live music. The garden is a little paradise. There was a bar and pizza available - I don't know if that is open on other days. A perfect place to spend a summer's evening.
C. T. G.
Really charming space for having some drinks. Lot of space, nice food and cool beers. I was in this garden with some friends and my dog and we all had a great time. I completely recommended it.
N. C.
A cool place to visit but it’s not that cosy to me.
M. B.
This is one of my very favourite places in London, do go here, and support the garden by buying food or drink, or by donating. Its also a really good place to go to eat your lunch when it's raining. Very quiet and beautiful
G. W.
This garden is a great space for families wanting a little hideaway from the hectic nearby streets. There's a café brewing an assortment of teas and coffee for the parents, seating areas and a garden area in the middle. Some arts and crafts spaces for the young ones are cute as well, though the amount of traffic has made the pathways a tad muddy. Kids definitely won't mind, but.
A. T.
Loved this little cafe, it's an excellent quiet place to go in the buzzing scenes of London. Tasty drinks and fantastic seating areas outside. Brilliant little place to go when you want somewhere quiet.
M. C.
Lovely garden with large secluded winding well maintained garden area to sit and very friendly staff. Good for acoffee or a cuppa and homemade biscuit. Try the jammy dodgers, excellent. There is also a licenced bar. You will love it here. Coffee is good but it doesn't serve expresso drinks so no lattes.
J. F.
One of my favourite places in the east of the city I've been. Lovely plants, nice people, they serve drinks and the atmosphere is nice and relaxed. Must visit if you're in the area!
j. b.
Lovely little community garden with café. The menu is limited food wise but plenty of drinks available. Akso a local initiative for adults with learning disabilities. Lovely allotment garden, water cachement, etc. A mini oasis in the hustle and bustle of hackney
C. s.
Just amazing, pretty much the only spot in Dalston where you can sit down and enjoy yourself. They are quite good for drinks but not so good with food. You can bring your own as they allow for picknick-ing as long as you take your rubbish with you.
Z. C.
We came for a pumpkin lantern carving festival, let our imagination sail full wind. Thank you for all the volunteers for an amazing, and safe, experience for kids. Freshly baked pizzas, warm blankets were keeping us toasty...
A. Y.
very beautiful and lovely garden.
C. H.
Very lovely, fairy-tale like garden, extending far back, where you can sit & enjoy a drink, never believing that you are in the heart of Dalston.
The only reminder of this is the constant stream of beggars traipsing through, asking for money.
Nice range of cakes & drinks!
B.
Unexpectedly huge outdoor garden with cool little bar.
C. H.
Very lovely, quirky venue with lovely gardens extending some way back. Quite a fairytale sort of place, especially gound as it is in the middle of Dalston!
Nice range of drinks, cakes etc.
The only slight irritant is the constant stream of beggars traipsing through.
J.
Got attacked by wasps that wanted to eat my food (from nearby Pepper and Spice). Still had a good time.
F. F.
Absolutely wonderful- we came for the pumpkin/lantern lighting and the staff have done such an amazing job. Really lovely atmosphere and so nice not to feel ripped off like so many things aimed at children. Big thanks to the staff for such a fantastic job x
J. H.
A beautiful oasis. Do visit if you are in the area.
A. H.
Nice but a little random? On a sunny day would be lovely to have a beer in, but at the same time, there's extremely delicate vegetable and herb patches planted by school kids? I didn't know if I was a visitor to a community garden or grabbing a pint in the sun...
B. H.
It's an amazing little place,so off the beaten track, the staff are so lovely too,a real little gem!
T. G. I. L. M. a. S.
I literally live 3 minutes walking from that place. It is literally a little tiny park in the middle of Dalston. When we set up ARENA MAGNA MARKETING, we also wanted to support local businesses and Dalston Eastern Curve is a good example of why we were committed from the beginning to use 10% of our resources in supporting local businesses. Really nice place, great staff. Go and see by yourself.
L. M.
I stumbled across the Garden in late December, lured in by the sensual smell of mulled wine and the sound of carols being sung. Eastern Curve is a surprisingly large and very pleasant space in the heart of Dalston; there is a greenhouse which offers a cosy place to sit, a number of trees and some garden furniture and, as I experienced, it plays host to some delightful music and arts events. In my opinion it's well worth a visit!
J. H.
A beautiful and hidden little night gem enhanced with hanging handmade night lights. Although it is outdoors, hot water bottles and blankets are provided. Good choice of hot and alcoholic beverages available with hot food menu items.
b. s.
Lovely oasis in the heart of Dalston spoilt by not being able to escape the smoke from smokers. We moved tables twice and gave up. Such a shame as we loved it otherwise. Would love to go back but put off by there not being a smoke free zone somewhere not even down by the children’s area. Would have given 5 stars otherwise.
N. A.
Hipster central! Really cute garden area, nice to have a drink and chill with friends. The seating is made out of wood or plastic school chairs so it's very uncomfortable. But it's a nice relaxing, friendly environment.
T. R.
Wonderful calm and leafy little oasis hidden away from the dirt and noise of Kingsland Rd. The cafe is reasonably priced and sells lovely cakes. Great place to take the kids or just have a bit of peace and quiet.
J. K.
Amazing all year round. Festive lights and hot cider at Christmas to shady groves and ice cold drinks in summer. And all the time you're supporting a great community cause.
D. M.
Love the garden. A little pocket of tranquility in an area of concrete and over crowding. Long may it remain.
E. C.
One of my absolute favorite corners of paradise in London. The pizza is great too at an affordable price (a miracle!) And they host regular events, a must!
M. R.
Such a great place in London, for wood burner nights, community events and generally a wonderful little oasis of calm
R. S.
One of the best community garden led spaces. Full of a variety of people and always a pleasant vibe. Highly recommend if you're in Dalston and need an oasis to relax in from all the stress.
E. M.
Having beers in a pretty garden.
M. E. G. C.
A socialising garden: great public venue for a picnic with friends, or a date. One of a few places in London where even workaholics can forget the grey aspects of life, enjoying a drink in the green.
Nice concerts on Tuesdays.
M. E.
One of the best hidden places in Dalston! Charming and peaceful community garden, great place to disconnect from the hustle, just around the corner from the busy Kingsland Road. Good place to get some work done or just relaxing in a calm environment while enjoying a hot drink from the bar. It´s also a great space for families with children. A must-do!
D. F.
Brisket community run gardens. An oasis in Hackney. This place is brilliant. It's devoted greatly since I helped to prepare one of its first vegetable beds. In the day time is a tranquil place for parents, children and office workers. At night it is buzzing, it is dark, dim natural lights and laughter. All ways calming and special but perhaps too much of a 20 to 30 clubbers stop off. It is a garden and not a bar.
J. H.
Was very relaxing environment, you can get lovely cakes and beers/coffees at the kiosk. Don't bring your own alcohol, but you're allowed to bring a picnic.
J. G.
Lovely oasis in the city and such great scenery and staff such a brilliant to sit down have a coffee and the delicious raspberry and pear cake best place in Dalston
P. B.
NICE PLACE TO CHILL OUT AFTER A HARD DAY WORK ALSO PLACE WHERE MOTHERS AND CHILDREN CAN GO FOR CHATS HAVE A DRINK OR SOMETHING WARMS
S. N.
A surprising spot in Dalston where suddenly we found ourselves in a long sloped hollow, shaded by big, butterfly-friendly budlea. A jumble of crafy garden seats and tables make it feel like a VIP section of a festival, and compliment the more formal layout around the cafe. This is obviously a well loved community venture which has gone down equally well with the hipsters. Well worth a visit.
a. v. d. e.
I love what they've done with this place and it keeps getting better. An urban oasis with some greenery, trees, outdoor seating, cafe, community activities throughout the weekend incl kids crafts and workshops. They also have s covered space and greenhouse where they do events.
T. C.
Lovely open green space. Great live music venue and fantastic staff.
A. P. M.
First impression was great. Ideal for families as have face painting for kids. Not so much for singles unless of course you don't mind kids running around.
C. T.
Quaint outdoor low-lit garden perfect for relaxing. They serve drinks and food but gets packed pretty quickly in summer.
G. B.
Great place to go and visit!
C. B.
I really love this place. So different, so intimate, so cool. A nice garden, with a distributed open air bar (and some more seats inside). Worth seeing.
J. E.
Love this quirky cosy place that doesn't feel like being in Central London at all! But more in a well kept garden with pretty fairy light at night, bean bags to sit on a friendly, relaxed staff.
W. P.
This is one of the hidden gems of London. I probably shouldnt be writing this review. Its like walking into a secret garden hidden amongst all the buildings. An amazing place to relax, or on a sunny evening, to losten to some live music. They have home cooked pizzas and good cakes. Also a great place to work in day. Wifi and sofas under cover
F. B.
A lovely hangout daytime or evening! It has a real community feel. At weekends over the summer they have a Pizza kitchen there as well as the bar. A hidden gem and a magical space.
J. F.
A really lovely setting to have a relaxing drink with family or friends. A hidden gem!
M. N.
Gorgeous city space. I loved this hidden garden and the cafe was really well equipped. Food and drinks both delicious.
C. M.
Lovely at any time of year.
J. S. 1.
This place is a hiden jewel in London, a majestic place where you are able to connect with nature, a peaceful place where you can share quality time with your family or friends, where you will not feel the heavy city but the spirit of a tree.
R. G.
This is a lovely garden but sadly not a 'community' garden for all residents. Well, it is for a certain community - that of young, affluent Dalstonite hipsters and social media types but I have spotted very few black faces - bizarre as the local Dalston community is, or was, made of many African and Caribbean communities. And very few people who don't look comfortably off. This 'community garden' does not seem to be for the poor or old local population. It also charges to get in before 7pm on a Tuesday, despite its remit of being open and free until 7pm and woe betide anyone who inadvertently brings their own drinks - this is not a park or a public place as the rude and officious management will tell you. See this as a private venue with strict rules. I am saddened at the changing face of Dalston and the dearth of true community gardens.
K. P.
Sublime use of space. Locals MUST support it!
I. T.
Amazing place, one of the best ones to have a quiet cup of tea, read a book, draw or socialize with friends on Sunday(not only). Amazing atmosphere - feels like in granny's garden!
N. Y.
What a hidden gem! Minutes from Dalston Junction a haven from the edgy/ aggie High Road, through a narrow, unassuming doorway in to an oasis of green and calm. The thing which left the strongest impression was the birdsong (which I really miss living in Tottenham) 🐦🐦🐦
A huge outdoor space which is family friendly, serving tea AND gins.
A place worth setting aside an afternoon for companionship, organised workshops, or just playing cards with your friends in the sun ☀️
H. P.
Lovely to visit a wood in central london. Nice food a lovely log cabin and kids toys. A nice place to stop and take a break from the rat race.
E. S.
A beautiful little gem tucked away in Dalston. The vibe is lovely with super cosy sofas & lights. They have mulled wine in winter to keep you warm while sitting outside. Big thanks to the kind man who gifted me a pain au chocolat at the end of the day, when I was having the worst day.
M. W.
A lovely little place where you can just sit down, or have some healthy food. It's nice and quiet, and somehow feels nostalgic. Anyone can go!
O. P.
Great place to have a drink, relax and escape the hustle and bustle around you
A. W.
Absolutely beautiful place, an oasis in the middle of Dalston. Good coffee too.
N. J.
Lovelyflowers , peaceful and wonderful place for children to explore. You can also eat her
D. L.
Amazing undiscovered treasure! What a lovely Sunday surprise. Even more, it's free!
J. E.
A little slice of paradise. Paraslice.
S. K.
A glimpse to our childhood. Some gardens with relative tools placed beside them, a plastic small bicycle, some toys randomly placed all over. And that's an open air coffee shop. Brilliant
M. M.
Lovely community garden with food, drinks and live music
G. R. M.
I always love coming here, purchasing a still cider or elderflower cider (£4.50) paired with some baked goods, chilling for a bit with some lovely people, then heading to the Dalston Superstore for an exhilarating night out.
D. P.
Beautiful, tranquil sanctuary in the hustle and bustle of Dalston. Woodburner folk might on Tuesdays is consistently supurb. Pizzas delicious. We need to save this place from the threat of developers!
J. C.
The curve garden doesn't have a aristocratic reputation like many places like this no admission, free playground for children, can buy and create pizzas on Fridays and many different seasonal events
X. P.
Small piece of quietness. Well managed. Food and drinks are ok. Atmosphere is nice. Haloween is an amazing time to go with all the curved pumpkins.
T. C.
Little gem in dalston, best place i’ve found since i’ve moved to london! Favourite spot even if it’s freezing cold outside, i’ll cozy up with a blanket and some tea or during summer with a cool pint!
L. H.
Just the best place ever wth lovely atmosphere and good drinks and food
S. H.
What a great find! Excellent free spot to bring a date or a working lunch. I'm excited to see the frequent gigs they host there.
C. H.
Very good looks like it's a community project run by volunteers as they're working on the gardens etc and will be nice for families to visit when completed but well worth a visit now to see the work in progress.
A. P.
Come & escape from the concrete jungle of Hackney, if you live in a flat then it becomes your garden...it is safer than a park because you are welcomed by staff and there is no pressure to buy any food or drinks, one can just sit and read or absorb oneself into the communal activities such as gardening and craft, also a great place to take children & elderly
M. S.
The best place for Halloween with pumpkins and pizza!
S. V.
It's a super nice and cute place! The problem is that everyone knows it and its always a bit too busy to fully enjoy it. Pizza is also good!
p. s.
Nice garden with lovely beverages. The owners are quite lovely too
L. C.
Great music, pizza not as good as it used to be. Lovely staff.
R. F.
Lovely place to stop for a coffee or beer. Popular with mums and kids and their friends. Nice to have a wonder around and feel like you're not in Dalston
F. F.
This place is magical and is host of the Tuesday Woodburner gigs which is what makes London so special. Go there and feel peace and tranquillity. Proper ale and mud oven for fresh pizzas...
G. H.
Dalston Curve Garden is an oasis in East London. The non-descript entrance next to the amazing peace memorial opposite Dalston Library leads to an beautiful gladed garden with tables and a performance space at the bottom. Very relaxing...
G. R.
Great place to meet especially if the weather is kind. Charitable organisation
m. p.
It's one of my favourite Place in Hacney. Lovely, you can have hot or cold drink or just to seat in the garden to relax
A. K.
Great little gem just off the road at Dalston Junction. Been there a few times, there's a small cafe inside with sofas as well as wooden benches throughout the garden as well as a playground.
C. M.
Lovely peaceful garden oasis in the middle of Dalston. Hot and cold drinks, beer and ice lollies available. Child and animal friendly.
N. A.
Lovely laid back outdoor space in the area, with an area in the back with kids toys. Like a hipster mcdonalds!
Decent food, coffee and wine served.
T. R.
A true oasis in the rat race of London bargain tea and coffee and if you fancy a tipple they can help out there as well. Loved this place for the last 5 years and hope it stays forever...
A. B.
Perfect hangout to feel a community vibe, sample a hot drink, mulled wine or cider and feel that there is a space outside for all of us to collaborate, chat ideas and help each other out. Browse inside on Maps, pay a visit today
A. B.
Huge space, feels like you're inside of a forest, there's a camp fire for when it's colder
s. m.
It's a really nice spot to relax with or without kids. The recent addition of pizza hasn't hurt the experience at all 😊
m. o.
Absolutely lovely place, friendly staff, reasonable prices, open space and definitely my kind of cup of tea if it comes to catching up with my friends!
S. N.
Good prices, very laid back and hospitable. Can bring own food and soft drinks. Family friendly and pretty surroundings

S.
Beautiful, nice, quiet garden. Worth a trip. You can bring your own food!
G. C.
Wonderful community space. Had drinks in the Xmas garden here and it was class. Would definitely revisit.
L. M.
Drinks were awful, warm beer and cider which tasted like vinegar, but the pizza was damn good and the place is lovely. If youre a non-drinker its ok
j. b.
An expertly landscaped community amenity facilitated, resourced and maintained by a Charity and volunteers.
A commendable endeavour elbowing a 'fairyland' wedge amidst the suffocating urban sprawl.
Inspired and inspiring.
Y. M.
Amazing natural place
J. T.
Very nice place . Its different. Lovely hot chocolate and cake.we had our staff social here and it was lovely.
M. K.
Open garden and art space. We visited for their annual Pumpkin lighting evening festival. A true community space and long may it last.
K. K.
Very cool place. And the cakes and food were actually nice, not just hipster-priced bits of cardboard. Reasonable prices.
K. J.
We went for the pumpkin festival which was AMAZING!
G. C.

Best outdoor venue in Dalston. Also a great place to chill during day time in their gardens.

M. C.
Loved it.. Very nice garden and a good choice of drinks. Recommended
D. H.
Loads of space to chill, which is rare in London. Could have more tap beer and food options. The pizza is okay, but not amazing.
b. m.
Very nice place to have a drink with friends in the outside and have a chat without screaming at each other because the music is too loud!

Beautiful secluded garden based community hub. Hosts events, including live gigs and educational activities.
L. s.
This wonderful space is under pressure from the council. It needs to stay. Such a unique, serene and worthwhile spot.
C. S.
The best secret garden in Dalston to sit outdoors, eat great pizza and chat with friends amongst the trees.
S. I.
Great community space. Hopefully Hackney council will fail in their awful plans to obliterate the garden in favor of a cut through behind the endless awful flats that no one can afford.
B. C.
Great community gardens with great coffee too. Find out when they have any events on as they are well worth it especially in the summer.
R. R.
Amazing place for a drink. You can seat down in the garden and relax
C. J.
Well maintained garden space with excellent cafe and licensed bar, recommended

Despite the rain, garden was packed. Such a lovely place, smells pizza and mulled vine.
S. P.
Hidden gem of a hidden garden hidden in Dalston. Go visit and show the property developers it's not for them. But buy your food and drink here instead of sneaking it in as I believe it's all volunteer run.
M. I.
Really amazing! A standalone pub-garden oasis on a warm summer's evening.
E. S.
Summer is here.

O. M.
A hidden gem just across the road from the station, stretches right back and cafe prices very reasonable with great service. Needs a bit of a clean though.
B. O.
Confusing one way system. No one to greet you and offer to serve you even though there must be a way to buy a coffee somehow
M. A.
What a nice place with a lovely atmosphere. Drinks are cheap and the music is great!
c. a.
