We took the full day tour of London with Adrian in his immaculate Black cab. He showed us so much of the city of London. Perfect timing and position to watch the changing of the guards. Adrian was the perfect guide as he listened to what we wanted to see and delivered everything. He is a great person to talk to and we appreciated his humour and quick wit. We like to research and use local independent guides when we travel. Adrian was very highly rated and recommended and he met all our expectations. My husband really got a kick out of all the funny nicknames of the skyscrapers that the locals use. Make sure you see the Gherkin, Cheese Grater and The walky/talky building. Also a big thank you for taking us to a local pub for the best fish & chips and meat pies!

How do you spell Perfection! - ADRIAN and London Tours by Taxi! This is the second time we have used Adrian in the last year and a half. He is very flexible on scheduling tours and what you would want to see and do. This time we were a party of 2 seniors. We spent a day at Windsor Castle and a day at Hampton Court. Adrian was very kind and tailored the tours to our walking abilities. He was good at getting us very close to the sites. He was able to arrange for us to use the elevator to avoid using the stairs. His knowledge of English history is impeccable. You will have a great time with Adrian and enjoy the sights at your own pace. Don’t hesitate to book with Adrian.

We had a wonderful time with Adrian Rouse, who we really enjoyed. He is personable, a very safe driver, courteous and goes the extra to see that you have a good tour. He located the upcountry village that we visited and made contact with the church officials, who were lovely to visit with in regard to our family ancestry there. Throughout our travels, we have been fortunate to experience private tours of many cities and sites throughout the world. I can unequivocally state that the tour with Adrian was the best that we have experienced. Imagine taking a history class with your favorite professor and realizing that the class is over before you know it because it was so interesting, entertaining and informative. Unlike many private tours that limit their involvement to a drop off and pick up at various sites, Adrian personally guided us through the site and provided informative and entertaining information for each site. Other tour companies charge extra for such services. Throughout the day, Adrian's continuing efforts to create the most enjoyable, informative and efficient tour for my family became readily evident. From offering suggestions on where we can save time so as to maximize the number of sites, to going out of his way to park in the shade so that we can return to a cooler vehicle, his efforts were much appreciated. We went on a few other private tours in other locations during this trip to Europe, and none of those came close to the quality, experience and value of our tour with Adrian. We were looking for an opening day London tour for our family but wanted a more customized experience over a hop on hop off bus. We found Adrian online and it was perfect! He met us right at our doorstep, he has a spacious and comfortable car, and he provided a thorough and efficient tour of London. His humor and historical knowledge were perfect for our teenagers. Fabulous Private London Tour! We toured London with Adrian in August and had a great experience. During the planning phase, he was prompt in his correspondence and offered many good suggestions. He picked us up at the designated time and off we went. The taxi is immaculate and spacious. Adrian is an excellent driver. We had visited London twice before and and still he showed us so many things we have never seen. Adrian is very knowledgeable about the many areas of London. We took a lunch break and he brought us to a nice restaurant (not included in price) that was reasonably priced and the food was delicious. Prior to our arrival, Adrian had recommended a restaurant for dinner near the theater that we were attending that evening. He suggested that we make a reservation in advance as it gets crowded before the show. He dropped us at the restaurant at the end of our tour. Thanks to Adrian, we had a seamless and enjoyable day. There is a reason why Adrian receives so many great reviews - because he's great! We took the Hidden London tour and enjoyed every moment. As mentioned by others, Adrian is a wealth of knowledge and enjoyable to be with. The tour was the perfect combination of riding through London and then hopping out to walk for a bit. I've read the other reviews and do not disagree with any of the glowing remarks. Booking a tour on your first day in any city is money well spent. Next time we're in London, we'll choose Adrian again.

A great way to see London - March 2013 We booked a 2 hour tour of London with Adrian. My mom can't walk too far and seeing London any other way would have been a challenge for her. Since it was our 1st day sightseeing, it gave us the lay of land for the rest of our visit. We had 5 people for the tour and 2 were from London. We all had a good time. Adrian took us to the major sites, and was willing to customize the tour to include anything on our “must see” list. We got the opportunity to stop at various location for a photo op. Adrian was courteous and very professional. I have already recommend his services to my friends in London.

The wonderful and thoughtful experience started well before we arrived to London. After receiving a glowing recommendation to tour with Adrian, we communicated via email (very responsive to all my questions) - with his experience, Adrian knew to recommend the best time for us. We were debating between the afternoon of our arrival or the following morning - we did the following morning which sure worked out great since he knew we would be so tired from our transatlantic flight. The day of our tour was the first full day of our honeymoon and it could not have started off better! We were picked up promptly by Adrian at our hotel - the black car was immaculately clean and very spacious (and there was plenty of room for our luggage as well). Before we departed, we discussed with him the sites we had already visited the day before and he was very good about making sure we spent our three (3) hours not seeing anything we already checked off our list. My vision for this tour was that we would be driving past many of the different sites, but our tour was much more than this! We actually were able to get our of the vehicle and spend some time at the sites of our choosing - all this was along with Adrian's wonderful knowledge and history of everything London. My wife was trying to relate some of the historical figures back to some of the current TV's/movie's (The Crown, etc.) and Adrian was up to speed all on all of them. A couple of other fantastic touches: - It was a true London day with rain for the first 45-60 minutes of the tour; however, Adrian had umbrellas ready for us and did not impede anything we were doing. - The friend who initially recommended Adrian to us reached out to him and had champagne waiting for us in the car. At the completion of the tour, we were dropped off near Victoria Station so that we could take the train to Gatwick Airport - Adrian had an absolute perfect pub where he left us so we could get a pub-style lunch and a couple of pints before we left town. The three (3) hour tour was a great length for our introduction to London but could have easily spent the entire day exploring more of the city and listening to Adrian's informative and personal descriptions of all things London. We look forward to a return trip to London so we can see Adrian again and explore more that the city has to offer.

We used Adrian's guide service in the summer of 2018. We were in London for an extra day before we started a cruise around the British Isles so we had a limited time and much we wanted to see. Adrian picked us up promptly at our hotel and we were off to tour the city. We had 8 hours for the 6 of us (4 adults, 2 children) to get in all we could. I had asked Adrian to show us the "Hits" of London and he delivered! His cab was immaculate and he had a PA system in the rear of car so we could hear everything he was saying. His knowledge of London and her history was incredible. Adrian took us to so many places in his tour that I'm sure it would have taken us 2-3 days to do on our own. The little things made such a difference for us. He knew exactly where to be and what time for the changing of the guard. 0 wasted time. He even bought Ice Cream for the girls! I was very fortunate to have shared a trip to London/Liverpool with my husband and best friend. (unfortunately due to health reasons her husband couldn't come) There were many tours of London that I considered before leaving the US. Then I found London Tours by Taxi with Adrian. When I first contacted him by email. he responded very promptly and arrangements were made. When the time for our trip was finally here, Adrian picked us up from our hotel in a real London taxi! In retrospect, I would have capped our tour at between 3-4 hours, but Adrian had our group of six for 6 hours. He took us all around town and we saw a rooftop garden with views for miles, the Globe theatre, Trafalgar square, parliament, palaces, residences, clubs, shops, museums, churches, Roman ruins, gardens, memorials, statues ... you get the idea. It was a lot to pack in but Adrian did an amazing job. My favorite part of the tour was learning the stories behind common sayings like "one more for the road" et cetera. We would definitely look Adrian up again for our next trip to London.

When we decided to return to London, the first thing I did was contact Adrian and reserve a tour with him. We were fortunate to have found him in 2013 where we did a full day tour. This time, we’d be traveling with our son, daughter in law, and 2 grandchildren ages 8 &5 1/2. We wanted them to experience London with Adrian. We also booked a full day to Stonehenge and Adrian graciously allowed us to substitute The Cotswolds for Bath. We went to Europe for the first time last summer and in advance, hired London Tours by Taxi with Adrian Rouse. Our first day as tourist he took us throughout the city to so many places. He knew the streets, how to maneuver through traffic and was always a safe driver. He had lots of history to share with us and was able to answer our many questions. One of my favorite moments occurred when he pulled up to the curb and told to go and wait right by a gate so we would have a first hand up close look at the Queen's Guard regiment when they came out to play and march. He quickly went to park and met back up with us. Now that was curb side service at its best. We had a great day with Adrian. I highly recommend him if you want to see London.

Day Layover in London with a 12 hour layover in London we didn't want to stay in the airport. After arriving on a red night overnight flight, the idea of tackling London on our own with little sleep was not appealing. London Tours by Taxi was the perfect solution. Adrian was beyond amazing. I can't say enough good things and if I could give 10 stars I would. I had a 7 hour layover in London and being that I never been I thought I would do a quick tour just to get a taste of this beautiful city. Before I even booked Adrian gave me the great tip of taking the Heathrow Express from Heathrow to Paddington to save time and also to get more time with him on the tour. It was great advise and I was very pleased. Getting to paddington he was waiting for me with a small sign with my name. He said hello and was very sweet and friendly. The car was nice, it was new, clean and with ac. We get underway and right away he starts telling me about the history and we start heading to all the different sights. We stopped a few places where we could and got out of the car, took some pictures the whole time being very attentive and explaining everything which I very much appreciated it! Adrian is just a book of knowledge. He knew little bits and pieces of history of every where we were passing by and I really liked that. I looooved listening to all the history and little facts about the places. He had a little sense of humor as well which was great! Made the trip very fun! I had an amazing time! He planned all the stops perfectly and at the end he dropped me off at Paddington right on time so that I could head back to the airport. I was very thankful for the little tour he did with me and can't wait to be back in London one day! I did promise I would be back with my husband and with tons of time so I can do another tour with him, this time a longer one! There are non better than Adrian. He was our guide for two days. The first day we toured London and he knew all of the ins and outs of London. When we had to use the bathroom he knew of one right near Buckingham Palace and pulled appropriate change out of his pocket for the pay toilet. The next day we did Stonehenge and the Cotswolds. His knowledge of place is first rate. And he is beyond pleasant.

I was a little leery at first. My wife booked Adrian and I was afraid we'd just be driving around having locations pointed out, when I prefer to experience them. I couldn't have been more wrong. From the moment I met Adrian, he was a fountain of information, provided with a dry, self-deprecating humor that was tailored on the fly to each of the 6 members in our party. As quickly as any attorney I've met, he sussed out our interests and seamlessly incorporated them into the itinerary. It was, simply put, amazing. He didn't just point out where interesting things were (though he did that too), rather, he parked the taxi and took us out walking through alleyways and buildings. All the while he provided nearly non-stop information in such a humorous fashion that my daughters couldn't help getting caught up in in a variety of historical topics I'd been unsuccessful in ginning up their interest. My fascination with obscure historical topics (from Alamo/London connections to Miltonian regicide) was clearly in his wheelhouse, PLUS he arranged (I'm sure) for Harry and Meghan to drive by within feet of my girls, to their delight. He knows where every available restroom was located and, seriously, he expounded on every topic from Londinium to movie locations. History to pop to architecture. An additional practical benefit that helped out the rest of our stay was orientation. Where to go to find what we wanted. Do not miss out on this.

SAVE TIME, MONEY AND HAVE A BLAST! Our family of four hired Adrian for to help "orient us" for our first trip to London for celebrate milestone birthdays. He picked us up right on time, showed us all the sights we were interested in (and many more he did not want us to miss and that we did not know about) during our visit. We would have been going in circles. Of special note was his caring about our comfort all along the way (water, views our of the heat ot the sun, making sure the walk to the site was not too long). We never would have had the funny background stories of English lore at all. In parting, he gave us "tips" for maximize the rest of our time and offered up to help again if we needed it (we didn't- but so nice to have a new friend to reach out to if we did!). Adrian is fantastic!

First off, if you can afford a private driver, do it. We experienced so much more taking private tours vs a group tour. You are one on one with the driver and it allows the maximum experience for your day. Adrian picked us up in his shiny new Mercedes and my husband, sister and I headed for the Cotswolds. We were away from 9am til 7pm. It was the best day we had in 10 days of England and 5 days of Scotland. Adrian told us this tour was our tour, allowing us to spend a bit more time at a particular place of interest, or move on. He took his time with us, was funny, witty, and knew an amazing amount of information. Our stops were Bibury, Bourton on the Water, Upper and Lower Slaughter, Chipping Norton, Burford, and Stow on the Wold. We walked the towns, shopped, had coffee and lunch. Adrian quietly stayed in the fray and was magically there when we were ready to move on. Every town has water running thru it, filled with trout, swans, ducks, and sometimes a kid trying to catch a fish with his hands. "It is a rich limestone stream and flows through some of the most scenic and peaceful countryside in England. The River Leach also joins the Thames at Lechlade. The Leach flows predominantly through the Oxfordshire Cotswolds after rising near Northleach" One little town is as peaceful and beautiful as the next. Since it was Saturday, there were tiny market carts in the square. Just selling veggies and breads and everyday staples. Chipping Norton had a band of adults playing music and we could have stayed there all morning listening to them. Bourton on the Water was packed with picnic families and children playing along the water. A beautiful town with many pubs and shops along the water. We stopped off at a lovely pub in Burford called the Golden Pheasant for lunch. My sister read a sign that said "Today's special: Buy two, pay for both" Adrian brought us home safe and sound, we enjoyed a nightcap and off to bed we went to dream about the beautiful Cotswolds.
