It is handy but I definitely think they could have been clearer and communicated better. I have been recommended a connection to Virgin Media which has had an outage in my area for the past 6 weeks - and I've just looked at my contract which states that my my monthly service charge will more than double to £57 after 18 months (currently £23.99). They have now reached out to explain it to me but I think it could have been clearer.
Long story short, now I have no internet, can't work from home and have no recourse.

Obviously, in order to set up the accounts for the utilities the bank account data must be provided, but the current way of passing the data - over the phone and without prior signed agreement about how this data will be processed - goes against all the best practices in handling the sensitive data.

They check for you the past utilities supplier at the address, warn you against some suppliers trick to charge you more, they even go the extra mile and provide a temporary UK number in order to book broadband before getting into the UK.

This was actually a pretty useful service. This is especially the case since I am new to the UK and this got me set up with systems I wasn't familiar with.
Update: My council tax was never notified and my wife was not added to my power account. I had to submit my own move in for council tax and now have to wait 5 days for my power account to be updated. I still haven't heard anything from the water supplier so I will probably have to chase that down as well.
Final follow up: The water account turned out to be fixed correctly. I chatted with PCM and found out that there was a processing error or communication issue between PCM and my Council Tax area. On a side not, they still have very excellent customer service.

However I need not have worried that have provided an excellent service in sorting out getting a good phone & broadband package with BT AND importantly for an activation date that is suitable for ourselves. This is in stark contrast with an awful experience with another well known provider that turned into an absolute nightmare even when i cancelled 2 hours after placing the order. (No names mentioned for that one but think Isle of Man motorcycle races!!!)
